Our sea view room exceeded our expectations. Both the room itself and the balcony were spacious. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The bathroom was large and felt luxurious. The only improvement for breakfast service was there was often a wait to get coffee service. I loved that outside dining was available at breakfast and the resident hawk kept the seagulls away. The location of the hotel was 10/10. It was a 15 minutes or less walk to town, the marina and Boca do Inferno. There are complimentary bikes available to guests , which we didn’t realize until our last day. The spa is beautiful and clean. My husband and I did the water therapy pool , which was very relaxing. Unfortunately the sauna was out of order but the steam room was open. The pool was lovely, warm water and plenty of lounge chairs. All of the staff were warm and welcoming. I hope to be able to return sometime soon.

They were kind and took the feedback and took it off the bill. All good. The hotel is showing it's age but is great for golfers as the course is right next door. The day I wanted to golf we had a torrential storm so had to miss that opportunity. For a 4 star hotel it is well worth it, but not for a 5 star. Breakfast was okay, basically buffet style eggs, bacon, ham, etc. Not bad but not great.

They have all been lovely. Pestana Cidadela Cascais was absolutely amazing. The facility is gorgeous, the buffet breakfast is fantastic and the staff is absolutely wonderful. We had a 2-bedroom corner suite, and the views from the balcony were unreal, easily some of the best you’ll find anywhere along the coast. The weather was perfect, and the location couldn’t be better. You can walk to the beach in minutes and have around 30 restaurants within easy walking distance. The room was depressing, i would not recommend staying here. Can’t comment on the facilities cus we didn’t use them. One girl in the breakfast staff was lovely, saw me wondering looking for a clean table by the window and came and asked me and cleaned one for me and said if I needed anything just ask, that’s what she’s there for. Front desk could learn from their porters and other staff. When checking out the front desk girl asked if we needed any taxi or anything. This was the first time any front-desk sort of behaviour had been displayed to us by this team. we said yes can she book us a taxi for later as our flight was in the evening. she said no, they don’t pre-book taxis. So that was useless anyway. Also be warned this area is full of scammer taxi/uber drivers. 80% of our experience was people taking us for spins (even on the way to my proposal making us 50 minutes late). The front desk witnessed my fiancé getting scammed by a taxi driver pretending not to have a card reader, we had to get cash from the atm at the hotel. I sat in the lobby as the taxi driver tried to scam more money from my fiancé & I could see the front desk looking at each other and gossiping/looking at the commotion outside, fully aware of what was going on. I have had a similar experience at a 3* hotel and the front desk immediately came out and helped us with the taxi. This was pure lazy and poor level of service. They left us to fend for ourselves.

Of course, the description given by Hugo of the way he makes this classic just enhanced the savory sips of this great cocktail. Chunks of spicy chocolate accompanied the already spicy drink to make one memorable experience indeed! Hugo obviously treats his craft as seriously as a Scientist in his lab. This place looked appealing and we tried our luck. In November it was quiet. We couldn’t find any services within walking distance, which is the only cons for the hotel. Service was great. After all the walking and sight seeing in bustling Lisbon and Porto, spending last part of our honeymoon by the ocean was the best way to unwind and recharged. This chateau is located right at the end of the cliff and it has the most breathtaking sunsets and scenery. There is few restaurants within walking distance and is remotely away from everything on purpose. It is a popular spot for surfers at Guincho beach. Cascais downtown is only within 15mins drive away. The chateau gives a beautiful charm of history and it only has 27 rooms, giving you the exclusiveness and attention you deserves. Upon our arrival, we were greeted before entering and to our wonderful surprised we were upgraded to an ocean view room with balcony (what a nice surprised since I did not indicate it was our honeymoon when booking). All staffs are friendly, and we enjoy our many chats with the staffs at the bar during cocktail hour on our 4 nights stay there. We had our dinner on our last night stay at their Michelin Gastronomy Restaurant. A meal of art, flavors on your palette pair with wine, give you a lasting impression you won't forget! The room was somewhat acceptable for the price but it didn't feel that clean nor did it live up to the same quality as shown in the pictures. Bathroom was old and the shower head felt small and cheap. The "white" shower curtain was old and yellowish. There was a nespresso machine where they charged 2 euros per capsule which was quite cheap given the price of the room. The common spaces were really nice as well as the pool area. That along with more modern pictures of the rooms made us want book 2 nights here in the first place. The hotel staff was kind enough to let us park our rental car in their garage for no added cost. Most of them were very friendly and service oriented which we appreciated. Overall we were somewhat content with our stay but we wouldn't book it another time.

The service was impeccable here. We were greeted with a friendly smile and taken well care of during our stay. So much so that they accommodated us for an earlier breakfast time so we could get going with our day earlier. The location was prime as well. It is right in the heart of the city center. They even did house keeping while we were away. The most unexpected part of this hotel was the breakfast. It was the best breakfast we had during our whole time in Portugal. We loved the kids play area and the adult and kids pools, as well as the gardens on the property. The building is gorgeous and the hotel room was the perfect setup for our family of 5. The hotel property and buildings at both locations we stayed at are worthy of the 5-star rating, but unfortunately BOTH hotels lacked the 5-star service we expected from high-end hotel chains.
