Sports on the multiple TV screens, music in the background that is not invasive. Layout is pretty cool with a second level and balcony. Lower level doesn't have a lot of space but plenty of more tables on the upper level. I am sure in peak season this place will be packed. A glass of chardonnay has been delivered and is ice cold (and delicious). Ordered the "Tommy Want Wingy".....a pound of wings Buffalo style. I like it spicy. There are two other options available as well less spicy for those of you with milder tongues. The wings are the most expensive thing on the menu and that is only $200 pesos so this is an inexpensive restaurant. Let's dig into the wings. Tender and juicy wings. I find them a little mild heat wise but as mentioned earlier I really like spicy so my taste is skewed. For the average person these would be spicy. Flavor wise they are amazing. Tantalizing the taste buds and making you want more. It is a great Buffalo style wing. I received 8 large wings which compares to a typical pound of wings. There is plenty of sauce tossed on the wings, they are, according to the owners, baked for two hours then fried before being tossed in the sauce of your choice. The flavor and texture of these wings tells me he is honest. I met the owner briefly and he confirmed the cooking method noted above and it is straight up how they do it. It is nice when the owner will walk around the restaurant and check in on how peoples meals and service are. That makes me extra impressed. Overall result? 5.5 out of 5. This is a must stop by when you are in Bucerias. Soft, slow playing jazz music in the background, lush greenery and stone walls make for a welcoming and relaxing environment. The plastic chairs are a bit cheesy though. Lunch menu gives a good selection with plenty of salads, appetizers and sandwiches to choose from. The wine menu is equally good with lots of reds and whites from various regions. Overall a good first impression. Ordered the steak sandwich. Fries are well seasoned. I hate boring fries and these do not disappoint at all. A1 sauce, ketchup, mustard and hot sauce (the hot sauce is actually hot!!! And delicious) all came to the table as well. I only used the hot sauce 😁. I took a small piece of the steak off to taste it on its own and it is a good cut, juicy and tender. Excellent flavour. The bun is grilled but still soft in the middle. Sautéed onions are well done and pack excellent flavour. As far as the sandwich goes as a whole it is well put together with generous flavour. To top it all off the price is very reasonable at $180 pesos. Service was excellent. The waiter was attentive without hovering and very responsive when I needed something. I am very impressed and will be back before I go home to Canada. The reason for the 4 star rating rather than 5 stars is the plastic chairs and my sandwich was supposed to come with sautéed mushrooms but there are none on it. Bands typically play at 5 and 9 pm daily in the high season. Lots of Canadians can be found here regularly with many of the same people going to see their favorite bands weekly.
