The venue itself is a real gem, perched over the water, with mooring spots right there if you want to attend by boat. The Theatre is an excellent size to host meaningful performances. There are no bad seats! And while the stage initially seems quite small, it is amazing how a good sized troupe, such as that involved in Mary Poppins managed to sing and dance all over the place without any apparent compromise! Performers generally are "miked", so it is a little hard to tell about the acoustic qualities of the hall. Generally however, there were no problems with hearing dialogue. If the TIP regularly provides quality entertainment as I witnessed in Mary Poppins, I would gladly attend other performances there. The only downside to this venue is that there is no parking except for Wheelchair accessible spots. So you have to arrive early enough to drive all around looking for a legal spot to leave the car. There is no parking except for patrons, we were there nearly 2 hours early, and we still got the last spot at the end of one if the side streets. Overall it was a great experience and I'm looking forward to seeing 9 to 5 in a, few weeks.

With so many boat tour choices this one was really good! The tour is 1.5 hours to the island 2 hours at boldt castle and another 1.5 hours back. You are not on the boat for the full 5 hours! The boat is 3 story's the bottom floor is noisy from the motor but has a great front area to take pics but your feet do get wet up there. The lower level has a bathroom and a bar/ concession stand with popcorn, candy, and light snacks. The middle floor has more bench style seating and a very nice area at the front for standing and getting a great view but claim it fast because everyone wants this area. There is also a small bench seat in the front area as well. The top tier has lots of bench seating and the captains area is neat The captain let's people inside his area on the way back to get good pics and steer the boat. I recommend the 3-8pm tour because you get great views of the sunset it's very romantic with the islands and sun set and music playing in the back ground. There is a TV and narrated show that gives fun facts in English and French through out the tour. The boat ride is definitely cool so bring a sweat shirt. The castle itself is pretty cool there is a gift shop on the 3rd floor! Also there are several other out buildings to check out while their too!

I was in town over the long weekend, and stopped into Lighthouse Provisions multiple times. They have an excellent selection of ready to go foods, which are perfect for picnics, bringing to dinner party’s, taking on the boat, or just travelling without access to a kitchen! From the fridge we had the potato salad, mango salad, roasted corn dip, and layered hummus and baba ghanoush dip, and everything was amazing!! They have sandwiches during lunch, and a licensed patio area if you need a quick bite and a chill place to sit. They also have lots of gluten free options, which is something I’m always in search of. I can’t speak highly enough, it’s a great addition to Gan’s downtown strip.
