Very attentive staff, particularly Charlotte who waited our table. So friendly and chatty. Gave us plenty of space for our little ones and also were patient with us when choosing. We were left to relax in each other’s company for nearly 4 hours! Christmas songs playing and the decorations up, it definitely felt like the start of Christmas festivities. Interesting menu and drinks selections. The food was certainly nice and I was very appreciative for them accommodating my fussy dietary requirements! But perhaps on the pricey side for what it is. Great atmosphere and decor. Nice and quiet despite being right by a busy roundabout. All the staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough for me especially as I wasn’t able to check in until very late. Only ate breakfast which was delicious and freshly cooked so it’s definitely not ‘fast food’ which I prefer and got to enjoy a fabulous latte which waiting. Great service. The staff are sensitive , on the ball and clearly keen to make such an important personal event just as our family needed so we could say , "yes that went well and we did him proud". The area was well laid out and the use of a screen provided was an added bonus to share photos of Dad's life. The speakers for the restaurant music were turned off in our area so that we could play Dad's favourites with our own speaker and this leant another way to reflect on him and was very much appreciated. The area we had reserved for us was elegant , cosy and comfortable with a lovely table for s to decorate and add a memory book, there was a roaring log fire as promised. The food was attractively laid out and everyone commented on the quality of it as being fresh and flavourful , particularly the chicken skewers which were a huge hit. Several of our party said they would like to return there for a meal.The manager so came to check everything was as we wanted before going off of his shift. He had been very helpful in helping us organise the food and everything else at a sad and stressful time for us . Thankyou so much, to him and his team. I highly recommend The Inn on The Lake. I would just add constructively for the future a sign indicating that there is a ramp to the left of the steep steps on the right, facing the building would be beneficial. I hadn't thought to tell our guests and some of my relatives struggled with the steep steps unnecessarily. They did not see the ramp as they entered the car park and parked. Bare in mind on a Saturday evening there was only a small amount of tables.when the food arrived half of the meal was quite nice (pie and the burger) but the two fish and chips we had were one of the worst we have ever had. My son had a completely burnt batter and inside was undercooked batter which didnt go down well.the servers were very friendly But even the dessert at the end (the lemon tart) had strange micro herbs which didnt complement the tarts acidic nature.overall not a great experience but we did get bits of the bill of which was a nice birthday gift

The pub is currently closed looking sad and is falling apart. A lot of investment needs to happen here for this pub to thrive, which with the brewery's current and past performance seems unlikely. It would be very hard for this pub to be viable now , given that the newly very highly refurbished "The Ragged Robin" up the road in Meadrow is now open selling Draught beer cheaper than the 3 lions was ( cant be helped by the Tenant dur to tied wholesale prices) . I wish any ingoing Tenant the best of luck here. Its very sad and I truly hope this pub survives but in order to do so, heavy negotiation needs to be made with the Brewery for it to be a viable business!

Very friendly staff and quick service despite the restaurant being super busy. Really convenient location right in the town centre and close to the local theatre for a pre show meal. Food was great quality, had chicken wings and duck fries which were really tasty and the brunch burger was huge and delicious. Juices are fresh and well made. Can pay your bill online after using qr code on the table so no waiting around when you finish.

He did eventually warm up and could’ve just been having a day. I try to give others grace-within reason. I was sat right in front of a cart with glasses that clanked loudly when the servers would handle them. Upon entering, I requested a seat at one of the booths in the main area, yet the server (the man) stated that whole section was reserved. My only critique is to have large reservations in a separate area, or some sort of demarcation/sign for clarification. The food was a bit cool, though since it’s Lent season and I’m fasting from 0600-1800, I went ahead and ate it as was. Additionally about the food, the sauce (고추장 gochujang) for the sticky duck salad and Korean loaded fries had too much sugar. I recommend having all sauces on the side for the customer to decide how much they want on their meal. Ultimately, I would dine here again, though not as my first choice.

From the moment we checked in, we felt completely at ease. The service from the staff was exceptional special thanks to Diana and Leo, who were incredibly attentive and made us feel truly looked after throughout our stay. Our room was excellent and catered perfectly to our needs, which made our short break all the more enjoyable. The only small downside was at breakfast. While the full English was delicious, the portion of beans was surprisingly tiny it looked as though they’d been served in a mustard ramekin, with only around ten beans! Thankfully, Leo was quick to bring out more from the kitchen and assured us he would raise it with the chef. The continental selection, although tasty, could benefit from a wider choice and more inviting presentation for example, cereal dispensers, bread, a toaster, fresh fruit (beyond just a fruit salad), muffins, or a few extra pastries would really enhance the offering. Overall, these were very minor points in what was otherwise a wonderful stay. A huge thank you again to the fantastic staff we will most definitely be returning!

Gets to 8pm and still not out for delivery. Tried to call several times to follow up and no one picked up the phone at any point. Gets to 9pm and the order is marked as delivered when it hasn’t been, we try and call again to no avail. We then eventually receive an order at 9.10pm, 2 hours past original delivery time and none of the items were what we ordered so sent back. We then needed to travel into the store at 9.15pm as no one was answering the phone, to issue the refund. There was mention between the team of us being ‘trouble makers’ when we always endeavour to treat anyone fairly and we ensured we were being reasonable whilst also communicating the situation. We eventually had a refund issued, however we now have to wait 5 days for this to be returned. We then had to go to the shops to get dinner in, luckily there were places still open. We have used this domino’s over the past 1-2 years and have always recommended it due to its efficient, friendly and quality service. The food was delicious, almost every guest asked where the food was from and we had lots of empty plates! I was told it would be fine. On getting there I ordered the bruschetta and prawn linguine. One of my allergies was Rapeseed oil. Turns out everything is cooked with that. We ordered large fish and chips today, and it was the worst fish i have ever had. Didi and his team were so hospitable, they really made sure that we were well looked after throughout the entire stay. They answered my many questions in the run up to the stay and couldn’t have made us feel more welcome. The rooms were spotless and the bed was really comfortable. The food was as amazing, I have eaten there numerous times now, having breakfast, lunch and dinner. You can really tell they use high quality ingredients and produce a really diverse menu, with options for everyone and their tastes. All the family and friends that were with us had a great stay too, and also commented on the warmth of staff and great food! The bar staff are all lovely with a great selection of drinks too, and all the staff who helped us throughout the stay were wonderful.
