MAY 31, 2025 UPDATED: Review for Pizza Hut – Osoyoos, BC
I wanted to provide an update to my previous review, as I believe it’s just as important to acknowledge when a business makes things right.
After my initial negative experience, Pizza Hut management reached out directly to address my concerns and gather further feedback. I really appreciated that they took the time to listen and take the situation seriously.
I returned just last week and was pleased to see a noticeable improvement in service. In fact, the staff member I had the issue with previously made a point of coming over to personally apologize for their earlier behavior. It felt sincere, and I give them credit for that—it’s not always easy to own up to a mistake, especially in a customer-facing role.
It’s clear that management followed through on their commitment to improve, and I’m happy to say I’ll be returning. Thanks again to the team for making the effort to turn things around!
ORIGINAL POST APRIL 29, 2025: My experience at this Pizza Hut was frustrating enough that I feel compelled to share. While the food itself was fine, the way I was treated as a customer was absolutely unacceptable and left a bad taste in my mouth.
When I went to pick up my online order and paid with my credit card, I noticed the total had been rounded up by a penny. Now, I know it’s only a cent—but rounding is only supposed to apply to cash transactions, and it’s the principle that matters. When I politely questioned the discrepancy and asked for the total to match what I was quoted online, I was met with attitude and irritation from the staff. Instead of resolving the issue respectfully, the staff member acted like I was being difficult for simply pointing out a legitimate concern.
What really pushed me over the edge, though, was what happened next. As I was leaving, the staff member openly mocked me to fellow staff members. That kind of disrespect is beyond unprofessional—it's insulting. I was a paying customer who brought up a valid issue, and instead of being listened to, I was ridiculed.
Honestly, I don’t care how small the amount was—it’s about being treated with basic courtesy and respect. If this type of behavior happened to me, you can bet it has happened to others.
I will absolutely not be returning to this location, and I would caution others to think twice before supporting a business that treats customers like an inconvenience.
If you do choose to order from this location, make sure to double-check your receipt—especially if you're paying by card.
