We wanted to each somewhere nice and we chose the right place! The food was delightful and the staff were fantastic. We were a big group with 7 children, we felt well catered to, the staff were very willing to help, engaged with the children and all of this made our experience so much better. For £36 each it was above expectation. Challenging for a couple of hackers but course was in great shape with very fast greens compared to what we're used to. Chillied locals and relaxed vibe considering the quality of the course. Good bar with reasonable cider £5.60 pints. 100% playing here again if we're passing.

They came out nice and crisp and the dips alongside them really stood out. The mango chutney had that sweet sticky flavour that pairs perfectly with the crunch while the mint sauce was fresh and cooling with just the right amount of tang. A proper good combo to start the meal. For my main I went with the meat Bhuna and I have to say it was spot on. The sauce was thick, rich and packed with flavour, not overly spicy but full of depth. The meat itself was tender and soaked up the sauce really well so every bite had a good kick of that Bhuna flavour. Paired that with keema rice which was lovely. The rice was fluffy and light but every mouthful had those little bursts of spiced mince in it which gave it more bite and made it far more interesting than plain rice. I also got a cheesy naan to go with it. I will be honest, the edges were a bit stale which was a shame but once you got into the middle it was soft, gooey and properly cheesy. When you ripped a piece off and scooped it up with the Bhuna it was an absolute winner. The cheese and sauce worked so well together. The restaurant itself has a really nice decor, clean and welcoming, and the staff were brilliant. They were friendly and kept checking in to make sure everything was alright without being overbearing which really made the experience feel relaxed. Only downside is that I did end up with a bit of an upset stomach after which was unfortunate, but apart from that the food tasted great and the service could not be faulted.

Despite the restaurant being quite busy, we were seated straight away. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the food was absolutely delicious. Even with the high number of customers, our meals arrived quickly. The portions were generous, and the quality of the food was excellent. The desserts were sensational – all homemade and full of flavour. If you're in the area, I would highly recommend visiting. We truly felt welcomed and had a wonderful experience!

So glad our Bristolian buddies took us here for lunch on Saturday. We went for the set 2 course lunch menu and it was AMAZING! We had pork belly bites while we waited and my mouth is watering even typing that - they were crispy and delicious. The menu choices were great and we chose Cumberland sausages with onion gravy and mash, it came with a Yorkshire pudding with crispy bits (onion) in it too. Hubby had ham, egg and chips. There are a few comments on here about difficulties getting food - especially on Sundays. So here is the number one tip....book a table in advance, and the earlier the better. Yes, they do run out of the Sunday Roast - if you haven't booked. I don't know of any decent quality places that you can just walk into and expect a Sunday lunch tbh. Possibly the only exception being a Toby Carvery - who don't let you book - so that one is pot luck anyway. I presume that they cook enough meats for the Sunday bookings to avoid waste. The Sunday lunches are popular. We booked for 12:30 and our meal arrived within 5-10 minutes. Piping hot. A super plate of roasted vegetables - clearly seasonal - including potatoes, celeriac, swede and a side dish of greens and carrots and a delicious piece of pork draft. Not sure why my partners meat was almost twice the size of mine mind! There is an offer on for a desert with a standard 'roast'. I had my desert to take out as I was full. Apart from Sunday Roasts, the evenings and daytime atmospheres are very good with a decent range of beers on draught, in very interesting surroundings. Not the cheapest, but good quality, a nice welcome and customer service as well, all adds to a pleasant time to be had.

Friendly staff and comfortable interior which I can imagine really does catch the sun when it's out. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The menu is inexpensive and we had the fish and chips plus scampi chips and salad. They were both hearty meals well presented. Place was quite empty but the reviews were mostly good. Got served quite quickly by the nice lady behind the bar. Went to find a table and sat down, chairs were awful and collapsing. Got served the food, I had lasagne, was very hot and tasted ok, lots of cheese. Just have to mention the rather surly man behind the bar, who I guess was the manager. For only £15 for a steak I wasn't expecting much but unfortunately something was contaminated, I believe the salad, as I became sick with food poisoning a couple hours later. I hadn't eaten anything else and after a few hours of being very ill I recovered, so it was definitely food poisoning. Was unfortunate as the staff and other people were friendly and the toilets were clean. But they should do better to check their salads aren't old/unwashed.

I've tried pretty much everything on the menu now and can 100% vouch for everything. The burgers where up there with been the nicest burgers I have ever had, the pizzas are actual proper pizza done in a stone oven. We ended up eating in here almost every meal and it was 100% worth it. Ignore any of the old reviews they don't match the quality of this place anymore. 10/10!

It was awful. We had ordered a 12 item plate a 5 item plate and beans on toast. On my 5 item plate I had to pay for extra toast as I wasn’t included on the items you could pick from. The bacon was hardly cooked, the hash browns tasted stale. The egg was hardly cooked and crispy you wasn’t even able to eat it. On my partners 12 plate breakfast the food was the same as mine but his food was swimming in water and Greece. Would never recommend going there for food it was discussing.
