The BBQ sauce: Entirely different from Texas BBQ sauce. This was my first Tennessee BBQ sauce experience, so I don't feel I can give an experienced review on it. "Hot" is hotter in Texas. Now, the homemade fried pies. They seemed baked, not fried, but maybe they weren't fried very long. Go ahead and try these out. If the dough were a little thicker, they'd been pretty close to tasting like my great-grandmother's homemade fried pies. They're good. It's definitely a BBQ place to stop in for a visit. Our waitress was exceptional, very kind, prompt, not lingering but always available. There was a small mixup with one of the sides and she right on it, correcting it. Their food is fantastic, the jalapeño burger was amazing! Never had a bad meal and the service is great. Our only complaint is the smell of smoking. It’s not overwhelming but definitely takes away from the experience. I’m curious why they still allow this as the majority of people in there were not smoking and I’ve seen it mentioned in other reviews. We started with Mac n Cheese bites. Served hot. Our dinner did take quite a long time to get to the table. I could tell the waitress was stressing that it wasn’t coming out. She returned to our table to make sure our drinks were full and apologized for it taking so long. I was just getting ready to ask for the salad and appetizers bill when our food came out. (65 minutes) I had the Honey Bourbon Salmon, zucchini and rice…rice was a little cool but the rest was served hot with pretty good flavor. My husband had the shrimp and catfish which ok. We went to the bar to check out and our waitress comped our appetizer for the wait. A gentleman at the bar said that ever since Covid it hasn’t been the same and always short staffed. I’m given them the benefit of the doubt. I own a restaurant and been thru ups and downs. I do suggest that they work on the inside building esthetic. Hope things turn for the better.

The first screen you see is your total, and the 3 suggested tips, the lowest being 18% of your order total. If you want to pay a custom amount, or just less than the suggested, which I absolutely did want to, you have to change the amount through the custom menu while your waiter watches, surrounded by whoever else is around you. After you do that, then you insert/swipe your own card while the waiter is still holding the portable system in front of you. I caved and was guilted into a standard tip because I just wanted to get out of there, but once again. the service was awful! Maybe this was an off night for the restaurant or maybe it was specifically one individuals fault, but because of the payment/tipping process, I decided to mention this in a review in hopes that the very minimum, they find a solution to that awful payment system.

The only flavor I got from my whole meal was the old batter on the fish…It’s sad when the sides are better than the entrees. It was also very pricey ESPECIALLY for what you get! There was only one other table with people at it and it was very unwarming/unwelcoming inside. We had to pay over $30 for just the two of us to not even like what we got.
