Had high hopes but they were quickly dashed when the grid owner/host greeted us with a pedestrian bon soir. Maybe this is why the wait staff and bus man alike seem basically miserable. Frogs legs were fine served with 4 dinky slices of baguette. When we asked for a few more slices of bread, a upcharge. Then they try to swindle you out of a $10 up charge to share a meal. When we differed with the waiter, they got indignant and went to the (obviously) Belgian owner. She came back an he obviously told the waiter they would have to pay it for miscommunication of the sharing charge. I can’t recall going any restaurant where the owner treated you like you should feel lucky to be eating in his mediocre establishment. The Moroccan entree with cous cous and merguez lamb sausage were fairly bland. I think most of the patrician PS crowd deserve better.

Our server Tristan was fantastic. Every aspect of our dining was excellent. From the ambiance to the cocktails and the food we couldn’t be happier with giving this place a try. We ordered the hamachi crudo and scallops as an appetizer. The scallops were so very good! For our main course we had filet mignon and duck and both were cooked to perfection. The sandwich was large and the fries FANTASTIC (super crispy yet meaty). The two crab cakes were flattened but large and delicious. They come with an aggressively dressed mixed green salad with white balsamic and a single beer battered onion ring that is filled with a dill tartar sauce/aioli. Highly recommend eating the onion ring first otherwise it gets soggy and if you’re not a heavy-dressed salad person, then ask for lighter dressing or on the side. The Quiche Lorraine was so scrumptious, husband was savoring every mouthful. The side salad was so delicious, the dressing must be a secret recipe as it was so light and refreshing leaving my taste buds wanting more. Everything about this dish was so tasteful and well presented for a side walk cafe. We topped it with the tastiest Madeline, accompanied by a real flat-white in a real coffee cup. As we searched for a wine tasting bar that fit our schedule, we came across Jalama Wines, a boutique wine tasting shop, on Yelp. We starting planning a year ago.
