Not a friendly church whatsoever. They are very clicky and push you out if you don't "fit in" their standard. The pastor is not forth coming with those he hires. They need prayer and a major revival. I would be happy to furnish the scriptural basis for this review. It is not given flippantly or lightly. Some day, someone is going to be in a desperate state, ask for help, be ignored or pushed aside ( as I and others have been because of not " playing the game" )and it will result in a suicide or worse. Until it happens to someone prominent enough, I fear that this congregation will remain in it's own little group of cliques until a major wake up call occurs. I pray others will come forward with an honest review on the sad state of hypocrisy and ignoring those truly in need ( not the manipulating, game playing derelicts that often scam " church people") who approach the Church at large and are turned away. The people were friendly and greeted us as soon as we arrived. Very friendly and very family oriented. Someone in another posting said this place is a cult; I would whole heartedly disagree with their statement. This church is very Biblical from listening to their music and preaching. The message was clearly from the Bible and I felt the pastor gave us the bread that our spirit needed. Too many churches are trying to go the way of the world, but the world is corrupt due to man's influence and guidance (just as are allot of the differentversions of the bible). Whereas the Bible is the truth and bread we need for our spirit (bread for our soul). We need to be challenged by God's word, not just come just for socializing. So if you get offended, the Holy Spirit is pointing out my flaws, your flaws, everyone's flaws, which more than likely is the sin in ourselves. The Pastor gave the word on Psalms 51. Where David knew he had to remove the sin in his life before trying to make things better with the world. I will definitely be going back to this church if I visit Lompoc. I'd give 8 stars if I could. God's word needs to be given, the feel good word and the hurtful word. Otherwise when will you be challenged to change that disgusting SIN from one's life. Yes I'm still a sinner, we all are! But my sins are forgiven when I meaningfully repent and attempt not to sin. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior. This is part of His great commission - Share the good news to ALL that have not heard.
