We usually come here for family special occasions as it is pricier than other places. The service was dreadful, we asked for the food to come together (there were 4 of us, including two children) and half of the food came at different times, the other half never turned up. The children's food was so late coming out that my son had fallen asleep and was napping under the table. One of the young male servers came over and asked me to move the child our suit him up in the chair (asleep? How?!), and then started shaking his head at me when I said that he wasn't doing any harm under the table. The wait staff tried to say the food hadn't come as the kitchen was so busy - the first 45 minutes we were in there, there were only two other tables taken in there, one of four and one of two, so I was not impressed. Overall, very disappointing, we will try somewhere else next time.

Our greeter wasn’t the best, the rest of the staff were nice though. Portion sizes were large, I struggled to finish my rice. Best thing is pretty much all meals are £10 give or take a £. Found our initial visit excellent & left a good review. Since then, it's clearly become more popular and the food has never EVER been a disappointment. We're always greeted by Jack (the proprietor) who is always happy to engage with customers & clearly does his best to ensure customer satisfaction. Any questions & they're always happy to spend time with you explaining the food, dishes & their style of cooking. It certainly is NOT like the MSG filled dishes served by many other Chinese restaurants around the area. Although there's a £20/head 'eat as much as you like' menu, there's also another menu filled with special dishes. Each have their own refreshingly crisp/clean flavour & clearly made with skill using high quality ingredients. Service is also very quick. We regularly look forward to our visits to Been. The fold was really tasty. I organized the food to looka better. The chicken skewer with satay sauce is really tender and delicious. The shred beef was tasty too.
