We dined here for our anniversary and although it was a Saturday night, it wasn't busy. Three hostesses ignored us as we walked in but then then we when one greeted us they were very friendly. We say at our table for close to 10 minutes before they put it together that we didn't have a server. Our server was super nice and obviously still learning, and overall she did a good job. But also she was unknowledgeable. She took our order and brought us bread before we had cocktails. When I asked about the catch of the day she said Bass (I think) to which I responded hmm I don't know anything about it and she said "well other customers seem to like it". I asked how it was prepared and she responded "there's a plate of pasta and the fish is on top." At that point I just move on and ordered the steak. I thinks he would be an excellent server with some training as she was very pleasant. The calamari appetizer was really good, but I did wish it was on a bed of sauce rather than tossed in it. The bread and oil was excellent. Both of our meals (lamb chops and ribeye) had good flavor combinations and presentation but were executed poorly. The lamb was rare and the steak was med well. It had great food, a great atmosphere and great service. We got a pizza, the lobster bisque and a salad. The soup was huge and I’d definitely recommend sharing it since it’s so rich, as is characteristic of lobster bisque. It has great flavor, although if you’re expecting a lobster bisque with lobster chunks this won’t have that. The bread and dipping oil was delicious and the oil has several little sections of things: crushed red pepper, garlic and Parmesan. Both of our salads (the Caesar and the Halsey’s salad) were amazing. The Halsey’s was so flavorful with the feta, mandarin oranges and dressing adding a great combo of flavors. The pizza was very good out of their wood fire grill. We also had their Margarita, which was absolutely delicious with all fresh flavors and none of that “mix” taste. If you’re in the area I’d definitely recommend making a stop here. They have a good selection of food for an array of budgets: from pizzas and salads to full dinner entrees (that also looked phenomenal even though we got the lighter meals).

There were quite a few guests inside. We were able to walk here from the Ramada in Geneva but parking would have been no trouble as parking is free for 2 hours in the street. In the summer time I could see that parking may become sparse. I ordered the grilled vegetable lasagna and I highly recommend it. My friend was jealous and wished she got it over the salmon - she did enjoy her salmon though. The bread was a little cold but the olive oil with garlic, red pepper, balsamic, and Parmesan were an incredible combination! For wine they had a lovely Malbec on the menu from Chile by the glass and dessert was a special of lemon rolled cake with raspberry whipped filling. It was phenomenal! Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting the finger lakes / Geneva.

It is a little tight inside with space but overall it comfortable. The portions are large and very reasonably priced. I made the mistake of getting the half portion of the biscuits and gravy along with half a fritata and it was an immense meal. My wife went with the omelet and it didnt disappoint either. The sausage gravy was delicious and the biscuits were a nice consistency, not too dense. They were very diligent on their coffee service sport some very nice mugs for sale. All in all a very family friendly spot to grab a good breakfast in the area.

Found this one open and since we like diner style restaurants, we took a chance. They were very busy but we got seated quickly and also waited on quickly. Great value for the breakfast options and so delicious! Found out we could purchase the breads so since we enjoyed the raisin bread we both bought a loaf to take home. We loved the good size coffee mugs and the frequent refills. Highly recommend this place if you're in Geneva.

They said they’d do something “extra special” to celebrate her. Course 1: soup. We upgraded to the French onion. It looked like French onion with the melted cheese but when you broke through the broth was…clear. They didn’t use beef broth. It was vaguely chicken flavored onion soup, which is terrible. Yuck. Course 2: salad. The Caesar was perfectly average with an oily dressing that tastes like it came out of a bottle. The description lists it as “creamy.” It also lists cherry tomatoes and grated Parmesan and those weren’t around either. My wife had the berry spinach salad. The raspberry “vinaigrette” was heavy, and cloyingly sweet. Again, tasted bottled. There were no candied pecans. Course 3: I got the burrata pasta. The pasta was fine but the chicken was so dried out it was uneatable. My wife got the got the flank steak. It was nearly too tough to eat. And the “chimichurri”?! It tasted like boxed frozen spinach thawed and smeared on top of the steak. It tasted like sadness and loneliness. This supposedly came with sautéed balsamic glazed pearl onions which ended up tasting like frozen and microwaved pearl onions. The brown butter whipped sweet potatoes were just regular mashed sweet potatoes reheated and served using an ice cream scoop. Is this what eating in a nursing home is going to be like for us someday?? It is, isn’t it?? Course 4: dessert. My wife got the chocolate torte cake - it tasted like it was basically a piece of fudge: super sweet. I got the churro cake, which was decent though a touch stale. Bread: lovely! Came with 3 house made butters - by far the best thing they serve there. I imagine it’s embarrassed by the other food. When I went to the restroom, I saw that the plates are brought from wherever the kitchen is located and set in the little hallway near the dining room with those little clear steam covers you see on hospital meals. Wine pairing: fine. Except they forgot the wine with the dessert. Service: I honestly couldn’t tell you who our server was at this place. There was a woman who came over when we were first seated and took our order – I’m guessing it was her. We didn’t see her for so long that we had to ask another server for water. We really really hope the tip we left was split with everyone who served our table. The entire experience took nearly 2.5 hours. My Caesar salad came out next.. or should I say a heaping pile of cheese (no joke!!) with a few pieces of lettuce and bone dry of dressing. How do you screw up a Caesar salad?!! My hubs got the Delmonico- cooked medium rare.. it came out well and his mashed potatoes had this awful crust over them like they had been sitting for hours. My salmon was equally as bad.. Burt to a crisp on the outside (see picture) and RAW on the inside (I should have taken a picture!) I wanted to cry. They remade our food.. which we did not get until 9pm, steak was still overdone, potatoes were better, salmon was cooked ok. We got dessert on the house.. donut cheesecake- it was horrible and a lemon cream cake, not bad. The next morning we went for continental breakfast and our table from the night before was just as we left it complete with dirty dishes. disgusting! The server was nice enough, the manager felt bad. I should have read the other reviews before going there because the negatives are 100% accurate. The following morning we had continental breakfast.. we got there at 9:40, they closed at 10. There was 1 muffin, 1 bagel, 3 cranberry juices floating in a tub of water and a bunch of packaged donuts. The circuit popped when attempting to toast the bagel.

We arrived excited to try this place, only to be told they couldn’t seat us (not once but twice at different locations) not because the dining room was full, but because the kitchen was backed up. No waitlist, no estimate, just a vague “we’re not seating anyone right now.” It’s frustrating to be turned away when tables are visibly open and staff seem unsure how to handle the situation. I found this place on line and based on reviews decided on it for our destination. WOW….what a great decision. I had called ahead and asked about seating a larger group on a Football Sunday and when we got there Shelby had reserved a table for us. She was doing multiple duties but she was fantastic. Personable, funny and attentive. The food was outstanding. Not 1 complaint out of the seven of us. This place is definitely in our top 5 places to return to many times. Loved the vibe, the food, the service and the prices are great. Kudos to the owner for keeping this place just as it should be.

Right off 5&20 roughly across from Speedway. Got there at 8:30pm and was able to order food which I am grateful due to only a few customers there. Just a basic fish sandwich with a side of slaw. Washed it down with a pint of Coors Light. Bill was $10. Then found out cash only, no biggie. There’s an ATM there. Felt like a good place to meet people but has been forgotten. Bartender states has “died” off over the last couple years. There’s a touch screen jukebox, pool table, and in a well lit spacious area, I didn’t see the whole place. I’m in my forties and it just feels like a good place to be. Looking forward to going back! Maybe this post could bring Ronnie’s back to life a little bit!!
