First impression was not great- we were a walk in party of 2 without a reservation but it was only 5 pm and we saw plenty of open seating so we thought we’d give it a try. The host, however, took his time finishing up whatever business he was attending to on his personal cell phone AT the host stand without so much as looking up to greet us, and I stood there for several seconds waiting for him to finish. Kids menu was a plus! And drink refills on his kids cup was appreciated but the lack of response to me expressing appreciation after ordering was odd. The alcoholic drink I ordered when we first sat down was forgotten. Food came quickly however prime rib did not taste as if it was "minimum wet aged" for 21 days as advertised. Additionally when my grandmother mentioned the drink that was forgotten Abby was surprisingly slow to throw the bartender under the bus by saying "she's been really busy all night". Mind you I was not looking for an excuse as a response and secondly the lack of accountability did it for me. This was also a special occasion as a birthday dinner in which Abby did offer the "birthday dessert" but it just appeared as her demeanor was entirely disingenuous. We kindly refused the dessert, asked the bar tender for her name on the way out and hopefully in posting this review she will decide to acknowledge mistakes that's are made next time instead of blaming the bar tender that had two people sitting at the bar. Leaving discouraged at this choice for a dinner as it was not cheap $126 plus a $26 tip still after it all. Not worth it. Do better Abby.

Then we also tried the green chili pizza 🍕 and when I tell you its a must try, and you will love that spicy hot honey that gets drizzled on the pizza. Just a mouth full of fun flavors. I can't wait to go back. The menu selection is a hit. Durango is a small town and Home Slice has 3 locations so you know it's good.

We are from Texas, so we know good BBQ. I could smell it from a mile a way, and knew we had to check out Buckhead West BBQ. I got the brisket plate and my fiance got the pulled pork plate. The meat melts in your mouth, the flavors were wonderful and the sides were on par. I love how they give you two different kinds of sauce on the side too. Bill and Tracey were so friendly and have a sincere interest in delivering only the best food. I highly recommend you stop in. You won't regret it. Best BBQ in Durango!
