Compared to other Sichuan and Hunan restaurants in the city, the spice level here is much higher. Next time, I might ask for a milder . perhaps other Sichuan restaurants in town have toned down the heat ? Of course, as a Southerners, we don’t have much authority to judge the spiciness of authentic Sichuan cuisine. However, after the first bite, my tongue went completely numb, making it difficult to taste anything else. That being said, the dishes were well-cooked, with a aromatic flavor. Lam's Garden is the oldest Chinese restaurant in Central Florida and we were very lucky to dine at Lam's Garden on one of busiest day in the year.

Not the best I have eaten. Has traditional dishes like Egg Foo Young, Lo Mein, Beef With Broccoli. But also exotic dishes such as Duck Feet, Stir Fried Snail, and Pork Chitterlings. It was my first time at Chuan Lu Garden. It locates in downtown Orlando and actually you can dine in now. It is well decorated restaurant. We ordered 4 dishes based on the reviews. The La Zi Tofu (spicy tofu) was a deep fried tofu cubes but don't have that much flavor. The Cumin Lamb had too much cumins that were very hard to eat. The Rou Jia Mo (Chinese pork burger) was good but $7 just for a medium burger. And the sticky rice with lotus leaf is an OK too. My 7 year old son accidentally spilled an entire mango lassi from a large to-go cup right at the door way as we were leaving the restaurant. We were having one of those days...It made the most ridiculous mess I was quite distraught and annoyed with my son. 2 gentlemen came out to rescue and did not make us feel one bit of shame or guilt. They saw I was frustrated with my boy and asked me to please don't be annoyed with him because it is 100% an accident and can be easily fixed. It was not easily fixed, I saw they had to bring out a hose and the entire staff had to work to clean it. I am eternally grateful. It was a horrid mess as you can imagine orange yogurt splattered everywhere at the entrance, on walls, on their white table clothes and their carpet as well as where their customers would have to walk through as they stepped in. Perfectly fresh and a butter like texture. My main roll was the Double Spicy Salmon Roll. It was wonderfully fresh salmon, avocado, sriracha sauce topped with salmon, Serrano pepper, spicy mayo and wasabi tobiko. Normally such a busy roll isn't my jam, but this was phenomenal. My partner had the Salmon Roe (Ikura), the scallop special and the Freshwater Eel as nigiri. They reported back all were out of this world being fresh and wonderful. For their roll they enjoyed the Creamy Salmon, which was Shrimp tempura, avocado, cream cheese topped with torched creamy salmon, drizzled with eel sauce and spicy mayo. Having gotten to try one of these myself, It tastes perfectly like its name would imply and was amazing. In closing, I would suggest you run to Shin's next chance you're in the area. The sushi was good, tasted fresh, and rolled by an older lady who had also greeted us. I ordered Curry Chicken. It comes mild or spicy, with various vegetables and white rice. The flavors of the curry and veggies together came together nicely. The chicken was tender but not very flavorful. Probably just boiled without spices. My husband ordered Spicy Sesame chicken. It came with a round circle broccoli and rice as well. The breading on the chicken was PERFECT, the broccoli steamed but crunchy, and the Sesame seeds had a good flavor. The spiciness of the chicken was mild, which we were expecting hotter considering the amount of pepper flakes, but alas, it was not. Our meal total was just under $50. The meals, as you can see were larger enough to feed more than 2 people. Each was around $13.95 to 16.95 with the seafood dishes more expensive. As we left, I asked why there wasn't a buffet and he said "no people." I asked if it was because of Covid and he nodded. While the food was phenomenal it is a nice place and great service. Parking is ok considering they are at the end of a busy plaza and have several.catering vehicles taking up spots. I would recommend thos.place for a nice Chinese dinner and perhaps a quick sushi roll.

I think it was better before. The Kung Pao shrimp and the chicken with cashews tastes exactly the same.
