He’s also a regular guest, and we both keep returning for one main reason: the service. I want to give a special mention to Steve, the manager. We had a gorgeous Sunday roast - every course was spot on. From the starters right through to dessert, the food was consistently great. I have not encountered one who was not helpful. With that said if you are looking for a quiet retreat DO NOT GO HERE. Two nights of blaring music until midnight. One might say that’s not late but if you are up early and on the go all day it’s very late. Had I been informed of this, prior to my arrival I would have chosen a different hotel. We were told about the first night therefore was prepared but two nights in a row not getting to sleep until after midnight is exhausting. Overall a beautiful quiant, boutiquey hotel with a strong history and stunning location. The staff were super friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Curtis who was helping at our work event and was so kind and brought us lots of extra chairs at our request with no bother what so ever. He was really polite and helpful. Also shout out to Tyler who was serving the 2 days I had the breakfast buffet. He was so lovely and always provided service with a smile, he even remembered that I didn't take tea or coffee. I saw him managing stack loads of plates and cutlery so gracefully and elegantly. He spoke and interacted so beautifully with guests and even gave a guest a heads up when she was about to leave her phone behind. Personal touches of care and concern like that go a long way and don't go unnoticed. What an asset to the the hotel! Now, on to things that can be done differently. The lift was out of order which meant staying at room 202 right by the entrance to the corriader of the 2nd floor and by the stairs I was in for a super disturbed 2nd night, with patters of foot steps constantly waking me up, late into the night & early morning. Also the walls are quite thin I imagine as it's an old building so you can completely hear the whole phone convo your neighbour is having and get woken up by their wake up calls too. Also the way the bathroom areas are set up in the rooms, the water spills over to the toilet area which is super annoying and takes a while to dry. I was really careful to close the shower door properly and even placed the towel mat on the floor but it still happened. Lastly, for how high end it is I was disappointed not to have any moisturiser in the bathroom/room even though there was moisturiser in the ladies toilets near the restaurant. Including it in the rooms would align nicely with the hotel’s high-end, luxury feel. I'm currently choosing a hotel for my next trip to Richmond in a few weeks, if the Richmond Hill can take my well intended feedback on board, it will be a strong contender and I'll be sure to recommend it.

We stayed in the suite for the 2 nights which I can not fault and is a beautiful room. All of the staff are excellent , especially those who directly looked after us. They worked very hard, on one of the hottest days of the year - especially with so many small children present. We also had a buffet which was very good. I noticed that many of the tables in the main dining area were reserved, this pub clearly has a very good reputation for good food and an excellent beer/wine selection. Myself & my partner live locally & are regulars at many shops in richmond. We were having a lovely day when we popped in here. We were the only customers in the shop so all their focus was on us. We held a fantastic party for 70 people at The Wharf recently. It was a great experience on so many levels. This is a perfect venue. Light, spacious, well appointed and a truly great location right on The Thames. The owner, Barbara, and all the staff did a great job to ensure it was a huge culinary success - from agreeing to a bespoke selection of canapés and dishes to the preparation and service of absolutely delicious food (we have since had amazing feedback from our attendees!). There was a choice of a six course tastings menu or the a la carte menu. We opted for the a la carte menu because everything on it looked good. As starters we choose the wood pigeon and the goat cheese tortellini both were exceptional. While we were waiting for the starters we were given cheese profiterol as an amuse bouche. The main courses were Hake with olive oil mash and pork cheek with gratin potatoes again, both tasted wonderful and the presentation was exceptional. We shareda white chocolate pana cotta for dessert. Pana cotta is my favourite dessert and it was the best one I've ever had (and I've had a lot). The dinning area is beautiful with panoramic views over the Thames and the service was first class. I highly recommend the Bingham.

No choice of bottled drinks as well. My partner was off the cider and had been enjoying WKD's for the past couple of weekends, but had no choice at The Winning Post. Like all pubs owned by Greene King, overpriced. Breakfast on the 20th: A very unenjoyable experience. The woman host, before we got to the table booking part, because their was 2 children in front of us, not ours, said we will have to pay for breakfast as a family of four was not booked. Had to clarify we were a couple with a pre-paid contienental breakfast, she apologised. Had to ask for extra condiments as the food table ones had been used, again the host responded with an uuugh when I approached her. Also, as we had a late food slot, Premier Inn's slots, and were the last ones, the host said I have to turn this dining room around within an hour for a Wake. The chef on the morning was wearing a t-shirt saying prefer dogs to people. Premier Inn excellent location for Twickenham, but maybe eat elswhere than The Winning Post, which is a shame as it is ideally located for a stay at the Premier Inn.
