I can only assume she was being spiteful because I wasn’t happy with the mix up in appointment, regardless of feelings the welfare of the dog should be at heart and don’t truly believe it is with all staff here, some staff care for the animals but others you can tell it’s a mundane 9-5 for them. Moving on to a more recent experience, my dog had a problem with her eye being gunky so naturally I took her in to be seen, they fit me in quickly and she was examined and treatment given (£97) that treatment made her eye progressively worse and I fully understand mistakes happen we only human. So I took her back to find out there is now scratches on her cornea more swelling and discomfort. More tests and more treatment given. Was told £170 thinking this is steep I asked for a breakdown in price, to then find out I was being charged twice for medicine so it was actually £140. Again 2 days later her eye is even worse so I stopped using the treatment and called the practice to ask their advice and was told a vet would call me back to discuss further. Well they called me back at 7.05pm on a Friday. By 3pm I realised they don’t care about my animal and I took her elsewhere to find out she had a seed in her eye, was given an eye wash and told to do facial massage and within 2 days her eye was back to normal, this service and treatment cost me £21. Take what you like from the above, but to me they just seem like they after money, premium rates not for premium care. I feel like a terrible owner putting my dog through unnecessary stress and discomfort for almost 5 days because I trusted this vets. Also id just like to add when I joined I thought this was a privately run clinic however it is owned by one of the big leader companies (ivc evidensia)

It’s just a short walk to the stalls where the sellers are parked in wide lines so you have plenty of space to wander around and are not jostled by crowds as in some car boot sales. Another advantage of this location is its on flat level ground, so no walking up a hill and it’s nearly all on grass, which is softer than gravel and easier on your feet (and just nicer to walk on) if mobility is an issue. During a chat to the owner of the boot sale this morning, he told me it is also well worth coming on a Thursday as this is becoming more popular and is another chance to find a bargain if you missed out on the Sunday sale. All in all, a very pleasant morning stroll around the different stalls, and every stall holder I spoke to was polite, friendly and often more than happy to have a chat. Some also might see a walk around a boot sale as a bit of an antidote to life’s stresses. If you haven’t been, it’s well worth a visit, and it’s good to see that the place hasn’t really changed much, as it’s nice how it is.
