Highly recommended by Ledditors and IMO...pretty warranted. Our waitress, a middle aged white lady, was awesome. She was funny and took care of us. Food is pretty kickass, we had the grilled wings with Wango Habernero and Jerk. Sauce on the side which was great. Wings were tender, had a nice light smokey flavor and were big. Cooked very nicely through with decent char. I had the two meat combo plate with St.Louis Ribs and Brisket, Mac n Cheese and Baked Beans as the sides. Ribs were good, they come unsauced which I like. They have a bottle of BBQ sauce at the table which you can use to your liking. The BBQ sauce was great IMO, almost no sweetness with a slightly sour tomatoey vinegary taste which IMO really helps balance out the heavy smokiness of the meats. The brisket, I've had better, more melt in your mouth type. But it wasn't bad. The baked beans were what you'd expect from BBQ beans, sweet and savory, tender soupy beans. What took it up a notch was that they added some jalapenos to it which gave it a slight kick. The Mac n Cheese was AMAZING IMO. I've never had such good Mac n Cheese. It was gooey, had a slight kick and I think what really makes it great is probably the cheese blend they use, it has such a nice tang to it that it really hits that part of your brain that goes "Yeah I'm eating cheese". Most of the Mac n Cheese I've had didn't have that tang. The food wasn't mind blowingly good but it wasn't terrible either. Definitely above average and if given the chance, I'd for sure stop by again. Very solid place for BBQ

The other less than satisfactory part of our visit was that, as a party of two - amongst other much larger parties, we felt that we were not properly serviced. Once we were finished with our meals, we waited another 30 minutes for the check - even though the server said she would be right back with it and then went by our table at least a half dozen times before arriving with the check.

I only took pics of the pizza, but great dishes all around and excellent cocktails. The pizza was a Roman style, leaning more toward a focaccia. Seabass was incredible and cooked perfectly- nice flavors but overwhelming so you don’t really taste the fish. Glass Noodles and steak was a hit with our son. Wayu smash burger was insane and super tender. Unfortunately, the sticky ribs was a disappointment. Some of the ribs had no meat at all, and the kimchi potato salad was gross. Way too expensive for what you get. The hundred dollar tomahawk steak is overpriced considering it’s all pre-cut so the meat is cold by time you eat it. Fried dough nibs were too hard and not as good as other places. Seemed frozen and pre made. Service was fantastic. Ryan our waiter was great. People were dressed casual. But you’re going to see all types on the spectrum in this place. Not classy at all. Overall it was good. Spent $323 for 4 people before taxes. Owner came around to make sure everything was ok. She is very nice. The large multi people $50 appetizer called the Korean sit down is great as well.

Upon arrival to the edibles we notice they have tables outside. We sat at the tables waiting for a waitress or waiter to approach. As we sat not sure if it was the owner but he came up and told uo we couldn't sit there that the seating was for paying guest only. My sister and I was a bit confused cause instead of assuming we weren't paying guest he could of brought menues out and asked us if we were eating. As we told him we we were eating there he finally sent a waitress out however she still didn't have menues in her hand she ask if we were eating there again. We kindly told her for a second time we want to eat here. It was a bit weird being as though we were the only people of ethnic there. I didn't want to assume it was cause of our skin however the experience wasn't pleasant because they didn't treat us as guest they treated us as trespassers . The food was great we finally got past the questions and asking us to move and ate. I didn't order any food cause I was frustrated I ate the shrimp in a box my sister ordered and had a Moscow mule. The shrimp that I tasted was phenomenal. Food was so good. I would have love to have a better experience however the food is amazing .

Not sure why we waited so long. We started with tomato bisque and the specialty crab bisque. Both excellent. I've always had a good experience. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Place is clean. The atmosphere is cozy especially with the natural light coming inside dining area. There is outdoor seating. I've mostly had the breakfast food and it's always delicious and prepared well. They also have GF pancakes that are way better than others I've had around the area. And other GF options. Including using separate cooking areas for those most sensitive. If they make a mistake they promptly make it right. Someone else got The Wease burger, cooked medium like asked, had big slices of crispy bacon and onions. Specialty cocktails ordered for the table were tasty with aesthetically pleasing presentation. The service was amazing and attentive with each server listening to us chat about our lives as they brought us each dish as it finished in the kitchen. The dishes themselves were full of flavor and the best that I've had of each of them. I personally thought the oysters were the best I've had our of NYC and would be happy to have them every time I visit. The clam chowder was more buttery and less creamy than other versions but the butter and salt added to the in the shell clams and salmon in such a way that brought the dish from great to an experience. The shrimp sliders were fantastic, a perfect blend if shrimp, mayo, cucumber, celery, lemon, and dill to make a refreshing delightful treat. The seafood risotto was one of the cheesiest I've ever had having pesto dance on the plate with lobster, each happily holding their own combined with the parmesan. I will absolutely be back every time I'm in Rochester. The service makes you feel like family and the food makes you feel like you've found a home.

Returning to celebrate my birthday a days ago, it was just okay. We started with a couple of the appetizers. The plantain-crusted shrimp were great. I loved the presentaion, and the flavours were spot on. I found the price of $15 for three shrimp is a bit steep but it was a good tasting and good-looking appetizer. Also placed an order in for the crab cake. The crab cake was absolutely delicious, but I wasn't too fond of the white sauce it came with. It tasted like a mayonnaise-based sauce and I'm not sure if it went well with the crab cake. This also ran about $15 for one single crab cake which I also found a bit steep. For mains, I ordered the rack of lamb. This is one of the most tender lamb dishes I've had anywhere. I found the accompanying sauteed spinach overly salty and the potato gratin a bit underdone. The lamb which I requested medium-rare, was more towards the rare side (which was fine). At $45 for this entree, I expected everything to be spot on, but some aspects missed the mark for me. The girlfriend opted in for the duck breast. I sampled a bit and this was absolutely delicious. A absolutely stunning dish. The flavors were spot on and the puree with the duck were perfect. We both agreed the brussel sprouts were a bit underdone (still crunchy) and some bits had a hard kick of spicy. I want to make clear this is no fault of the restaurant, but the restaurant got quite loud. The dining room is on the smaller side but it was beyond my tolerance. It was rather difficult to hear my girlfriend or ignore the level of noise. I'm on the fence on whether I would return. Even taking the noise level out from my decision, one bottle of still water, two glasses of wine, two appetizers, two entrees and a dessert came to slightly under $200 including tax. I expect things to be near perfect for that price-point which I've found at other restaurants.

The Lentil Soup was quite tasty and the bread was soft, warm and good so I had great expectations for the main dish! I opened the container and saw very dark edges on the chicken! I further investigated and discovered the chicken was burned. I tried the middle and found no cheese anywhere and despite a great deal of red sauce this dish was dry, over cooked and tasteless other than the burned taste of the chicken! I'm never one to need the salt or pepper packets you get with plastic ware yet after using the entire packet this dish was tasteless and just plain nasty! I have no clue what they think chicken parmigiana is supposed to be but THAT WASN'T IT!!! Sadly this was a waste of $27 at the end of a very long travel day!

When they brought it out she also brought cheesecake which was so nice because she was able to get some for me that they had free of charge. It was all delicious. They also had a coat check which was nice. Overall this was an amazing experience and I hope they all get the recognition they deserve. I would love to come again!

I ordered the American Wagyu NY Strip with a Lobster tail for my meal (you can turn any meal into surf in turf as they offer seafood pairings of lobster tail, grilled shrimp, and crab). The steak was cooked medium rare as I ordered it and was seasoned to perfection, one of the best steaks I’ve ever had! My wife ordered the risotto which was top notch. Our friends ordered the Dry Aged Porterhouse, considering they didn’t leave anything but the bone I think it’s safe to say it was delicious. For desert we shared bananas foster and cheesecake. The cheesecake was good but the banana’s foster was to die for. I’m a sucker for a good banana’s foster and love when a steakhouse offers it on the desert menu. Our server was highly attentive and also very entertaining. Every one of the staff we encountered were friendly and welcoming. When the dinners arrived, two of our parties meals arrived without their sides, and mine arrived cold ( it was supposed to be a hot dish). The sides finally arrived only after they had finished their main dish. The waitress was horrified that my meal was cold and said she'd speak to the manager about it. She also offered us complimentary dessert, but at this point, we had been there for two hours and really just wanted to go home. After approximately ten minutes the server came back and stated that she couldn't locate the manager to notify him about my meal being served cold. I paid the bill and just wanted to go home and put comfy clothes on. This review is in no where a negative for the server. She truly tried to remedy the nonstop issues. The issues that arose are all due to poor training, management and execution. One last thing to make note of, was how annoyingly loud the dining room was. The acoustics are horrible. The only way to communicate amongst ourselves, and the server, was to shout to each other.

The burger was juicy, but lacked any real flavor, the fries were okay but lackluster, the milkshake barely tasted of more than cold frothed milk, the home fries didn't seem to have any flavor beyond oil and potato, the vegetables tasted only of the lightly-sautéed veggies and oil (with a little bit of vinegar from the artichokes and red peppers), the eggs were soft poached and fresh, but flavorless - the only real seasoning flavor in the skillet was Asiago cheese, and frankly the white bread with grape jam was the most flavorful part of the experience, even after liberal salt, pepper, and hot sauce. The saving graces were that the diner was clean, service was prompt, the atmosphere was cute, and everyone was marginally friendly. Still, it isn’t someplace I would visit again barring someone else taking me, and it isn't someplace I'd recommend to friends or family. If seasoning isn't really your thing, though, this would probably be - unironically - great for you. I don't fault staff in the least, and frankly think everyone there likely deserves a pay raise for the efficiency they displayed - we tipped > 20% because of the staff alone, and because we don't feel that decisions made by the owner oe management should impact the staff's take home pay. We were there for the caribbean/island theme. The first two dishes we both thought needed salt - both were on the bland side to us.
