Babusar Top is one of the most stunning high-altitude mountain passes in Pakistan, located at 4,173 meters above sea level. It connects the Kaghan Valley with Chilas and Gilgit-Baltistan. The pass offers breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, green meadows, and winding roads that make the journey unforgettable. The drive to Babusar Top is scenic and thrilling, especially during the summer months when the road is open. It's a favorite stop for tourists heading to northern areas, offering panoramic photo spots and a refreshing break from the lower valleys. However, the road can be dangerous in bad weather, so it's best to travel in daylight with a reliable vehicle. Babusar Top is ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers. It's peaceful, refreshing, and filled with natural beauty. A must-visit for anyone exploring northern Pakistan.
The place is wonderful with breathtaking views and majestic mountains. It could be maintained as an awesome tourist spot with proper amenities, but unfortunately, that is not the case. There are too many swings and zip lines installed in all directions, reducing the beauty of the place. Although the zip line on such height in itself is a thrilling experience for those who dare. The views are awesome, and they have a unique charisma to it.
My journey through Babusar Pass in Kaghan Valley was an unforgettable adventure that showcased Pakistan’s stunning natural beauty. This high-altitude pass, connecting Kaghan Valley to Chilas, offered breathtaking views of snow-dusted peaks, lush meadows, and winding streams. The drive was exhilarating, with well-maintained roads making the ascent smooth, though the sharp curves added a thrilling edge. Reaching the top at over 13,000 feet, I was mesmerized by the panoramic vistas—rolling green hills on one side and rugged mountains on the other. The crisp, cool air was invigorating, perfect for a brief stop to soak in the scenery. I visited in early summer, and the weather was ideal, with clear skies enhancing the visibility of distant peaks. The pass was relatively uncrowded, allowing me to enjoy the tranquility and capture stunning photographs. Local vendors near the top offered hot tea and corn on the cob, which were delightful after the chilly drive. The area was clean, with minimal litter, reflecting responsible tourism. However, the lack of proper restrooms and limited signage along the route were minor inconveniences. Additionally, the high altitude required careful pacing to avoid discomfort. Despite these, Babusar Pass is a must-visit for adventure seekers and nature lovers. Its awe-inspiring landscapes and serene ambiance left a lasting impression. I highly recommend visiting during clear weather and preparing for the altitude to fully enjoy this spectacular destination
