Outdoor Activities
Hakuba Happo-One Snow Resort, a renowned ski area and former site of the 1998 Winter Olympics, offers diverse trails for skiers of all levels and international dining options. Nestled in the Wadano Woods area of Hakuba, it is conveniently located just a short walk from Happo-One, one of the largest mountains in the region. The resort's proximity to various restaurants allows for easy access to delectable cuisines.
This stunning resort is surely my favourite in the whole valley. It's hugely popular, however it never felt 'crowded' on the slopes or at the lifts. It does have many beginner-friendly options, but is my favourite resort for intermediate-advanced runs. If you're lucky enough to get clear weather, taking the lifts to the very top of Happo-One rewards you with what must be the best views in the whole valley. I can hardly put into words the spectacle up there, and you are challenged with an advanced course on descent. Incredible resort. I'd ski here all the time if I could.

The summer hike to the pond is amazing! View, fresh mountain air and lovely temp! Highly recommend the 3 cable cars and gondola to hike. However, the pond is still frozen though in June. Do prepare w rainy weather outfit!

Spent a few unforgettable days skiing at Hakuba and honestly, it exceeded all my expectations. The snow was perfect—powdery, fresh, and consistent every day I was there. The resort itself was super well-maintained, and the service was top-tier. Everyone was so helpful and welcoming, from the lift operators to the shuttle drivers.

Beautiful experience. We aimed to go to Happo ike but the weather was harsh and the last part of the 🚠 was closed. It was the last weekend of the season, so next year we'll try again 😉
Manuela K — Google review
Decided to come here during the summer instead of winter to avoid crowd rush and it was worth every penny. We had a lovely and relaxing time away from the summer heat with amazing views. The staffs are ofcourse awesome as usual!
Neo I — Google review
A great spot for skiing and snowboarding during the winter. In the green season, it’s also perfect for hiking, with a completely different atmosphere. The scenery here is spectacular. As a tourist not here for skiing, I found the snow quite thick and a bit hard to walk through, but the views made it worth it. (Visited on 19 April 2025)
NNchan — Google review
Best resort in Nagano area for advanced skiers. However the grooming is insufficient, when there is no new snow they should groom all pists and fix the moguls. When there is new snow they don't groom the pists at all, which is good but maybe a few runs could still be groomed? Gondola is rather efficient, if there is a long queue try the long sit lift at the very south/left of the resort which is very fast and not very occupied. However most of the lifts are outdated and not very interconnected, which causes you to easily get a bit stuck with a need to walk. They don't have singles queues so lifts are operating far from full potential, which makes the runs less crowded. Lockers available, food trucks for lunch at the bottom of the south/left runs.
Carl-Johan W — Google review
They had a lot of snow . Nice to have an option for the gondola . Slopes are steep and narrow. Few restaurants options. Very close to rental sites. No problem if you don’t speak Japanese ( English everywhere) . Lifts with rental around $100

Super public bath
Hakuba Happo Onsen Obinata no yu is a charming onsen located within the Hakuba Highland Hotel, offering a serene and natural setting for visitors to enjoy. The onsen's hot spring water, which originates from the Himekawa River nearby, is known for its gentle and slightly alkaline properties that are beneficial to the skin. Guests can bask in the romantic and spacious outdoor setup while immersing themselves in the rejuvenating waters.
Very relaxing place to go especially after a full day of snowboarding or skiing. The atmosphere is very calming and majestical. I think the booking of 1hr was enough just bc your skin starts to become wrinkly. I think this would have to one the best onsens around hakuba. Especially if you like the openness with mountain views.
Mia S — Google review
We booked an 1 hour session and it went quick so I'd recommend 2 hours. The private spa that we had only had one shower assembly but it sprayed water everywhere so it was difficult to wash. The spa next door had alot of people chatting away so it was less peaceful in that sense. You could take whatever drinks you want from their fridge and then pay after. The water was nice and warm and the view of the mountain was incredible.
Bryn D — Google review
My first onsen experience and it was so beautiful. We didn’t realise you had to book but luckily showed up just as a group left and got straight in for an hour of bliss. There was no sauna, just the onsen and ice bath, but the onsen was so hot a sauna wasn’t needed. Warm sake to seal the deal and then a walk back to town through the quiet streets. Perfection. Bring your own towels.
Elise R — Google review
Stopped by this hot spring after a summer hike since it was the closest option. Noticed some people leaving after just seeing the facade, but I didn’t think much of it—I just wanted to freshen up before the drive home. Thats when I noticed the holes and gaps in the wall are as big as 1 yen coins. I took a closer look at one of the holes… and unexpectedly locked eyes with a man peeping from the other side. I’ll just say—enter at your own risk.
Lancel A — Google review
Beautiful spacious & most natural looking set up. Right under the sky ! It’s private booking for winter time. Water is very hot & you can rent out burning wood sauna for extra money. We enjoys everything. The only problem was that we arrived 15 min earlier for 12.30 booking & it was completely closed down. & considering it’s in the middle of the woods plz be aware. We had to wait over the bar up the street trying to reach them out. Unsuccessfully for 45 min. Strange unpunctuality for Japan. But we got in eventually & they added extra half for us to stay.
Irina Z — Google review
Enjoyed the outdoor experience here during a rainy day! But the faucet controls are old and don’t work well for washing up.

Petite hotspring surrounded by nature. Bring your own towel if possible, otherwise you have to rent towel here (300 yen for both face towel and big towel)

The Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium is a must-visit spot in Hakuba Village. The Red Soba Flower Festival held between September and October offers the perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of buckwheat flowers in bloom. These flowers eventually become buckwheat noodles, adding an interesting cultural aspect to the visit. The stadium holds historical significance as it was used for Olympic events in 1998, and visitors can still feel the Olympic spirit there.
100% recommend making this a stop. We took the lift to the top what a beautiful view from up there. Some cool history right here in Hakuba.
Redman — Google review
Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium, located in Hakuba, Japan, is a remarkable destination for both sports enthusiasts and history buffs. Constructed in the early 1990s, this venue gained international prominence during the 1998 Winter Olympics, hosting ski jumping and Nordic combined events. Visitors have the opportunity to ascend to the K-120 jump platform, which offers an awe-inspiring panoramic view of Hakuba and its surrounding landscapes. The vantage point from this outer observatory is truly breathtaking, providing a unique perspective of the area’s natural beauty. Beyond the stunning vistas, the stadium houses a variety of displays and exhibits that delve into Olympic history. These include informative videos detailing ski jumping techniques, showcases of racing suits, and collections of Olympic medals and memorabilia. A particularly engaging exhibit features colorful posters from each of the 22 Winter Olympic Games, offering a visual journey through the evolution of this global event. For those interested in experiencing the stadium firsthand, it’s conveniently located approximately a 15-minute walk from the center of Hakuba. The admission fee is modest, and the experience includes a chair lift ride and access to the observatory, making it both an educational and exhilarating excursion. In summary, Hakuba Ski Jumping Stadium offers a compelling blend of breathtaking views and rich Olympic history, making it a must-visit attraction for anyone traveling to the Nagano region.
Darsshan P — Google review
Beside being an impressive and historical sports venue (first gold medal in ski jumping for Japan), It's also a spot with a beautiful view. There's also a couple of galleries with memoribilia from The Nagano Olympics. Free parking on Site. You have to pay to get to the top by chair lift or stairs
Guillaume7372 — Google review
Great value for money. We spent a fun hour roaming around and scaring ourselves looking down from the highest jump. And we caught the gold chair lift both ways so we must be very lucky!
BenandSarah L — Google review
The time seems to stand still at this place. I guess nothing at all has changed here since 1998, which is kind of interesting, too. You can feel the Olympic spirit here. Would love to see some athletes using it. Unfortunately there was no snow during the time we have visited this place :( Definitely worth a visit.
Ralf B — Google review
Went here as it is a short walk from town. It’s been 24 years since this venue was used for an Olympic event, the Hakuba ski jump is still clean, modern and in active use. Standing on top of the jump tower, viewing the surrounding area , looking into the Hakuba valley is an unforgettable experience.

Hakuba Happo Onsen is one of the six sources in Yunosato. It's a bit pricey at 850 yen for adults, but visitors can enjoy both indoor and outdoor baths. The facility may feel relatively new and small, with only one indoor and one outdoor bath available. Despite its size, the onsen offers excellent views of the mountains from the outdoor pool. Visitors can also purchase or rent towels if needed.
Totally relaxing once you get used to being nude around others. Water must have been 40 degrees plus. You can feel the minerals working on your sore muscles. Definitely helped me after skiing.
Andre H — Google review
Very pleasant experience. No lines everything quick and easy I got there on Thursday after skiing around 4pm not too crowded. I was alone in a hot spring for a while. Too bad that I have to bring my own towel for this price. This place is small but cosy and I think it was recently renovated because it’s seems clean and new. Nice experience watching sunset from hot spring ;)
Anna S — Google review
great place to hang out and relax your body after ski! It’s around 850¥ but my friends and I shared the bulk purchase so it works out around 600¥ each pass. Free shampoo but towels arent free to rent.
JT T — Google review
The place to go after an exiting day of skiing. Soak in your muscles and forget all pain :) The hot water will bring back the energy which you need for a good & heavy dinner. The place is well maintained and very clean. Try to avoid peak hours after the lifts are closed. It can be very busy between 4 and 6 pm. We came around 6 pm and the bath was nearly empty.
Ralf B — Google review
Pretty crowded. Suggest to go after 7pm. Pretty average. They have one outdoor onsen and indoors. They don't provide milk lotion etc like other onsen places would. The resting area is very big though
Charis — Google review
I highly recommend after a ski day ! They are closing at 9pm, I was there at 6pm, the place was full, but I came back around 8pm and the place was empty ! There is one bath inside and one bath outside. This place is really peaceful and relaxing.
Claire S — Google review
Excellent public onsen. Gorgeous mountain views from the outdoor onsen pool. There is also an indoor pool available The cost is 850 Yen. If you don't have a towel you can rent one or buy one for 250 Yen. There were only 5-10 people on Saturday 3pm. Not busy at all. Absolutely recommend 👌
Anastasia G — Google review
The place is newly renovated with clean and modern facilities even though it’s exterior looks traditional. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash and hair dryer is provided at no additional charge. Traditional onsen feel with one indoor bath and one routenburo. The water was perfect for the rainy weather. The indoor bath was 40.5°, while the routenburo was 41.5°. On a clear day, you can view the mountains from the indoor bath. They also have a small tatami resting area where you can order some snacks and drinks. ¥800 per entry. Towels are available for purchase at ¥250 (with happo no yu design) and ¥350 for rental set, consisting of one large towel and one onsen towel (face towel size).

Izakaya restaurant
Izakaya Hie Hakuba is a cozy Japanese sake and food spot where you can conveniently order from a tablet, making it easy for non-Japanese speakers. The service is quick, and the atmosphere feels like home with comfortable seating. The menu offers delicious options like beef sushi, potato salad, tuna-avocado, lotus with cheese, and various yakitori dishes. While some items like fried tofu may disappoint, others such as mochi are delightful.
Incredible food although definitely need to book in advance. We were lucky enough to get a booking a week before we came. Food was amazing and reasonably priced. Staff were so welcoming and accomodating. As per most bars in Echoland they do charge a small cover change of 300 Yen which includes a small snack. Each person dining must also order a drink. Considering they must cover a license and only hold a small amount of tables this is absolutely reasonable!! Just worth keeping in mind.
Eden J — Google review
An amazing restaurant with a great atmosphere. The staff were super friendly and the food was amazing. The best we have had on this trip. We booked via the web site, with no issues. You will need to book, as it is a very small restaurant. The staff even organised a taxi for us at the end of the meal. I would highly recommend if you in Hakuba.
Trevor W — Google review
This Izakaya is a gem! We managed to get a seat without booking and only realized we were lucky coz the place filled up very quickly! The food was so good and the atmosphere was very authentic. Highly recommended and I suppose u would need to book coz number of tables available is very small.
Raymond G — Google review
We managed to grab a last-minute opening on their website for the same day, and honestly, I wish we hadn’t. The food was, at best, mediocre — only the sashimi and oysters were decent, but everything else fell short of expectations. Given the high prices, we left feeling disappointed. If you have other cities on your itinerary, save your money and time for a better dining experience elsewhere. Thankfully, Japan has no shortage of fantastic restaurants, so you won’t be missing out by skipping this one.
Maxim P — Google review
We really enjoyed our dinner here. We were a group of 7, so needed to split up into 3 at the bar and 4 at the table next to it, but that was fine. There is a minimum of one drink per person, but that was also okay as they had a wide variety of beers (including a good non-alcoholic one), sake, cocktails, and soft drinks. I loved my yuzu shochu cocktail! We had so many amazing dishes - the cucumber with wasabi miso, grated yam with leek, wagyu beef sushi, chicken meatballs, egg omelette, and baked mackerel were all standouts, but honestly everything we ordered was great. I will definitely return the next time I'm in Hakuba!
Megan M — Google review
Somehow, we were lucky to get a table the day of. This was an authentic experience but honestly not quite worth the hype. The food was amazing, especially sashimi and all the raw seafood but not mind blowing.
Anastasia S — Google review
15/3/2024: Was very lucky to have gotten a table for 4 without any reservation. Pleasantly surprised at how quaint the place was. Very authentic Japanese experience. Food was amazing. Service was warm. We ended up ordering too many skewers. I personally enjoyed the fried mochi with natto and the freshly shucked oysters. Double thumbs up. Will come back again if we are in the area.
Stella T — Google review
Authentic pub/inn. Lots of choices, we enjoyed everything. Private room was very cute. The open times/days on google are incorrect (it opened earlier and on days it said closed) so check the booking link as we got lucky during the busy peak winter season. It says to not take kids on the site but I think it’s fine (we had a 12 yr old)

Bar
Mimi's Restaurant & Bar is a top dining spot in Hakuba, often hailed as the best restaurant in the area. It has earned a Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence, and for good reason. The restaurant boasts a gorgeous setting and is located conveniently across from the Happo Gondola.
Our time at Mimi's was fantastic. We dine around the world and the service, preparation, and quality of the ingredients were first-class. Unlike a recent previous reviewer, we did not find the flavors to be muddled, etc. I suggest to them that they maybe actually read what they are ordering prior to commenting here (ahem, if the dish lists truffles, and you do not care for truffles, then do not order the truffles. It's pretty simple.) I would strongly recommend a meal here for those seeking a fine-dining experience in Hakuba.
Kevin F — Google review
Service was great. Everyone knew what they were doing, bar staff lovely and well knowledgeable. Wine list excellent. I mean this review with no intention to upset the staff nor the chefs. This review simply reflects my opinion. Often “fine” dining is the expression of a chef using foods. Today I wasn’t able to understand the chef’s expression. Food was a disappointment. We had the Wagyu experience 360.000¥ pp (375$ AUD) The tartare (which I was very excited for), had caviar & Wagyu, great combo, expect the cheese that was added to it, maybe a pecorino or a fontina, was so overpowering you couldn’t taste any of the caviar nor the Wagyu. The bread and extra virgin olive oil was excellent. The garlic paste with duck liver foie Gras with the Wagyu and the Gerusalemme artichoke was great. Except the fact that there was no balance in the plate and was like fat on fat with more fat on top. (And than truffle on top) tooo much and the beauty of the ingredients gets lost. Ravioli was good. (But nothing special + had more truffle) tagliolini ragù was good, but again should have been much better. The sauce was watery and in my humble opinion should have been thicker, unless I missed the memo. The Wagyu stake and the wild boar were good. The scallop also good. (Why truffle? On top) The tiramisu was worth a refund and the cake we had wasn’t anything special. Again, the food wasn’t terrible, but too many ingredients which confused the direction of the food. And definitely not worth the price. Thank you for having us.
Simone P — Google review
DO NOT GO! Mimi’s in Hakuba was an absolute disaster. The waitstaff were unbelievably rude and dismissive, setting the tone for a miserable evening. The food was overly salty and barely edible, far from the quality you’d expect at such ridiculously high prices. To make matters worse, they served beef to someone who had specifically requested a diet without it, and black bear to someone whose religion strictly forbids it. This blatant disregard for dietary preferences and religious beliefs is shocking and unacceptable. Save yourself the frustration—there are far better places to eat in Hakuba. Avoid this place at all costs!
Donovan N — Google review
We dined here with a group of friends and whilst the food was incredible, we were very disappointed to work out when we got home that they had added an extra 3 set menus to our bill so over charged us by 900,000 yen. We spilt the bill so didn't pick up on it straight away and called them as soon as we got home, the manager told us that we had just under estimated the service charge and when we said "no we gone over the printed bill and you have over charged us by 3 set menus" she still did not believe us and eventually said "oh it looks like it was a computer error". A simply apology would have gone a long way instead of making us feel like liars. Long story short, the food is incredible but just double check your bill before paying!
Jess G — Google review
This fine dining was exceptional! The service was thorough and attentive throughout our dinner meal. We had the truffle and wagyu experience and it was delicious! It is expensive however is well and truely worth the price.

A wonderful experience for my daughter’s birthday 🎂! We were at Hakuba at my daughter’s birthday and eating at Mimi’s was such a highlight - my daughter said to me she she enjoyed the taste of luxury at Mimi’s. The room was beautiful, the food was divine, the wine is so drinkable and the service was brilliant. We exchanged a fees emails after my booking, they replied instantly and addressed my requests. Two handsome staff even sang happy birthday with us for my daughter, on my daughter’s dessert plate there were birthday wishes addressed to her name. It was so sweet! My son said he had the best bread and steak (mine) in his life. The kids both loved their bear pies. We didn’t order the set menu because we didn’t think we can finish it, we ordered individual dishes, the price is not cheap but the dinner is truely worth every cents. The boss was very attentive and even studied my bill with magnifier to make sure there is no mistake. We are so impressed with Mimi’s dinner experience. Great memories at Mimi’s to remember all my life and highly recommended!
Julia C — Google review
Only a set menu offered. Although we enjoyed our mains, the rest of the dishes tasted very confused. The fusion between Italian and Japanese were, at times, competing with each other and the beautiful tastes that both cuisines were lost. We only enjoyed 20% of our food. It is definitely over priced. Sergio the sommelier was attentive and interesting and he is the only reason I haven’t given this restaurant 2 stars.
Fiona H — Google review
This was the most elite fine dining experience I have ever had. The meals were immaculate, the presentation was flawless and the food beautifully flavored and balanced. The staff took fantastic care of our table. A special mention to Illaria's fantastic service and knowledge of wine pairings, Dante's curated cocktails, and Maicol and Alessandros one on one service and attention to detail. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone staying in Hakuba or Nagano area! Overall, a 10 out of 10 evening.

Mexican restaurant
Restaurant
Uncle Steven's is a renowned Mexican restaurant located in the rural setting of Hakuba, Japan. It has gained fame and has been featured on television multiple times. The establishment offers authentic Tex-Mex cuisine, with popular dishes such as the Steven's Burrito, chimichangas, and enchiladas known for their generous portions. Despite its location in a Japanese ski town, Uncle Steven's manages to deliver satisfying Tex-Mex fare.
Had dinner twice here in two different seasons. This restaurant saved us while many restaurants were busy and didn't let us in. The food was okay, each dish was good enough for one to two. Spaces between tables are super narrow.
Chiaki M — Google review
Pretty great place. They're quite accommodating for walk ins too. I was there solo, but even during snow machine they were able to take in large groups on demand. The food is alright, I mean it's a tex-mex restaurant in a Japanese ski town. Have realistic expectations, and ideally an empty stomach after a day on the slopes, and you'll enjoy it.
Spaghetti C — Google review
First, I’d like to preface this post with the fact that I grew up eating Mexican food. That being said, Mexico is a big country, I have an open mind and more importantly, I’ve noticed while living here in Japan, that Mexican food or Tex-Mex is hard to come by. I really wanted the food to be better (I was rooting for it) and I was also very hungry but unfortunately, the food at Uncle Steven’s restaurant was overpriced and mediocre at best. I do get the old adage: ‘It’s All About Location, Location, Location’. They do have a great location and if you’re missing 80s music (they played a montage), and you want food that will fill you up, then, this is a good restaurant for you. Just remember, it will lighten your wallet faster than you can say "chimichanga!”
Heather A — Google review
Nice Japanese style Mexican near the gondola! We had the pork quesadilla and burrito. The burrito was more enchilada style, but still good! We also enjoyed the frozen margaritas! Definitely a bit on the pricy side, but good if you have a craving!
Erin P — Google review
Great Mexican food and beers, very busy but quick friendly service. Nachos and Chicken Taquitos I can recommend. Seating both upstairs and down, but if it's peak ski season definitely book a table!
Glen S — Google review
Kind of expensive, but that is to be expected in a ski resort. The food is amazing and they provide very large portion sizes. They also have about 8 different hot sauces on the table to experiment with and enjoy.
Max K — Google review
A bit strange looking interior, but the food was exactly what I was looking for. I had the chimichunga and it was amazing! The portion was big, but I finished everything. I hope to return some day in the future. I highly recommend the food!
Thomas R — Google review
Maybe this is Japanese Mexican food. I don’t know. But it was bland and overpriced. The frozen margaritas were bland and incredibly weak, but still somehow ¥1600 each. The burritos were also bland and overpriced. Recommendation for owners: add more cheese and seasoning. Plus side: very pleasant service and fun decorating.

Sounds Like Café is a charming spot to grab a shot of espresso or enjoy a leisurely meal. The menu features delicious options like thick beef burgers, indulgent desserts, and fresh homemade bread for breakfasts, burgers, curries, and sandwiches. The coffee is roasted in-house and the atmosphere is cozy with welcoming service. While parking can be challenging, the fair prices make it worth the visit. Plus, you might even get to meet Mugi, the gentle resident dog!
This is a cute cafe with cool interior and friendly staff. I ordered avocado-bomb burger and it was one of the best burgers I ever had! Bun was fluffy, patty was juicy enough and dressings, seasoning , vegetables all were just perfect. Potato wedges on the side were super tasty. The burger portion was huge. The desserts looked super yummy, I didn't have any space for that, but next time would definitely give them a try.

Mouth watering Cakes, Biggggg Burgers, and best coffee. I went for Brunch on my last day at Hakuba and they had the best Brunch menu. They were very busy when we went in. Maybe cause there was not a lot going on in Echo land on Wednesdays and also it was almost the end of the season and not a lot of shops were open. Or maybe cause they have the best cakes and burgers over there. They allocated you a table and when we're ready to order we had to order at the counter and pay upfront and as a replacement of the number they would give us an animal or bird to recognize our table. That was really cute. We tried the Spicy Chicken Burger, which was so big I couldn't fit it in my mouth and there were fries on the sides. Eggs Benedict was so crazy with the muffins and bacon so good. The food was gonna take a little long so we ordered a chocolate Brownie and the cheese cake before the meal. And that was a good choice we made cause after that big meal I couldn't have had fit in any more dessert. The chocolate brownie was so fluffy on the inside and crispy on the outside and it went well w the whipped cream. The Cheese cake was melting in my mouth. That was one of the best cheesecakes I have ever had. The coffee shake was something new and amazingly good and their Hot Chocolate was also really good. The main meal was amazing. The size of the burger wouldn't fit in my mouth. So do your mouth stretching before they land that hot thing on your table. The interior and the vibes were so cozy and cute. I would love to visit them again if i ever get a chance to go to Hakuba.

4.5 the blueberry cream cheese muffin & carrot cake were delicious and a decent size. The soup of the day was tomato chicken - more chicken pieces than expected + 2 decent garlic bread. I came in just after 11 and it was busy-ish but nearer lunch time there were queues. Not sure if I'd queue but you can always take out. It's a well priced menu with generous portions esp for JP.

Soba noodle shop
Maeda, a soba noodle shop located in the Hakuba Happo area of Japan, offers an exceptional dining experience. This establishment is known for serving some of the finest ramen in the country. The tempura batter is delectable, becoming soft and flavorful when immersed in the soup. The noodles themselves are incredibly tasty, perfectly cooked to achieve a delightful balance of softness and firmness.
Wonderful place to warm up with soba on your lunch break from the slopes! They have room for your skis or snowboard out front.

The place is conveniently located in Hakuba Town. It's reasonably priced. The kakiage was crispy and tasty. The oden was very good. Pork katsu was a 6.5 and could have done with more taste. Definitely worth a visit.

My best hot soba in Hakuba ! They don’t take Card, only cash. The service is really fast ! I paid 1000¥ (6,30€) for a huge bowl of soba. The broth was incredible !

Really nice place in Hakuba happo area. They have soba, udon and rice dishes. The tonkatsu was very good. Soba and udon were also ok. Would return here again. Got very busy after 12:30 and this place is only open for lunch.

Only open for lunch so do come when they open. Supposedly very crowded but ample space even when arriving at 1115am. Their tempura was amazing and so was the cold udon. Amazing prices for the quality.

Possibly some of the best ramen Ive had in Japan. The tempura batter was delicious and it went all soft after being in the soup. The noodles were so delicious! Cooked go perfection, cooked enough so they're soft, but firm at the same time? Staff were pleasant and prompt and also spoke English. Free green tea is definitely a plus! Seems to be quite traditional style, but I'm not Japanese so I could be wrong. Will definitely get back here if I can!

Amazing small shop with delicious soba and udon noodles. Some of the best texture noodles. A great winter time meal when it's cold out

A small noodle restaurant just around the ski rentals and entrance to one of the ski slopes. Once inside the restaurant, I was impressed how neat and clean the place was. The tables were big and plenty of space unlike those small noodle bars in Tokyo or other bigger cities. Food quality was good. No frills udon that concentrates on the noodle and soup. There was also a variety of fried ebi, chicken or pork to mix with your bowl of udon. Service was prompt and the staff were welcoming.
