The staff and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. This trip was only my husband and I but would love to come back with the grandkids as the hiking trails are very easy and the park area has miniature golf and several play grounds. Restrooms are very clean. You can ride your bike on the paved roads all around the park but there are no areas except on the hiking trails destinated just for bikes. The boardwalk area shown in several pictures is no longer here. It was severally damaged in one of the recent hurricanes. That was our only disappointment. If you like fishing or kayaking this seems to be the place people enjoy for both. Note to be sure if you need a camping site with sewer to carefully choose your site as half the sites do not have sewer hookups. Sites are very spacious if you have a larger RV.

First off our server was sweet and she was training someone so I understand mistakes can happen, especially if you’re letting your trainee put orders in. We got a Tito’s and ultra draft and I watched your bartender ignore the well. Even the hostess asked if our drink order was in. Gator bites were so over cooked, I literally spit it out. My shrimp and boyfriend shrimp order was switched around. I asked for blackened shrimp Alfredo and he got the platter for one. My whole meal was a disappointment but what really set it off was the lady that came in for a salad bar yelling to the bartender across the room having a whole conversation. Just ruined whatever dinning experience we had left. I’m not sure what happened because I was bragging to my boyfriend about how good it used to be and it was just all around a disappointment. And the craziest thing about it is it was 5:30 ish maybe and no one was really in the restaurant the food/service should have been on point. I hate leaving bad reviews because I’m in the industry myself and I get everyone has bad days but yall what happened?

The price was kind of high. We ordered more drinks and the bartender did clear our plates. We enjoyed the music. We went inside to the outdoor covered area for karaoke. I want to mention that the pavers on the ground are extremely uneven and dangerous to walk on. I couldn't even sit in a chair because the chair is not on the ground evenly and you could actually fall out of your chair because the pavers are so bad.....Considering the lighting was low. The greens and bunkers are in horrible shape, they have some type of fungus on the greens and you end up putting in mud. The bunkers have weeds growing in them and the sand is super hard and compacted. The course had definitely seen better days, $60 plus $10 for range balls this course is definitely not worth it. Fix your greens and you have a great course!

Walked the course for $16 on a Wednesday just a little after 4. Great pace of play until I got a little backed up on the last 4-5 holes. The layout of the course is cool. Great views on a few of the holes on the front. Shorter front 9 and longer back 9. While I was there I saw a deer, a snake, a rabbit, turtles and ducks, and an osprey that caught a huge catfish and dropped it near me. Fairways and tee boxes are great and the bunkers looked good although I did not hit out of them. There are water stations on the course in 2-3 locations to stay hydrated. That's all the good. The front 9 greens are not good and the back 9 are better but still not great. Fungus growing on the green, lots of dead spots, some are really fast and others are kinda slow. Just inconsistent. I don't want to crap on the course because I want to see it succeed. I really hope they can fix the problems on the greens. If they do, this course can be amazing!

To start, their website is awful. It's hard to even figure out if you are on the right website. The trip descriptions are so vague, that you can't tell what you are actually getting with the trip that you book. My family and I did the Easter Train. With the little information on the website, we believed that our train journey would last 2 hours and go into the downtown area of St. Mary's. On our non-scenic route next to Wendy's, McDonald's, and several car dealerships, the staff made an announcement to get cameras ready because we were about to cross a picturesque bridge. Finally, we thought we were about to get to the pretty part. We then came to a complete stop for 5 minutes in between the chemical tankers and reversed, heading back to the station. The staff, who were really doing their best, started scrambling to entertain with silly games to distract from the fact that we were just denied what we were all expecting. We made it back to the station within 1 hour of departure... (on our 2 hour adventure) The egg hunt was literally a 50' x 50' patch of grass with plastic eggs just dumped on the ground. Very unimpressive... We expressed our disappointment, and were offered the "possibility" of another complimentary ride. We left our information with the promise of a call the following week. It never happened. Again, I have to say that the crew on the train were very friendly and doing their very best to ensure a good time for the kids. Beyond that, it was a total disappointment and not worth the money. There is potential, but they need to work on their operations in a major way.

This lady told me that my service dog could not board the ferry without a ticket 🫤I left the group to go see what was going on upstairs and asked the young lady at ticket counter #1 for a ticket. I gave her my name as a paid ticket holder and showed her my ticket She looked at me oddly and refused to offer the so called “mandatory” ticket. My service dog wears a tag which I showed her and even offered my paperwork from my physician although this is completely unacceptable. Afraid of being left by the boat and away from my friends I panicked … (part of my unfortunate side effects). Another lady hesitated but handed me a ticket for my service dog. Finally on the boat, I was then called out in front of the fully booked and full ferry of people. Once again, I was asked to exit the boat. They sent me to an administrative office down a block for what? They couldn’t say. I arrived and was told by an employee that I needed to show her my dog leash. Since I hold my service dog…I had left it in my bag on the boat. She hesitated but followed me to the boat landing. I had to shout (totally embarrassing for me) to my friend to hold up the leash… all we’re watching as I ran down the platform the boat was already 10 ft from the dock … after a lot of confusion with the ferry employees pulling the boat back in and having to put the plank back down so I could board … we were so very blessed with a beautiful day and wonderful memories were made.❤️ TOBY THE LAND AND LEGACY tour guide- THANK YOU Sir, You have made a positive impact for people with life altering disabilities and I thank you!!! Its literally like two parks in one location. Visit the ruin side and tour the grounds of an historic mansion where wild horses and turkeys run free. Ferry runs twice in the morning and twice in the afternoon. There is separate charge for taking the ferry to and from the island. There are no concessions on the island once you are there, so you must bring your own drinks and food to the island. The park rangers have placed water coolers around the ruins but there are no cups, so bring a thermos or cup with you. There are bathrooms and cooling rooms should you need them. There is active wildlife in the area and you should not approach the animals.
