It's really gone down since the last time I was there. Waiter was great. When I told the waitress I did not like basting on my steak she told me then I should of ordered it without basting and when I proceed to tell her I didn't know it would have it on she told me all restaurants do??? Asked for medium steak, I got raw and when I asked if they could just do it a little more I got way over done. The garlic sauce and onion rings were good. 2 egg each charged at R14 each I think maybe a bit much?

The food was mildly warm when brought to us, onions rings under cooked/battered and the cold drink was flat. The cheese on the cheddar melt wasn’t melted. To top off a bad experience the prices we paid were some however 10% higher than the prices on the menu.

In my opinion this branch needs to close down. The food is not just bad it is appalling. I used to purchase from them twice a week then once a week then just once a month. I keep giving them a chance thinking that the standard of food will improve but instead it gets worse. The owner needs to consider employing better management and better kitchen staff. I fetched the food at 6:30pm and took it home and because they close at 7pm I couldn't return it or I would have taken it back and asked the staff if they would eat the food they had given me. The veggie pops were not just burned but were burned so badly it was black! I was expecting it to be a golden brown in colour. I use to love visiting this Wimpy with my little children but not anymore. The equipment in the play area are broken and dirty. It's been like this for over a year. It is really not safe for small children to sit on broken horses. And the dirty soft block too.

No feta, etc. ( I had the same a month just before and it was completely different) This was an hour before closing time. I could see clearly that just gave me whatever stock they had left. Then breakfast- The bacon was off. And a broken Ice cream machine. On top of it all their prices just don't match the quality of food you would expect to get.

But it was still delicious and far superior than the competitors'. I also had the salted caramel milkshake and chicken salad. The salted caramel milkshake gets a 3/5 from me as it tastes more like a vanilla milkshake instead of a salted caramel milkshake. Which is about the only let down I have from the eatery. I decided to eat my chicken salad the following day for lunch and wow, was I pleasantly surprised! The salad held very well overnight, the lettuce was crispy and fresh and the chicken was cooked through yet still very tender and full of flavour. For me this really cemented my opinion of the franchise because more often than not eating establishments fail to deliver on a good enough to eat salad that is neither soggy nor bland. And the absolute cherry on top was the thoughtfulness of the staff to add more than one salad dressing packet as most other places do. I highly recommend Steers to anyone in search of a great burger, creamy milkshakes, a filling and delicious chicken salad with superb service.

I called around 12 to order Lunch and stated my address and they said they can deliver. The delivery guy calls from the landline and said there is nobody yet I was in my office. Told him Il go wait by the security. I asked the security and they said nobody has come to look for me. I waited 30 minutes by the security and called again and they said they came, when I told them I have been waiting by the security for 40 minutes he laughed with and could hear the other staff laughing. For instance I was eating and all of a sudden someone roughly started pulling chairs withought even asking us to move away. We just had to judge from her actions that we need to move with our food and find somewhere else to finish up our food. That was really unpleasant and embarrassing.
