A couple weeks ago, I ordered 2 beef noodle dishes with beef, greens, noodles in a soy based sauce.. paid $44, was told AFTER, I got there to pick them up, that they ran out of beef so they made it with chicken.. I said ok, no worries, and paid almost $45.. Got home, opened the dishes, turns out the dishes were basically chopped up noodles with BARELY any veg, and what looked looked like “bread crumbs” scattered sparsely throughout.. It seemed they ran out of not just beef, but chicken too, AND veggies!! They seemed to have taken ONE bite size piece of chicken and grated it on a micro plane grater into bread crumb size pieces!! NOT IMPRESSED.. if they had have just been honest, and called and said they ran out of meat and most veggies, I could understand, that can happen.. They could have just given us the option to either charge MUCH less for just noodles and soy, or given the option of a refund.. For what we received, I have could have made in 5 minutes for A FRACTION of the cost I was charged.. They basically charged me FULL price, for some chopped up noodles and soy sauce?? People work hard for their money, just like they do, so if someone purchases something, then they should get what they ordered, OR at least, be honest and don’t take full price for something you have not only not provided, but deceived someone into to believing they were getting to make full price on something you didn’t provide.. VERY POOR ETHICS!! I am NOT paying over $20 for some noodles and soy sauce, when told it had chicken, but there was NO meat at all!! Sorry, but I felt I had to say something.. We were so VERY disappointed and felt RIPPED OFF.. Wish I had taken a photo, but forgot, but my father can attest to this!! EDIT, in response to the owners response!! I received a response, and I apologise to the owners for the misunderstanding in the dates, as I left the review on their second week, after I saw them on the second week they were there when I decided to make the review, but had no idea it was their first week here when this happened.. i don’t know how long they have been here for.. However, i think they have COMPLETELY MISSED the point of my review?? Regardless of how long they have been there for, it was the FACT, that they were NOT transparent and honest enough to tell me they ran out of all meat and most veg, but still had the audacity to deceive me, say they did chicken (which I happily accepted, despite, not even liking chicken that much), but went with it, when it turned out there was barely an ounce of visible chicken, and now that I think about it, it may have just been a bit of scrambled egg, which is part of the dish, and was STILL CHARGED FULL PRICE for ONLY noodles and scattered egg, which I am more than sure, anyone, including they themselves, if charged $20+ per dish, x 2, for only some noodles, a tiny bit of egg and veg, with a splash of soy sauce, would NOT be happy about!! I think the response from the owner, should recognise that, I am not complaining that they ran out of goods, it was THE FACT they said, and deceived that they ran out beef and did it with chicken, only to find there was neither, or barley a recognisable bit of chicken which actually was probably egg, and deceived me, and charged me FULL price!! Please, in future, just be HONEST with customers, and don’t DECEIVE people and then charge them FULL PRICE on an order you can’t deliver.. I am truly sorry to have to leave a review like this, I don’t like to, but honestly felt I had to.. I don’t mean to do harm to this business, but it really was extremely unacceptable to do what they did.. next time give the customer the truth and don’t just take there money to make a quick buck!!

I’ve worked in busy hospitality venues and I can assure you this was just plain old RUDE customer service and this woman clearly didn’t want to be there. —- Also being “busy” is not any excuse to give your customers such rude and abrupt service. You could have just asked me to walk around the corner and order from a different cafe if you didn’t want my business! I watched her make all of the 4 coffees she had in her lineup, mine included. Overall not great service, & not a great coffee which is such a shame cos as a local I had previously enjoyed coffee from here on the occasions that I’d stop in… well I can tell you after this, it most definately has left a sour taste and I won’t be back !

Like next level. Beautiful flavour, expertly made, and very nicely presented. It’s an all round winner that emphatically underscores the view that you can get great coffee in regional areas. Nice egg and bacon roll here. A generous size with a good amount of egg and bacon. The tomato relish was a little too sweet for me though and it was so liberally applied that it oozed out the side of the roll with the slightest pressure. The chicken and pesto roll thingy was a tiny bit disappointing for me - I found it a bit bland and over complicated - but not so for my partner who enjoyed it. It’s not cheap here but it’s all good quality. The cafe is small and it’s nicely and fashionably set out in the urban hipster style with some good tables on the street. It was doing a very brisk takeaway trade while we were here and plenty of people were on the outside tables too. The staff were young and friendly and doing a good job in an amiable way. It’s a good place. Coffee is taken ultra seriously here and it’s a highlight. Most city places don’t make coffee this good.

Had a chat with them while my brother and I shared a pot of tea. There was a little fridge of cakes available and any of their devine-looking teas for drinking in either a single serve or nice big pot for sharing or to drink at a leisurely pace.
