Lighthouses
Bodie Island Lighthouse, a historic 1848 structure, offers tours and stunning views of the Outer Banks. Visitors can purchase tickets online or at the gift shop before climbing over 200 stairs to reach the top. The friendly staff provides insightful information about the lighthouse's history. With limited capacity for safety, visitors can enjoy a guided tour with enthusiastic park rangers. The breathtaking panoramic view from the top makes it worth the visit, offering a glimpse of the Outer Banks and surrounding areas.
This is a great place to visit with kids! My children learned about this lighthouse in 4th grade, so of course we had to come see it while we were in the area! It has such a neat history. They open ticket sales for each day at 7am on the recreation.gov website, so I made sure to get mine right after they went live. It seems though that they might have tickets still left in the afternoon in the slower months. The marsh area was also great to check out and we saw a Great Egret fishing for food!

A very nice little lighthouse. It was very peaceful. Unfortunately you had to buy tickets in advance to climb to the top. It looks like you previously were able to walk in on the first floor however now you can't due to some people going up to the top without tickets. We checked out the marsh boardwalk which was cool!! The views are very pretty. Some people lost hats over the side lol.

Visited the Bodie Island Lighthouse during our way home from vacation in OBX. Since Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was closed for renovations, visiting Bodie Lighthouse let me fulfill my wish to climb to the top of a historic OBX lighthouse. The intricate ironwork and craftsmanship of the circular staircase was amazing. And yes, my calf muscles felt it at the halfway point but getting to the top was well worth it. The view is spectacular! Tip: it's easy to buy lighthouse climb tickets while visiting —there is a scan code at the front entrance to the lighthouse. The times are usually 11am (every 20 mins with groups of 8 people at a time) till 5pm, at least during weekdays. Tickets purchased at recreation.gov [Note, we visited a week after Labor Day, it may be more crowded during high season. You should still check the recreation website, it has a wealth of OBX info]

Stopped with the girls to check out Bodie lighthouse on a recent girls trip. Was shocked by how beautiful and picturesque the actual lighthouse and the grounds were. We didn't get a chance to the top of the lighthouse as you need to purchase tickets in advance, but that is an option if you plan accordingly. The employees on grounds were extremely informative, friendly, and knowledgeable. We were on our way out but one of the rangers was just about to give a presentation on the lighthouse and its history. Definitely a cool little sightseeing spot for visitors and locals alike.
Kelsey C — Google review
Overall a pleasant visit. What a great surprise, there was a 0.4 mile scenic walk too. Great view, informative guidelines on local plants and animals. Has a bathroom and that made it extra nice.
Minh H — Google review
Wonderful experience. The grounds and lighthouse were great to view and well maintained. My one disappointment was that the beautiful 2 story house was not being utilized. We arrived and walked up the cement sidewalks (not damaging the dry and stressed grass from summer) only to discover doors locked and the bldg not assessable. We read the info board on the porch and proceeded around to the lighthouse itself. With budget cuts and costs I understand but a gift shop in a metal “prefab office box” was very disappointing, again I wish the beautiful original house could be better utilized. Overall it was a nice facility and we enjoyed the views.
Charlie B — Google review
The park rangers are the best of the best! So sweet and knowledgeable, I highly recommend this lighthouse if you’re nearby. Do the tour, the view is stunning from the top!
Katelyn K — Google review
Really nice light house that is beautifully maintained. We got there and realized that you need to get the passes on the internet prior to arriving because there is a wait. They only send up small groups every ten minutes or so. The grounds and area around the lighthouse is beautiful. Also beware of the weather conditions because they might not allow you up or outside at the top.

Restaurant
Fish Heads Bar & Grill in Nags Head is a charming waterfront pub located at a fishing pier, offering a pet-friendly atmosphere and mesmerizing views. This rustic establishment provides a quintessential Outer Banks dining experience with outstanding seafood dishes and cozy outdoor decks. Visitors can enjoy locally-sourced seafood, live music, and cold drinks while taking in the breathtaking ocean views. The restaurant's standout dish is the exceptional fish and chips, which has earned praise for its delicious flavor and reasonable pricing.
Great food and atmosphere, right on the pier! Really cool place on the pier with seating inside or out. Tons of beer options. There’s also wines and some mixed drinks. Service is really friendly. Just a great beach vibe!

Amazing atmosphere. One of our favorite places to have lunch every year. The happy hour shrimp and fish tacos are outstanding. Can’t beat the ocean breeze and cold beer! The staff are excellent and friendly. Highly recommended Fish Heads. FYI…Parking can be difficult at times, so we walk.
Carl C — Google review
Don't turn into the parking lot! Park on the median on the right just before you turn in. The lot is angled parking with no outlet. It makes for some challenging driving when you have your crew of people. Park along the road before you get in. Okay now to the place...its awesome! They have a ton of outdoor seating but like today it was too windy to accommodate so they had everyone inside. Its a great busy beach bar. Plenty of beer options. They have seating that can accommodate larger parties it seems. Wait time is about 15-30 mins on busy times. No dogs allowed on the pier. Photos are of the coconut shrimp basket and the crab cake sandwich. Both were awesome. The shrimp came out steaming hot! The crab cake was amazing. My partner got the fish sandwich, I didn't get a photo but I swear they put both fillets on the sandwich.

Fish Heads remains the best bar and grill in OBX. The food is incredible and very reasonably priced. Best Tuna bites I have ever had, and it's really hard to beat their happy hour deal shrimp buckets! For beer lovers, they have the widest selection of craft beer I've seen at a beach bar. On top of that, they have live music most nights and a great staff. If you get there and have to wait, don't worry, there is a side bar right outside the main entrance so you can order select beers and drinks while you wait! It is a quintessential must stop every year.
Taylor C — Google review
Best waterfront bar atmosphere. Food ranges from simple (hotdogs) to delicious (medium rare ahi sandwich). Huge draft selection—no hard liquor on premises. Beautiful day, the water was amazing! As usual, service was great. Note: they are closed Monday/Tuesday.

Enjoyed lunch in scenic environment. Food was hot and fresh. Staff was very fast and accommodating. Weather was windy but was able to eat away from conditions. Enjoyed watching the fishing from the pier too!
Liz M — Google review
Ok, the food was ok. Hamburger was a frozen variety. Not bad but not fresh. The fries were some of the best I've had in awhile. Someone in that kitchen knows what to do to potatoes. My wife's bbq nachos would have been better if all the chesse hadn't been on the bottom of the plate. Again they weren't bad, just all the chesse made the bottom chips soggy. The waitress was good. It should be noted that we ate during a downpour. She still checked on us regularly. THE highlight of this place is being able to eat while looking out over the ocean. It is the coollest thing. Great views. It makes this place worth a try.

Great food. We had the flounder and scrimp tacos. Live music playing and a cool breeze across the pier. Had a fun time. I highly recommend this joint. Very very good.

Seafood restaurant
Restaurant
Sam & Omie's is a beloved seafood restaurant in Nags Head, with a rich history dating back to the 1930s. Originally a breakfast spot for local fishermen, it has evolved into a top dining destination. The menu features an array of seafood delights such as shrimp burgers, crab cakes, fresh sea scallops, and grilled marinated tuna steak sandwiches.
There's always a reason for places to be open for a long time... This place does exemplify that statement. Super fresh seafood, great and friendly staff, minimal waiting time and great food. We loved the scallops, fish and the fried calamari!!! Loved this place and we will be back whenever we are back around.

Great long time local spot! Food is delicious. The seafood tastes like it came straight out of the ocean. Portions are large. Service is excellent as well. This place just has an old school laid back vibe to it. Definitely worth a visit!

Since we were staying right down the street from this restaurant, we decided to walk there for dinner. We were glad we decided to walk since the parking lot was full. The majority of our party got seafood entrees, which everyone enjoyed. We also tried the chicken and burger both were good. We did not care for the seasoning on the green beans but everything else was good. Connie was our server and she was extremely friendly. We had a great time talking to her. We also tried the restaurant for breakfast. The food was tasty but not piping hot. The biscuits were delicious. We went early and it did get extremely crowded while we were there.

If you’re looking for upscale, fine dining, this may not be your place. However if you’re looking for good, down-home seafood dinner, Sam & Omie’s is a must visit. The interior and tables give the place a rustic feel, matching its storied history on Nags Head. We stopped in for dinner around 7pm on a Saturday. No wait and we were seated straight away. It was our server’s second day, a fact we never would have known had she not dropped it on casual conversation. Service was great! I had the crab dip for an appetizer and broiled crab cakes with collard greens and black beans and rice for my entree. Both were excellent, though the crab cakes felt a bit on the small side with heavily shredded crab meat whereas I often prefer slightly larger chunks or crab meat in a crab cake. Collards were great, well cooked but not obscenely mushy. This is always our first stop when we arrive in Nags Head, and probably won’t be our last stop this trip!

Very casual and great food! Staff was friendly and the manager lady said "later tater tot" after I got my late night to go order lol😆She was funny, I liked her. 🙂Don't ask for to go orders when busy or late night! LoL just kidding. I'm 1 for 2 on that but she obliged😊 Sitting by the window and looking at the pier is a pleasant view. I had the broiled Flounder dinner to go late-night, which was cooked perfect! Green beans seasoned just right, corn bread light n fluffy. Came back for the soup and flounder sandwich, which was a yummy mid day treat. I got a flat tire right as I pulled out the parking lot onto the main road, so I'm glad I enjoyed a nice lunch 1st! If you like to stroll the pier, add Sam & Omies to your routine when you're "down that way." 🙂🍤🥣🐟🍔🍰 It's a good place to stop in, Good folks, Good food! 👍😎🌊 Coming back next trip down. Reminded me of small town Florida restaurant. Glad they have been a long time staple where the road forks 🍴 A good reason to stop in. Turn Left? Turn right? 🛑Stop at Sam&Omies!🙂

Totally packed for dinner. Hardly any seating for couples. Mostly a family(4+) dining area unless you sit at the bar, which would've been fine if they put subtitles on the TV so you'd know what was going on, which was kinda frustrating, cause it was an episode of Big Bang Theory. Had the grilled marinated tuna dinner with mashed potatoes and green beans, cornbread and an extra cup of crab soup. Tune was bland, and tasted as if it wasn't marinated at all, or with very weak ingredients. Green beans tasted like they were from a can. Crab in crab soup was imitation crab. For $8 a cup you'd think they'd use real crab. Cornbread wasnt cornbread. It was fluffy like a cake and tasted like the Jiffy box you buy in the store. I was surprised with how fast the food came out because I suspect they rely heavily on a microwave to do most of the cooking. Not accusing anyone of anything but the food came out very fast for how busy it was.

Don't let anyone fool you, Sam and Omie's is a true authentic Nags Head Seafood Dinner with excellent and reasonably priced meals. They have been around since the late 30's and takes one back to a more friendly peaceful time. We love the OBC, and love the casual beach feel. We stop here at least once a trip because it is a taste of memories gone by. Which we cherish. The wait staff is always friendly and attentive. The foods served are excellent and the price is right. We've never had a long wait to be served. But during peak times, obviously you can expect a bit of a wait to get seated. They serve fresh seafood. The shrimp pops when you bite into it. The Fish cooked to perfection and always a good variety of seafood offered. The crab cakes are huge and the portions are generous. The large house salad with fried shrimp is my favorite while my husband enjoys the fresh tuna steaks. The coleslaw slaw and cornbread are just as good. If you enjoy desserts, the desserts are made fresh by a local baker. They are equally delicious. We hope that Sam and Omie's never remodel as we love looking at the fishing photos and walking on the plank floors. Enjoy!

I recently visited the Champion Outlet store in Nags Head, and I was really impressed by the deal they had going on! Everything in the store was priced between $5 and $15, which was an amazing bargain. The selection was great, and I found some really good quality items at unbeatable prices. The store was well-organized, and the staff was friendly and helpful. If you’re in the area and looking for athletic wear or casual clothes at a discount, this outlet is definitely worth checking out!

A small set of outlets compared to other outlets I've been to but I still found what I wanted in terms of stores. I'm only taking a star off because they kept advertising pizza and smoothies and other food but there were no food options here. I'm assuming they are in the process of adding some food options here? But as of now, there aren't any.

So you know the bathrooms are behind the Talbots. Really nothing special, fairly reasonably priced Knick nack vacation stuff and a few real stores. The weather sucked that day so great for in and out of dry spaces was good.

Basnight's Lone Cedar Cafe is a waterfront restaurant and bar that takes pride in serving locally caught seafood and offering an ample selection of beer and wine. The cafe is known for its commitment to sustainability, sourcing fresh fish, crabs, clams, and oysters from local fishing traditions. They clean all seafood on-site and select vegetables from nearby farms.
Very nice restaurant between Manteo and the barrier island. The place is loud. So, sit accordingly. They have a garden outside that helps with their meals. Check it out. Great views. Our server was Emma and she was fantastic. The food is good. Plenty of local seafood. You can bring in your own catch and they will prepare that for you as well.
Kevin W — Google review
My family and I came to OBX for a holiday weekend. We were so excited to eat here after specifically looking for locally owned restaurants with fresh caught fish, and reading about the restaurant and family on the website. First, let me clarify since I’ve seen this brought up in replies by the restaurant: my husband and I love nothing better than fresh caught seafood, and have eaten everywhere from Venice, to Hawaii, to St Lucia, including countless times on the southeast coast of the US. We are not “unaccustomed” to fresh fish’s flavor as the owner suggests on other reviews. The website advertises panoramic views and their outdoor area, and while I may have been confused, it was definitely misleading when we arrived to discover there were no outdoor tables. Still, we figured the food would be good and fresh. We were eating with our 18 month old son with special needs. We had to ask for a high chair for him 3x. We had to ask for a straw for him 2x. I am 3 years sober, and was happy to have found a single mocktail on their lmenu, but when I asked about an unknown ingredient, the waiter told me, “yeah I wouldn’t know” and walked away. We were brought our meals pretty quickly, which was nice, but in my husband’s words, “It looks like it came from a retirement home cafeteria” (pics attached). We both ordered off of the fresh Saturday specials menu (that they posted on their social media that day); mine was yellowtail served with scalloped potatoes and squash and his was tilefish on top of grits…except they weren’t. I was served a gray, watery, undercooked tuna steak with mashed sweet potatoes and sliced pickles and onions sitting in a bowl of vinegar. I didn’t know what my husband ordered, so I asked him if his soup was good, only to discover it wasn’t soup (check the picture). I asked the waiter, “wasn’t this supposed to come with scalloped potatoes?” He said, “I don’t know, did you read the description?” I didn’t have the menu still, so I said nevermind, but when checking it later on their social media, I saw I was right. My husband managed to stomach some bites of his food, and my toddler ravenously ate their fries; I didn’t eat anything. As soon as we got back to our hotel 30 minutes away, my perfectly healthy husband and son had explosive diarrhea. I have IBS and felt perfectly fine, so I guess you can decide for yourself what variables contributed to that. I had hoped for genuine care for the food and location like I’ve experienced at other family owned restaurants, instead we visited a tourist trap that makes garbage fodder. Maybe their fish was fresh caught at one point, but certainly not by the time that it made it to our plates.

Great food. Their flounder was very good. Enjoyed them being open and not packed as others were waiting to get in. Wanted a good seafood place. My kids had chicken of course. Our waiter was overwhelmed some and couldn’t find him when we needed him. That’s why I gave low stars for service. Good and atmosphere was great and even have a little shop inside. Would recommend going.

My family and I were enjoying coffee at Charis Coffee in Manteo while deciding on a place to grab dinner. I asked the local barista where to go and without hesitation he said, "Cedar Cafe". He told us that they had the best chef in the area and served fresh local food which piqued our interest for sure. Another Barista rattled off a few other places that she had to think for a while to list but the gentleman gave solid reasons why not to go to them. So we excitedly went to Basnight's Cedar Cafe. The restaurant was spacious allowing us to have easy conversation. The windows on both sides of the restaurant were viewable from our table and the views were beautiful. Our server was excellent. She was born and raised in the area and had wonderful things to say. When I asked her what she would eat if she were sitting down for dinner, she offered two suggestions without hesitation and I ordered one. The Snowy Grouper was fantastic, the sides were also phenomenal! I loved that they told us who caught the fish that day in the menu. Everyone enjoyed their meal. When we left, we noticed their pesticide free vegetable garden where they grow their own produce to use in their dishes. It doesn't get fresher than that! We look forward to our next visit for sure.
Andrew K — Google review
After waiting for only 30 minutes, which is nothing here at the OBX, we were seated at a table by a window. We were greeted by a nice server, but felt rushed to make decisions on what to order. I had a question between two things on the menu, she recommended the entree that was a special (rockfish topped with a crab sauce). The meal was tasteless. My baked potato was not quite baked long enough, and the fish was cooked very well but just was nothing special at all…hardly something I would recommend to someone. The jerk swordfish was good, but the one an only meal we would return for was the shrimp and grits…which I normally don’t care for (consistency thing for me). But they were very good and a large portion of meat. I think we just had an off night because this place came highly recommended by friends. We may try it again some time in the future but not any time soon, with all the other options.

Fantastic place to eat! Menu was vast and offered really good specials. I had the Flounder stuffed with crab imperial. Food was incredible. Menu even shows the name of the fisherman who caught the fish. Live music was great touch to the bar area. Must visit, but visit early. They open around 4pm

My husband and 12 year old son took a charter this morning and caught their dinner. After calling around for hours we finally found this establishment that would cook their catch. Colton walked in bouncing with joy wearing a smile from ear to ear with his fish in hand. Carolyn recognized him immediately and made a big deal about him catching his own dinner. She went out of her way to share his excitement throughout the restaurant! Then we met Jeff and Stacy (server in training) who continued to share the excitement of Colton’s accomplishments with the fish. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, but the way they made our child feel on top of the world was above and beyond anything we ever expected! We will be back on our trip next year! Highly recommend this restaurant!!!!

Dune Burger is a nostalgic eatery in Nags Head, North Carolina, offering classic American food. Located near Jennettes Pier, this vintage red and white stand has been dishing out tasty fare since the 1950s. With no-frills service and outdoor seating, it's a perfect spot to grab budget-friendly favorites like burgers, hot dogs, barbecue, fries, and ice cream. While primarily takeout-focused, they do provide picnic tables for those who prefer dining on-site.
This place is exactly what you expect from a burger shack literally in the sand. The burgers are great, wrapped in paper, and just the amount of flat top grease you expect from a smash burger. The fries are shoestring and tasty. I haven't tried their hot dogs, but the folks in my group that have said it was great hot dog. All in all, the place is great for what it is, and a perfect late lunch spot.
Spencer B — Google review
Gave it a second chance - Ordered two double Dune Burgers. One burger made incorrecrly with topping and too much mayo on both. Appearance far better than taste. The hamburger meat did not taste good - mushy texture no taste nor seasoning. Three stars for the OBX Beach Burger Dive Atmosphere, which draws you to the location.
Amy — Google review
Like others have said, some reviews had me questioning if this spot was worth the stop. Only one way to really know. Ordered the double dune, dune, and dune burger with cheese. All burgers came with a couple veggies, and really generous patties. Onion rings and fries were likely best eaten fresh. Good flavor but not well traveled back to the house. I had no issues with the speed or service, stopped by at 1 and there were a few people in line. Probably waited 10 min. The burger was exactly what you would expect from a burger stand. It's not a smash burger, just a patty with some (actually really fresh) toppings. Certainly would return for another burger. Could it have been a better burger? Sure, but I left pretty happy, checks a lot of the boxes.

We arrived to OBX before our house was ready, so we decided find a place for lunch. We decided to try Dune Burger. The burgers were delicious along with the onion rings. When we went, there was a sign stating no shakes. The parking lot is small. They have plenty of picnic tables to enjoy your meal.
Edye B — Google review
Our servers were very friendly. The toppings on my burger were good but I was 50/50 on the patty. The onion rings were fantastic. Only order to-go only. The picnic tables had umbrellas but at high noon, there's only so much cover you'll be lucky to have. The nearby sea birds kept us highly entertained.

Dune burger used to be a cool little rode side stop and eat restaurant. Completely different now the burgers look like they came off a burger mill and was frozen to cook right out of the freezer… oh yeah and their “milkshakes” are just whooped cream with slight flavor in them so if your looking for a frozen mill burger and a whipped cream shake come here! But done get me wrong the burgers are good!!! Just the burgs tho

For one people have said this place is great undoubtedly you've never had a real burger. This place serves frozen patties that tastes horrible if I could have given a zero, I would have the only thing descent from this place was the fries. The rest was just BAD!!!!

yeah this place is amazing. every time i go here, the water is always quality and the service speed is fair. yes, the water quality is important. it is usually packed but if you get there about 3:45 you can get a table when they start seating around 4. i got the grill special and it was really good! the steak was amazingly cooked and the shrimp and crab were exquisite. overall such a great place and i will come here whenever im in the area.

Beautiful waterfront location, music on the backdeck and a 1 hr wait ( tell ya anything) the hostess offered bar seating since it was already 6:30....we accepted. Lucy the bartender/server was great. They offer a version of a mini meal but I still had 9 fried shrimp. Fried, not greasy, hush puppies and fries. Hubby had a pasta dish in a cream sauce, both were very good. It was a good stop for our first night and we darted across the highway to catch the sunset. No tall tales here...just good food

We had the most wonderful server, I believe her name was Susan. She put up with our crazy (and polite) party. The food was absolutely sublime. You did have to wait a bit but the view was great so we didn’t mind it. If you love crab dip, I highly recommend.

I went here with my wife. Everything was excellent. We were told a 30 min wait which only turned out to be 10. Beautiful waiting area outside in the back with a bar. Food came out very fast which I wondered if it would affect the quality. It did not disappoint. Everything was great. The service was great. Our waitress was great. This very well may have become my favorite restaurant of all time. We were planning to go back probably tomorrow evening. I can’t say enough about this place. It’s a beautiful restaurant. They also seem to have one of the best systems for handling large crowds and getting folks seated and getting their food that I’ve ever seen

Was told an hour wait, got in within 5 minutes. Got a lovely booth with a great view of the water. Our waitress was absolutely amazing, super attentive and kind to our family. The food was incredible, the seafood tasted fresh and the crab cakes were some of the best I've had. Highly recommend!

What an amazing restaurant! Go early as there are high wait times because it is THAT good! The nice thing is if there is a wait there’s an outdoor bar and pier with seating and live music. The surf and turf was unbelievable and was on special for such a great deal! The lobster bisque and she crab soup were also delicious. Staff was extremely friendly!
B A — Google review
Delicious food and waitress was friendly and attentive. Restaurant is right on the water with fishing pier out back. You can dress however you want here, dress up or casual, and you'll fit in. Sometimes can be long lines to get in, but well worth the wait. The building itself could use a refresher, but I also feel like a great seafood place looks like this place though too.
Crystal B — Google review
Based on previous visits, we knew that Tale of the Whale was very popular and could often have long waits. Since we had a party of 10, we did call ahead seating, calling at 9:30am to get on the list for 5:45pm. We arrive at 5:45pm and were promptly seated. We were seated in a large room which appeared to be reserved for large groups. While it was a bit noisy, there was ample space and we never felt crowded despite being in the room with probably 80 others. The table setting, while simple, was very nice with crisp white linens. The service was very prompt, and several guests in our party were able to customize their orders to get exactly what they wanted. I ordered a side salad to start and the stuffed flounder, which came with mashed potatoes and green beans, as the entree. The salad was fresh and refreshing. The flounder, stuffed with crab meat and covered with a sherry cream sauce, was perfect as ever. Note that it does have a fairly strong sherry flavor, which I loved, but may not be for everyone. We return yearly to Tale of the Whale for its outstanding service and consistently good food. We’ll be back next year!

Seafood restaurant
Miller's Waterfront Restaurant is a charming dining spot located in Nags Head, offering stunning views of the Roanoke Sound. Specializing in traditional seafood dishes like flounder, scallops, shrimp, oysters, and crab cakes sourced from the Outer Banks waters. The restaurant provides a casual dining atmosphere where patrons can enjoy fish sandwiches, fried baskets, fish tacos as well as burgers and salads for lunch.
All-time favorite restaurant on our visit to the Outer Banks. Our server was incredible, was very well versed on the specials, and the contents of this amazing menu. The appetizers especially the brussel sprouts were great. I personally loved the red peppers that they had in them, they still had enough crunch while still being cooked perfectly. Each of us ordered a different dish and shared amongst ourselves so we all got to taste a bit of everything. I'd recommend the shrimp and grits, the seafood trio, I believe it was called the cart but don't quote me, as I loved the scallops and the crab cake and even though the shrimp wasn't my favorite part of the dish, it was still excellent. The drinks were really good here. We sat and ate downstairs but they also have a beautiful upstairs bar that overlooks the water. It's a gorgeous location and the people that run both the front and back of house are truly wonderful human beings whose skills and hospitality go unmatched . Thank you again for having us and we can't wait to come back and see you again!

This is a beautiful restaurant on the water. We waited about 30 minutes to get seated which was not bad. We ordered drinks at the bar and they were delicious. We ordered hush puppies for an appetizer and they tasted hard and stale with a freezer taste to them. We ordered the crab cake sandwich and chicken dish and the crab cake sandwich was delicious while the chicken was a bit dry. Overall we enjoyed our experience here.

I can see why Miller’s Waterfront Restaurant is such a local favorite! Excellent food, great service, and a beautiful setting. We arrived just in time to watch the sunset over the sound, which made the evening even better. The she-crab soup was incredible, rich and flavorful. The Miller’s house salad was just to my taste: fresh greens with fruit, dried cranberries, walnuts, feta, and a raspberry vinaigrette. I ordered the Trawl Boat dish, which was perfect for sampling: a crab cake, four large scallops, and six shrimp, all cooked to perfection, with mashed red potatoes and mixed squash on the side. My husband loved his scallops (a generous dozen), perfectly broiled. Service was friendly and efficient, and the whole experience felt relaxed and genuine. Highly recommend!

Wow! Love this place!! The atmosphere, especially with the outdoor seating overlooking the sound or upstairs open bar offer fantastic views. The food is also excellent whether you're grabbing lunch or a nice dinner, there are a lot of items to choose from. The staff are friendly, courteous and professional. I highly recommend stopping in for a bite!!

Food was amazing!!! Had the tuna nachos and tempura green beans for appetizers, both were so good. My husband got the mahi caprese sandwich, I had the filet mignon sliders. We loved both our meals and would recommend the filet sliders for a more filling option and the mahi sandwich for a lighter option but both were phenomenal. Our waitresss was so nice and the view can't be beat!

We dined here on our annual group trip. It was a large party of 24 people. The staff and management took very good care of us. Amazing service and delicious food and the sunset view was the cherry on top. We all enjoyed this place and will visit again the next time we are in town. Little overrated for quality of food. Excellent location. Limited parking lot for size of restaurant. We had to wait a little to get seated. While waiting you can enjoy outdoor patio with live music and good views. We went there for dinner and it was weekend so it was busy. Food however is mediocre. Masa fried soft shell crab was good but everything else had no flavors. Felt like eating over fried food. I am guessing same oil was used over and over. There are much better options in outer banks for good food.

Food and drinks were really good. Fresh and delicious. We went there since April but I forgot to leave a review. I’m now missing the food and smoothies there. We will definitely be back this restaurant when we go to Outer Bank.

Location is everything here. The food was horrible. It cost $94 for myself and 3 kids to eat lunch here, and we left disappointed and hungry. Everything was flavorless and mostly just greens. I understand offering healthy options, and I’m all for that, but you can still season your food and include an appropriate ratio of protein to filler. My 6 year old was complaining about the grilled cheese and I kept trying to get her to eat it until I took a bite and it was literally like eating cardboard. Hard and dry. We were so bummed that I ended up just taking them to get Surfin Spoon immediately after to make up for it.

Good food, nutrient dense options. I tried the snickers bowl & my son had the chicken wrap. Nice location on the water. Iced Mocha was okay, not great.
John G — Google review
I was so excited to find a place that takes online orders and has GF options. The salad bowl was DELICIOUS. And my husband enjoyed the chicken bacon wrap. My kids enjoyed their pancakes (so much so I don’t have a picture). Since we enjoyed it so much we decided to order a second time and the second time was NOT as good as the first. The shrimp in my salad was not seasoned as it had been the first time. I had also paid extra for feta cheese and they didn’t put it on. They also didn’t give us any ketchup or syrup for the sandwich/hashbrowns & pancake. Just disappointed in the inconsistency since the first time was the outstanding and second time was average. We did take out both times and online ordering was easy but make sure you double check your order before driving back to your home.

It was such a fun, cute little café right by the water. They are family friendly (including your furry family member) and they have so many healthy, delicious options. The gluten free selection is excellent- the case of baked goods was almost entirely gluten free and the menu had more GF options than I've seen in a while. The gentleman at the check out is delightful, he's so easy to chat with and attentive to all the customers, even when it got busy. Finally, there's a shop area at the entrance with a good variety of souvenirs at good prices. They also had handmade mugs for really good prices. It's a great place to have breakfast or lunch and then grab a little piece of memorabilia. I can't wait to be back for lunch today 😊

Great spot on the water with a good amount of options for vegans. We got a few drinks along tofu scramble, with vegan cheese. Also, plenty of vegan smoothie options, açaí bowls, and protein balls.

Freshfit was cited by a national food magazine as having some of the best pancakes in the country, so I sought them out. I’m not sure we would have stopped otherwise, as it looks like just another smoothie bar. But once we did, we ate several more meals there. Their food and portion sizes are fantastic and everything is prepared fresh. Located right on the sound with waterfront tables. And the pancakes were really good too! Highly recommend.

Freshfit Cafe was so cute! The workers were very helpful and kind. The food was very good and service was speedy and neat. We ordered the blueberry pancakes and several types of omelets with hash browns, as well as some specialty coffees. The omelets came scrambled which I hadn’t had before, but they were very delicious!! Very cute place and I will definitely be back!

Jockey's Ridge State Park, located in the Outer Banks, is home to the East Coast's tallest dune. Visitors can enjoy activities such as hang gliding, hiking, and sand surfing. The park offers stunning views of the ocean and sound from the top of the 100-foot tall dune. It is a popular spot for kite flying and sand sledding, with Kitty Hawk Kites providing hang gliding lessons on-site.
This is a beautiful state park!! You can get 'lost' from the rest of the world and have a lot of fun. It is very windy, which makes for great kite flying or hang gliding. They offer hang gliding lessons here. There is a kite store across the street to purchase kites!! There is a recently uncovered sand castle from a mini golf place from the 1970s. That was pretty cool to see. In the early, quiet mornings, you may see some wildlife or animal tracks in the sand, including foxes, coyotes, and opossums. I fly kites frequently, but have never visited a spot as great to fly as here!Additionally, this place is great to watch the sunset from

Pleasantly surprised by this location! Went on a cloudy day so it wasn’t hot, super windy and VERY cool. Like walking on the moon! The views are incredible, so much space, and not a too far walk. Loved it! The visitor center is also super nice and informative and they had free stickers :) AND DOG FRIENDLY

This is a really cool place. I have a few tips after being here. Bring some kinda shoes that are throw aways. Crocs and sandals are useless in sand. The sand is not smooth like the beach it’s more gritty and sharp in places. Absolutely beautiful views from on top. We flew kites from on top and what a blast it was. Definitely can see why the Wright Brothers got flight near by. It’s a lot of walking here and it’s on soft sand so it really slows you down.

The tallest sand dunes in Eastern US are a beautiful sight to see. Been coming to Jockey's Ridge since I've been grade school and it nice to see that this site is being well maintained. These dunes are not an easy feat but well worth the uphill climb. Definitely a place to visit for nature lovers, very serene. Great free adventure for solo, couple, or family trips!

I am working my way through the 42 state parks in Nc and we went to Jockeys Ridge yesterday and the evening before. The best time to go is about 30 minutes before the sun sets. It has amazing views with a 360 degree view of Nags Head. The trail is all sand so as recommended I walked barefoot. It says it takes about 30 mins to 1 hour to get to the very top…I think it took us about 25. We went back yesterday morning to find out how to find the buried castle. We parked at the kite shop and crossed the crosswalk and the castle (which is no longer buried) was just a few yards from the road. Pretty neat and worth the stop!
Barbara B — Google review
This is a really fun and unique thing to do in the area. Theres a board walk through trees from the visitor center to the dunes. It isn’t a far walk up the dunes. It’s beautiful to see the ocean on one side and the sound on the other at the top of the dunes. It’s quite windy at the top, I saw many kites. I went in October and it was a perfect temperature and I was able to walk barefoot on the dunes.
Caitlin K — Google review
Such a massive sand dune! The climb to the top wasn't bad. If you're able to do it, I would definitely try! There is an observation deck, where you can see part of the dune. This is a great option for those with mobility issues. I also would not be bringing a stroller. We brought a boogie board and a saucer sled to try and sled down but we didn't have any luck with those.
N W — Google review
Looking to climb dunes. Taking 3 steps for every 1 step gained. Then thus will be the place for you. Once you reach the top you can enjoy the view, fly a kite, or watch others enjoy the area. Sand can be hot depending on the season so morning/evening is best in the summer.

Jude was really accommodating too to our needs, always keeping our safety first!! This is one of those things we'd do again in a heart beat - or in our case several heart beats.😀 NOTE: that day, the wind was low so governed the flight, but the scream of my wife verifies how much fun it is!!

What a great store! Though I didn't do kite flying, the store offered many pieces of merchandise from the area and of aviation. Also included cool airplane models in one room.

Extraordinary local store. If you want a kite to take across the street to the park, there is no other outlet for specialty kites in the area. You can buy simple kites elsewhere for a lot less (<$10), but kite flying in the OBX requires special kites for easy flying in the OBX winds. Expect to pay $50 and more for a kite you will be proud to fly.

This park has it all, concerts, interactive play areas, cute gardens, barbecue, great picnic tables and benches to sit on, you name it. It. They are also public restrooms, and a decent amount of parking. It is right off the main Beach highway and easy to get to. We will definitely eat here again. The coco loco chicken was delicious, juicy, and tender. Fish tacos did not disappoint. Many large chunks of mahi in each taco. The black beans were cooked perfectly. We weren't terribly impressed with the white pizza sampler, but the rest of the meal made up for it. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. These guys went above and beyond they had no way of knowing we had just arrived from Charlotte, and they were probably close to closing. But they still served our table friday night. The food was delicious. the best crab cakes i've had in a very long time, and our waiter was sweet and very hardworking! If you want good vibe and great food, I definitely recommend this place. 👌

We stopped here mainly due to its featured Caribbean islands flavored cuisine. Many different handheld sandwiches are also offered as well. Although the Jerked dishes were nicely done, we felt that the Jerked sauce/spice used lacked heat/spiciness, like it's missing the "It" factor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The interior decor was mainly island themed. You can choose to dine in either indoor or outdoor settings. So if you haven't had a chance to try out Caribbean cuisine, this may be a good place to start.

We arrived around 8:00 on a Thursdsy night. We put our name in for first available seats at the bar or a table. Meanwhile we had a drink at the timing bar in back. There was live music, which was nice. We ended up at the end of the bar next to the merch. It was pretty hectic, but I said first available. My partner ordered the special which was blackened tuna with goat cheese and pineapple salsa. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and was delicious. I went simple and ordered a bacon cheeseburger with extra crispy fries. The burger was juicy and flavorful and my fries were exactly what I wanted ... super crispy and salty! Booty Treats Ice Cream & Shave Ice is a bustling seaside shack that offers an extensive range of frozen treats. They provide a diverse selection of ice cream, sundaes, and shave ice concoctions. Customers can indulge in authentic Hawaiian Shave Ice and enjoy classic malts, milkshakes, and sundaes.
Booty Treats was a .... well .... treat! We actually enjoyed dessert here a couple of nights while on vacation. The first night, we were a little unprepared for the menu and didn't know exactly what to order. I asked the lady taking our order for a recommendation and she said that the Booty Freeze was the most popular menu item, but I was feeling more like ice cream, so I opted for an ice cream cookie sandwich, and my husband ordered a milkshake. Both were great! The ice cream cookie sandwich is HUGE and served in a bowl. The next time, we decided to try the treat that they're famous for. The Booty Freeze is where they put mini melts (which are basically Dippin' Dots) in the bottom of a cup, shave ice on top of that, and then more mini melts in the center and on top. I asked the lady what combination of Booty Freeze she would recommend. She said her personal favorite was sour apple shave ice with vanilla mini melts and a caramel drizzle, saying it tasted like a frozen caramel apple. And I was sold. Y'all. It was so good. TOO GOOD. They have a really cool spot to hang out in the yard at the picnic tables or benches, where you can watch the cars driving by, or you can take your treats across the street to the public beach access and enjoy them by the ocean. It's definitely one of our new favorite places in KDH!

Went here for the first time. All the ladies inside were very pleasant. The prices and items advertised were in stock and mentioned the correct prices. The grounds were not too bad. The seating out front was full, and we didn't realize there was seating on the backside until we were leaving. We got all of the items on our order except for one. I had waited 10 minutes for a shaved ice cup, and eventually had to ask the ladies inside about when I would be getting it. I think they forgot the order, though it wasn't too busy at the time. Can't give a 5 star when you're missing items on an order but would recommend to come visit if you are looking for a snack.

Our family stopped here for a treat. Everyone got different things and all were delicious. What a neat idea to make cookie ice cream sandwiches.

A group of 10 of us came they were fast friendly and got us in and out. Love the name! So much to choose from!

Nice little ice cream place off the main drag. Funny name and friendly staff. The ice cream was good. Lots of different unique options including fireball whiskey in your ice cream. They have funny shirts and stickers but no shop to walk around in and browse. Everything is done at a window. We went in the off season and it wasn't crowded. Wish they had a little gift shop instead of just hanging the shirts in the window.

Fabulous Hershey ice cream and slushes. Their pup-cup is more than expected- vanilla with peanut butter sauce!!! Reasonable price!!! Across the street from a public beach access too!!

The Booty Freezes are delicious. Tiger's Blood with strawberry melts.

Loved the ice cream and various options. Was a pricey but would go back just for the atmosphere. Get to sit comfortably outside at a seat of your choice.

SeaGreen Gallery, formerly known as Grays, has a rich history dating back to 1948 when it was established by Walter and Stelle Gray. The original store on the beach road in Nags Head has been transformed into a unique art gallery with 13 rooms filled with fine art and other treasures.
My only regret is not learning about this place sooner! The absolute cutest store filled with so many creative treasures! The more I looked, the more I loved & their back outdoor area! My goodness 😍 lizards, turtles, a duck, & Godzilla. We went in for rings (my friend had some really cute ones she purchased here) & left ready to re-decorate my house. Great place for unique gifts, too. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, clean restroom. The parking is a bit tight, but there’s a nearby beach access we parked at & then went for a beach walk.

Stop by! Stop by! Stop by! A friend suggested to stop in and it was lovely. The variety of the unique choices is just overwhelming enough where you can still make an extra move on a purchase! The extensive inclusion of local artists and seaglass varieties as well as reusable material had me blown away! Will return.

THE MOST AMAZING PLACE EVER for all unique lawn and home decor. I almost don’t want to review so I can keep this place my own secret but GO SUPPORT THEM! And they’re SO KIND and helpful staff. Wear bug spray to search for treasures outside. They have ducks and koi fish and the most incredible artwork I’ve ever seen. Their driftwood collection is very beautiful as well!

I cannot begin to describe how beautiful and unique this location is. My girlfriend's know I'm a hippie at heart and surprised me with a visit here. They had beautiful crystals, gems, local art, all sorts of neat stuff. But by far the best part is the beautiful landscaping and grounds. The ducks and koi fish are absolutely incredible. Be sure to check out out back when you stop in.

Really cool place! Almost a visual overload, but a cool experience nonetheless. There are so many things to choose from. If you're looking for a prehistoric shark's tooth or some type of jewelry, they have it all here. Definitely stop by if not for just the experience. You won't regret it!

Very eclectic interesting store. It's a store you don't want to miss. All kinds of stuff. Collectible rocks and shells and cool stuff out in the backyard. It's worth going in just to look at everything First time I've seen so many air plants flowering

Probably the coolest store in OBX. They have all kinds of fun gifts and neat local art creations. I can’t even describe this place you have to see it for yourself. I went 3 times on my OBX trip and made a list of things I want for my next trip coming up. What a neat store. Worth a visit!

The Fudgery is a delightful retailer that offers a variety of delectable treats, including housemade fudge, pralines, caramel apples, and other sweet confections. With locations in Corolla, Duck, Nags Head, and Hatteras such as Scotch Bonnet Fudge, this charming shop provides an array of fudge flavors without the need to labor over a hot stove.
Located in the Kitty Hawk Kites Complex across from Jockeys Ridge ( Huge Sand dune) in Nag's Head. We love this fudge shop! We watched them make fudge and pour it to cool on a cold stone table. The fudge is really good and an awesome treat for later or as a souvenir gift.

Best fresh fudge anywhere, ever. Made right in front of you with fresh tastings from the best of flavors. I highly recommend the salted caramel and the peanut butter fudge. Pictured is the salted caramel.

Very delicious fudge. They mean what they say, "it does not melt." Such polite and kind staff.

This is usually my go-to place for fudge but unfortunately this past time everything they sold us was dried up. It seemed very old and not good at all. They need to rotate their stock out. Was not impressed at all

This place was absolutely amazing! I got the blackened mahi and my husband had blackened tuna, both dishes were cooked perfect. Service was top notch and the atmosphere was very laid back and relaxing! I went as a suggestion from a friend at work, and did not disappoint, will revisit anytime I come back to the area (I'm sure we will)!

Was able to get seated quickly and had no issues getting parking. Waitress was nice - no issues there. Food was ok overall - feel like with all the options in area the spots we visited before this one were better. If I was just reviewing on food it would have been a 3 but the service bumped it up a star. Will say of the food options the shrimp was good - would order that again.
Brian W — Google review
Well, the lady that seated us was pissed because we asked for a booth and she had to clean it off. The waitress asked us what we would like to drink my husband got a sweet tea and I ordered a water she came back dropped them off and walked away but my water was a coke . Their prices are high you could eat at red lobster for cheaper or Noosa’s down the road . It is clean but not friendly at all . So we paid for our drinks and left we will not be returning there .

Great ‘beach themed’ Outer Banks (OBX) style restaurant / full bar. Exactly what you’d expect here … we had a fun fun night catching up w friends in this easy going chill and relaxing atmosphere.

Stopped by here last night after it being recommended. Hostess didn't even speak to us, just sat on the stool and pointed to a booth. Took over 10 minutes for anyone to speak to us. Waitress was friendly, but kept going to talk to Hostess at stand to talk with her, and other wait staff. She forgot to ever bring my beer until I reminded her when our food came. Food was good but nothing special. The cocktail the Waitress recommended was good. Definitely won't return.

Not a tourist trap at all, even though it’s on the beach road!! We were so surprised at how incredible everything was. Wife had the salmon - loved it. I had the chicken tenders because I wasn’t feeling the best - delicious! The wings were very good as well. The husband and wife owners keep it under the radar that he’s in the back running the kitchen and she’s out front and you’d think she was “just” the manager. We love supporting the locals and this place is going to become one of our favorites!
Joseph — Google review
The service at this place is so bad that it almost, but not quite, rises to comical. When we came in there were several empty tables. The hostess told us it would be a fifteen to thirty minutes wait. In hindsight that was a red flag. She seated us and two other parties. We sat down and waited. And waited I watched the other tables that were seated with us be brought waters, order drinks, get their drinks, and order food. A table next to us was seated. I went up to the hostess and asked if anyone knew we'd been seated, since we hadn't seen anyone yet and I'd watched the parties seated at the same time as us be attended to several times. She asked where we were. I pointed out my kids, she said she'd talk to someone. A few minutes later a server walked right past us to the table that was seated five minutes ago and greet them. I was about to pack it in when someone stopped by. He asked if anyone had stopped by yet. I told him no. He apologized and told me they had new staff that didn't understand sections. He told us we weren't in his section, but he'd take care of us. He really tried, but he was already over extended. We ordered three entrees and a cup of soup. We watched the parties that had been seated at the same time as us pay their bills and leave. At some point the hostess walked by and asked if someone had some by yet. Then shouted "sorry" over her shoulder. After fifteen minutes the food runners brought the food for the next table to us. We eventually convinced them that what they had brought wasn't what we'd ordered (except for one dish). They took it away and gave it to the folks that had ordered it. Five minutes or so later our server brought our entrees and asked me "did they bring you your soup?" They hadn't. He brought it to go with my oysters. The food was okay. Not bad, not great. Certainly not good enough to mitigate the completely incompetent front of house staff. I was expecting they'd offer us some sort of compensation for the awful service. Comp the soup, free dessert, something. They didn't. I don't know how hard or easy it is to find competent staff in the Outer Banks of NC, but either way this place has abjectly failed to do it.

My husband and I decided to try some place new and stopped here. We both ordered drinks, cesar salad and shrimp scampi. Our drinks arrived quickly as did our "small" salad . We easily could have shared one plate as it was quite a good size and delicious. When our dinners arrived we were surprised at the amount of pasta and at least 12 shrimp. It was very flavorful and had a nice spicy zing to it. The waiter was attentive and the hostess was warm and friendly. A new go to place for us.

Seafood restaurant
Dirty Dick's Crab House in Nags Head is a local chain offering a variety of fried and steamed seafood, BBQ, burgers, and Southern sides in a laid-back setting. The menu features appetizing options like chicken etouffee, shrimp po' boys, oyster po' boys, pork chop po' boys with a touch of Cajun flavor. For those craving New Orleans vibes, there are Louisiana crawfish and shrimp creole over cheese grits.
Always amazing! We visited Dirty Dicks in Panama City recently as well. This place is always amazing, but somehow the food here was even better! I got the shrimp and grits and it was incredible! Great service! The chef (Katie) came by to check and make sure that everything was good. I asked for her name because she did such an amazing job. We've come here several times and this visit they outside themselves! Our server (Sheri) made sure our visit was enjoyable. We came by a second time before we left and got the buffalo shrimp. OMG! These were really great as well. I'm sure this is going to be an amazing season for y'all because you're on fire!

I really enjoyed this place! I have been wanting to come here for years and finally got the chance. It didn't disappoint. The food, service and atmosphere was outstanding. I only have positive things to say. I will definitely return!
Paul V — Google review
The atmosphere was fun and the service was good, but the food was a real disappointment. My husband’s first bite of his she-crab soup had a piece of shell in it, which set the tone for the meal. The house and Caesar salads were adequate, nothing special. I ordered the trio of shrimp, scallops, and lump crab meat. The shrimp and crab were nicely cooked, but the scallops were almost raw. Apparently, that’s just how they serve them, because my husband’s fried scallops and clams were also barely cooked, with a slimy texture. Portions are huge, which would normally be OK, but when you’re traveling, you can’t really take leftovers with you, and it’s a shame to waste that much food. Overall, we wouldn’t eat here again. There are plenty of better choices in the area for a similar price.
Veronique E — Google review
No wait to be seated and the staff was super friendly and quick. Food was good and the hush puppies were super savory (especially with the butter). Price wise for what they had to offer was a bit over my budget for lunch, but they had lots of options seafood wise. I'd love for some local caught seafood, but what we ate, didn't feel freshly caught nor local. Would we come back? I can say, Yes! Our server was super friendly and helped my kids decide what they wanted to eat.
Ricky B — Google review
Delicious food. Unique menu, unique name. Roadsigns drew us in and we were not disappointed. Portions are generous and the waitress was very attentive and friendly.
Scott C — Google review
My husband and I were truly impressed with our dining experience here! Our server was fantastic; extremely polite and attentive, and the steamed seafood platter we enjoyed was super fresh and cooked perfectly. To our surprise, the Caesar and Sangria were some of the most well-prepared cocktails we've had as well. The only thing we were upset by is that we couldn't bring our leftovers (and there were lots!) as we were traveling. This place really lived up to the hype, and is definitely not just a novelty restaurant, as we initially thought it might be.
Jocelynn V — Google review
We were seated right away. Our waiter was amazing, funny and very knowledgeable! Price was a little steep, but it's seafood, so that was expected. The food was good and my mixed drink was amazing 👏. The cup it comes in, is in the picture I posted. If you like fruity, sweet, and strong, you will love it! I can't remember the exact name, but it's Drirty Dick's something... The name is in red on the menu. They also have a nice gift shop. Overall I had a nice experience there.
Samantha T — Google review
This was my first time dining here, and it definitely won’t be the last ! Kristi was our server and she truly made the experience exceptional. She checked in regularly without being overbearing and kept the whole section in great spirits with her positive attitude and attentiveness. Our food arrived quickly, exactly as we ordered it, and everything tasted amazing. Kristi’s fast and accurate service made the meal even more enjoyable. It's clear she takes pride in what she does, and it really made a difference. I’ll definitely be coming back and hoping Kristi is our server again!

Pizzazz Pizza of Nags Head is a family-owned and operated pizza restaurant that has been serving the Outer Banks for nearly thirty years. They offer a no-frills dining experience with delicious pizzas, chicken wings, and subs available for dine-in, takeout, or delivery. With multiple convenient locations across the OBX, including Nags Head, Duck, Corolla, and Grandy, visitors can enjoy their excellent pizza wherever they are vacationing in the area.
My friends and I(a group of 7 people) visited this pizza store on the Memorial Day weekend. The pizza store was empty and the staff were really good. The place was really neat. We ordered Hurricane White pizza and the Veggie Pizza. It was the best pizza we have had in a long time. It was freshly made with great crust, sauce and toppings. We all especially loved the Hurricane White pizza. Highly recommend it. Their garlic sauce on the side was also really great. If you are opting for a vegetarian pizza option in the area, Pizzazz Pizza was a great spot.

We ordered 1 deluxe and 1 meat lovers pizza. Both were the BEST pizza our group of 4 have ever eaten. We hail from 3 states and range in age from 60-68, so have eaten a LOT of pizzas in our lifetimes. Crust was not too thin, not too thick and cooked to crispy perfection. The pizzas were not too greasy and they were loaded on top of just the right amount of very good sauce. There was only one employee working and he was very efficient and polite.
Barbara B — Google review
I am very glad that we found this place and tried it while staying in Nags Head. The two staff members we saw were very nice and helpful. The service was fast and accurate and the pizza was amazing. The crust was perfect, the sauce was not overwhelming and the toppings on the meat lovers pizza were great in size and taste. The salad was fresh and a good portion size. If you are in the area you should definitely give it a try!!

Surprisingly empty at 4 pm. Plenty of large booth seating, easily accommodated our group. They had plenty of pizza by the slice available when we were there but most in our group ordered sandwiches, the wait wasn’t long and they were large and filling.

Awesome place for hungry kids. Pizza buffet and a drink for a good price. Easy to get to as it's on the ocean side of the highway. My sandwich was 6/10 but the pizza was pretty good. I'll take the kids back anytime.

A must order if you’re staying in Nags Head! We always order pizza for our first night of vacation and decided to order from Pizzazz. Delivery was fast and the pizza was great for a hungry group of friends (we ordered 4 large!) Definitely adding to our “regulars” list now. Thank you!

Eating at a Pizzazz Pizza for our first night in OBX has been a tradition now for the past 4 years. This time we placed an order online on our way to the rental and it was ready on time, fresh and hot. Guy inside was super nice and friendly. $100 got my family of four 2 medium 1 topping pizzas, 1 large Deluxe pizza, 10 chicken tenders and a Greek salad. Two teenage boys eat a lot. Still had leftovers.
