We have been coming to Fantasy Island since 2008 and for me personally since the late 90s. It has become a family tradition and a place that holds so many great memories for us every year. The entertainment venues are brilliant, the atmosphere is always lively, and the whole place just has that great seaside holiday vibe. The market next door adds to the charm and tradition. You can easily spend a few hours wandering around between rides and there is always something going on, especially around the major holidays and events. Fantasy Island might not have the huge price tag of the big name theme parks, but it has just as much heart if not more. For us it is a mix of nostalgia, fun and great memories that keeps us coming back year after year and long may that continue.

We’re big fans of zoos and aquariums, and we thought this would be a great sensory experience for our newborn, which it was. He was fascinated by the movement and colours of the fish, and the tanks were well lit and easy for him to see. That said, I had my reservations when we arrived. The seals are absolutely adorable, and the sanctuary plays such an important role — rescuing, caring for, and rehabilitating these beautiful, intelligent animals. The small tables at each side of the two seats in the row are a health and safety hazard as people were using them as a step down and getting told off by the ushers. (My opinion are a waste of space) However you do get extra wide seat and space between the next sitting audience. Also a row behind 'super seats' are much cheaper and just as good. There is a dance floor which is good and gets people dancing. Very cool atmosphere air con just right. All in all I would recommend the theatre to see a good show well worth it.

The space was fairly quiet which suited our neurodivergent youngster perfectly. Lots for her to bounce on. The other kids friendly. We visited Skegness Pier on May 31, 2025, and it was a five-star experience from start to finish. My kids absolutely loved it and went on almost every ride they could. The pier itself is lovely — the views are stunning and definitely one of the highlights of Skegness. We found it pretty good value, with a wristband only costing £25 per person which allows unlimited rides all day. There is a good selection of rides to keep most people happy. I will say though that once we got inside, both of my children enjoyed themselves. The entry price was excellent value for money (£5.25 per child), considering you could go in and out as often as you liked throughout the opening hours. We however only enjoyed an hour there as wanted to spend most of our time that day across the road doing other activities. The whole place could do with a very thorough deep clean. The balls in all of the ball pits looked like they haven't been cleaned in quite some time and on the metal platform where the 2 red slides go into a ball pit, there was quite a thick layer of dust which you could tell had also been there for quite some time. Unfortunately there wasn't a staff member available to speak to about the cleanliness issues we found and we didn't have the time to wait as we had other activities planned. We would visit here again if in the Skegness/Ingoldmells area but I do hope it will have had a thorough deep clean by then.

I visited the boating Lake today with my wife and my two kids and it's not the first time we've visited, in fact, I've been here many times over the years. The pedalo we hired had an issue, you could steer left and the pedalo would go right but if you steered right the pedalo would still go right, there was definitely something wrong. We raised the issue with the guy there but he assured us, it was me that was the issue and I needed to cycle faster. I am a frequent cyclist so I was pretty sure I wasn't causing the issue but we gave it another go, I pedalled hard, hard enough that the water was coming into the pedalo and we still continued to go in a single direction. It's not the first time I've used a pedalo but I doubted myself none the less. However, now I've seen another review commenting on a fault with the pedalo it's reassured me that I'm not an idiot. The guys there were very dismissive and made us feel like we were in the wrong. After two attempts they did offer to allow us to use another pedalo but by this point my kids were upset, my wife was arguing with me because I'd got her wet and we just didn't want to carry on so we asked if the kids could go on the mini boat instead... unfortunately that was a disaster and the kids didn't want to go on it as my son is only 3 and felt scared so we had to get them in. Fortunately we aren't hard up and £16 loss isn't the end of the world but still, we didn't really get anything other than cold and wet for our money. Frustrating because admiting fault with the pedalo and just giving us a partial refund would have been an easy solution and what I would have done had it been my business. We were out there for maybe 10 minutes at the most. I assume the company confused the other reviewer with myself because the reply they have left makes more sense to my situation but still, its very funny that we were told there's nothing wrong with the pedalo only to see another reviewer being in our situation. I don't leave one star reviews because frankly that would be the worst service you could ever experience. However, these guys don't deserve anywhere near 5 stars since they clearly only care about money and not customer satisfaction or compromise. I chose 2 stars "disliked it" as I couldn't go with 3 which is "ok" because nothing about the experience was "ok" effectively, I chucked £16 down the pan. I hope others don't have a similar experience and enjoy the Skegness Boating Lake and I hope the guys that work there read my review, reflect on it and think about other ways to work with their customers rather than just being completely lead my money. I'll be back next year and we'll try again and if things improve I'll leave another review for them. Thanks

It smelt like urine, the floors were dirty and hadn't been cleaned in hours, and there was a dirty nappy left the in the family changing room. The smell of chlorine in the pool was very strong too. Had the kids not been so excited to go swimming, I would have walked out. The pool itself was very busy (to be expected in summer season) so was a free for all to find a locker, and long queues to get a changing room after swimming. I now understand why so many people who were staying at the resort were walking back to their accommodation in their towels. It was a really stressful experience.

The staff here are diabolical, rude and arrogant. We arrived at 9.30pm after seeing it was open till 10.30pm on the website. At 9.45pm we were told to leave as they were closed which was annoying as a staff member watched us get money out of an atm and laughed at us and told us it was closed and to leave.
