Queues for food later in the day had long lines. $25 for parking is a tad steep on top of your park ticket but most parks are now doing this sadly. There’s a desk or something in the long hallway…not sure what that’s all about, but there’s two chairs there, so I guess that’s where they mean for folks to eat, because the “table” in here is like a sofa end table! Although it’s beautiful, there’s no bathtub. It’s a standing shower only and my sensory sensitive kid takes baths, so this should be a fun week of fighting him in the shower! Oh, and there’s ZERO clothing storage, so now I have to dig thru bags every day and night for myself and my kid. The curtains don’t block out ANY light, so if you need a nap you’d better bring your eye mask! There’s a sound machine in the room, but the plug doesn’t work. So…yeah, that’s all upon walking in and trying to unwind, but I guess there’ll be none of that this trip. Maybe it’s just this room, idk, I’ve only seen this one, as it’s our first time staying at a Dollywood resort. It’s a nice room, it’s all functional, but none of it is practical, especially for families. Such a bummer! I hope the other amenities are worth it, because we planned to do most of our eating in our room to save money, and I guess that’s not gonna happen either since we can only store junk and a very small amount of cold food…no frozen at all. I’m just so bummed so far and we haven’t even closed our eyes for the first night.

From the professional but down home nice staff and lodge feel rooms to Dolly music gently playing in the background everything is simply perfect! We enjoyed meals at the resort restaurants and all were delicious but the pizzas are a don’t miss! If you love sweets the soft serve ice cream is wonderful AND you can get Dolly’s famous cinnamon bread here! Heartsong has the largest outside spa (hot tub) I’ve ever enjoyed while looking at the beautiful mountains. The pools are amazing but the spa is where it’s at! Each evening you can enjoy s’mores at the wood burning fire pit and musical guests by the fire pits. Parking is no worry for Dollywood when you ride the Dolly Trolly. All this and I haven’t even told you how comfortable our room was with a beautiful balcony, a woodsy mural, a desk with 2 chairs and a comfortable chair just to relax in. Every touch of the resort feels like it was made with me as a guest in mind. Well if you listen to Dolly’s message on the television she says Heartsong is her love letter to the smokies and I believe it. We didn’t want to leave but we will definitely come back. Sadly we had to cancel our upcoming trip this fall due to family illness. I pre-paid one night in advance and cancelled within the time limit and was due a refund. Today I received a call from Myisha with the Heartsong Lodge -- she wanted to let me know she had tried to refund my eligible prepaid one night but it did not recognize my card. I realized the card had expired. We figured out to try my new card and that worked. In the process while talking to Myisha she was so very kind. She was so nice regarding us not being able to come and said she hoped we could come soon. I told her we plan to sometime within the next few months. We had a nice chat about the resort and that coming in the winter months are also nice. I'm not sure who Myisha's supervisor / manager is but please let her know I am so thankful she and the HeartSong Lodge & Resort called me to make sure I received my refund without having to call them and ask for it. Another reason we love this place ! It is obvious the owners and the one and only Dolly have instilled great values in this wonderful resort in a beautiful area.
