We got lucky and arrived at a quiet time in the afternoon, and ended up bringing the kids on the luge. The staff here were really friendly and paid close attention to safety when operating the luge equipment. Our kids were a bit short to go on their own, so we did the tandem rides for them which ended up costing $45 NZD for 3 turns. Even though the actual run was fairly short, the kids really loved it and I think it was worth the experience for them. Mini golf looked pretty fun too and was the most crowded attraction when we were there, but the kids were pretty tired by then and wanted to head back home. Great communication about booking and our skipper was brilliant, lots of local info and made sure both sides of the boat got to be close to the action of the bird colony, Seals and natural beauty of the islands. 1 hour out at sea was the perfect amount and nice to have the roof so you’re open to the sea breeze but no sun burn!
