The only saving grace for this hotel is the very nice manager Andrei and the rooftop pool.
We arrived quite late at night to check in and were met with two different guests complaining about finding cockroaches in their room, which wasn’t a great thing to hear when checking into your room. The receptionist on duty was very rude to the guests, saying things like “what do you want me to do about it?”
When we got up to our room, we found stained towels, walls stained with what looked like foot marks, a shower that looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a while, and just overall dust and dirt in many places. My partner decided to call booking.com to complain and see if we could get moved to another room, booking.com then preceded to call the receptionist, and he claimed that they do an extensive clean, before every new guest (I don’t know about that…). Booking.com then told us we had to go talk to the receptionist downstairs, at this point it was 2am, but my partner went down to speak with the receptionist and was met with the phrase “what, you want some towels?” with pure sarcasm. My partner, calmly told him about the situation and was not given a singular solution, just told to go back to his room.
The next day, there was a different staff member, Andrei, who was very kind to us, so we decided to bring up the situation, turns out Andrei is the manager and was very apologetic for everything that had happened. He decided to give us free breakfast for the inconvenience.
The next morning we went to a buffet style breakfast that usually costs €12 per person, and it was a very average continental breakfast, not much warm food. And to top it all off, the muffin my boyfriend picked up had mold on it 😭😭, and it was prepackaged, which means it must have been there for a LONG time, or kept in very poor temperatures to grow mold.
The pool on the roof is nice and the location is great, but overall we were very disappointed with our trip.
