The toastie, ploughman’s, falafel wrap and the pizza excellent, the drinks choice great with the lovely tea in the pink pots - hope to visit again whilst in the area. This used to be the full length of the main street. What a disappointment , however we found a fantastic shop/ cafe which had been recommended to us in the pub on the previous night by a member of staff who lives in Honiton. The shop has some lovely tourist gifts, but wow, the cafe is a real gem. Both are dog friendly, always a bonus , we had a tuna and cheese toastie, ham and cheese toastie, a bowl of skin on fries, and a pot of freshly brewed leaf tea, in pink teapots, not a tea bag in sight. The toasties were on thick cheesey bread with a portion of plain crisps, generous portions on the toasties. Staff were very friendly even when our Jack Russell Terrier barked when they brought the food, it's when anyone is carrying anything to our table, whether in a pub or cafe. We try and warn staff, but we forgot this time. Large menu selection, lots of drink options, it's behind the shop on the main road, look out for the sign, you won't be disappointed, photos after I had started cos I was starving, sorry.

The daily roast dinner are delicious and not to be missed. On this occasion I decided to go for their Devon beef burger. I was a little disappointed with what came out as it was all quite basic. There are plenty of tables in the bar area so your pets are welcome to sit with you while you eat. There is a cool children’s play area outside and popular for a beer in the sunshine while your kids play. Good to see a nice variety of soft drinks for the kids as well as alcoholic beverages for the adults. The deserts are tasty and the kids ice cream portions are plentiful. There are 2 carparks and plenty of spaces.

Heard good things about it and the quality of the food. Got a lovely table looking across the fields, nice out side area too for warmer weather. When it came to us, we politely pointed out that we'd been waiting in queue ahead of that person and would like a table for two if one is available. Quite small but this is a good thing, as its easy to keep an eye on your kids and it doesn't get too busy and crowded. The Honiton Garden Centre has exemplary service. The dining area/ tea room adjacent to the centre, served delicious and sweet/savoury meals and desserts that were impeccably prepared. The service was attentive, prompt and kindly well mannered. The centre offers an abundance for your personal gardens as well as offering gifts, plants, clothing, pottery and all sorts. The enveloping scenery is breathtaking and offers a panoramic landscape of Honiton and surrounding areas (East Devon). The tower nearby is a gorgeous one. Very picturesque. All in all, a grand visit.
