I didn’t realise how good this place is until my recent visit. Firstly they are fully halal which is so good. Also, the atmosphere is lovely. Date night aesthetic, clean and great service.

This has to be up there in the top 10 of places I’ve eaten, food is absolutely amazing !!!
Visited on a weekday evening around 6pm for our evening meal as staying in MK on business trip,
I went onto their website to pre-book a table around 20 mins before our visit .. so glad I did as by the time we were leaving every table was full !, friendly service and quiet so easy to talk, also 2-4-1 on cocktails just like most of the other restaurants in this immediate area, we found the cocktails here to be very good !

I was craving Asian cuisine yesterday and decided to try for the first time. Unfortunately, the meal was a letdown.
The Som Tum (Papaya Salad) didn't quite hit the mark for my taste. More notably, the salad noodles were tough, which really impacted the texture. For the Ramen, the side toppings included were disappointingly cold.
It's truly a shame that this dining experience didn't satisfy an Asian food enthusiast.
Service and decoration of the restaurant were wonderful, maybe will try another menu next time.

My friend highly recommended this place so we decided to go check it out.
We ordered:
Garlic fish - taste good but standard marination like all other restaurants
Jeera rice - Jeera was burnt
Taliepa Fish curry - sauce was really nice but can taste the fish was recooked
Lamb was good but not amazing
Boondi Raita - Was decent but not amazing
All the food came out within 5-10 minutes, so it’s for certain nothing was cooked freshly.
Waitress - friendly but a little slow with the things, I noticed they served us starters with no sauces. Or provided water with no glasses. Not a big deal, but noticeable.
Vibe - Great atmosphere!
Parking - Free parking, although as you walk in, on the right you need to complete your car reg details - we totally missed this but the staff said we can do it at the end.
Overall, probably wouldn’t come back unless they make their food fresh.
Next door they do great dessert!

We celebrated our father’s 80th Birthday and had an Excellent Experience at Bollywood Junction on Saturday afternoon! We had booked the whole restaurant exclusively.
We had a wonderful time celebrating the Birthday at Bollywood Junction! The food was delicious — full of authentic flavours and beautifully presented. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Everyone was highly complimentary of the entire event.

I appreciate the effort that goes into running a restaurant, and I had high hopes for my visit. However, I found the food to be quite expensive, and unfortunately, it didn't meet my expectations. I was driven to Bollywood Junction by a friend (and a client prospect) and I opted for Veg Thali and Shikanji as a drink. Both were simply superb, may be Shikanji was little too sharp and bright but delightfully refreshing - and every dish in the Thali was fresh and tasty. Tandoori roti was nice, crispy and fresh. Will visit again with friends at the next opportunity. I'd surely recommend a few visits.

We have shopped at the supermarket next door for years but this was the first time we had the time to stop for food. It was amazing. The portions were large but also quality was high. Price was good. You won't find a better fully vegan Chinese takeaway anywhere. Veggie World is the best! We have been coming here for over 20 years. It was a very nice restaurant for a few years, and now we can get takeaway food only, but luckily we don't have too far to travel.
Staff are wonderful, friendly and caring, clearly passionate about animal rights - and good food. Everything we've ordered has always been delicious and cooked to perfection. There is a huge range of options on the menu, including tofu and veggie 'meat/fish', which never fails to impress our omni friends.
Our all time favourite is curry laksa, a tasty, comforting noodle soup that we will never tire of.

High standard Hong Kong style food with very reasonable price. The satay beef instant noodles tastes exactly the same as I had in HK, one of the best. Beef tendon noodles really worths trying, portion is large enough. Salt and pepper squid is irresistible, my kid finish half of this dish with fried beef ho fan as main dish.

Visited this place and returned back home with a smile. Service was very good and we did not have to book. The place was quite good and atmosphere was also good. After a hectic shopping, visited here for the rice meal. Me and my wife order meals with good varieties of chicken toppings.
The food was outstanding though and portions quite large. We had one of the buffet menus and the variety and quality was excellent as was the price.
One of the highly recommended place if you are near to MK shopping centre. The good food will relax you and refresh you. The service staffs are also good and welcomed very well.

Friendly staff but hygiene is questionable. Make sure you watch them making your food-I’m glad I did. With a hygiene rating of 5 I expected much better. We held a birthday party for my wife here at the weekend, there were around 30 of us who all ordered different dishes and the service was amazing. The orders were taken promptly, the food was fresh and delicious and the staff were incredible with us- making the whole process from booking the table to settling the tabs as seamless as possible. I couldn’t recommend the Kam Tong highly enough for how well they accommodated us- even down to adjusting the air conditioning when the party got too hot. It’s been our favourite for a long time but this has truly solidified it.

Agree with everyone saying the service was rushed, they're more used to takeaways here now and seem to have forgotten why people go out for dinner instead, ie. to talk and enjoy the food, not just inhale three courses within half an hour. Staff were constantly staring at us and coming over to interrupt our conversation and take away plates when some of us were still eating which was extremely rude, we actually had to hold onto the plates we were eating off to stop them at one point. Shame because the food is nice but we don't come here much anymore because it's not an enjoyable experience, a real pity.

This is my second time being here, I came here with my friend and his parents for his birthday and we went for the buffet/creative menu and the food was delicious.
After my friends father explaining to me what food they did and he was helping me choose, and even encouraged me to try new things as I'm absolutely selective of what I eat in a Chinese , so I tried new things and I was very impressed, however there was a long wait for the mains but I'm not complaining and none of us minded because we were pretty stuffed, we did feel like we were looked after! Unexpected surprise. I had never heard of this restaurant until it was recommended by a friend so we decided to try it on one of our date nights. First of all we were greeted with a warm welcome and the decor was tasteful and a reflection of a Chinese restaurant. Very impressive restaurant ... called at 8.20 to book for 8.30... got there and the table was ready ... you have the option of all you can eat buffet or ordering separate from the menu, the buffet comes fresh as you order it which means it's not your normal buffet that everyone has been touching your food and it's been waiting there for ages. .. the service is impeccable , they bring you all the little things that make you feel caterered to like water to wash your hands before your meal. Disappointing experience after eating chopsticks for many years in Birmingham. Noodles feel not cooked and food is just warm-ish when purchasing. Place is not very clean either. The only thing good is the waiting time is quiet short (as not many people are visiting) and there is quiet a lot of sitting but again a lot of seats are unavailable as rubbish still left on the tables - staff seem to prefer to chat.

I've come back to this place 3 times. The first two times were on a Friday, and the food has been okay, but overpriced IMHO.
However, I've come here today (a Thursday) and the food has been bad and over priced. Paid £4.50 for a small sweet and sour chicken and noodles. Noodles were way oversalted, and the sweet and sour chicken was so watered down that I could barely taste the sauce at all.

I've been coming here for many years for my lunch, today I asked my usual Fire Cracker Chicken only to have a hand waved at me and in bad english told they didn't do it anymore, I paused waiting for a recommendation to have in place of it but no more words came, so I left.

This was our first time here and we opted to have the buffet. The menu is absolutely huge! The idea is that you start with a bowl of soup, followed by a selection of starters, crispy duck and mains. Been the familly chinese since i was a child, it certainly 'WAS' the best around and always packed. Unfortunately the prices here are now just to expensive for what you actually get. On top of that they have either changed there chef or someone has changed the menu for no good reason as no dish tastes the same, all very bland only half the portions and combined with the pricing its just no longer worth the trip out. The Good Friend is a solid spot for Chinese takeaway in Milton Keynes. I’ve ordered from them a few times now and the food is consistently tasty and well-prepared. The portions are generous, especially the rice and noodle dishes, and the flavours are bold without being overly salty or greasy.

Still can only mark 4 stars for atmosphere as this is a take away as opposed to restaurant so totally different kind of atmosphere, but that does not detract from the warm, friendly greeting you always get. Have been using this take away for some years and gave no complaints at all! Food is always hot and well cooked, and full of flavour; when we order by phone the total price is always confirmed and the time for collection is always around 20 minutes from placing order, so no long waits.
Hopefully we will be using Good Friend for many years to come. Good Friend, Good Food, Lovely Staff, nothing else to say.

Absolutely disgraceful food—I'll be sharing this all over social media to highlight just how dirty and awful this place is. The food was completely inedible. The so-called egg fried rice wasn’t egg fried rice at all; it was yellow, resembling curry rice, with an indescribably awful taste. The chicken balls were raw, with uncooked batter and under-cooked chicken inside. The curry sauce tasted like raw flour and was swimming in oil. Everything was completely inedible. We decided to try a different Chinese takeaway.
Egg fried rice was so dry and not even sure it had egg or soy sauce in it.
Beef and black bean hand a big chunk of uncooked meat and the sauce was so think it was like gravy.
The s&s lamb was chewy and the again the sauce was so think it was more like a syrup than a sauce.
the s&s chicken balls were dry, chewy and just not nice.
The chicken spring rolls were incredibly spicy. Nothing about this on their menu. Made my 3 year old cry.
The ribs were full of spicky bones. Not cut normally, but cut diagonally to make a spike that I didn't notice and scratched my mouth.
The chow mein was the only thing that was just o k.
This was hands down, the worse Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Will never use here again. I suggest you all do the same.

Ordered for delivery as i was craving for asian soup and was disappointed as it was so bland, tasteles same as the rest of the food. House special chow made was almost vegan as it had so little meats in it. There is no doubt that home made chow mein is delicious. You can enjoy either meat or vegetables melting in your mouth. Each flavor is distinct. We found the king prawns to be delicious, however, we were unimpressed with the bamboo shoots, since they were too crunchy (probably this must be the case). It was also delicious to eat beef with Chinese mushrooms.
We receive prompt and efficient service. Chefs were immersed in the preparation of dishes while paying careful attention to the orders of customers even though they were busy preparing food.

The service was absolutely horrible. The lady taking orders was extremely rude, and her behaviour was off putting to the point of scaring customers away. I was mistakenly marked as not collecting my order. After explaining the situation, it was cleared from the system, and I placed my order again. Having tried a few replacements for the now closed Magic Wok in Newport Pagnell, we have finally found our new go-to Chinese food.
We have tried a few, but Crispy Duck Hanslope is the best for us.
Can be busy, so either ring ahead or request delivery. Yep, deliver to Newport, which is great.

Had a delivery last night ( sat ) I had special chow mien , sweet and sour chicken balls and special fried rice . The delivery was very late and on arrival they did give me money back for delivery which I appreciate , but on plating my meal the balls were barely warm and the rice and chow mien the same , and once I tried it it wasn’t any better especially the chow mien which did not taste at all anything like chow mien but it tasted like spaghetti pasta and the sauce non existent.
I’m extremely disappointed as I’ve eaten many times with them and it’s been lovely but unfortunately this is my last as it’s a treat for me to have a takeaway and throwing the whole meal in the bin is costly with no enjoyment.

Absolutely disgraceful food—I'll be sharing this all over social media to highlight just how dirty and awful this place is. The food was completely inedible. The so-called egg fried rice wasn’t egg fried rice at all; it was yellow, resembling curry rice, with an indescribably awful taste. The chicken balls were raw, with uncooked batter and under-cooked chicken inside. The curry sauce tasted like raw flour and was swimming in oil. Everything was completely inedible. Egg fried rice was so dry and not even sure it had egg or soy sauce in it.
Beef and black bean hand a big chunk of uncooked meat and the sauce was so think it was like gravy.
The s&s lamb was chewy and the again the sauce was so think it was more like a syrup than a sauce.
the s&s chicken balls were dry, chewy and just not nice.
The chicken spring rolls were incredibly spicy. Nothing about this on their menu. Made my 3 year old cry.
The ribs were full of spicky bones. Not cut normally, but cut diagonally to make a spike that I didn't notice and scratched my mouth.
The chow mein was the only thing that was just o k.
This was hands down, the worse Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Will never use here again. I suggest you all do the same.

House special chow made was almost vegan as it had so little meats in it. But an hour or so after, we both experienced stomach aches, sickness and diarrhoea. We won’t be ordering from here again. Where to start, the curry sauce was just watery and lacked flavour. The "thai green curry" was watery, no coconut milk or cream used at all. Contained no veg at all. I was hesitant to try Panda Town as I’m very pick of Chinese food and most places are not that good, or bad if that simplifies it.
I’m surprised by the taste, it’s at least the average taste in China standard for takeaways. Like others mentioned, it’s not oily but well balanced.
If I try to be picky, then the prawns are not the best, and the wonton stuffing is a bit dry, but hey, this is the best in the area.

The Fish&Chips place next door is really good, but it’s only good at what it does and that’s about it. Panda Town offers a much bigger variety. I like them both.

This place is cash only with quick tasty food. I ordered the veg duck pancakes and it was chunks of mock duck, battered and fried rather than the shredded version I'm used to. We tried Mo's last night for the very first time. We were a little wary as had previously lived close to what was widely recognised as an excellent Chinese take away. We need not have worried. Although initially a little bit of a challenge to get through on the phone to place the order, once through then the service, speed of food preparation and food itself were all excellent. Clearly the take away was popular based on the number of people who turned up to collect or place orders whilst we were there. As mentioned, despite that, the service was incredibly good and fast. We will definitely make Mo's our take away of choice from now on.

I’ve given this place numerous tries as I am close and each time it’s just disappointing. It’s a shame because the people seem lovely. Last meal I ordered 3+ meat dishes each with a different name and flavour. When I opened it, it tasted like it was all cooked in the not great tasting sweet and sour dip they use for the prawn crackers. The ribs were cooked so dry they were almost crumbly. Great prawn balls - 10 in a light, crispy batter with tails left on for presentation, with a rich, sweet sauce supplied in a separate container.
Mixed veg Chow Mein had crispy fresh veg and noodles in a rich, smokey sauce.
Roast Duck Chinese style - looked great but my friend was disappointed that the duck was only on the top layer and the rest of the container was bean sprouts. My friend expected more meat for their money and topped up with some of my prawns.

WORST CHINESE I HAVE EVER EATEN AND AWFUL SERVICE FROM THE TAKEAWAY TO MAKE IT EVEN WORSE.
We ordered a takeaway from Sams and it was awful. The hot & sour soup was bland and just full of big lumps of raw onion. It genuinely tasted of nothing!
The sweet and sour pork hong king style was very watery in appearance but just tasted of vinegar.
The Szechuan beef and Mongolian pork with cashew nuts apart from the colour of the meat looked identical. The gravy was clearly the same as what was in the hot and sour soup. They all tasted the same, of nothing nice in the slightest.
The chow mein was like mush and had been chopped up before getting sent to us, each bit was no longer than an inch.
I could make similar comments about every dish we ordered but it was the worst £72.99 I have spent.
I do not like leaving a bad review so we called the restaurant first to give feedback and see if they wanted to resolve, the just said “we don’t care, it’s not our problem complain via Deliveroo and see what they say. We are too busy to talk to you dealing with customers that like our food”. At this point they hung up on me.
We ended up throwing away 90% of the food which is a real waste.
Thank god for Deliveroo’s customer service who provided a full refund.
I would strongly recommend that nobody uses this takeaway. It’s got food poisoning written all over it!

The great reviews confuse me. Was I just unlucky? I've been eating Chinese food for over 40years now and I can say without doubt this is the worst I've ever eaten. Firstly, I ordered 'chicken chow mien' (£7.20)and 'Sams mixed starters for two'(£11.00). When it turned up it was lukewarm, at best. It came in 2 small containers.
Firstly the mixed starters box. The two ribs in the container were dry and 'old' tasting. The smoked chicken was rubbery and tasted of nothing. The spring rolls tasted reheated as did the tiniest samosas I've ever seen. At the bottom of the container was the seaweed which was ok.
Now for the 'chow mein'. Where do I start. It was dry, no juices of ANY kind. The chicken was barely noticeable. The noodles were over cooked. I'd say the overall dish compromised of, 92% stodgy noodles, 6% chicken and 2% bean sprouts(if that). Didn't notice any onion. I only managed 1/3 of that dish. Truly awful meal. Will never return.

Had an incredible Chinese meal from Chui Yuen last week! It was a busy Friday night, but I placed the order on the phone and I arrived to a warm welcome and everything was ready and hot.
The vegetarian selection was excellent. My gf is fully vegetarian and I try to eat more veggie options when I can. There was a great selection of meat alternative options so I could still order some favourites like sweet and sour (fake) chicken balls, as well as some vegetable-based dishes. All were amazing, my gf said it was the best vegetarian Chinese meal she'd ever had.
I even asked for a hot and sour soup knowing that it would not normally be vegetarian, but they were able to make a vegetarian version specially for me. So you can even get some special dishes if you ask! We also got some fortune cookies instead of prawn crackers!
Will definitely be going back for more, and to try the fish and chips too!

I was recommended by a friend to try out Oriental Inn Express, a Chinese take away. Upon arrival, I noticed that they were quite busy, indicating that they are popular. Hands down this is the best vegan Chinese food I’ve ever had. So many options it’s unreal! The salt & chilli chips are a top recommendation btw. They offer chow mein, rice dishes and plenty of main dishes. You can have a lot of regular dishes with vegan substitutes. When ordering, they always say it will take longer because it’s vegan and everything is cooked in separate pans to the non vegan food…this is music to my ears!
Overall I’m extremely impressed with their approach to vegan cuisine and further more the food tastes amazing. 10/10 highly recommended.

It's usually a reasonable takeaway which I've used several times but delivery/waiting times can be unacceptably poor when they're under pressure; over Christmas they kept saying my order (walk in) was nearly ready but it took a further hour and a half. Had they just been honest instead of stringing me along, I would've been more understanding. The prices are generally okay except for starters and sides: a portion of seaweed is so expensive that it's ridiculous. The horsd'ouevre option is too heavily bulked up with prawn toast. The staff are polite except when they get ratty with customers during the busiest periods, especially abrupt with customers asking what's happened with their deliveries. It has a four star hygiene rating which is acceptable but not great.

I was originally being happy to buy a bottle of spicy oil (OX chilli oil) and the price refer to that stock stack showed £1.99. When I head to the till to finish transaction and I found the price was much over £3.45! I tried to clarify by asking the till staff and two of them being impolitely to me and saying I had to check the price label carefully because the price label didnt mean the correct price of the product! How amazing this shopping experience it is.
This is absolutely misleading customers and they did not bear any accountability and responsibility. They just shift them to every customer!

Horrible! Overcooked chicken balls with gristle in them ! That were cooked in stale oil ! CHANGE YOUR OIL. IT'S PAST IT'S BEST !! Chow mein had the most strange horrible taste a bit like washing up liquid with some kind of soggy meat in it ,couldn't quite work out what the meat was ! The salt and pepper chips were soggy and tasted very bland no salt or pepper or spice on them , the chilli beef was ok, so all in all, I paid 30 quid for a portion of chili beef ! That was the only edible item ! Never again !!!

I can’t comment on service nor atmosphere as we got it delivered through Uber eats which I have no complained though due to receiving pink chicken balls 🙃 after spending nearly £30 I was definitely not expecting this disappointment we are still yet to find a Chinese place in MK that we will go to instead of traveling 40+mins to our usual Chinese’s restaurant

Used to be a regular, won’t be anymore. Food delivery incorrect, they did bring a replacement but it was spilling everywhere as was over filled. Meal ordered was dry with little sauce, and felt rushed. When I phoned and said items missing, the handler on the phone said the chef knew it was missing… why send it then, with no call etc?

Not for me at all, I ordered via Deliveroo and went off the pictures to be told “don’t listen to the pictures as they aren’t what we sell”
Prawn toast was soggy, noodles were thin ones (no option for think ones) seaweed was hard and chewy, kung po chicken….normally this is breaded chicken, sauce and nuts etc. they serve grilled chicken in some chilli sauce, nothing like most other places. All in all I was so up for a Chinese however I would give this a 1/5 unfortunately
