Visitors can walk tower-dotted, medieval ramparts with views of the old city & the English Channel.

Walking here is a fantastic experience, allowing you to observe the beautiful sea. At sunset, the walls transform into a dreamlike landscape.
Not completely overrun so far! Gives you a great understanding of old town structures and has a super nice flair! Just beat the crowd and be early there to get one of the parking spots outside of the city center.
No tickets necessary. Just over a mile to walk round. Steps up to the top of the ramparts. Beautiful views of the town and sea
Historical & Landmark Saint-Malo walls This is a great place to come and visit. It is free of charge, so all you have to do is find one of the staircases leading you to the walkway the wardens & guards would have taken to check if the enemy was not coming ;) This is also a fantastic viewpoint and it is really good to start your visit of SM here as it does give you a perspective of the whole city somehow (obviously talking here about the intramuros part). The views were great & the walk is fantastic specially on a good day. Highly recommended!
One of my most favourite places on earth. I adore it here and hopefully everyone will agree. Weather helps too.
Fantastic place to visit for it's amazing views, shopping and restaurants. Places for a dip in the sea if you are brave enough if the weather is good. Boat trips available
This city is just one of a kind. It’s really crowded during the weekends and you think their is enough parking but their isn’t haha. We stayed a whole week to check out everything and it was really worth it. Go their during summer or during fall if you wanna see the big waves
A very interesting place to visit. Although the narrow streets could get claustrophobic if spending too much time there. Absolutely full of restaurants. We took the wee tourist train which gives a good look round without getting lost!

Wonderful place! It would make a great afternoon visit with kids or even to go on a date. Not much in English but it's fun and interesting.
Very nice aquarium, not only regular fish, but also a variety of more obscure, more interesting fish. The ride at the end is very entertaining and creative. Beware of loud children though, they’re not just shark bait unfortunately…
Visiting from the UK arrived on the morning ferry with hours till accommodation check in.. Called in here to the Grand Aquarium.. Wow.. a great couple of hours spent with the Fish.. Well laid out, a great family visit.. The Nautibus tres Magnific.
A visit for the kids who love their fish and other sea animals after a walk round the old town of Saint Malo. Lots of parking, some under cover so the car isnt too baking when you return to it. Entrance fee was reasonable for family of 4, less than UK Seaworlds. The signs were electronic and helpfully cycled through each animal in each tank in French and English, more informative than lots of tired UK Seaworld signs. Lots of different sea creatures to see, including turtles in the main tank and spider crabs, a nice flow to the different sections, and a surprise at the end, a simulation of a visit to an underwater station and submarine ride. Quite slow moving queue (whole thing probably took an hour) in a confined area, the videos along the way are all in French, and the sub ride itself is arguably more exciting than what you can see outside of the sub, but a welcome addition to end the visit on that a UK place would make you pay extra for. Worth a visit, rain or shine.
Really lovely trip out. I think the price was reasonable considering it is similar to prices back in England and that doesn't even include a fantastic submarine ride, like here at the Grand Aquarium. Fantastic selection of fish, crustaceans and turtles to see, some I've never seen before. Lovely clean glass on the aquariums. Huge multiple touch pool area with sharks, rays, fish and crabs to touch. Animal welfare seems really good here too. Throughly enjoyed ourselves. The only thing I think they could improve on is having english subs or dub on some of the videos, so we can understand a little better. We entered at 12 noon and there was no queue, no rush to enter as open until 7pm. Spent a few hours walking around and then went on to Dinard close by for a seaside walk.
Excellent experience. Very good aquatic husbandry. I really enjoyed the behind the scenes tour.
Good - but really was busy! Busier than when we went to the larger one in Paris but great fun. The sub ride at the end is good fun and not to be missed!
An amazing aquarium with overcrowding problems. As a wheelchair user I struggled to see the exhibits as people clambered in front of me to press themselves against the glass.

Douce France où la mer qu'on voit danser:) It's really a wonderful place, unique, but also one of many beautiful places in northern France. There is this certain vibe there, this sort of wild, sauvage feel to these places. Maybe it's a feeling of freedom, or the incredible history that is preserved by the marvelous architecture?
It's hard to resist sunbathing here. It's clean, quiet, and perfect for relaxing.
Grande Plage du Sillon is one of those places where you just stop and look. The sea, the light, and the reflections on the sand create something truly unique.
Great beach that is long enough for a long walk in the sand.
I don't have enough words to describe the beauty of this place, the beach with fine sand, the sea of a spectacular color, the vibe of this corner of heaven. I simply adore it 🥰
Wonderful! Gorgeous views. Fantastic panoramas! It made me painting it. I share my watercolour with this site.
At 3 km long, it is the largest sandy beach in Saint-Malo. The dike was built from 1883 to 1913 on an old sandy beach. With a length of 1671 meters, it runs along the Grande plage lined with numerous villas built at the end of the 19th century. Along the Sillon, a line of breakwaters protects the dike from the force of the waves. Built at the beginning of the 19th century, the oaken breakwaters have a depth at least equal to or even greater than their visible height.
Grande Plage du Sillon is the largest beach and was voted the most beautiful beach in France in 2018. It stretches over three kilometers of fine sand and connects two neighborhoods of the city - Intra-Muros and Parame. During high tide, the beach completely disappears, and during low tide, it becomes a very wide beach.

Unique attraction with an amazing backstory. Stunning location right on the edge of the rocks. Beware if you take small children as there are precipitous drop offs while looking at some of the sculptures.
An excursion from Saint-Malo is not a bad option if you have seen everything else in the town, especially to walk to the islands when the water is low, and you have free time.
It's OK but wish someone had told us it's not accessible to someone with mobility problems before we paid our 10 euros. It's interesting.
A hidden gem well worth taking the time to visit. Truly beautiful and fun for children and adults.
Beautiful place with great views. The entrance was 5€ and you get a brochure with information on the site, which explains its origin and more of the man behind this work. They have a small gift shop too. You have further information inside and nice wooden benches to rest and enjoy the view. Feel free to take a snack with you. The whole visit can last around 30 minutes. The place offers lovely views of the sea and the surroundings. It wasn’t crowded when I visited, which was during the afternoon.
It’s a small display, located in the most natural of settings of nature. The story behind the rock sculptures is very inspiring. The views and the surroundings are very relaxing and enjoyable. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.
Worth a visit but don't go via the restaurant and pay £5 you can walk along the coast and see them for free!
A delightful experience, I think that the entrance price of €2.50 is symbolic, this place is really worth visiting. The view is also very beautiful and a big plus is the beach at the foot of the statues. If you are the type of person who doesn't like crowds, this is the ideal place

Came during low tide in winter and it was truly spectacular even during this time of the year. It’s even better when you don’t have to fight the crowds during the most favored times of the year. Definitely worth your time to visit, but check the local tide schedule if you wish to walk along the beautiful stretch of beach here.
Fantastic with great views. Definitely worth a visit at low tide, it is open when the flag is up. It costs €5 to access the fort, cash only is accepted
When I arrived at the gate it was €5 and they accepted only cash so I wasn’t able to go in. Views from the gate looking back to the city are stunning and well worth the walk over.
It’s opened only from June to September for visits. But it’s placed beautifully in the middle of the sea and reachable only on low tides.
If the France flag is on the castle means it’s open to public to visit. However even visit the beach is fun.
On the Michelin scale, it would be ⭐️, worth stopping in if you’re around, I would not make a dedicated trip just for this. Saint Malo is very nice though.
Very nice castle on the bay. You can walking to the castle only when there is low tide. This is an ancient guard castle to defense the city from sea attack, so there are cannons inside. There is a large grass for resting, it's also beautiful for child who want to run. In the sunny days is a very spectacular place for taking pictures. It's important so pay attention at the tides, if you don't want wet your shoes..
I went there at 3:30 on a Friday at low tide and it was closed, even though in the picture I took, you can see people inside. I’m not sure why they can get in and I can’t. Not good. Also, the hours on Google say it’s open. Too bad they don’t update it when they’re closed. I went to the office of tourism and she said that is closed for the next three days, but she didn’t know why. I found out why it was closed for three days because it was due to a wedding. I guess rich people have priority over the regular people. Also, it says to look for a French flag to see if it’s opened, but they fly a Britain flag along with the blue flag to confuse you. Luckily I was able to go back another day and their website said it was opened and when I got there they said I could tour it for 30 minutes. About five minutes later, they told me I had to leave even though the tide had not blocked the away.

Beautiful Cathedral. It was a warm day outside and I couldn't believe how warm it was inside due to all of the burning candles! Peaceful place with interesting religious artwork. Free entry but donations appreciated. You can however donate for a candle.
My wife and I were fortunate to visit on the Feast of St. Joseph the Worker and attend Mass. It was a beautiful and reverent liturgy. The church is also visibly stunning and filled with history.
Marvellous Holy Cathedral Fantastic historical Cathedral in the town centre of Saint-Malo. This is obviously the heart of the city. The building is very grand and beautiful. We really enjoyed the architecture but also the feel we had inside the building. Felt very relaxing. Highly recommended to step inside.
This Cathedrak is fantastic . Inside thanks to the beautiful stained glass windows, you are treated to one of the best light shows going . The skill involved in achieving this is immense, unfortunately my skills at photography are lacking and my photos below par . Oh well you will just have to visit yourself and give your eyes a treat . I almost forgot this is just one cathedral on the Tro Breizh (tour of Brittany) linking the towns of the seven founding saints of Brittany . So get your walking boots on I am half way around .
This lovely cathedral in the centre of Saint Malo is completely free to enter. It has a lovely peaceful atmosphere, beautiful stained glass windows, a large organ at the back. It's a wonderful place to head into for a calm and quiet break from the busy tourist streets of Intra Muros, or to get away from the weather, whether rain or sunshine!
Amazing Cathedral, beautifull side altars and a little shop with rosaries, postcards and medals. The main altar however is very strange looking, and dispenses an almost pagan atmosphere, wich is of course, very unfortunate.
Awesome from the outside. Even more beautiful from the inside!
Amazing architecture and saintly ambiance invades your senses while walking through this cathedral. We spent the day walking around this historical city of Saint Malo ….quite beautiful. Don’t miss it when you’re in the area.

Great location adjacent to the world war 2 fort and monument, with an incredible view across the bay to the walled city, which can be reached by foot in about 30 minutes. As for the site, it’s quite large, with two hundred or more marked spaces and when we were here in late June it was quite busy, with maybe 80 or 90 percent of the sites occupied. That said, even pretty full it did not feel overly crowded. The shower/restroom facilities are older but well maintained. The pitch sites themselves are a little packed in compared to other more rural campgrounds we have visited in Brittany, but given the location just outside st malo it is to be expected Ample electric hookups on site. There also is an overflow area dedicated to hikers and cyclists. Some of those spots are on a slope, but most are shaded which maybe makes up for the incline. Those sites do not all have access to ehu’s, but there are a couple in the bike camper area to share A bit pricey compared to other municipal campgrounds we have stayed at. (We paid 25 euro including the ehu) But again, given the location it is probably justifiable. Finally, they have a small camp store which had artisanal ciders in stock so big plus for that. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again when visiting at malo
What a find! An adult campsite with a cracking bar and close to St Malo to take in the town with fantastic views.. For a 2 star it’s beaten some off the 5 star campsites we have visited for vibe/bar/food and shop. Yes the loos are a bit old and showers clearly not what you’d get from a better star rated site, but if like something happenings two adults with kids it is a find.
Toilets are EXTREMELY smelly. I've stayed in over 40 campsites and have never experienced anything as bad as this. Pitches are small. Fresh water is a challenge. There's limited/ no privacy. However, it's a great location. If you stay out all day, you'll be fine. St Malo is so lovely it's easy to do!
I’m not sure what others expect but we found the facilities clean, the showers were hot and lots of pressure, it’s extremely close to St Malo and the view is amazing. Yes the pitches aren’t level, the sanitairre is old but there are so many positives that out weigh these minor issues. The daily fresh bread is fantastic too, but please don’t come here, so it’s not busy next time we’re in France……
Great location, poor showers and toilets, pitches extremely close together, only one water point and only one chemical toilet point. The bar plays loud music until 10pm or 11pm and the owner of the bar when I asked when the music might stop replied ‘when I decide’ in a rude and challenging manner. Completely unnecessary!
You really can’t argue with the superb location and good price. If you’re looking for luxury this won’t be for you but for ease of access to the beautiful coastline, city and thought-provoking war memorial it’s unbeatable. Facilities are old but clean. Pitches may feel a little tight if you’re planning on spending your days on the site but with a location like this, why would you.
My friend and me we stayed in this campsite for 2 nights when doing our cycling trip. The view from our tent was just fabulous. The unique small negative point are the sanitaires which are not very clean but on the other hand the situation and price considering we are in Saint Malo is an absolute benefit and we would defintelly come back!
Fairly basic pitches, and many sloping. Severe lack of water points for filling barrels. There was one tap for filling motorhomes at €1 for 100 litres, but shown as not drinking water. The only drinking water seemed to be down a flight of stairs in the sanitaire block - hardly suitable for filling a 40 litre barrel. There were several places which looked like water points but the taps had been removed.

Amazing mansion that brings you back to the 17th century. It was an amazing visit with a very good tour guide that knew a lot of the history of the mansion and the history of Saint Malo.
I anticipated that the tour would not be accessible to non French speakers but I was not prepared for a whole hour just spent in 3 rooms - I was very disappointed not to see more than the ground floor (rather than the 56 rooms advertised) but I couldnt stand up any longer ! My feeling was that the lengthy (interminable) explanations were (way) too long even for French speakers. Sadly I left after an hour - my choice ! Just couldn’t take any more …. Re bathroom - no toilet paper and basin sink bin overflowing with yesterday’s used towels. Madame was 10 mins late opening up so maybe they had a problem 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you don’t speak French I would say don’t go - this is a real pity as I didn’t lack interest or realise the rarity of the maison.
Translated by our guide was a very detailed and animated description of St Mali's days related to privateering.
Disappointing Tour for Non-French Speaking Tourists Review: I was very excited to visit the "Demeure de Corsaire" in Saint-Malo because of my great interest in the history of privateers. Unfortunately, the tour was a huge disappointment. Firstly: The entire tour is exclusively in French. There are no indications that other languages are not supported. As a tourist, you feel misled when you only find out upon entering the museum that you won’t understand anything if you don’t speak French. Secondly: There is no information or warning that the tour is only in French before you purchase the tickets. Given the rather high ticket prices, I would have at least expected an audio guide or a written summary in English. Instead, you end up stuck with expensive tickets without being able to enjoy even a fraction of the tour's value. Thirdly: When I brought this up with the staff, I was brushed off in a very unfriendly and arrogant manner. There was no willingness to help or provide alternative solutions to make at least part of the experience comprehensible. I cannot recommend this museum if you do not speak French. It is really a shame that such a historically significant place is not better suited to international visitors. Saint-Malo has many other attractions that are much more welcoming. Avoid the "Demeure de Corsaire" if you are planning a pleasant and informative visit.
It's a nice, historic house but it's inhabited and so it cannot be visited in its entirety. It was an okayish experience but would not repeat it. The owner is either a historian or very passionate about (local) history and takes tourists around the house, providing details about French corsairs and their sea interactions with the English and the Spanish. He doesn't like to be contradicted or challenged.
All visits are guided and in French only. Much of it concerns the history of the corsairs.
Excellent visit with a well informed, funny, entertaining, engaging and patient guide who made history come to life by telling us surprising stories, enacting scenes and revealing secrets of times gone by + answering lots of questions and giving plenty of explanations and details. Despite the house itself and displays being limited to several rooms, the visit was made memorable and enriching; the corsairs suddenly seemed approachable and their adventures intertwined with day to day life, were described with insightful and rich historical background. The rise and fall and rise again of the town of Saint Malo makes for a fascinating story. A very enjoyable visit (in French) that I would highly recommend.

We were on our first ferry today. It was amazing. We'll run. Super fun. Very friendly and comfortable.
Condor from St Malo to Poole was disorganised . Poor food options , bread and cakes . Staff super rude and poor educated and only able to speak one language . Broken tables and cold air con of full blast on a cold morning . No managers to speak to and if something goes wrong you by yourself . Made me feel uncomfortable and harassed . Poor customer service . Disgusted with the service provided. One of them send me in a front of car moving and the security was shouting sac sac immediately I enter the seating area . No good morning nothing what kind of service is this ?
Easy to find the ferry port. Very helpful and friendly staff around there. Nice littel mobile cafe with a very friendly lady in there. Easy and not expensive to use you last lose change with a variety of coffees and bakery , and she was flexible when you are short of your last dimes.
Excellent service and ease of access being so close to St. Malo Very good Duty free.
So much to see and the local shops and restaurants are fantastic. Wondering through the old streets what a pleasure and a feast for the eyes. Going to have to revisit just to see the thing's we missed.
Great service as always. Quick process through the passport control and await boarding. Once on board settled into our cabin on the new ship. Then a drink before dinner we enjoyed our meal and the servicecas good as was the food.
Love this shop my favourite of all of the France crossings , staff are very friendly the entertainment is good restaurants nice don't expect cheap prices , highly clean the cabins very clean , shops have a good choice on board , what don't I like .... Be careful when buying perfumes more expensive than the hight street most of them . Le jardine cafe breakfast is not great and could be more deals on board .
The best way to travel especially if you’re taking a pet with you, and an interesting culture and art gallery.

Amazing staff who treated us wonderfully and we weren't even guests! We went a couple of times to the bar and had lunch there and stayed a while on our last day. Gwen at reception was just brilliant, so helpful and friendly and helped us a lot. Flo on the bar and restaurant has the nicest smile in St Malo and the warmest welcome. Outstanding service and friendliness. Cannot wait to visit them on our next trip to St Malo. Thank you! 🙏 Christian and Maria
The hotel has clearly been designed by someone with more experience of low security prisons than hospitality. Some rooms (with the air conditioning not working) were unbearably hot and we had to be moved. The night reception staff was very helpful but, overall, the hotel needs a management style more adapted to a 4 star establishment than a ymca, no offer was made to look after our luggage, etc, etc.
Upscale, comfortable rooms. Buffet breakfast was nice, but they didn't refill hot dishes fast enough when crowded. Our room had a strange layout with the toilet "closet" off on one end of the room. There was a step down to get to it, and was a hazard when getting up at night to go. Location is great, right in the middle of the old town.
Modern hotel, great design detail and interesting artworks. The staff, all so welcoming and efficient. Downside's, bar, lounge and terrace food menu state open until 22.00hrs, on request at 20.30hrs told nothing available. A 4* hotel that can't feed it's residents mid evening? Having said that, and now I know that limitation, I would not hesitate in visiting again.
Beautiful looking hotel but as we found with a lot of French hotels, not really very practical. Staff were efficient rather than friendly. Biggest problem for us was that there was absolutely no-where to put your clothes to unpack in your room apart from a small hanging section so everything else stays in your case. No-where to put your case for easy access so literally it stays on the floor and you scrabble around on the hard floor to get your clothes out. Probably ok for 1 night stay but any longer ( we stayed 2 nights) and you may find that an issue as we did. The manager did kindly offer to move us to a suite for the 2nd night but we didnt want to spend part of our only full day there moving rooms ! We did manage to get a folding suitcase stand given to us once we'd complained about the lack of storage. We were told the lack of storage was " due to the architects design " which kinda set the tone for the whole hotel. Bathroom all ok, not very private but functional. Breakfast was very underwhelming but why eat a bland hotel breakfast when you have wonderful restaurants, bars, cafes and bakeries on your doorstep. We didn't use the bar or the restaurant for that reason so cant comment on those. Great location close to everything and St Malo is gorgeous. Good double glazing so quiet. Wouldn't return to this hotel as we would prefer a bit more function and comfort over style and a friendlier atmosphere so it just isnt our cup of tea. However St Malo is a definite to return to but for slightly longer next time. BTW don't lose or dispose of the water bottle in your room or you'll be fined 40 euros !!!
This is a nice hotel in old town Saint Malo. It’s a bit hard to get to it with a car since Google maps got lost. The rooms are nice and the staff is very friendly. We didn’t order breakfast, but there is a great bakery few meters away. It’s very close to restaurants and shops.
Everything about the hotel was wonderful including location, cleanliness and professionalism of staff. Would highly recommend. If we are ever fortunate enough to return to beautiful San Malo, we will stay here again.
The best location and super practical comfortable modern rooms. Dog friendly and underground parking right in front the hotel. Service could be better as the place seems understaffed to meet client demands. It's also very difficult to find the parking or the exit of intra murros with all the one way streets which Google Maps, Flitsmeister nor Car navigation do not recognize. Don't rely on navigation but rather on street signs.

Small island, accessible on foot at low tide, with a Vauban-designed fort dating to 1689.
Slide 1 of 8
We didn't actually go inside the Fort (there is a charge to enter) but we wanted to walk up to it as not often have the chance to go on a tidal causeway! Fortunately the tide was out and it was worth visiting the island for the views.
A beautiful fort on the smaller island. This is a tidal island so when the tide is low, one can walk to it. Unfortunately the fort wasn't open when we were there but the views from the island are magnificent. Make sure you look back to the walled city when walking to the island.
At the end of the 17th century, maritime warfare between the French, English and Dutch wreaked havoc. In the heart of this economic and military battle, Saint-Malo was on the way to become the main port of France. So it became urgent to defend the famous corsair city whose strategic position was of first importance. For this purpose, Louis XIV commissioned the architect Vauban to implement a military defense. Vauban created an ambitious defense system that perfectly integrated the geography of the coasts and possible maritime attacks. At the heart of this system of fortifications is the Petit Bé. A flag is raised to indicate that the fort is open to the public.
The walking path to this fort is easy once you have low tide. Just make sure to check the opening timing sometimes they change the opening hours.
Good to look at, but can’t go inside on the day I visited. You can walk up to the front gate during low tide to get a higher view of the surroundings, but grand be has the better views.
Fort on a small island just off the coast of Saint-Malo. Accessible on foot only at low tides during so called 'grandes marées'.
Not worth entering in (3€) but worth walking around when water is low. It doesn’t matter what weather is there - it’s always making impression.
Worth the walk and a slight scramble to the fort. Well preserved and excellent guides. Good view of St. Malo.

The visit of L’Etoile du Roy was an extraordinary experience, not only exciting but also incredibly educational. The ship's historic atmosphere, paired with detailed insights into maritime life and seafaring made the stay (round about 1h) truly special. The "crew" (espacially Jorge, Marie and Emerick - many thanks to the warm welcome abord and the kind words to the three of you) was friendly and knowledgeable, and it's clear how much dedication goes into preserving and presenting this floating piece of history. Highly recommended for history enthusiasts, families, or anyone wanting to immerse themselves in another era!
A small frigate, very limited open area, nothing to see. Save your money, same price in holland you can visit a whole ship and every deck of it, even try the pulley system and etc yourself.
Ship closes for an hour between 13:00-14:00. Went to visit at 11:30 and got rudely told that we couldn't enter because she was on break, even though there where other visitors walking around. The ticket expense wasn't worth it after that, so we chose visit something else.
Beautiful historical ship, great tour organized by Laurence. Would highly recommend!
I brought me 16-year-old lad to Saint-Malo for some father-son bonding, and what better way to do it than aboard a full-sized, honest-to-Neptune pirate ship! L’Étoile du Roi—“The King's Star” they call it, but I be thinkin’ she’s more like “The Black Pearl's Well-Mannered Cousin.” She’s a grand vessel, all ropes and cannons and enough timber to make a Viking weep. As soon as we set foot on deck, me son turned into Jack Sparrow and I became Captain Dad-beard. I even attempted a pirate accent, which made him pretend not to know me. A proud parenting moment. We climbed the rigging (with our eyes, not our limbs—insurance doesn’t cover spontaneous swashbuckling), explored the captain’s quarters, and gazed wistfully at the cannons wondering if we could fire just one. (Spoiler: ye may not.) The crew—museum staff dressed like landlubbers but friendly enough—answered our questions without even once making us walk the plank for our dad jokes. They told tales of naval battles, the corsairs of Saint-Malo, and the general hygiene conditions of the 18th century, which convinced my son that he would’ve lasted about six minutes in the real pirate era. “No Wi-Fi and dysentery? I’m out.” The ship be a beauty, restored with care and polished until ye can see your reflection and regret that second croissant. In short: if ye find yerself in Saint-Malo with a teen who needs a break from TikTok and ye long for the sea breeze in yer face and the faint aroma of historical wood polish in yer nostrils, L’Étoile du Roi is the place. Avast ye boredom! Bring a hat, bring a sense of adventure, and prepare to call everyone “matey” until they ask you—politely but firmly—to stop. Yours in rumless reverie, Captain Midlife Crisis and First Mate Eye-roll (age 16)

Really cool. Great for kids and adults.
(Translated by Google) It's a wonderful discovery to visit a ship like this. It allows you to discover what life on board a Corsair must have been like. Although I think it lacks a bit of authenticity to truly transport you, that's normal, as the ship is used for many events. The team was very friendly. The ship is magnificent. It's worth a visit; the children loved discovering all this. (Original) Belle découverte, que de visiter un navire comme celui-ci. Very cool to see during low tide!
François-René, vicomte de Chateaubriand (1768–1848) was a highly influential French writer, politician, diplomat, and historian. He is widely considered the founder of French Romanticism. He requested to be buried here with a plaque that says "A great French writer wished to rest here, to hear only the sea and the wind. Passers-by respect his last wish.". A beautiful resting place with a beautiful view.

Great visit. We learned a lot not just about Cartier but about navigation. We loved all the explanations and anecdotes.
Good tour&guide a little difficult to completely enjoy the experience when you don't speak french
A 25 minute walk inland from bus stop. Long even road. Nice walk. Visit includes a short video and guided tour. Museum really well put together. Lasted 1 hour. I had contacted them before arriving and they had a guide who spoke English to show us 2 around. It was lovely. Worth going to.
Great Place to visit for Canadians, but also the others Lots of activities for kids while you are waiting for a guided tour (or after).
Interesting museum for people who are interested in French Canada’s history. The museum is very small and doesn’t have much stuff but it is staffed by helpful young people.
We really enjoyed this very interesting visit. The guide was clearly passionate and knowledgeable about Jacques Cartier, the history of navigation and Saint Malo. The gift store has lovely things, sold at a reasonable price. Attn: you must deserve to visit.
Excellent guided tour of just over an hour. Interesting history of the man who discovered Canada, how they used to live in those days and also how they counted time & navigated before clocks & GPS were invented.
Cannot leave a review as we had no chance to enter. You have to travel very far to see it. On google the time table is not added, the website is outdated, on the booklet one information is written and in reality we were told that they have a lunch break and museum is closed and that we can go inside only with the tour guide and it is only in the certain hours.

A really great place, safe clean beach bathing for all, children loved it! Sandy with rock outcrops. Hard to believe it was all bombed so intensively in the second world war! There's a beach bar and loads of corse sand. Steps lead up to the walled town nearby and the wall to walk round at the top too.
Nice beach, great views. Love it at low tide, people collecting mussels and you can walk on rocks usually hidden in the water
Beautiful view of the open ocean also in veiw of watching the in comming ferry's stunning water and ilads surrounding in the water
Beautiful walk, excellent views! Good to stretch your legs and take in the atmosphere.
Great beach! Dogs are not allowed on the beach until 19.00.
Lovely sandy beach, great views, historic location.
