The place is decorated nicely, the service friendly and most importantly the food I ate was delicious, hot and fresh. The Loaf was on the way and had great reviews. We stumbled across The Loaf and bagged a table outside but in the shade. We decided on something sweet; a scone with cream and jam, and a slice of Victoria sponge cake. The menu read like a fine dining restaurant, but the attention to detail didn’t seem to be there. We were greeted by a polite waitress who seated us. It then seemed a while until we were offered drinks. We finally ordered drinks but we had been sat for 35 minutes until we received our first drinks. We then ordered our food. Upon asking the waitress about how best to order the food and whether we could order small plates as starters and large plates as mains, she was unsure and had to ask another member of staff. From how the menu was written this seemed like a pretty ordinary way to order but we wanted to make sure. We ordered a small plate each and a large plate each. The menu stated that large plates came with 2 sides but this wasn’t offered any additional sides. We ordered one side each but I got the feeling that the waitress was unaware that large plates were supposed to come with 2 sides, as we heard another waiter offer this to a nearby table. We both ordered scallops as a starter and asked if one could have lardons removed to make it pescatarian, to which the waitress said this was fine. She even read our order back to make sure she had it right. We waited another 25 minutes until we received our starters, making it an hour before we had any food in front of us. When the scallops arrived both dishes had lardons removed. When I made the waiter aware he seemed a bit flustered and was going to go back to the kitchen (without the dish) to see what went wrong. At this point we just wanted to eat and didn’t want to wait ages for it to be rectified, so we just let it be and said it’s ok. The scallops were lacklustre. They didn’t have much of a sear on them and overall seemed undercooked (one on my partners plate was verging on inedible). The peas were clearly of the freezer aisle variety. We then received our mains after what seemed like another longish wait afterwards. The pig cheeks were ok if not a little dry. The first thing we noticed about the prawns was that they were scorching hot, too hot to eat straight away, which meant they were a bit over cooked. They tasted a bit earthy which makes me think they weren’t deveined and the garlic was quite over powering. The menu described them coming with toasted focaccia but we received what resembled more like cheap garlic bread. We also ordered leek croquettes. These were ok, but a little bit heavy on the mustard. One concern as a food worker myself is that the menu didn’t state that they contained mustard which is a main group allergen. I know the menu states at the top to make aware of allergens as the kitchen can’t guarantee no nuts but I feel such a mustard heavy course should probably make some mention. The drinks were ok, the negroni actually particularly nice which was a good saving factor (even though when I ordered, the waiter asked if I wanted a small or a large which I have never been asked before. I then witnessed the confusion between the other waitresses/bar staff when he put the order in). The general feel was that the restaurant was either understaffed or that some of the waiting staff weren’t really trained as well as they could have been, which I believe comes from the top down and is no fault of the waiting staff themselves. They were really polite but there just seemed to be a bit of an air of confusion and didn’t give a feel of a well oiled machine. We decided not to have any desserts as it was getting a little late. 3 stars for service wasn’t for anything the staff did wrong. As mentioned I believe it is due to the restaurant manager/owner or whoever is responsible for training not being thorough enough. The food seemed to lack care/passion/attention to detail. Overall it wasn’t the experience we expected when we found the restaurant online.

We had high hopes,but left a bit disappointed. First off we did mention it being our anniversary when booking but were seated on a poor table and left looking at others sat at the nice tables. The brownie was quite poor, probably on the same level as the one I had at Wetherspoons, and the baked cheesecake was overcooked. We decided to finish with a cheese platter to share but this just finished the disappointing meal. This was served straight from the fridge. The whipped butter was too hard to spread and the cheese was too cold to have much flavour. With the drinks, we ordered a bottle of pinot noir (costing £55). This was served at too warm temperature, rather than a 15-18C that I would expect, especially for a more expensive bottle. With the atmosphere, they had a singer in there for live music. The style of music didn’t suit the type of restaurant and the singer was average at best. The saving grace was that the staff were friendly and attentive. Overall I wouldn’t look to return as we left rather deflated for what was our planned quality anniversary meal.

The manager's behaviour was pompous and arrogant, being extremely disrespectful and condescending in his communication when asked about the menu. A warm welcome from Maruf and looked after wonderfully by a young lady was a great start. When the food came it was all delicious. Not once when booking did they mention there was no Sri lanken food yet and they don't have an alcohol licence. Arrived at 7 for our booking. Seated at a very dirty table, not laid up. Everyone after eating was leaving but nobody bothered cleaning the tables they just stood in the back. A young lad was sent out to deal with complaints instead of owners the poor thing, he was the only reason we left a tip. They asked another table to leave a review to which he was told I don't Thi k you'd like our review. Food was sent back but they did get free desserts. Our main when it arrived was ok but it was only pizza so can't really go wrong. Service awful but food when arrived ok, nothing memorable. I just really hope they focus on the Sri lanken food only and get training for the front of house staff. It felt like Fawlty Towers so I was shocked to hear they had been open 3 weeks. Such a shame.

The shop is located on the main shopping area, Mostyn St, in Llandudno and is easy to find by its canopy adjacent to the bus stop. It has two sides to the premises. Service was great, loads of staff, possibly too many but still, all were happy and helpful and very engaging yet not in your face! We ordered 3 drinks, 1 earl grey and 2 milkshakes, given the presentation of the site we thought maybe a shake would have been something quite thick with cream and sauce etc but no....it was just milk and flavour....akin to a nesquick. Can only speak as I find but nice welcome when we arrived service was excellent with our waiter being attentive and genuine. Whilst there was no children's menu, they had smaller portions of the adults' meal. The food was extremely well presented and very nice. A great selection of vegetarian meals to choose from on the menu but also lots of different delicious cakes to have. The venue is clean, tables all sanitised after every visit and there are clear screens between all the tables indoors. The staff are friendly and Emma our waitress, as well as having a beautiful smile was very helpful, efficient and got our order to us without any issues. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

It is a lovely room, shower was amazing, fab views of the sea/beach ⛵ etc... after a great night's sleep every morning greeted by Adam for Our breakfast, Full English & great continental variety, trust me the Full English was amazing, Mondays Evening meal Ste had The Seafood Carbonara he said it was delicious, I had the Belly Pork on a bed of Leek infused Mash, carrots & Thyme Gravy, was so nice. Puddings are lovely too, we only had dessert the first night though Tuesday evening meal We both had the Steak Pie with chunky chips,Carrots, broccoli stem & Gravy, omg the homemade pies fantastic. Wednesday meal We both had the Lilly Burger meal and Oh Wow it was fabulous, we have both said the best burger we've ever tasted. In fact I myself will say All the food at The Lilly has been Divine, the Chefs Dale & Paul hats off to you both and thank you so much. And a big thank you to Adam, Roxanne & Lee for such an amazing service, nothing is too much trouble, you are so attentive, friendly and work so hard thank you all so much, made a great birthday treat. The view and the interior were lovely. Menu was limited - sadly we couldn’t find any chicken dishes (not in a sandwich). I ordered beef brisket - it was served as a sandwich in between two ciabatta slices. It was soft, but the taste was sweet due to the chutney, and very disgusting due to the blue cheese. It wasn’t specified clearly, so I was hoping this cheese would be served separately and I just wouldn’t eat it, but nope, it was inside. The taste was very very bad. And the price was £14. Chips were served without any sauce, and no sauce was offered by the staff. So, it was very dry. Coffee was very bad and sour, had to ask for some milk to mix it together. Pavlova dessert for £8.50 was my biggest disappointment. It should be called micro-Pavlova. It’s the tiniest Pavlova I’ve ever seen, and so overpriced! Overall, can’t recommend - neither for the drinks, nor especially for food. Service charge 10% was already included into the price.

We told the gentleman upon entering that we had a reservation for 2 people. He did not show us to our table he pointed over to the corner and mumbled. There was 2 tables and we didn't know which one we should sit at so just choose one. After being in for only a few moments the guy that had pointed to the corner came over, didn't speak just stared. I asked him to give us a few minutes as we hadn't even looked at the menu. When he came back we ordered the cheapest items on the menu which were pizzas. To say they were disappointing, I've had better pizza's from Aldi and they were cheaper. We definitely will not be going back and will not recommend this to anyone.
