Auto Race Tracks
The Charlotte Motor Speedway, previously called the Lowe's Motor Speedway, is a renowned NASCAR racetrack located near Charlotte, North Carolina. This 2,000-acre complex features a 1.5-mile quad-oval track where major events like the NASCAR All-Star Race and the Coca-Cola 600 take place. Additionally, it houses the zMAX Dragway for NHRA events.
We had an awesome time as usual at the Charlotte Motor Speedway! The Roval is a fun event to watch. We were lucky enough to have garage and pit passes too which is an added bonus. If you're new to races here, it's a bit better to sit higher up as you can see further around the track but there's really no bad seats here. $50 for Bojangles for 4 of us but that's really not terrible considering where you are. All in all it was a fun time with family.
Tim E — Google review
What an incredibly clean track, easy to get in and out. I'm not a big NASCAR fan but went with some friends and had a phenomenal time. Also loved the aluminum table available to every seat in the stands! We paid for premium parking and it was worth it, but also don't think any parking was particularly bad.
Adam H — Google review
Saw the Roval 400 from the club level. Also had an infield pass. It was a great time and built some core memories. Even signed the start finish line before the race. A great venue and a wholesome family atmosphere.
Walter S — Google review
I took my son and grandson here for our first racing experience. It was fantastic. Easy parking and entry, staff was helpful. We were able to bring a small cooler with drinks and food. Facilities inside were also very convenient.
Melissa N — Google review
Class A facility. We came for the Roval and this is a fun layout of a track. We camped in the turn 1 camping. Definitely not as rowdy of a crowd for this race than others we have been too.
Alrity — Google review
Actually it was the Ford Performance Racing School Mustang Unleashed Experience. That's a mouthful! It was AWESOME! Drive a Mustang in ways that aren't legal or safe on public roads safely! I learned a lot.
Frank C — Google review
5/5 - Thrilling experience at Charlotte Motor Speedway's Roval! The unique road-oval hybrid layout delivers heart-pounding action, with tight turns and high-speed straights that keep you on the edge of your seat. Electric atmosphere during races, top-notch facilities, and perfect for NASCAR fans—highly recommend catching an event here!

Saw the rovel today. Really nice race venue. I'm from Iowa, so I have been to the Newton track several times, this one is great.

Shopping mall
Concord Mills is a sprawling shopping destination located just outside Charlotte, offering a diverse mix of over 200 stores and restaurants. This massive mall features a blend of outlet stores and traditional retailers, making it both a popular tourist attraction and a go-to spot for serious shoppers. Visitors can enjoy an array of entertainment options such as a movie theater, an indoor kart racing center, mini-golf, and even an aquarium.
Concord Mills is a top shopping destination with something for everyone! With an amazing mix of outlet stores, big brands, and specialty shops, I always find great deals. The food court and dining options are diverse and delicious, and the mall is clean, spacious, and easy to navigate. Whether I’m shopping, grabbing a bite, or catching a game in the arcade, I always have a blast. Highly recommend for a full-day shopping adventure!
Nikita T — Google review
Great store's, clean, good food court, movie theater and they have a bungee cord bounce area for the kids. It does get crowded so we try and go at less busy time's.
Jordan D — Google review
What a super surprise it was to stumble upon this mall while visiting the Bass Pro shop. There are over 100 stores to choose from. But the biggest surprise was my favorite store, Primark. Haven't been in one since I left Germany. The food court also had plenty of different foods to pick from. All and all, it's a great mall.
Jamie G — Google review
Very busy on Saturdays, but stores are organized a lot of fun on Dave and Busters, AMC theater its always fun and stays open late night. Recommended..
Jefferson P — Google review
I recently visited Concord Mills Mall and had a really enjoyable experience. The mall is large and well laid-out, with over 200 stores to browse. The variety is impressive — you’ll find everything from outlets and discount retailers to more familiar national brands. One of the highlights is the SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord Aquarium, which is located inside the mall. It’s a fun & unique attraction that adds extra value beyond just shopping. The food court offers plenty of options. I especially liked Maki of Japan, and the usual treats like Auntie Anne’s and Cold Stone are there too. There’s also a carousel for kids, which is a nice touch for families. The mall is climate-controlled, so it’s comfortable regardless of the weather. Parking was ample, and I didn’t struggle to find a spot even when the mall was busy. That said, on weekends it can get very crowded, and navigating through the crowds can be a bit slow. Also, the mall is undergoing updates and additions. New features like darts & shuffleboard game suites and an attraction called the “Human Crane” are being introduced. Overall, I would rate my visit as very good. Concord Mills is a destination mall — great for families, shoppers, and those wanting a full day out. If I were to give suggestions, I’d encourage management to keep up security presence and smooth crowd flow during peak hours.
Abdias G — Google review
Beautiful mall with great shops stocked with amazing stuff.
Emmanuel E — Google review
This antique mall is very unique! As large as it is, they layout is easy to navigate and is very accessable. Prices are very fair among each vendor and there are many food options. Well worth the trip!
Nancy R — Google review
Went to Bass Pro shop, but being where they’re at their prices are a little bit extravagant to either places you can go even buying stuff on Amazon which I finally ended up doing. They have a lot of stuff, but it’s still not priced for people who don’t make a whole lot of money. I consider going to the Guns most and I go to other gun shops before I buy a gun there.

Park
Nature & Parks
Nestled in the scenic Cabarrus County, Frank Liske Park is a vibrant community hub that invites visitors to immerse themselves in a variety of outdoor activities. Spanning an impressive 238 acres, this park beautifully blends its historical roots—once part of the Stonewall Jackson Training School—with modern recreational amenities. Guests can enjoy leisurely days fishing or paddle-boating on the serene 10-acre lake, while picnic pavilions provide perfect spots for family gatherings under shaded areas.
Gorgeous park. Tons of trails, birds, a lake to walk around. There's also pickleball and tennis courts, soccer and baseball fields, mini golf course, plus Frisbee golf. Something for everyone!
Sarah J — Google review
Relaxing park with nearly a 2 mile trail.. events nearly every weekend so I hit it as much as I can during the week. Nature all around throughout the year. Plenty of sheltered areas for get togethers, plenty of restrooms, seasonal paddle boats and mini golf. The only real downside is getting caught in here during an event as there is only one entrance. Other than that it’s laid out well.
Jere D — Google review
This was our first time visiting. What a beautiful park, it is huge. We parked at the lake parking lot and brought our chairs closer to the lake. It was beautiful out and the park was busy. The walking pathway was wonderful for our dog. One note: there are hardly any trees, so if it’s hot out you will not have much shade. Otherwise a beautiful day.
Robin F — Google review
Good gravel path for walking the dogs. You can just walk around the pond or you can make your walk longer by going through the woods. Not sure how long it is but probably at least 2 miles.
Michaela C — Google review
This is one of my favorite parks. I love to walk the trail around the lake and through the woods behind the lake. It is an absolute beautiful place with lots of convenient bathrooms. They even have mini golf, paddle boats, volleyball courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, and so much more. I cannot say enough good things about this park. The staff is always extremely friendly and helpful.
Mary E — Google review
Beautiful park! We were visiting from out of town and wanted a nice trail to walk, and we didn’t bring the right shoes for a hardcore hike. Perfect level paths for all fitness levels. Every outside activity you could want also! Clean bathrooms. Highly recommended.
Lauren H — Google review
Been coming to this park since I was a kid and I love it here sure things have changed but I still love coming here especially with my kids now :)
Jenny R — Google review
Nice park in Concord, NC. They have everything you need here. Golf course, soccer fields, volleyball fields, places to cookout, trails, a pond or lake, ducks, you can go paddling in the water with their paddle boats. Lots to do. I think this is the largest park in Concord, NC or one of the largest. I’m not sure. But it is really nice.

Aquarium
Zoos & Aquariums
SEA LIFE Charlotte-Concord, located at the Concord Mills mall in Concord, is an interactive marine sanctuary featuring thousands of aquatic creatures. The aquarium offers a 360 ocean tunnel, touch-tank pools, and various exhibits such as harbor, shoaling, shipwreck, jellies, and conservation displays. Visitors can participate in educational programs like animal interactions and feeding programs.
I had a great experience at SEA LIFE Charlotte! At first, I thought it was going to be small, but I was pleasantly surprised by how much there was to see. The aquarium has a wide variety of fish and marine creatures — from colorful tropical fish to jellyfish, sharks, rays, and even sea turtles. Each area is thoughtfully organized and makes the visit both fun and educational. What I really appreciated was the self-guided experience. The printed and posted information throughout the aquarium was clear, engaging, and helped me learn a lot about the animals and their habitats. It’s a great setup for visitors to go at their own pace and still enjoy a very informative tour. Overall, it was a very enjoyable visit. Whether you’re going with family, friends, or even solo, SEA LIFE Charlotte is definitely worth checking out. I would happily visit again and highly recommend it to anyone spending time in the area!
Joan P — Google review
I took my family here for my daughters birthday party an everyone had such a great time. The aquarium was very beautiful all the fish and different things to see was really nice an the walk through piece is just breath taking truly. Definitely recommend everyone to go here 100%.
Dylan K — Google review
The aquarium was amazing. Myself and family enjoyed it. The price was a little steep $25 per person. I thought the establishment would have been a little bigger, but overall we still had a great time. Would recommend.
Dez P — Google review
Absolutely loved this place — and it’s not just for kids! 🐠 The walk through the aquarium takes about an hour, but no one rushes you, so you can take your time and enjoy every moment. So many impressions, vibrant colors, and magical underwater scenes. Highly recommend — my little princess was thrilled and couldn’t stop talking about it!
Liudmyla K — Google review
Nice aquarium! Kids and adults will enjoy this pleasant surprise while visiting the mall. There were lots of material to read on the sea life that lives here. We took our time and loved it. Totally worth a visit if you're in the area!

Sealife: that part of the world that we, human beings, don’t really consider in their everyday actions! I took my son to show him that life is more than just go to work, take a shower, visit friends or going to the beach. Life is taking accountability for every species in this beautiful planet 🌍
Gabriel F — Google review
Thought this place was small but nice Definitely nice if you have small children. There is alot of fish, star fish touching, and exploring kids can do. Great for a hot or rainy day for something to do if ur local. I wouldn't make a long trip for just this.
Kris C — Google review
Not what I was expecting… reading all of these reviews I was honestly shocked at how small and short this aquarium is. Granted, I’m a Floridian.. so my only comparison is an amazing aquarium in Tampa. Maybe my expectations were too high? But for $25 a piece for entry, I was extremely unimpressed. Sure, there are fish, and some sting rays, and little sharks… but that’s pretty much it. It’s attached to the concord mall, so that should give you a sense of the vibe. We spent MAYBE a total of 20 minutes in the entire thing.. it’s small, cramped, and just not worth the money. I am only writing this review because I wish I had read one that set the right expectations for me lol. If it was on sale for $10, sure, that would be worth the trip! But we scheduled off our entire Saturday morning to “go to the aquarium” and it was a 20 min walk through. I hate writing poor reviews, but like I said, I wish I had read a review that gave a more accurate picture of the place. My son had fun, so that’s good!

History Museums
Specialty Museums
The Mustang Owner's Museum, located in Concord, NC, is a must-visit for car enthusiasts and fans of the iconic Mustang. This museum pays homage to the legendary vehicle that has been in production for over 50 years. It showcases various exhibits including those on Mustang racing and its role in the 1964 New York's Worlds Fair. Visitors can admire beautifully restored Mustang vehicles displayed at the center of the facility.
I will start off by saying that I never owned a Ford Mustang, but I had a lot of family and friends own them. Mustang memories come back here: When I was in high school, I rode in a neighbor's 65 Mustang to zero period class for weightlifting. So, coming here was pretty nostalgic seeing all the different models thru time. The smell in here is just as nostalgic with the memories, too. Just epic. Location: it's tucked back a block from the main road, so it's nice and quiet in the building. Staff: friendly and knowledgeable. They give you a brief rundown of what's in the museum and what's special. What's cook here: - #11 Mustang ever made - full-size clay model painted from Ford - Mustang from a world's fair - Shelby Mustang - engine lineup through the years - much more
Mardell K — Google review
The museum is very well put together. A great feature is that the vehicles on display rotate in/out Easter and Thanksgiving so you can enjoy this place more than once. The diaplays with all the parts, emblems, and dicast are very nice. I also enjoyed the room with all the old books and magazines. I highly recommended going to the museum and supporting their cause.
Nicholas H — Google review
We had company from out of state and we took them here. They really enjoyed it and so did we. We were at Mustang museum at the old location the last time and it was all new cars this visit. The library was open and it had so many books. The lady at desk was very informative as well. Here are three of my favorites. I you love muscle cars I definitely recommend this museum.
JOYCE O — Google review
If you’re a fan of Ford Mustangs or classic American muscle cars, this museum is a must-see. The collection covers Mustangs from different eras — from vintage originals to modern high-performance models. Every car is beautifully displayed, and you can really feel the passion behind the collection. The atmosphere is great — the museum is located right near Charlotte Motor Speedway, which makes it even more exciting for car lovers. The staff is friendly and always ready to share fun facts about the cars. It’s not a huge museum, but that’s part of its charm. You can explore everything in about an hour or two, and the gift shop has awesome Mustang merch to take home. 💡 Tip: Check the opening hours before going (on Sundays they open at noon). Overall, it’s a fantastic stop for anyone who loves cars. Definitely worth the visit if you’re in Concord or anywhere near Charlotte!
Alex — Google review
We found this museum by chance as we were looking to fill some time prior to going to the airport. The place is small, but it's interesting. The full sized clay model of the Mustang and it's interior was pretty cool to learn about. They have some very nice models.
Brian M — Google review
Did you know there's Mustang Owner's Museum in Concord, NC? My husband and son told me about, and I'm so glad I visited this hidden gem. This museum is the passion project of Steve Hall, who passed away in 2023 leaving his lovely wife and daughter to carry on his legacy. Mr. Hall was a passionate Mustang enthusiast who created the museum to preserve the history of the car through the vehicles and memorabilia of its owners. There are permanent car exhibits from the 1964 New York World's Fair to a Barn Find to Mustang Racing. Then there is a rotation of cars from Mustang owner's that are lent to the museum for a six-month period. New rotations usually happen around Thanksgiving and Easter. This pristine display of Mustang love is definitely worth a visit!
Allison D — Google review
Small museum, a really good collection of Mustangs. My personal favorites were the clay models. They LOOK like metal and glass. The clay interior models LOOK like leather, plastic and metal. You just WANT to touch it, but you can't. Add a great collection of memorabilia and some good engines, you get an idea of what's here. Oh, and a blue 427 Cobra roadster.
Frank C — Google review
Not a car guy but this was a cool experience. Rotating exhibits every 6 months, extremely unique displays. Building is nondescript and you would miss it if you don’t pay attention to the signs!

Italian restaurant
Gianni's Trattoria is a charming Italian restaurant located in the historic downtown area, offering an earthy and polished white-tablecloth setting for a delightful dining experience. Established in 2008, this trattoria is known for its authentic Italian cuisine with a North Carolina twist. The chefs at Gianni's procure fresh seasonal ingredients from local sources and import special items from Italy to create a unique blend of flavors.
I took my mother here for her birthday. Our server was wonderful he sang happy birthday to her. He was a really nice guy. I their new location at Gibson Mill this restaurant seems more roomy. The food was delicious especially their bread and appetizers. The pasta was delicious too my mother really liked her dish.

Me and my husband made reservations for our anniversary here and had the best experience! Everything from the service to the food and even the little details were perfect. Patricia was our waitress and she went above and beyond to make sure we had a good experience. Gave us wonderful recommendations. She even gave us a free dessert at the end of our meal since we told her we were celebrating! Such a great time, we’ll definitely be back.
Ashley W — Google review
Nice place, great food, but from watching the room, we got the short end of the stick on the service. I’d definitely go there again, I’d just be more selective with who waited on my table (definitely not that guy.) Oh, I was a little iffy about going when Google noted it as a $$$ restaurant, I’d say it’s more of a $$+. Try it out for yourself!
RH M — Google review
Exploring the world one plate at a time! We sat at the bar at Gianni’s Trattoria and had a great experience. The bartender and owner were both incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home. They gave us great menu recommendations, and their enthusiasm really added to the night. We started with the calamari, which came with a spicy Fra Diavolo sauce—it had a nice kick and was cooked perfectly. But the standout appetizer was their pan-roasted wild mushrooms on grilled bread. Rich, creamy, and packed with flavor—easily one of the best bites of the night. For mains, we had the orecchiette with sausage and chicken, which was hearty and satisfying. But the real star was the tagliatelle with scallops and shrimp in a creamy, bold sauce. The flavors were luxurious and perfectly balanced—an unforgettable dish. Gianni’s delivers not just great food, but genuine hospitality. A must-visit if you’re looking for quality Italian with a personal touch.

The Gnocchi Trevisano was out of this world. Our server was also wonderful. I think his name was Bradley but I could be completely wrong. He was very nice, attentive, and was a great server. I look forward to coming back again for the same dish. It is crave and rave worthy!!
Kimmy B — Google review
Italian Restaurant – Decent, But Not Worth the Hype We visited this spot around 6 PM, and while the food was decent, it didn’t quite live up to the reviews — especially considering the price. There were very limited menu options, and surprisingly, no pizza since this location doesn’t have an oven. That was a bit disappointing for an Italian place. Also, it was uncomfortably hot inside, which affected the overall dining experience.
Sujit K — Google review
For the price it is, the ribeye was burnt. But that wasn’t the only reason for me to come here to comment. The server offered to split our bowl of pasta between the two of us and we were appreciative that she was helping us by putting the pasta in two separate bowls, however we then realized after receiving our bill that we got hit with a “split” charge of $5. Additionally, there are no refills on the soda was $3.5. I wish there was more clarity with the service instead I walked out feeling like I was scammed.
Renee — Google review
I was looking for somewhere nice for the family to enjoy a great meal and boy did we luck out coming here. The owner Gianni is a terrific person and great restaurant owner. The first thing I noticed was the Bourbon selection was out of this world, a lot of hard to find bottles and very good prices compared to other restaurants. The onion soup was perfect. The wife had the tagliatelle with seafood and cooked everything to perfection. I had the veal special with cherry peppers in a parmesean cream sauce and it was so tender and flavorful. The kids enjoyed spaghetti and chicken. Our server was great, she kept our glasses full and very attentive to all our needs. I would eat here every night especially with this menu and the selection. Thanks for a great family meal Gianni

Barbecue restaurant
The Smoke Pit is a country-style eatery that has quickly become one of the best restaurants in Concord since its opening in 2014. Known for its mouthwatering BBQ ribs, brisket, pulled pork, and wings, this place is a paradise for meat lovers. The menu also features Southern sides that perfectly complement the flavorful meats. Despite being relatively new, The Smoke Pit has already received numerous accolades and awards for its delicious food and generous portions.
This place is awesome!!! Friendly staff, and plenty of them! Easy ordering process, reasonable prices, and the food. Oh my goodness the food!!! Huge portions, meat was spilling off the sandwiches. The macaroni and cheese was THEEEE BESTTTT I have ever had at a restaurant. I had low expectations but was overwhelmed by the quality of food!!! One tiny mishap occurred (they forgot to put in the kids order of a slider and french fries) But they quickly prepared and served the missed meal and didn't charge for it! The ribs were outstanding, pork was delicious. The fries are a thick cut, crispy bit of heaven! The kids meal size was very large and it was just a downsized version of the adults meal. Not cheap processed food. Free drink refills, spacious, clean bathrooms, this place had it all. It was a short distance off the highway and I jist wish there was one in NJ!!
Deborah F — Google review
The Smoke Pit was an amazing experience! I ordered 5 Jumbo Wings and ½ lb of Burnt Ends to go, and both were excellent. The wings had the perfect balance of sweet and spicy flavor, and the burnt ends were my first time trying them absolutely delicious and tender. There were so many food options on the menu that I wanted to order the full meal, but I’ll definitely be back to try more. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. I spent about $40, which felt worth it for the quality and portions. The only downside was the mac & cheese it was just okay, nothing special. I wouldn’t recommend it. But overall, the food itself is top notch, and I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for great BBQ and flavorful wings. JJ the Food Critic sent you.

The fried okra was perfect, the pulled pork was awesome. I wish they had NC style vinegar based options but it was still good. The collard greens were perfect. Delicious corn bread. The brisket was good too! They have Cheerwine which was nice! The seasoned fries and mac and cheese were spot on! And they give you a good amount! We tried the pulled chicken and it was actually good a little on the dry side but good with the multiple sauce options. The BBQ coleslaw was different from what I’m used but good as well and the staff were helpful. I highly recommend!
Jared W — Google review
I called in, but I was in the parking lot just to see what's the wait time. 10 minutes top. I got the 4 meats, a side of collar greens, corn bread with corn in it, and the Mac and cheese O-HELL everything was crazy good. I tried to kill it, but couldn't. Nice, clean, welcoming, and very friendly people. 10 out of 10. I'm from Mt.Giead N.C, and the drive was o so worth it.
Paris C — Google review
Be ready to eat when you come here because the portions are enough for two, especially the sandwiches. I can’t get enough of the sides. The cornbread has honey drizzled over it and real corn 🤤 The baked beans are a perfect mix of sweet and smoky, and the collard greens have a nice, slight kick. The mac & cheese, baked beans, and sweet potato casserole are all top tier.
Keila P — Google review
Hands down the best barbeque food I've tasted in Charlotte area. The burnt ends and the brisket were simply delicious with the mix fat and non fat parts. They had really good collection of sauces - the Lexington dip was the most vinegar based and true southern, smoke pit original comes next followed by Carolina sweet. We got too full for dessert but they looked GREAT. We got there around 5:30 and the line moved very quickly (on a Friday evening) - but soon after that it got super slow. We watched someone move barely 5 foot in half an hour. Popular place!
Kash S — Google review
Great place for BBQ! Dry rubbed ribs had just enough seasoning, plenty of meat, cooked just right and very tender. Brisket was perfectly seasoned and smoked to perfection. You could cut it with a spoon. Mac and cheese had good flavor but too dry for my taste. The egg salad potato salad was fresh but could definitely use more egg salad in it. Cornbread was a little on the dry side as well. The sides are definitely mediocre but the meats were definitely top tier. They offer a number of different sauces, I recommend the southern sweet as I'm not into vinegar based sauces. The two combo meal was way more food than I can finish in a sitting so although pricey, it's basically two meals in one. Restaurant was clean and service was fast and friendly. Definitely will be returning here!
Rob R — Google review
Let me tell y’all something!! This was my first time eating here and yea it was like that! The food didn’t need anything added to it as far as seasoning goes. The sauces were delicious! Everything I ate was delicious! I had pulled chicken, leg quarters, Mac and cheese, sweet potatoes casserole, Texas toast and cornbread! My bf had brisket and burnt ends…yea he said it was the best he had in years! Everything we ate was GOOD!! I’m coming back anytime I want some good eats!! Service was top tier and the entire staff was friendly! Oh and the store next door to the restaurant has great prices on antibiotic free meats!! We also purchased a few items from there as well!

2 Gals Kitchen is a charming cafe that has been serving up homemade sandwiches, salads, and baked goods since 2013. The friendly atmosphere and delicious food keep customers coming back for more. Belinda and Mary, the happy owners, moved from the west coast with a dream of creating a gourmet sandwich shop with beautiful food and a comfortable atmosphere. The cafe offers tempting options like the veggie delight sandwich filled with fresh vegetables and havarti cheese.
Wonderful experience at 2 Gals Kitchen. Party of three (two of which are from out of town) on a week day for lunch. About 2/3 full and we were seated immediately. Service very friendly and sensitive to dietary issues. Reuben, Jacked up Pepper Burger and ABC Burger all rated as excellent. Regular fries and Sweet Potato fries were rated as good. Prices are reasonable.

Nice restaurant in Downtown Concord. The cheeseburger and fries were delicious. You must get the ranch dressing it is really good. The service and prices were great.

Low stars are my least favorite however I appreciate honesty so others can make wise choices. Chips and salsa were very good. Unfortunately we weren't in the mood for a burger so that may have been the downfall. I ordered the crab pasta- I took one bite. Waitress removed it from the Bill and I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken instead. If I'm being 100% honest, which my reviews are, it was decent. The chicken was fresh, no flavor, and barely any romaine. My husband ordered Dave's tuna salad with side potato salad. Tuna was very dry, potatoe salad was fine. I will start with the positives: the ambience is cute and airy Wait staff was friendly and professional Food was fresh Overall, we would not go back. Food was bland, small portions for the price (had we actually really liked anything) and maybe we missed the mark by not having the burger. Again -This is nothing personal against the restaurant itself, it's an honest review of food. I took video because it's a cute place. You decide for yourself 😊

We went here for my mom’s birthday dinner. She picked this restaurant and loved the Shrimp Po’Boy she ordered. The shrimp were huge! My dad got the Alfredo (Angel hair) with chicken added. My brother and husband got the hot honey chicken sandwich. I ordered the 2 Gals petite burger with sweet potato fries. We did get 2 appetizers. One fried deviled eggs (excellent) and the Parmesan truffle fries. We weren’t really impressed with any of our fries. They were pretty flimsy and not crisp at all. I know that is some people’s preference, so it’s just our opinion. You could tell everything was homemade. Cute atmosphere and it was not crowded or full when we went in after they had just opened at 5pm. Overall good experience!

My date and I waited 45 minutes just for our appetizer to come out. We were seated in a corner by the window and blatantly ignored the entire time. One waitress kept making direct eye contact with us like she was about to come over—then would literally turn and walk the other way. Drinks were barely refilled, and after waiting an hour, we were finally asked what we wanted for our entrées. By then, we had already finished our appetizer with almost no drink left. And the cheese sauce? It wasn’t even a sauce—it was just a fat clump of melted cheddar, no cream or milk mixed in at all. Then our order was written down wrong. We asked for two burger combos (one veggie/bean patty and one regular meat burger, both with fries), but she rang everything up separately, so we were overcharged. When the food finally came, the fries were soggy, the burgers were cold and falling apart, and my bean burger looked like it had been microwaved. My boyfriend’s burger was red in the middle, and his fries were dry, greasy, and had zero seasoning. I never even got my fries—because apparently, they were out. Instead of being honest, our waitress told us “we’ll be right back with your fries!” and never returned. We never got the fries, never got the ranch, and never got the ketchup we asked for. At the end, another waitress casually mentioned they’d been out of fries the entire time. So not only were we ignored, but we were straight-up lied to. The excuse was that they were “busy,” but there were five open tables around us, and three tables seated after us got their food, ate, and left before ours ever arrived. We paid $60 for one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Between the long waits, terrible service, cold food, and blatant dishonesty, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

BeeBoo is a huge fan of 2 Gals restaurant in Downtown Concord! The custom cocktails are works of heavenly art while the thoughtful burgers transport you to a comfortable place of peace and stillness. The owners and crew are locals and pour so much love into their place. Highly recommended! Great for dates or solo journeys and for lunchtime meetings.

Everytime I come for work, I stop by this place and order the veggie sandwich with the pear and havarti cheese, with the sweet potato fries. My favorite meal. I could eat this everyday. The staff in very welcoming and they gave me extra fries when last time I was there and told them how much I love the fries. Little things go a long way. I will definitely stop by next time I am in the area. Thank you!

I had a wedding shower today at 2 Gals and everything was perfect! The venue space is gorgeous. The staff actually worked over the Labor Day weekend to paint it and install a new chandelier and artwork. The food was amazing. We had fruit, an array of sandwiches, chicken and waffles and stuffed potato skins, and Mimozas. The service was excellent! So pleased with the whole experience. This is the perfect space to book your event.

Breakfast restaurant
Breakfastime- Cabarrus Ave offers exceptional cuisine and excellent staff. The delectable food, at an incredible value, exceeds expectations. Moreover, the friendly service is both welcoming and efficient, with breakfast dishes served promptly. This highly recommended location provides a delightful dining experience, particularly for those seeking the scrumptious Banana Foster Pancakes. It is advisable to opt for smaller portion sizes when ordering sides as they generously serve substantial amounts of food.
Stayed in Concord whilst on holiday from the UK - looked this place up prior for breakfast and boy, it didn't disappoint! Our server (I didn't catch her name) was incredibly sweet and let us know that we pay for the ticket upfront, had coffee and water refills ready, didn't rush us - makes all the difference. So thank you and hopefully the tip we left, went to her somehow. The food was great too! I had the weight watchers platter with an egg biscuit and my partner had one of the breakfast platters - scrambled eggs, Canadian bacon with hash browns and a biscuit. The biscuit was probably the best we've had, incredibly fluffy. For any British person that wants to argue a biscuit is a scone - stop. It's not. Try this and you'll see why! Long story short, stop here for breakfast. It's so worth it, full of locals and great service. Thank you ❤️

Had breakfast with a friend here this morning. Neat and very popular place in Concord, NC on a main road. Extensive menu and they are always packed. Quick service, attentive and pleasant waitstaff is always a plus in my book! I ordered the chicken and waffles- which was a delicious waffle sprinkled with powdered sugar served of a small cup of warm syrup. The chicken was tender tasty strips and I might add, quite a few of them. She got eggs, buttery grits, bacon and toast along with some hash browns. Both of us got a glass of orange juice. Reasonably priced menu, so glad she introduced me to this place. I will be back!

My first time there, it's a hit with my relatives and the local town folk as well. I had the blueberry pancakes with cheese eggs and turkey sausage. My wife had pancakes with home fries, cheese eggs, and turkey sausage. With an expansive menu, I'll definitely come back to try different dishes the next time I'm in town. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

The bananas foster pancakes were delicious! I thoroughly enjoyed them. The service was great. There was a little wait but it was to be expected. Good home style breakfast and lunch options.

There was a wait, the hostess wrote down the wrong name so I never heard my name called. After going up there I finally got a seat. I ordered my mea eggs over medium, when i got them they were less than over easyl and a side of biscuits and gravy. My gravy had a hair in it. Then I noticed none of the kitchen staff wore hair nets. I lost my appetite after finding the hair after eating half my biscuits and gravy. The waitress took off my side of gravy and my drinks. Also condensation was leaking from all of the vents in the ceiling falling onto the floor.

Overall great experience. Seated promptly. Food came out pretty quickly. The food was all tasty. The real standout was the service. Alicia was absolutely terrific start to finish. Steps of service were on point and her hospitality was unmatched. She made the experience memorable.

Best food around, reasonable prices, consistent quality and friendly service all around. We love this place! I have tried many items on the menu and have yet to be disappointed. The wait to dine in is long on the weekends because the secret to their awesomeness is out! Worth the wait!

Havana Carolina Restaurant & Bar is a charming family-owned establishment that takes pride in serving up authentic Cuban cuisine and tropical cocktails. The cozy setting provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying Cuban coffee, sandwiches, flavorful entrees, and delectable desserts like flan or tres leches. With a laid-back vibe and live Latin music, this restaurant offers a taste of Old Havana right in Downtown Concord.
Celebrated a birthday lunch with my husband at Havana Carolina. It was an impromptu decision and the best Decision . We have discovered a gem in Concord, nc. Great atmosphere, music, food and an excellent service from Alejandro. I was celebrated with my favorite dessert ever, flan… and I must say it was the best I’ve had and I e had many. We will be going back regularly and taking friends and family. Like to try the live band on a Saturday evening.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Outstanding — One of the Best in the Nation! Havana Carolina is easily one of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to — not just in North Carolina, but anywhere in the country. The moment we walked in, the atmosphere hit us with pure energy: lively music, warm smiles, and an authentic Cuban vibe that made the whole night unforgettable. We ordered the Taste of Cuba sampler, and it was hands-down one of the best dining deals we’ve ever had. Every bite felt like home — the flavors reminded me of my family’s cooking growing up. From the tender pork and perfectly seasoned beef to the plantains and yuca, it was a flavor experience that hit every note. The drinks and Cuban coffee were phenomenal — honestly some of the best we’ve ever had eating out. The service was just as exceptional. The entire team worked together seamlessly, attentive without being overbearing, and genuinely seemed to enjoy creating a great experience for their guests. To top it all off, the live singer came by our table and jammed with us — that moment alone turned an already amazing dinner into something truly special. If you’re anywhere near Concord, Havana Carolina is an absolute must. Great food, great people, great energy — this place sets the bar high for what a dining experience should be.

Absolutely delicious food. I recommend the Tesoros Cubanos as a sample appetizer. Both the Ropa Vieja and Vaca Frita were phenomenal. I had the flan for dessert and was pleasantly surprised, it was thick and almost had a cheesecake texture. Heavily recommend this restaurant for people looking for authentic Cuban food, and for those new to Cuban food. Additionally, Aryoly was an excellent waitress. She did a wonderful job taking care of us. She was ready to answer any questions we had and our glasses were never empty.

I recently visited Havana Carolina in Concord and had a wonderful experience. The moment you walk in, the tropical décor, warm lighting, and subtle Cuban music make you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Havana. The best of all was//: * The **cocktails**, especially the mojitos, were refreshing and well balanced. * **Service** was friendly and attentive; our server gave helpful suggestions and checked in without being overbearing. * There’s a **cozy, festive vibe**, particularly on Friday/Saturday nights with live music. It makes for a fun dinner atmosphere. **A few minor notes:** * The restaurant can get busy on weekends, so reservations or arriving early is wise. * It’s a bit tucked back in a building without prominent street signage, so the entrance was slightly tricky to spot. * Parking is somewhat limited—plan for that ahead of time. All in all, Havana Carolina is a gem for Cuban cuisine in the area. I’ll definitely be returning to try more of their menu and enjoy the ambiance.

An impromptu night for dinner turned into an amazing experience. I’d never had Cuban before, and always wanted to try. I had no idea what to order, but the waiter explained it and answered all of my questions with ease and assurance. The food was amazing! Atmosphere exciting. And the service was beyond phenomenal. I can’t wait to come back and have it again!

Love coming here for some delicious Cuban food! You really can’t go wrong with anything. If you need help choosing something, the waitresses are so helpful with helping you decide what to order. My favorite meal is Ropa Vieja with the beans and rice mixed. It’s full of flavor.
