Fishing pier
Naples Pier, a historic 100-year-old pier in Naples, is a popular spot for fishing, bird-watching, and dolphin-spotting. It extends into the Gulf of Mexico and offers stunning sunset views that attract amateur photographers. Visitors can rent fishing poles from outfitters or simply enjoy a leisurely walk along the pier. Nearby attractions include the Historic Palm Cottage and several free historical museums maintained by Collier County.
Nice time relaxing at the beach. Pier is still closed from Hurricane but rebuild plans look nice. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Robert B — Google review
The pier was broken from the hurricane when i visited and the public isn't allowed to enter. Parking here is very expensive so take that into consideration. The beach still looked nice even though it was raining before. The renders of the new pier look promising, can't wait to see it when it's done.
Marc M — Google review
Very awesome beach! Sand feels like sugar in your toes! 2nd time in my life at 42 being at the ocean. I'm glad I got to visit here a couple times during our visit. My 4 year old loved sifting sea shells. There are bathrooms and outdoor showers to wash sand off. Water was nice and salty. Got to watch the sunset. That was awesome. Nice long distance lots of room for everyone. Everyone is friendly. So relaxing. .
Tonya R — Google review
Drove from Miami, stopped on my way up to Tampa because the pier is so highly regarded. Turns out it has been closed for a while. The fisherman are still out today though, the sand is soft and white, folks enjoying the beach, and the sound of the waves are still nice. Will be great if the pier ever reopens. Bathrooms are clean, there are lifejackets available for public use (mainly for kids) and the area seems maintained well. Parking is available just short walk down the street for $5 per hour. Public beach access
Jordan M — Google review
Naples Pier is one of the most iconic and relaxing spots in the area. The pier is currently under repair but there is access to the beach. The beach surrounding the pier is absolutely beautiful, with soft white sand and typically crystal-clear waters that are calm and peaceful—perfect for swimming, lounging, or just floating in the water. It’s an ideal place for families or anyone looking to unwind by the ocean without big waves or strong currents. The pier itself offers some of the most stunning views in Naples. Whether you walk out to enjoy the ocean breeze, watch people fish, or catch the sunset, the perspective from the end of the pier is truly special. On clear days, the colors of the water range from turquoise to deep blue, creating postcard-worthy scenery. It’s a must-visit if you’re in Naples.
Manuel A — Google review
Definitely recommend this place! It’s so beautiful here. Unfortunately the pier was still closed last time we visited (Winter 2024). Hasn’t been open since Ian. Hopefully they’ll open it up soon again tho :]
Joel — Google review
Beautiful beaches and area, but pier was closed down. Looks like the end was destroyed.
Tommie T — Google review
What a beautiful place! The beach is really pretty and while the pier is not open due to hurricane damage, it doesn't take away from the beauty of the area. There are lots of shells and if you walk north, it's a lot less crowded. Parking is a challenge - took us awhile but we eventually got a spot in the paid lot across the street from the entrance. Definitely get there early if you want parking. The restrooms are also clean - big win.

History museum

Specialty Museums
Naples Depot Museum, housed in a restored train station, delves into the region's transportation history. It showcases how railroads played a pivotal role in transforming Naples from a small village to a bustling tourist destination. The museum features exhibits displaying various modes of transportation, including Seminole artifacts, swamp buggies, and vintage rail cars. Visitors can also experience the arrival of the 1927 Orange Blossom Special train through a captivating movie shown at regular intervals.
This was the first place my family decided to go on our trip to Naples. It's self guided but has a lot of informative signs and labels everywhere. We loved the various displays and the train cars that were out back. It's air conditioned right through, even the train outside, so it was very comfortable and we took our time to soak everything in. I'd definitely recommend coming here! Did I mention that it's free?? Enjoy!
Judi–Ann G — Google review
very nice museum, we spent about an hour and a half here, some very cool items on display including a refurbished rail road dining car from the 1920s. Air conditioned, plenty of parking, bathrooms on site, and near the downtown restaurants and about a block and a half away from the trolley 🚎. It was free to enter!
Juan R — Google review
A vety surprising museum with high quality exhibits. There are some "standard" artifacts but the displays are well designed and the information is presented in a very accessible way. The conductor office and silver train car are worth the trip for this free museum. Donations accepted, and worth a few bucks at the least.
Nick U — Google review
Lots of displays and information about trains. The diorama was extremely impressive. So much detail! It was also really cool being able to go into the full-sized train in the back. The gal at the front was super friendly and nice. When we came here, they happened to be having a Lionel train event as well and that just added to the experience.
SueMarie K — Google review
Excellent presentation of the history of transportation for Naples. Includes beautifully restored passenger rail car and it's 1947 iteration. It really will give you an idea of the span of history and how many people it took to make what we have today.
Schmangus S — Google review
Very interesting place that is free admission, learn all about SWF/Naples train history both passenger and freight as well as the history of Naples from the Indian tribes dating back 8000 B.C up to modern day. I was here several years ago and it was fun then to.
Scott H — Google review
Super cool little FREE museum! A must see!!!! I took lots of pics but don't want to ruin it! Definitely gotta come here😁
Gail D — Google review
Great place for the weekends with the family and little ones. Free admission and close to the beach and downtown. I believe the train rides for the young ones are available in October.

Nestled just eight miles north of Naples, Clam Pass Park is a tranquil oasis that beautifully showcases the region's natural beauty. Spanning 35 acres, this park features a scenic 1.8-mile boardwalk that meanders through lush mangrove forests filled with diverse plant and wildlife. As you stroll along the path, you'll eventually be greeted by a stunning stretch of white-sand beach where you can unwind at a charming beach bar—perfect for sipping cocktails while watching the sunset.
Beautiful clear beach with a sand bar. Water is warm, small waves. Requires a mile walk on a boardwalk or a free ride on a golf cart. Restaurant and patio at beach available to all. Clean bathrooms.
Bray W — Google review
Really really great place to catch a sunset! The shuttle is a really nice amenity and the shuttle driver was the absolute BEST... Just the nicest friendliest man. I had a really hard time finding information on how much a chair or umbrella would cost, I tried calling, tried looking on the website. I ended up just going and hoping for the best .... For those wondering it's $50 for a single chair and umbrella. I think that's the flat price. Which if you go in the morning and use it all day is probably reasonable.... If you go 3 hours before sunset.... It can be a painful pricetag to swallow. There's a lot of pictures out there showing white sands and turquoise blue water at this location .... Just remember that it's the ocean and it changes. When I went it was dookie brown and you couldn't see your feet in ankle deep water. This location is also pretty popular so be prepared for a little crowding right off the main pier where the restaurant and bathrooms are. There's plenty of space if you're willing to walk down the beach some. I would say my overall experience was really nice.... However I think in the future I might try to find a cheaper option.
Karly S — Google review
Beautiful beach. Need an umbrella tho as no shade. No seaweed. Free trolley from cAr park to beach. Otherwise a 20 mins walk under loads of spiders!! We only had an esim so couldnt use the text 2 park facility. We asked a local and they kindly did the transaction for us on their app. 10 dollars to park. Should be some other facility to pay online.rather than text.
Caroline M — Google review
Scenic 3/4 mile walk opens up to beautiful white sand beach. Shuttle rides and concessions available.
Terrance R — Google review
Great beach spot with restaurant and cabana bar. Free carts to beach. Keep in mind returning on the carts from the beach back to the parking lot can get very long towards the end of the day, plan accordingly or be prepared to walk about 15 minutes.
Rizzo 9 — Google review
Clam Pass Park is a large mangrove forest surrounding several small bays with a beach extending along the gulf side. A three-quarter mile boardwalk winds through the mangroves from the parking lot to the beach. My wife and I spent the better part of a day there: we swam in the gulf, looked at plants and spiders along the boardwalk (signs explain what to see), and watched the sunset from the deck of the cafe (look for the green flash). A large sandbar a few yards off the shore allow safe swimming. Food, cocktails, and restrooms are available. Free trams are available to those who do not want to walk the boardwalk, but please show your appreciation by tipping the driver.

My niece was having her bridesmaids meet down here in Florida where I live. She went to school down here years ago. And she had to go to her favorite beach and it’s still awesome.

Gardens
Naples Botanical Garden is a sprawling 170-acre park located in the southern region of Naples, near the Windstar community. It features cultivated tropical gardens, walking trails, and The Preserve, which covers 90 acres of diverse ecosystems. Visitors can explore various themed gardens such as the Brazilian garden boasting over 50 plant species, the Caribbean garden with its Ware Palm Collection, and the Asian Garden with winding paths and stunning water features. Additionally, there are opportunities for educational programs and tours.
Absolutely gorgeous place to visit. So many unique plants, trees and flowers. Beautiful landscape with different themed gardens. Peaceful and tranquil. Plenty of places to sit and relax. The gift shop was very nice. I would like to visit the cafe next time. I would highly recommend and plan to visit again next time I am in Naples. If I was local, I would get a membership.
Kara R — Google review
This lovely garden is worth a visit if in area, peaceful and quiet. There’s many water exhibits w/ waterfalls and water lilies of all colors, my favorite part. There are a few unpaved trails to walk, we didn’t have the proper shoes, definitely a sneaker walk along the water. We stopped into the Fogg cafe which had sandwiches, salads and drinks. Go check it out, it’s probably beautiful in the cooler months.
Melanie M — Google review
A great place to get away but try to not go after noon if you can. There is lots of shade if you do go when it's sunny. Pack mosquito repellent! The lily pads are beautiful.
Linda M — Google review
Absolutely stunning, these gardens are just beautiful, such a wide range of flora and fauna from all over the world. Definitely worth a stop for a few hours.
Bostonh2o — Google review
What a lush and serene garden! Our visit was in early October, so it was very warm but there's lots of shade. We spent several hours walking through interesting architecture and views with large established plantings. The large pool full of lilypads 🐸has an infinity edge that cascades as a gorgeous waterfall⛲. This grand waterfall can be viewed walking up a path to the pool, so there is a fun discovery feeling as you tour. The garden club "idea garden" 💡 is quite whimsical - I can imagine the fun & collaboration by the members to plan and complete the many projects it encompasses. Nice job, club members! The Fogg Cafe has excellent choices with a lovely patio. I had a black bean burger 🍔 yum! Thank you to the creative hard working people who keep this place a beauty.
DD S — Google review
I really love Naples Botanic Gardens, it is such a calm and interesting place. I love the trail walks that are within the gardens there is always lots to see including different birds and reptiles. The cafe does great food and the prices are extreme. In short this is a beautiful place to spend a day.
Jen B — Google review
Naples Botanical Garden is hands down one of the most peaceful, inspiring, and beautifully maintained places I’ve ever visited. From the moment you walk through the entrance, you’re transported into a world of vibrant color, calming sounds, and nature’s finest beauty. This isn’t just a garden—it’s an immersive experience. Each section is themed to represent different regions of the world, and the attention to detail is absolutely incredible. The Brazilian Garden bursts with bold tropical plants and unique sculptures, while the Asian Garden provides a sense of calm and reflection with its bamboo, water features, and peaceful pathways. The Caribbean Garden has a relaxed, coastal vibe that makes you feel like you’ve escaped to a quiet island paradise. One of my personal favorites was the Florida Garden, which celebrates the natural landscape and native plants of the state. It’s educational, beautiful, and a perfect reminder of how much Florida has to offer. The Children’s Garden is a gem of its own—playful, interactive, and filled with surprises for the little ones, yet still enjoyable for adults walking through. There are plenty of shaded paths, benches, and quiet areas to just sit and take it all in. The garden is extremely clean, well cared for, and the staff and volunteers are always friendly and willing to share knowledge about the plants and exhibits. There’s also a charming café with indoor and outdoor seating that offers a great spot to relax with a drink or snack while overlooking the water. If you’re looking for a place to reflect, connect with nature, or just enjoy a few peaceful hours surrounded by beauty, Naples Botanical Garden is a must-visit. Whether you’re a plant lover or just someone in need of a peaceful escape, you’ll leave refreshed, inspired, and already planning your next visit.

Nestled in the heart of Fifth Avenue South, Cambier Park is a 12-acre oasis that offers a diverse range of recreational activities for visitors. From tennis and bocce courts to a softball field and playground, the park caters to both sports enthusiasts and families. The Arthur L Allen Tennis Center provides top-notch facilities for tennis enthusiasts, while the playground boasts an expansive setup that appeals to toddlers and teens alike.
A fantastic facility with lots to do for all ages. We happened to be there with a toddler and enjoyed the Little Tots playground. This was built with toddlers in mind and had lots to do, including slides, swings, ladders,. Our little guy kept busy for an hour and had lots of fun.!
Joe L — Google review
If you’re looking for a fun and safe place for kids, this park is amazing! It has clean playgrounds, lots of space to run around, and plenty of shade for parents to relax. Highly recommended for a family day out!
Oniel90 — Google review
This a huge park with two options for children to play on depending on their age. They also have swings and a blue climbing web. My children love coming here and will stay here for hours if I let them. There are bathrooms nearby and additional free parking in the parking garage. I highly recommend stopping by this park if you are near 5th avenue.
Karen L — Google review
What a crazy awesome park. Very well maintained with pretty much anything you could think of plus some more. Took the kids to play on the playground but they have everything here. Nice clean restrooms so you could spend all day here trying to wear your kids out. Thought the tree was cool

Nestled in Naples, Florida, the Revs Institute, Inc. is a treasure trove for automobile enthusiasts and history buffs alike. This unique museum showcases the Miles Collier Collections, featuring over 100 meticulously restored vehicles that span from 1896 to the mid-1990s. Each car tells a story of innovation and design that has shaped American society and automotive technology. Visitors can marvel at some of the rarest sports cars in existence while gaining insight into their historical significance and aesthetic appeal.
As an automotive photographer, I’ve visited The Revs Institute multiple times, and it never fails to impress. The collection is meticulously preserved, showcasing some of the most historically significant cars in the world. The attention to detail, knowledgeable staff, and immersive experience make it a must-visit for any enthusiast. Highly recommend! Also make sure to book in advance on their website as they sell out almost every day.

Beautiful building and collection of cars! You could really spend the whole day here exploring! Very interesting history and the volunteers walking around are so helpful and informative! They really have a love of cars and history. I would definitely recommend this place!
CHEFTIMP — Google review
Very fun museum if you like older and unique cars. A wide variety of Porsche’s. Some very early cars to look at. I would highly recommend one of the tours. We did the one hour tour with Tom and it was fantastic. He gave so much great and interesting information. The gift shop is a little small and can get crammed after all of the tours and with a lot of people in there. Other than that, a very great experience. The staff we interacted with were all great.
STLA_1020 — Google review
A stunning collection of cars - old and new! Very nice that one can get up close to the cars as there are no ropes to keep visitors back. The staff are a mine of information I have been here many times. They have an open hood day every now again when the hoods of some of the cards are open/removed to showcase the engines. Well worth a visit - good place for a rainy day!

I recently completed the RevsEd Simple Automotive Maintenance class at the Revs Institute, taught by Mike and Ian, and it was an excellent experience from start to finish. The hands-on class was perfect for beginners—informative and relaxed. The instructors were great at explaining things in simple terms, making even basic car maintenance feel fun. We learned useful skills like checking fluids, changing a tire and tire safety, changing fuses, and much more. The atmosphere was friendly and encouraging, and you could tell the instructors truly enjoy teaching and sharing their expertise. I highly recommend this class. It’s a great blend of learning and fun, and a wonderful way to experience Revs Institute’s passion for automobiles up close! 🚗👏
Debbie R — Google review
Staying in the area at a RV Park as part of our three week trip around FL. A visit to the REVS Institute was a planned stop. It was $20 per person but in our opinion well worth it. If you have any interest in automobiles, this is a must stop. Plenty of volunteers available to answer questions and you can sign up for a guided tour. Nice gift shop, restrooms on 1st and 2nd floor but none on the 3rd. Really enjoyed our time here and they had no issues with my Service Dog who enjoyed the cool air. If you are in the area, highly recommend stopping here for a visit.
CHAOSNCHECK T — Google review
Fantastic place. The best car museum exhibits I have ever been to. Wonderfully staged, and the volunteers are very knowledgeable and at every exhibit. If you're in the area don't miss this one.
Janet B — Google review
There are about 120 cars in this huge 80000 square foot venue in Naples. The cars are in pristine condition and are historically significant. There is a focus on racing cars and the museum provides a real cultural experience on the history of the automobile. There is a large exhibit featuring dozens of rare Porsches and a collection of beautiful hood ornaments. The docents and guides are very friendly and knowledgeable. A self tour will take about 2 hours. Tickets can only be purchased online and the museum is open three days a week. The museum has been ranked in the top five in the U.S. I will return the next time I’m in Naples. I highly recommend this museum.

Lowdermilk Park is a popular destination in Naples, offering a range of amenities for visitors. Families with children will appreciate the full-service facilities, including two gazebo pavilions for picnics, playgrounds, and a duck pond. The park also features sand volleyball courts, restrooms, showers, and handicap access. Additionally, beach rentals such as kayaks and stand-up paddle boards are available at the concession stand.
This place is great. Beach was clean, water temperature was perfect and no seaweed, restrooms were well maintained throughout the day. There is a outdoor rinsing area. Parking is limited so get here early. Concession stand offers some snacks items and staff was friendly. Parking is $5 an hour, bring your own tent or umbrellas but they also offer rentals.

Nice location! Bathrooms could be maintained a little more but better than most locations! Very short waves made it too hard for skim boarding, but the sand was great and not too crowded.
CHEFTIMP — Google review
One of the things in my bucket list is watching Sunset from Naples beach. Today we were able to fulfil It in this park. The sand is White, soft and has shells. The water is green, which is different from what we usually see, But still very clear. The parking is 5 dollars per hour, not too bad but the parking space is limited. Lowdermilk Park in Naples is the perfect spot to watch the sunset! The beach is clean, peaceful. Beach was crowded, but still plenty of parking and easy access make it a great choice. We came for the sunset and it did not disappoint—absolutely stunning!
Giuseppe P — Google review
Lowdermilk Park is a lovely beach in Naples, Florida. The sand is incredibly white and the water is crystal clear—perfect for a calm and peaceful day. It has a very family-friendly atmosphere, with facilities like showers and changing rooms, a small restaurant, and beach chair and umbrella rentals. You can also bring your own gear if you prefer. Parking is available at $5 per hour. The only downside at the moment is that there’s some construction going on nearby, so you might hear some noise from the building work. Other than that, it’s a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the beach!

The beach is great the bathrooms are OK. It has showers. I took 1 star because the parking cost is ridiculous 5$ an hour? Also not many spots, always a line to park 'if lucky'. That is crazy!

The Collier Museum at Government Center is a historical museum in Southwest Florida that offers interactive exhibits suitable for the whole family. Visitors can explore indoor displays featuring early settlers and American Indian artifacts, as well as outdoor exhibits including an old train and tour boat. The museum provides insights into the Calusa Indian civilization, prehistoric hunters, and the Seminole people's journey.
The staff is super welcoming and full of great information. The collections are spread out across small houses on the property, which makes it feel like you’re walking through someone’s private estate from another time. There’s such a cool variety of things to see—from a steam engine and boat to a tractor, military tank, art studios, and forts. It’s perfect for kids, with plenty to keep them entertained, plus they host fun interactive events for children in one of the houses each month. I really loved the collection that dives into Naples' history with old magazines and photography—it felt like stepping back in time.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, the train and Sherman tank were really cool. The day was perfect, and the shade was nice to sit in. Very cozy museum with a very rich history. Great for kids, families and singles. Be sure to have a good joke ready for Bev. She is AWESOME!!

Great museum. Bigger than it seems and it has lots of variety throughout the several buildings to explore. Beautiful landscaping that is a joy to walk around. Free museum (donations accepted and personally encouraged) that is more than worth a visit. Great displays (though the darkness of some displays cause glare in photos) with some pretty special artifacts of Florida Naples History. The Trophy Room is amazing. The cats roaming the grounds are pretty chill but don't want you to come too close, so give them space and they'll just hang out.

Tin City Waterfront Shops is a charming nautical marketplace located near Fifth Avenue in Naples. With over 40 unique boutiques and eateries, it offers a diverse shopping and dining experience. Visitors can enjoy seafood restaurants with views of Naples Bay, as well as quaint waterside shops offering gifts, artwork, and apparel. The area exudes a nostalgic 70s vibe and is perfect for family-friendly casual shopping.
If you go to Tin City around Naples, Florida don't forget the Tin City Sunset Cruise. Our boat had a wonderful crew. I probably will not spell the names correctly. Captain Josh, Brax and Michaela were very friendly and attentive. As you cruise the waterway, you will see many beautiful homes. Captain Josh was very informative about the homes with the addition of some much appreciated humor thrown in. At a certain point, the microphone needed to be turned off. Brax on the upper deck and Michaela on the lower deck picked up where Captain Josh left off. Close to sunset, we headed to the Gulf. We cruised around the Gulf until the sun was setting. Brax asked if any passengers on the upper deck needed him to make pictures of them with their friends and or family with the sun setting in the background. What a beautiful view being on the water and watching the changing colors of sunset. I will caution you to bring a jacket. After the sun sets it is a little chilly on the water and the ride back to the dock.

5/5 – Like a marketplace blessed by the gods of vacation. Tun City Waterfront Shops isn’t just a shopping spot – it’s a coastal bazaar on holiday mode level 99. Nestled between swaying palms and ocean breeze, you stroll through charming little shops that feel more like treasure chests than stores. Great selection, no tourist-trap vibes, and snacks to keep you questing. Even the grumpiest barbarian would trade his axe for flip-flops here.

Tin City in Naples is pure coastal bliss! This charming waterfront spot on the Cocohatchee River buzzes with eclectic shops, galleries, and eateries that capture the essence of Old Florida with a trendy twist. We wandered through the historic tin-roofed buildings, popping into boutiques for unique souvenirs and art that screamed beachy elegance. Grabbed fresh seafood at Riverwalk at Tin City – the grouper sandwich was flaky perfection, and the sunset views over the marina were unbeatable. The vibe is laid-back yet lively, with live music drifting from the decks and boats bobbing gently nearby. It’s family-friendly, romantic, or solo-adventurer ready. We’ve made it a ritual stop on every Naples trip – fresh oysters, craft brews, and that salty air never get old. If you’re in town, don’t miss this hidden gem; it’s the heart of Naples’ quirky soul!

Always a nice place to wander through. Friendly staff in all of the shops. Wide selection of things, from tee shirt's to jewelry. A nice wine shop with samples. Good restaurants on the water. The shops are expanding down the street with more places to eat and drink. Parking can be tough near the shops but there is a lot a short walk away.
Jeff E — Google review
Lots of shops and beautiful art from local artists. Ice cream shop, fudge, monkey bread and more. Ate at Pincher's. Great food and drinks.
Susana P — Google review
I walked around with a stroller. There are 3 buildings. You could get in and out of the buildings with no issues since they are wraps. But a lot of the actual shops do not have a ramp to enter and leave so I was limited walking into stores to shop around. It would be nice if they advertise or had something in there to let patrons know.
Jon M — Google review
We found ample parking on a Wed afternoon. Lots of shops, some were extremely overpriced. There were a few restaurants to choose from. We didn't try any. Every shop we visited had friendly staff. Very cool shop had shirts that change color in the sun.

What a lovely little market place, the shops have a beautiful collection of nautical artifacts. People are really pleasant and welcoming. The restaurants also looked great although I didn't get a chance to try them. There has been damage to this place due to the recent hurricane and most of the shops are under renovation but there are few open shops which could be explored. Naples Beach is a picturesque seven-mile stretch of white sand along the turquoise Gulf of Mexico, offering a serene atmosphere and a fishing pier. The iconic Naples Pier, originally built in 1888 and extending 1,000 feet into the ocean, is a favorite spot for fishing enthusiasts and sunset admirers. The beach features amenities such as volleyball courts, picnic tables, parking, restrooms, showers, and even free children's life jackets.
we are road tripping in Florida since two weeks and it was the most beautiful beach we saw there were no algae’s and the sunset was so beautiful. The water was warm. It was not really refreshing but still really, really beautiful. I can only recommend the speech and we also saw turtle nests. I loved this beach.
Maja W — Google review
Naples Beach is one of those places that feels like a postcard come to life. The sunsets are absolutely stunning — fiery oranges and pinks melting into the Gulf. Whether you’re watching from the iconic Naples Pier or just sitting in the sand, it’s one of the most peaceful ways to end a day. The beach itself is clean, wide, and perfect for long walks. One of the best parts? The incredible variety of seashells scattered along the shoreline. You’ll find everything from tiny colorful spirals to big, perfectly intact conchs. It’s a shell-hunter’s dream. It can get a bit busy during peak season, but there’s usually enough space to find your own quiet spot. Calm water, soft sand, and some of the best sunset views in Florida — can’t really go wrong.
Sid — Google review
This beach is a true gem 🌴 Soft white sand, calm water, and a peaceful atmosphere, not crowded at all. You can even find free street parking nearby, and restaurants and shops are within walking distance. What a great way to spend the day! ☀️🏖️
Glenn G — Google review
First impression: epic. But woe to the barefoot adventurer venturing into the waves – the shell trap at the shoreline is real. The sea was raging today, like a furious water elemental on a bad day. Entering the water felt like a Constitution check against pain – sharp shells and broken crustaceans made every step a challenge without shoes. Scattered all over the sand were mysterious files (possibly the remains of a drowned bureaucracy golem?) and in the center of it all: one massive dead fish, looking like it just failed its final saving throw. And still? Awesome. Wild. Untamed. Just how a beach should be sometimes. If you’re a paladin looking for perfection, maybe come back tomorrow. Today was for bards with tragic ballads in their repertoire.

This gem not only provides boat tours to explore the stunning local ecosystems but also features an indoor learning area perfect for rainy days. We had an amazing day at the Conservancy of South West Florida in July. The woman at the front desk who sold us the tickets was really nice and helpful. We took a boat trip up the Gordon River and it was amazing. Our boat captain was really knowledgeable about the area and had a lot of experience. We really learned a lot from him! After the boat trip we stopped at the Education Centre. This is an amazing place for children and adults to learn about Florida's nature, animals and ecosystem. There was also a small presentation for the children outside. I highly recommend this place for the education and the boat ride!

The staff did an incredible job of engaging the kids with fun and educational stories about nature and wildlife. It was a great way to spark a love for reading and learning in my children. The boat ride in the Gordon River was a great adventure for all the little explorers. The kids were able to see all kinds of wildlife and learn about the importance of conservation and protecting our natural resources. It was an eye-opening experience for them and a great way to get them excited about nature. Overall, I can't say enough good things about the Conservancy of South West Florida. It features a wooden walkway for visitors to explore Florida ecosystems dating back nearly 10,000 years. The preserve showcases diverse habitats such as pine flatwoods, oak hammocks, and marshes, making it a sanctuary for native wildlife including gopher tortoises.
Absolutely loved this hidden little park right off the main roads. A nice little nature walk on a boardwalk thru vegetation and tall trees where you can spot an abundance of tortoises 🐢💖

Nice little gem in the middle of the city. Really enjoyed the short walk in nature. There were cute educational boards along the trail, mainly talking about tortoise. Luckily We did see one at the end of the trail. It was crawling towards us, then went back and hide in a burrow. Super cute. There were also lots of birds and interesting plants. Fun place to visit with limit time.

This is an easy place to visit. You just pull in and can go right to the trail. A great little adventure and learning spot. The boardwalk is well cared for. It's not crowded, and there is a lot of nature to see in one little area. The turtles are the best ♡

This trail is perfect for people that can't do longer trails. It is wheelchair accessible, very clean everyone enjoyed it and they have picnic tables, nice sitting area and plenty of shaded spots. would definitely recommend and the best part is that is completely free. They have a board for everyone to write down how many turtles they seen along the way

The Preserve is located about 8 minutes North of Downtown Naples; about a 2.5 mile drive; next to the Naples Zoo. The boardwalk is an easy 0.4 mile walk through the oak scrubs and pine flatwoods. This is great for kids and it is stroller friendly. You'll spot gopher turtles and different plants/trees. The only downside to this is the actual location next to busy U.S. 41. You can see and hear the cars and thier music. I wish it were more secluded by trees. There is a beautiful Weeping Fig tree at the entrance as well as an Earth Globe and a garden. Parking and entrance are FREE and there is a beautifully kept Eco Center to get more information.

Additionally, this library hosts numerous engaging events for community involvement.
Wonderful clean and elegant Naples is! Great food choices, don't forget there's lots of independent eateries outside of downtown. Great art shops and small retail stores. The beach is clean and the sand is pleasantly soft. Naples has a perfect balance of everything! At night the lights are magical!!
Frank U — Google review
I have been here now about ten times. I have visited about fifteen libraries in over seven different states. I can say this is one of the three cleanest libraries I have seen. It has a great book selection. I typically read nonfiction on animals or technology & Christian books. The technology books on Python, SQL, data science and machine learning were all new & relevant from 2021-2024. They also had several newer books in the Christian section. While I am grateful there is so much activity and so many tutors teaching children, it does bring a large amount of noise. If you want to study and don’t have noise canceling headphones, do not come after 3p.m. The library will be full of noise. However, I have also visited in the morning and early afternoon, and found the library to be busy but quiet. I am grateful for this balance. There is a designated quiet room, but it is not always quiet due to it being an open-área floor design with no doors. This problem could be fixed by putting glass doors in the designated “silent area” which still keeps the open concept of this library, as glass is see through, but helps reduce the volume of noise of the tutors. Occasionally there is also a loud story time event which sits inside a room adjacent to the designated quiet area, and due to the design, the noise travels greatly into the quiet room. Be prepared for this and you will be fine. It is also worth noting some of the electrical connections on the tables don’t work. Be prepared to search to find an outlet. This is an easy fix for a library. I’m sure at one point the outlets did work. Overall, it’s a clean, beautiful open-concept floor design with a great, new, relevant reading selection. The noise fluctuates depending on when the tutors arrive and the designated quiet area isn’t really quiet due to the open concept of the floor design. However, I still highly recommend this library when comparing it to most other libraries I have visited and studied at.

Very nice market. Grab a coffee at Tony's on 3rd, or a beignet, and stroll the market for seafood, paella, fruits and vegetables, and live music. The market seems to be more and more "pet friendly" every time I visit. I know I will sound cranky by saying this but too many owners walk with their pets down the middle of the farmers market with their leash stretched out 10 ft, seemingly unaware of the roadblock they're creating for the people. The market has expanded a bit and includes more esoteric providers such as micro greens, dried morels, and specific botanicals and energy drinks and supplements.

Very nice boardwalk park. You can walk for miles across pedestrian bridges and to a beautiful park a few kilometres away with a nice dog park. Parking is free at this location, easy to get parking during the week

Such a nice area to walk or bike. Bathrooms are available. Dogs are welcome. Stop by the zoo while you are there.
Paula T — Google review
Well marked and we'll kept. Part boardwalk, part concrete. On hot days make sure you take fluids. Is connected to other trails as well. We've taken this hike several times on our visit to Naples.
Steve R — Google review
Nice hidden gem on wilderness and hiking/biking trails. Wide boardwalk or paved section as well as some dirt trails. Being able to hear the monkeys and lions at the zoo really add a neat feel. There is a decent parking lot and bathrooms at the north trail head, as well as many dog poop stations along the way

Had the opportunity to visit the Gordon River Greenway Park in Naples recently. It’s a peaceful little escape within the city, providing a nice blend of green spaces and tranquil river views. The park is well-maintained and offers several trails, perfect for a leisurely walk or jog. The shaded paths make it comfortable even on warmer days. Overall, a good spot to relax and take in some natural beauty. Worth a visit if you’re in Naples.

The CREW Bird Rookery Swamp Trails is a former logging site that has been transformed into a popular destination for birders, hikers, and bikers. The park offers 12 miles of trails for hiking and biking, as well as a boardwalk for visitors to explore. However, those who visit should be aware that the area is home to numerous alligators and it is recommended to leave small dogs at home and carry small children.
Awesome trail. I did the full loop. I saw many types of birds, multiple snakes, and many alligators of all sizes. I would not recommend walking the loop unless you are very confident around wildlife and specifically within chomping distance of alligators. There were at least a dozen, maybe a few dozen, alligators on or directly next to the trail; it gets a bit scary. Some will be taking up the entire trail and there is no way to walk around without walking in the water. PLAN AHEAD WITH PLENTY OF TIME, WATER AND SNACKS. It would be very possible to get spooked and get stuck for a while. I did this alone but I would not recommend it. If you do this alone I would definitely let someone know when you start and when you plan on finishing/checking in.
J A — Google review
Nice boardwalk (for walking only) through part of a huge watershed. Information signs as you walk. Moderated busy, but you can still enjoy it. A wide variety of birds and of course alligators. Alligators are located by the parking, and we saw lots of them down the dirt trail from the parking lot. Those being very close to the trail. You can bike on the dirt trail and around the surrounding area.
Wayne F — Google review
This place is a birder’s paradise. Even the road leading to the parking lot had a diversity of birds coexisting. Surprisingly, the further I was in the trail the less birds I saw. But it’s still a beautiful and peaceful walk. Highlights were seeing painted buntings and hearing a barred owl. Other than birds, I saw one gator and a raccoon. Perfect Florida winter activity. Planning on joining a guided hike in the future!
Kayla A — Google review
I had fun until my little girl saw these 2😂 Then our daddy/daughter hike quickly ended. But seriously beautiful trail. Saw other wildlife that was daughter approved-cool waterfowl. About the alligators, you are warned prior but some people may not like their close encounters.
Chino T — Google review
Absolutely phenomenal trail system! Impeccably maintained, clear signage and a number of benches and picnic tables along the way. Tons of wildlife, including some large gators that spend their days on the trails. Also lots of babies, depending when you’re here. The birding is outta this world! The majority of the trail will be dry no matter what time of year it is, however there are a few sections where encountering ankle deep water may occur. Most of those places you can jump over the water hazard lol Bikes are allowed and recommended for tackling the whole loop. I’ve personally never biked it, but there’s always a lot of bikers there when we go. The trail is narrow and bumpy with tree roots and gravel in places, so be advised of that. Plenty of shade for the majority, and an absolutely refreshing breeze once you hit the lake. (Private lake; don’t plan to take a dip lol) The system now connects to the purple trail of Flint Strand, making for an intense day if you tackle them both! The parking lot is gravel and probably 24 spots available, if everyone parks like adults lol Street parking also available. All parking is free and first come. They don’t have hours posted but I can almost guarantee it’s dawn to dusk. 2 well maintained portapotties are in the parking lot, and nothing once you’re out on the trail. No trash cans either; strict trash in trash out policy. Bring water, bring snackies, bring your camera, and potentially a change of shoes for the drive home 🙂 Highly recommend checking out this trail system! Oh and there’s also a bunch of geocaches if you’re into that! We are!
Erica D — Google review
Trail is nice to walk, run, or cycle. Not a lot of people. Didnt get to see many birds or other animals.

What a wonderful experience this nature preserve is to visit. The wildlife and trees and fauna are very calming. The birds were numerous, and even saw hawk babies high in a tree. I strongly recommend this preserve.
Kris H — Google review
I only went out 1.5 miles and back on the trail. But it was an excellent flat walk. There was even one couple pushing a stroller. Birds an other wildlife all along the way. I will definitely go again the next time I'm in Naples.

North Collier Regional Park Soccer Fields is a recreational facility boasting a vast and contemporary water park, sports pitches, and walking trails. Situated in North Collier County, this marvelous park features numerous soccer fields, softball facilities, a playground, and a nature boardwalk. Additionally, visitors can enjoy the water park and children's museum; however, these attractions require an entrance fee.
A wonderful, large park in North Collier with many soccer fields and softball, playground, nature boardwalk as well as a water park and a children's museum (last two require an entrance fee). A magnificent place to relax and be active. Lots of free parking, easy to access.
Peter S — Google review
Great fields for soccer and baseball or softball. They also have a water park which was closed when we were there-might have been the hours though or that we were there for a soccer tournament. The bathrooms were a bit dirty and some stalls didn’t close because the door locks were broken. But they had TP and soap (although soap was low and some dispensers were out). Very wheelchair accessible, the only problem I saw was that the access from the fields to the sidewalks had a clay connection and when it rains it gets really goopy and gross, footwear and wheelchair operators would get very dirty after a rain. However, the fields themselves were nice, parking was free, many people had to park along the street so it wasn’t laid out well for a major tournament but for a smaller one it was ok.
Dr. G — Google review
We live 20 minutes away from this park, and we come with frequency. There is a nature walk that includes a boardwalk portion and a paved portion. The boardwalk portion goes through a Cypress swamp, which then transitions into a slash pine Forest. This path is popular for family walks, joggers, and roller skating. The community center has a large gym with indoor basketball court and other amenities. You can find bathrooms in there. There are also large soccer fields on the North end of the park. The playground within the park is called "Can U Dig It". It includes a shaded portion where kids can dig for archeological artifacts, or simply bring digging toys. It's a great retreat from the summer heat or on light raining days. The playground also includes large rocks for climbing, and two shaded play areas for kids of different ages. There are multiple picnic pavilions for anyone to use, unless they are reserved for parties.
Rosanna M — Google review
Awesome place to bring kids. My son loves the 'Dig-it' area, has Canadian Coral Rock to dig in with manmade artifacts to find buried. The Sun and Fun Lagoon is part of the complex (a admission fee is required). We will continue to return here.

Best soccer fields lakes walking path and sun splash and a children's museum all in one area Great place
Ryan B — Google review
We really love this park. It's much more expansive than I think many people realize. It's got an indoor exhibit hall, where you can also take care of getting your county parking stickers or renting pavilions at parks for parties. It has a fitness complex, fields for soccer and softball, a nature/walking path, a water park (called Sun-N-Fun, with an awesome lazy river), and a terrific children's play area. Parent's can relax because the area is enclosed, but open enough for the kids to have lots of fun. There are all sorts of jungle gym things to do, plus the "Can You Dig It" fossil dig. They've got some percussive instruments to play with that even adults find irresistible. There are a number of pavilions there, and if those are all taken the dig it area is also covered. The gym areas have protection from the sun as well. The only parts of the kids area that does not have protection is the swings, which we parents don't understand, but it's still a great park. They have all sorts of activities, classes and camps all year round. A simple search should get you to the county web site where you can find the latest listings of things to do. Oh, and let's not forget that the C'mon Children's Museum is in this same huge area of fun. It's fantastic for the younger kids!
Lynne H — Google review
Parking and restrooms are very close to fields. Soccer fields are nice. Lots of bleacher seating as well as tables. Bathroom door had a sign to flush toilet and wipe off after use. What???? Yes to flushing but not wiping off toilet. Stalls were out of toilet paper and there wasn't any soap or hand sanitizer.

Great place to have a family day. You can go swimming, have a bbq, take a walk along the trail, ride on boats, play sports, they have also put in this beautiful butterfly area and it's so relaxing to sit there and read a book and watch the butterflies fly around you. There are bears in the area now. So be careful with little children.

Where do I even start... This is definitely the BEST park I’ve been in my entire life... and believe me when I say this because I’ve been to so many different parks but this one... This park is truly PERFECT! Starting with the 62 acres in TOTAL this park covers.. It really is the perfect park to go for a jog, a walk, spend some time outside and admire nature... In one side, it has like an “artificial beach” where you can go and swim in the lake but the feeling is just exactly like being on a beach because of the palm tress and sand that’s around... And for jogging, it really is the perfect place for it. If I lived near here, I would definitely come here 4 days a week AT LEAST! It’s totally WORTH visiting this amazing park!

Built for environmental experiences for man, children and beasts!! Children will be delighted to play on a unique and safe playground. This well thought out area is designed with safety in mind. A forgiving surface to absorb any falls. Shade is plentiful with colorful canopy’s above this play area. Discover at the back of the park the true prize! A large trail with subtropical foliage until one comes to the end and take in the view. Oh what a view. I will leave this area a surprise to those visitors. It’s worth the walk to the very back of Baker Park! Notice the lush foliage along your stroll. Sunsets are a must here! Gorgeous. Dog lovers must take their furry loved ones to Baker Parks dog facilities. 2 large areas for small and large dogs. Fresh water and doggie bags are available. Great experience❣️We loved the beauty of this scenic park. Conveniences, like bathrooms, picnic areas, water fountains, and seating areas are abundant, even dedicated seating for wheelchair access. Children of all ages will love the playground and splash pad. There are also separate dog sections broken down by the size of your dog- super smart planning. Our Chihuahua enjoyed walking and playing with other dogs along the paths, and in the dog park.
