I put two photos of slices of their Margherita pepperoni and plain cheese and their hot honey. I will start with the good, very firm, well done, almost no flop, crispy pizza. I really enjoyed the spicy honey in the OG roni square pizza but did not like the $39 price tag for 6 square pieces. They automatically charge you a 18% service fee but you can have it removed. Since I was sitting in the restaurant I accepted the service fee. I also ordered a regular cheese slice (round) to compare against other pizzas and honestly found the sauce too salty, bread too bland and hard, and ingredients would fall off the pizza too easily. It is a small place but bathrooms are right by entrance and there is a bar/cashier area to the left side where you order and pay. You sit at a table with your number so they can bring your order. We were excited to see they were moving across the street yet sad to see Farinelli go, we enjoyed both. I visited last Thursday for Happy hour and dinner. We were there for several hours ordering food and drinks (total bill $400+). I have to say although they did a lovely job with the decor of the new location, the food leaves much to be desired. Most of what we ate onsite was smaller pizzas and that was average at best. Prior to leaving we decided to order food to go, a lasagna and a Fig pizza from the regular menu. This was one of the most dissapointing food experiences I have had in a long time. I did not open the lasagna until we got home and as you can see in the picture this was very small, didn't have sauce and the presentation is not something you'd expect at a restaurant of this caliber. The pizza was average tasting and did not sit well with me. This is not what you'd expect from Strada nor any restaurant of this caliber. I have had better pizza and lasagna at my local pizza shop, for much less. With so much competition for dining in this area alone, this is the product you came back with? They may as well have left Farinelli if they were going to go with all look but no substance. Unfortunately, this new place did not live up to the expectation and we will not be returning. Each on their own were really good restaurants. Farinelli had awesome pizzas which most are still in the new menu but some like the funghi is no longer there but a new version (tartufo) We started with lamb meatballs and fritto misto (fried calamari with zucchini and apples) meatballs were good but the sauce is probably the best thing. We had a reservation but I do think we would’ve been fine without, considering it was a weekday lunch. Although, I do know for a fact they get busy on the weekends and for dinner! And not only that, but you have to cancel a FULL 3 days in advance which is a little outrageous in my opinion. The vibe here is immaculate. I was super pleased to learn that they had a gluten free pasta. I got the gluten free pasta with a butter and cheese on it and it was pretty delicious. I also really appreciated the portions. They were all on the smaller side, but a reasonable size for a meal unlike other places where you have leftovers at the end of the meal or you just eat until you’re overly stuffed. The drinks were delicious and beautiful. It’s not a place I would make one of my regular Miami spots but I do think it’s definitely worth going to at least once because it really is just a beautiful restaurant!
