But while driving around on a Sunday evening, we decided to give it a try. I really like the concept of being served one of their menu item hamburgers and then being able to add fresh toppings and condiments from the serving bar. My wife and I both ordered the bacon cheeseburger - her's with onion rings and mine with fries. She only added onions from the topping bar but I loaded mine up with onions, lettuce, pickles and tomato. Since we ordered "to go", I grabbed ketchup, ranch and Bobby's sauce from the condiment station. We were staying about five minutes away so the burgers were still hot and fresh. She was pleased with her onion rings but I was less impressed with the fries. The taste was OK but they were a bit soggy and I don't think that was due to our order being takeout. Service was very friendly and helpful. Both of us would definitely order from Cheeseburger Bobby's again.

The business hours are clearly visible on Google. It's 7:39PM on a Saturday. The doors are locked and the workers are breaking down the toppings counter as I type. Mind you the hours posted online say open to 9PM. This has now happened multiple times. They close earlier, often way earlier then posted. We try to be regular customers but the unknown hours makes it hard. At this point just update your hours to say open for lunch only. Atleast this will save ppl time and effort in the evening/dinner hours. Very unfortunate.

My fries were pale with no seasonings and my toast was burnt solid black. My chicken tenders were also yet again the size of nuggets. When I called the manager from home and explained everything she said to bring it back for a replacement. When I got back there all they wanted to do was give me seasoning salt and a new piece of toast. I had to explain the fries were also old and soggy so after going back and forth they eventually gave me new fries. They never gave me new chicken. All this for a big zax snak meal. It's like they don't care that I paid my money for this meal. I'm not a fan of this location. I've been here a few times and the food is lacking. The customer service is not there either. The chicken tenders I received are more like nuggets, and you guys are charging me for a full meal. I just stood up front trying to get an extra sauce and the lady completely ignored me. This zaxbys also doesn't have any of the normal decorations on the wall. I won't be back to this location.

It gives Steak and Shake vibes, but better. We had the Grilled Cheese Steakburger meal with the onion rings instead of fries, the Original Bacon and Cheese Double with chili cheese fries, and cheese curds. Everything we got was freshly made and served so hot we had to wait for it to cool off before even tasting, which is never a bad thing. In the world of drivethrus, it is on the expensive side, but I feel like the portion size and quality of food warrants the cost. And we ate inside, the place was immaculately clean and organized. First impression is outside parking lot needs a major cleanup and pressure washing. Looks like a neglected KFC from the 1970’s, very depressing. Trash everywhere, no maintenance done on landscape, just very sad looking. Luckily the inside of the restaurant was much cleaner. When I came in there were no guests but all of the employees I could see were either prepping food or cleaning. They had some coupons for several items and the young lady that was cleaning offered to help me ring up at the counter instead of the self-order kiosk. According to the receipt her name was Tammy; very friendly and helpful, and stayed busy the whole time I was there. I ordered the 8 piece bucket meal deal which is normally $29 but with coupon was only $18.99 which is a heck of a deal, comes with 8 pieces of chicken, two large sides and 4 biscuits. I also ordered 4 of the apple fritter desserts or whatever they’re called (I actually ordered the strawberries and crème cheese ones but apparently they don’t have those anymore so they gave me apple, which if I had known I wouldn’t have ordered them, they tasted ok but not something I would order again). Got my order and got home, everything was fine, chicken was good and cole slaw was good as usual, biscuits were not exactly fresh but I came between lunch and dinner so I didn’t expect perfection! Only food issues I had was the gravy for the mashed potato’s was very watery and definitely not the thick brown gravy I am used to and expect, tasted bland and that was a big letdown because that’s my favorite item at KFC (wish they would bring back the “chicken little” sandwiches, those are the best! Anyway overall the food was good except for the gravy and switching out the apple fritters, but I was very impressed with the customer service of Tammy and how all the employees were looking busy and productive, also how rapidly my food was served. So this review should probably be lower but I gave it 4 stars basically due to the employees, otherwise: 5 stars for customer service and interior, 3 for food, 2 for exterior cleanliness. Not sure if I’ll come back here but I will give kudos the the management for having friendly and productive employees. Spend some money on the exterior, I almost didn’t go inside because the outside is so ugly and depressing. I have never been that way about a place but it looked like a place in the slums in the early 70’s. Bummer dude’s!
