Horton Plains National Park is one of the main national parks located in the Central Highlands of Sri Lanka. The natural scenery is breathtaking, with misty mountains, grasslands, and forests. Tickets are available for both local and foreign visitors. There are no camping areas, as this is a sensitive natural environment, so visitors are encouraged to respect and protect its beauty. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I recently visited Horton Plains National Park, and it was truly a therapeutic experience. Surrounded by misty hills, fresh mountain air, and breathtaking scenery, the whole place felt calm and healing. The hike through the plains was both relaxing and refreshing — a perfect escape from the usual busy routine. The view from World’s End was absolutely stunning, and walking along the trail felt like being one with nature. The sound of the wind, the rustling trees, and the quietness of the surroundings made it an ideal spot to unwind and clear my mind.
🌿 Horton Plains National Park – A Truly Mesmerizing Experience! 🌄 Visiting Horton Plains was absolutely breathtaking — the views were simply stunning, especially at World’s End! The trails are peaceful and surrounded by incredible natural beauty. The refreshing breeze, lush greenery, and cascading waterfalls make it a must-visit for any nature lover. Truly one of Sri Lanka’s most magical destinations! 💚✨
Truly an amazing place to explore wildlife and nature! The hike to Mini World’s End, World’s End, and Baker’s Falls took around 4 hours in total, and every part of the journey was worth it. The views were breathtaking and the atmosphere so peaceful. Keep in mind that plastic bottles and non degradable packages are not allowed inside the park, which is great for protecting the environment. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience!
Horton Plains is a must-visit! Beautiful trails, peaceful atmosphere, and the views at World’s End are unforgettable. Great spot for hiking and photography. Highly recommend going early in the morning to catch the mist and sunrise
“An unforgettable experience! Horton Plains is one of the most beautiful and well-preserved nature reserves in Sri Lanka. From the moment you enter, you're surrounded by cool mountain air, peaceful silence, and stunning scenery. The 9.5 km circular trail is perfect for nature lovers and offers a mix of grasslands, cloud forests, and waterfalls. The highlight, of course, is World’s End — a dramatic cliff with panoramic views that will take your breath away. On clear mornings, you can see all the way to the south coast. Baker’s Falls is another gem along the trail, with refreshing mist and a picture-perfect view. You’ll likely spot wildlife too — like sambar deer, birds, and unique plants found nowhere else. The path is well-marked and not too difficult, but wear good shoes and bring water. It’s also important to go early to avoid the crowds and get the clearest views. Truly a magical place that combines adventure, peace, and natural beauty in one journey. Highly recommended for hikers, photographers, and anyone wanting to connect with nature!” 🌿🏞️📸

Lake Gregory is a beautiful and lively place to visit with your loved ones. It can get very busy, so make sure to buy your entry ticket in advance. Activities like boat rides and horse/pony rides are available, though prices are on the higher side. Parking is available, but a ticket is required. Nearby shops sell toys, scarves, jackets, and ice caps, but they are also quite expensive. The lake area is very scenic and perfect for photos, with many hotels located close by.
One of the most beautiful lakes that I have seen. We enjoyed noating here. The water is blue and the surrounding have a colonial charm. The adjoining garden is meticulously maintained. The place have plenty of boating options. After all the fun you may stop at lakeside shops for tea and snacks. The sunset was so beautiful.
Lake Gregory in Nuwara Eliya is a must-visit! The serene surroundings and stunning views of the surrounding hills make it so peaceful. A boat ride on the lake is perfect for unwinding and taking in the scenery. The area's got a charming, laid-back vibe, and the nearby cafes serve great tea and snacks. If you're looking for a relaxing day out, Lake Gregory's got you covered. Just watch out for the mist - it can roll in quickly! 😊👌 Great spot for nature lovers and those seeking a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle.
We had an amazing time at Lake Gregory. The Place was so peaceful with stunning views of the lake surrounded by misty mountains. The boat rides, jet ski and bicycle ride experience were thrilling and gave us a different way to enjoy the lake. The cool climate made the whole visit refreshing, and it’s a perfect spot to relax and breathe in nature. There are plenty of nice photo spots around the lake ideal for capturing memories with friends and family. Highly recommend this place if you love nature, adventure, and beautiful scenery. A must-visit when you’re in Nuwara Eliya.
Lake Gregory is one of the most beautiful and refreshing places to visit in Nuwara Eliya. The cool climate, misty surroundings, and stunning views of the water create the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and sightseeing. The area is clean, well maintained, and ideal for both families and couples. There’s plenty to do as well—boat rides, pony rides, and even the option to rent a bicycle and cycle around the lake. The walking paths and open spaces make it perfect for a peaceful stroll or a picnic by the water. With food stalls and seating areas nearby, it’s a place where you can easily spend a few hours just unwinding. Lake Gregory is truly a highlight of the hill country and an experience I highly recommend
Gregory Lake is a beautiful place in Nuwara Eliya, but it also has a not-so-good side. The small shops nearby sell food at very high prices, and most of them aren’t very hygienic, so it’s better to avoid eating there. Also, visiting during the peak season isn’t recommended because the traffic gets really heavy, and even the boat rides are quite expensive.
Good place for spent quality time with your family. Also you can enjoy boat ride in the lake.
The beauty of Nuwara Eliya is attributed to Gregory Lake which is located at the heart of the city. Its pristine and clean water convinces you for a walk by the lake or a boat ride to appreciate its beauty. Do take a walk in the morning, beware of dogs, though. The garden alongside the lake is closed in the morning as it has an entry fee, may be they should keep it open in the morning too.

Nethmini gave me a clear introduction of the tea made, every step! She also brought me to get a taste of tea picking and taking some photos for me. I really happy to having time with this sweet lady. Beyond the guide but like friends.
A nicely designed restaurant mainly focusing the foreign guests. The main focus is to sell tea and provide refreshments to visitors to tea factory and who take on the safari to Ramboda falls. Limited food/snacks options, mostly sweet and unhealthy snacks. The tea is fine but most of the beverages specially the coffee are overpriced. Friendly service. Ample parking. Great views and fresh air. The toilets are moderately clean. Overall a good place to take a break specially as an alternative to the Damro Labukelle Restaurant when it is overcrowded on peak days.
A fantastic stop! They offer explanations about the tea-making process, showcasing how traditional methods and machinery are used. You can even witness real-time tea leaf picking. Their store has a great selection of high-quality organic teas and powders...
This place was an amazing experience, we did the factory tour; as we did the tea plucking elsewhere. But we found out this place offers both. The tour was very informative, while being very visual as well. Once the tour was done, we went to the cafe to try their tea. Some of the best tea I have had, their food wasn’t anything amazing but it was still nice. The view is great with their tea fields everywhere. If you are near this area, I highly recommend trying this place, especially if you are interested in learning how tea is made
A quick trip with a lovely guide. The tea picking experience was a bit of a tourist thing and the 'free' tour of the factory was very good but ... the tea is ridiculously expensive. They can easily give free tours when they are charging £17 for 20g of tea! I nearly fainted when they gave me the bill!
Beautiful place. They let you to collect some leaves and take some pictures. Visit is free but here our prices: Tuktuk 6000rs go, retour and stay waiting. 500rs tip. Free visiting 1000rs tip for visiting. Photo tip 1500rs. Milk Tea dégustation 300rs. (Simple black tea is free). Box of tea 100g, 1200rs.
Wonderful experience at Blue Field Tea! The tea was delicious and authentic, and the beautiful surroundings made it even more enjoyable. Thank you for the warm hospitality and excellent service.”
Very nice place to be honest but the service is the WORST they prefer tourists more than the local people, they don't have slightest care about us but they personally direct tourists to a sitting place I really hope a manager or anyone higher see this and change it. For the note me and my mom ordered honey & lemon and ginger tea both tastes the same.

Victoria Park is a very nice place to visit, especially in the evening with family, friends, and children. It’s a relaxing spot — cool and peaceful in the morning and evening, though a bit sunny during the day 🌞. The ticket price is 120 LKR for local adults and 60 LKR for children. You can stay here until 6:30 PM.
You can easily find this place. Multiple entrance there. Tickets price 120 for per person. The wind was high. But still you can enjoy the nature. But this place can be improved more to attract more people. There are sign mentioned not to pluck flowers from the garden. Not much bug park. Children can enjoy. You can park vehicles from the outside the garden. There is a restaurant available. Security guards there.can spend some time there. Also photography service available on extra charge.
Botanical garden in Nuwara Eliya with hundreds of species of plants on display. It also has a jade garden built by a Japanese ambassador during the British raj. There is an entry fee for foreign tourists. Plenty of sections like rose garden, tulip gardens etc. and great options for Insta enthusiasts to take pictures.
I visited Victoria Park in Nuwara Eliya recently. It’s a beautiful place with lots of greenery and a peaceful atmosphere, but unfortunately the children’s park is not well maintained. Some of the play areas need proper care and improvement. With better maintenance, it could be a wonderful spot for families to enjoy.
Most amazing park I've ever been to. It's a must visit in Nuwara Eliya. Saw many types of plants and birds and took many beautiful pictures there. The fee for adults is only 1000 LKR which is good in my opinion.

Ornate temple known as the place where Sita was held prisoner in the Hindu epic "Ramayana."

When I got to know that a drive for 10 mins will reach me to the place where Hanuman ji landed in order to reach to Sita Maiya for her protection, I knew I had to go. This is the temple with his footsteps. We had to pay 100/- LKR each for entry and photography wasn't allowed but I took permission and took a few. It was surreal! Being in Sri Lanka and having so much in common about our mythology and history is simply stunning. Even though this is referred to as the land of Lanka, for Ravana, I felt very connected and happy. We gave our ticket for aarti and received blessings align with some kumkum that I took back home. I'm truly grateful to have checked of this visit was possible and feel honoured to have been there physically.
Seetha Amman Temple in Nuwara Eliya is a truly special and serene place, rich with history and devotion. The temple is beautifully set amidst lush hills and is renowned for its unique connection to the Ramayana, believed to be where Princess Sita was held captive by Ravana. The peaceful surroundings, flowing stream, and lovely architecture create an inspiring spiritual atmosphere. Visiting here is both culturally and spiritually uplifting—an absolute must for anyone exploring Sri Lanka’s sacred sites
Since childhood hearing stories of Ramayana, it's always intriguing to visit this place where Sita was. Held captive by ravana and it has been constructed into a beautiful Sita temple. It has a ₹,100 entry and beautiful idols with the priest explaining and blessing. The visitors also makes it a very, very divine experience. We were able to see the whole temple. And also visit the footprint beside the flowing river stream, where Hanuman GIS expected to have helped Sita to escape. There is a beautiful meditation hall for people visiting this shrine. A very different experience to at least see a part of history that has lived with you. Till this day. Witnessed with everything being told to you very systematically
Seetha Amman Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit, and it’s just walking distance from Bloomingdale Bungalows. The temple’s colorful architecture and serene atmosphere make it a meaningful stop, especially for those familiar with the Ramayana. Staying at Bloomingdale Bungalows makes the experience even better, the bungalows are cozy, comfortable, and surrounded by lush greenery. Many Indian travelers have enjoyed their stay here, and the location is perfect for exploring the temple and other nearby attractions. Highly recommended for Indian tourists looking for a mix of spiritual sightseeing and a relaxing stay in Nuwara Eliya.
Seetha Amman Kovil in Nuwara Eliya is a must-visit temple filled with peace and history. It’s believed to be the place where Princess Seetha from the Ramayana was held captive by King Ravana. You can still see the stream where she is said to have bathed and some rock marks believed to be Hanuman’s footprints. The temple has beautiful South Indian architecture and a calm spiritual vibe. For locals, entry is free, but foreigners may have to get a ticket or pay for special pooja services. It’s about 5 km from Nuwara Eliya town near Hakgala Gardens. The place gets crowded during holidays, so early morning visits are best.
Just a few kilometers from Nuwara Eliya town, the temple is surrounded by lush forests and hills, creating a peaceful and spiritual atmosphere. this is a unique and sacred Hindu temple believed to be linked to the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. It is said to be the place where Seetha Devi, wife of Lord Rama, was held captive by King Ravana of Lanka. No tickets for locals
Such a calm and beautiful temple with a rich history connected to the Ramayana. The surroundings are stunning, and the sound of the nearby stream makes it even more peaceful. The place is well maintained and perfect for anyone who loves culture, history, and nature.
Sita Eliya is a nice place and has a good connection with the Ramayana very different experience , but it really needs to be kept cleaner and made more attractive for visitors.

Pedro Tea Estate & Factory is a must-visit in Nuwara Eliya, offering a guided tour that explains the full tea-making process from leaf to cup. The surrounding tea fields are beautiful and perfect for photos. Visitors can enjoy fresh Ceylon tea at the café and purchase high-quality tea to take home. The cool climate and peaceful setting make it a wonderful experience for both learning and relaxing.
Read the views so decided not to do the tour but headed up there to enjoy the views and look around outside the factory. There is a tea room there with spectacular views over the tea plants. We had two cups of tea which cost a mere 200 rupees, and ate our picnic. We really enjoyed the tea and views.
Go early to see the factory working. The tea processing happens overnight so arrive at the visitors centre at 8am when it opens for a tour. No photos are allowed inside unfortunately. Don’t do the plucking tour. You get given a back bag and taught what to pick then given 20 minutes to collect tea.
Beautiful experience without a ton of tourist. The factory tour took about 20mins and showed the whole process. The lady doing the tour explained everything clearly and answered all our questions. We also did the tea picking experience where she showed us which leaves to pick and then let us to enjoy the views and take pictures. After all the tourist traps we were directed to, this was a really great experience.
Had an amazing experience at Pedro Tea Factory! The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the tour was very informative. learned a lot about the tea-making process, and the staff was welcoming and knowledgeable. Definitely a must-visit spot in Nuwara Eliya!
Extremely Disappointed – Not Worth the Money! Pedro Tea Factory is an absolute rip-off! They charge 1000 rupees just for a basic factory visit – no complimentary tea, no plantation walk, nothing extra. That price is outrageous considering other tea factories in the area offer much better service and a more immersive experience for half the price or even free. On top of that, the staff were shockingly rude and unwelcoming. They clearly don’t care about tourists or customer service. It felt like we were an inconvenience to them. There are plenty of other tea factories in Nuwara Eliya that are far more worth your time and money. Don’t waste either of those at Pedro. Highly disappointing.
Honestly, I don’t know why the reviews of this place are as good as they are. The landscape is beautiful and we liked that we could walk through the tea plantation, but the staff was not very friendly and didn’t really seem to care that we were there. If you want a factory tour or to do some tea picking it will cost you 1000 rupees each activity. We did the picking because we had done a factory tour of Labookellie yesterday (great tour, great staff, and a FREE tour). We got about 2 mins of instruction and then we just picked a couple leafs for a photo. Not worth it. If you want to tour a factory, just go to Labookellie. If you really want to go into a tea plantation, come here and just go for a walk - don’t pay for the picking.
Very poor customer service by an employee called Kaushi. We arrived first for the tea tour and were told to wait by an employee named Kaushi. After waiting over 40 minutes with no update, we saw her start the tour with another family who arrived much later. When I approached her, she simply said, “Sorry, I forgot about you.” Then we had to wait until she completes tour for others, as she forgot about us. While we were seater in the waiting area, which Kaushi showed us. We were first one to arrive and in total waiting time was more than 1 h! Very unprofessional and upsetting experience. Hope they improve their training and customer care. The tour itself was short, not worth it.
I'll never travel to Nuwara Eliya without this trip planner again
