Top beloved sightseeing place in Zell am See. Splendid! How wonderful is it to hiking on the top of mountain! We had great luck with nice weather and took the Panorama route to the top, it was nice and enjoyable tour that guarantee majority of visitors could have a great hike. Panoramic view down to the lake and village is absolutely gorgeous. Entry fee is a bit costly but it is worth after all.
It is one of the must visit mountains around Zell am See. We did paragliding here and it was awesome. You can look at the pictures to see a view. We visited in Summer time so it was nice view, but it can be great place to Skii as well. You need to take the ropeway to go up the hill, of course, you can walk, but can be tough.
Amazing ski area with many slopes and lifts. The views are amazing. There is cool small wooden capple at the top
Enjoy it for free with Zell am see Kaprun Card, the views are Awesome from above, there is a lot of hiking waiting for you and maybe you will want to fly with barashot.
LOVE it!!!!!! The view is amazzzzzzzing and astonishing. It’s a nice view for Zell am see👌. There’s place for hiking and restaurants.
Nice mountain, excellent skiing area, place to enjoy, little bit crowdy
A wonderful place to walk and explore. The map marker is in the wrong place but guess it won't affect too many using a car satnav but it is confusing for walkers.
Avoid this ski area in February if you're a good skier. Too crowded ski slopes with too many begginers. Better to skip this place and rather to ski in Saalbach area

One of the most beautiful lakes I have ever seen. Wonderful views with the Alps in the background. Great place to swim, boat or just walk around and enjoy yourself.
A Serene Escape to Zell am See Lake My visit to Zell am See Lake was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the heart of the Austrian Alps, the lake offered stunning views in every direction—crystal-clear waters framed by snow-capped peaks and lush greenery. Whether you’re into scenic walks, boat rides, or just soaking in the tranquility, this place has something for everyone. The promenade around the lake was perfect for a leisurely stroll, and I especially loved stopping at the small cafes that offered delicious local pastries and coffee with unbeatable lake views. The water was so clear that you could see the reflections of the mountains dancing on the surface—truly postcard perfect. I also took a boat cruise which was a peaceful way to admire the surroundings from a different perspective. Zell am See town itself was charming, with its alpine architecture, cozy restaurants, and friendly locals. If you’re looking for a destination that combines natural beauty with a peaceful atmosphere, Zell am See Lake is a must-visit. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning my return.
It is one of the most beautiful lakes I have seen. The place is really quiet and clean. You can enjoy having a picnic there. You can also swim in the lake or ride your bike by the lake. I also saw a lot of boats with many people on them so I guess you can book a ride. There were also small boats that you can rent for a specific amount of time private with your family. As for the town, it was a nice small cozy town, you can walk around and see the colourful small houses. Bus stations were close and you could reach them on foot. So whether you are a biker, a family or a couple, you can enjoy the place there on a sunny day 🙌
Sept 22nd, 2025 Nice lake, lots of tourists though
The lake is simply breathtaking, surrounded by mountains and offering clear, calm waters perfect for a walk, a boat ride, or even swimming in the summer. The promenade is very clean and well-maintained, with plenty of benches to relax and enjoy the view. Watching the sunset over the lake was one of the highlights of my trip to Zell am See. Truly a peaceful and unforgettable place.
Lake Zell am See is absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water, surrounded by snow-capped mountains,it feels like a dream. Perfect for walking, swimming, or just relaxing by the shore. One of the most beautiful lakes in Austria!
Beautiful lake for swimming, boating and paddleboarding. The views are beautiful in all directions. Even though there are plenty of boats on the lake, it's easy to find a quiet spot for a swim. Highly recommend getting a pedalo to explore the lake
Nice lake located at the central area of Zell am see. However, better and more beautiful alternative lakes located at the surrounding regions! I should say, it is overrated!

U can visit this wonderful place from two lines of cable car, one is included fully in zell am see and kaprun card, the other is partially included (u have to pay for the interim 3K line) the place is wonderfull, the cable car is pretty fast, about 25-30 minutes to elrwach the place, when u reach the intermediate station it is recommended to step and take photos of the wonderful scenery out there, when u each the last station u will step into an elevator to reach the 3029 peak and the nice restaurent there.
What a experience. 4 lifts to the top and continual new views. Always cold if autumn or winter so rug up.
An unforgettable experience. It's quite a process to get to the top but so worth it. Even on a day with bad weather and hardly any view we still enjoyed it. Thank you to the staff that work there every day. I can see they must have quite an adventure just getting to work every day.
Its a wonderful mountain where u can enjoy skiing ⛷️ and also u can feel the beauty of snow ❄️ into this time meet different cultures of People..also u can enjoy having a warm cappuccino at the top 3000 meters above the sea level .during weekends it's really crowded but u can see people scattered all over the mountain..I love really the place and how it was organised well
For me, the most beautiful areas and activities are in Zee lam see . The view of the snow is amazing, and going up to the top requires riding four cable cars. It is a wonderful adventure. You can also play in the snow at the top.
Amazing views well worth the time and effort. If you are in the area for a while DO NOT pay the day rate for the cable car it is much better to get a summerland card as the cable car is included in that ticket along with loads of other stuff. So if you are in the area for a a couple of days do the sums! Take free the tour at 1PM as well the guide was great. If you are English and using translate be sure to download the languages as you will lose signal on the tour. Oh and don't be so lazy WALK up from 4 to to the top don't take the funicular to lazy get!
Exceptional sights, the way up with the cable cars is amazing, but the view from the top is even better
It takes 4 lifts to get to the top of the mountain (3000m) we didn't come in winter but there was still heaps of snow and it was amazing.

We have spent 4 hours here and we found it lovely. It’s good for kids. The water is quite cold. The view of the mountains is amazing. You can do a lot of water activities: paddling, swimming, motor boat or just relax.
This little beach access club and pool is amazing! You can rent sun beds and umbrellas as well. (Beds are about 3-4 Euro and umbrellas a similar price). Go as soon as they open (9am when we were there) in the morning to avoid the crowds. The lake is so clear and clean it’s just beautiful. Saw some decent sized fish trying to swim up the run off stream as well which was fun! The best part is that you get in for free with the Summer Card that you receive when staying at the hotel. Highly recommend spending time here!
Cool place to be when in Zell am See. Swimming pools are clean despite being august and it's full of people. The lake is beautiful, very clean water, a delight to swim in it
You can use this Lido with the summer card available free from selected accommodations. You can swim in the lake from here or hire boats/paddle. Cafe on site. Recommend the diving platform which is in the other half of the complex to the pool (quieter side away from smaller children).
The place is nice, not that expensive but... I came by Sommer Karte but they do not provide key for locker. To get the locker key they require to reenter and pay full entrance price, which is total absurd. The rest is just fine. I’ve been when it was pretty cloudy and rainy with kids, and there was literally nobody else, it was working only for us.
Was really nice, pitty that weather wasn't 100% but enjoyed it. Clean, stuff to rent (subboards, boats etc) great place to spend the day. Good restaurant upstairs. Just by the lake, great views, goos dressing rooms, showers, toilets, lockers with lock's. Take your own food and drinks or order there. Prices are acceptable.
Very nice place. Free with the 'summer card' we got from our hotel. There is a pool (not heated) with a slide and some places where you can find some shade. Perfect for a warm day.
A small paradise in the heart of Europe, surrounded by mountains and a lake on which you can take a cruise or rent a boat. A swimming pool in such a place is a perfect place to spend a few hours between discovering Austria.

A fun fountain show! It runs for about 7-8 minutes in the daylight during the afternoons. There's a longer show on certain evenings during the summer with colourful lights. If you're on a pedalo or hiring a boat in Zell am See, it's worth timing a trip around the lake to see the fountains
A must-see performance in Zell am See! I never imagined a fountain show could be this beautiful. We watched the rock symphony show — a truly unique experience. Make sure to arrive early to get a good spot, as it gets very crowded.
It's not my first time to visit this place, but in summer, this is my first time, Got a chance to ride an electrical boat (rented for 28 euro) 30 min self drive eboat till 5 pm, and the dancing fountain was nice too. I was lucky to reach on time of start
Nice , much creative than Dubai. Show starts 9.30
Zell am See in Austria is the best destination I have ever visited. Its beauty and charm is captivating and there is so much to explore there, the Zell lake boat cruise, the evening light show, the hydro dam, smaller pleasure boats and the cable car 🚠 There are ample shops both gift and boutiques, plenty of choices to eat, and the people are charming. There is a main train station in the centre and everything is in walking distance. We stayed at the Hotel Zum Hirschen which was excellent in every way. Don’t pass up the chance to go, but please treat the place with respect.
A must-see in Zell am See! The Magic Lake Show was a fantastic rock music performance, and we truly enjoyed every moment of it.
Great show, recomend to see if in Zell am see, but get there early for better view.
Nice fountain show on the lake.

Nice 25m pool. Watar was in comfortable temperature. Parking possible with fee. Locker room available. Front desk lady is nice and friendly. I forgot my swimming shorts next day i got it from them. With Zellam See Summer card free entry per day once. But it is not Worth it with 10+euro. I am giving 5 star because I got my swimming shorts back and it was free with my summer card.
The pool is a nice 25 meters long, but swimming laps can be a bit challenging since there are no dedicated lanes. It's suitable for a recovery swim after a day of hiking. The hammam is included. The slide is for 8+ only. And there is no time limit for use. However, it is a bit pricey; we paid 44 euros for two adults and one child
Shittiest pool if you actually want to go swimming. 19 euro per person, buys you a great time if you want to enjoy the "not swimmer area" or jump off the 1 or 3 meter springboard (into the swimmers area). They have a nice small Dampfbad.
Quite expensive. Not really worth it. Slide is fun but after we went down a couple time we were told to stop deu to the drainage being overwhelmed. Food was not great. Quite greasy and over cooked
Nice pool for having fun and relaxing. Everything is nice and clean and the bistro food is good too. The only problem is that the layout of the men's shower leaves a gap so that all the people in the pool can look inside!
Really fun slide with a big pool, and a small diving board and a tall diving board
Very good service beautiful Ice Arena & Swimming pool. Nice restaurant bistro.
The pool is a small (25m) pool and basically leaves no room to swim lanes and train. The pool has a marked area for swimmers and non swimmer leaving only around 15 meters to swim lanes. With the price of around 19€ per person it is tremendously overpriced.

We had an amazing time on this wonderful train. The trip through the countryside is absolutely breathtaking, the scenery is amazing and constantly changes as the journey goes on. The train staff were fantastic, our reserved seats were clearly marked and really easy to find. A variety of food and drinks was available on both outward and return trips at a very reasonable cost. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly recommend a trip if you arein the area!
We had a blast traveling around on the local train . It was clean and always on time. We also made a special trip on the old timer. The steam train Pinzgauer -Local train to Mittersill, with a beautiful view of the landscape. This old timer is 110 years old
Pinzgauer Lokalbahn is an excellent option to go for a day in the countryside. The nostalgic locomotives take you through a lovely journey with amazing landscapes. Good service on board and very friendly staff. I recommend hopping off on Krimml, where you can see the waterfalls, which are unbelievably beautiful
Narrow gauge railway Zell am See to Krimml. Catch the steam train that runs on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Takes around three hours one way. Line runs along a broad valley with good views ending at the Krimml waterfalls. On the way back travel on the balcony immediately behind the steam loco and get the full blast from the loco working hard blowing its whistle. Be prepared for a face full steam and smoke. Great! a must do for all steam fans.
Complete disaster. In fact transport of buses only one a day with very early reservation by call (max 20 bikes) . No possibility to buy tickets online. They are supposed to ensure the transport to most famous bike route in austria but instead make it not workable.
Excellent experience, very friendly, helpful staff. Would recommend it beautiful sights and don't forget to try the local sausage cooked on the engine.
Super railway service a must if you are here

Beautiful ancient church. I attended Mass in July 2025, which was at 10.30 am on Sunday. They have missals in the pews that contain the order of mass and the hymns. The organist was very good and the congregation was small but I felt as welcome as at any other church.
The church is located in the middle of the old town. It was closed in the early evening so we couldn't get inside. From outside building looks quite nice.

Small casino but it has everything you need. The croupiers did a good job and often cracked a joke. Minimum amount to play with is €30, you get them in gold coins and you have to play them. Gold coins can't be changed to your own money again. The start amount on the tables was max. €5 but at some tables it was also possible to play with €2,50. Casino had a real pleasant atmosphere and looked modern, would definitely visit this place again even though I lost all the money I started with.
The games have an awful house edge/RTP. The blackjack pays 6:5 which is close to 2% edge while a normal one should be around 0.72%. Roulette has double 0's which means the edge is 5.4% and is doubled compared to the 2.7% standart. I have no idea what would it be for slots, but I woukd say way worse than both of the games combined. If your still going there, just remember the odds are bad and to not bet a lot, just enjoy your time. Drinks are expensive as well as super basic.
This is a very small casino. The slots are decent, but the vibe just isn’t there. They also allow their last guest in at 1 am, when it shuts at 2 am, which I personally find annoying. I didn’t see anyone win anything big while I was there, and I certainly didn’t myself. It can be fun, but definitely not a casino I would go around recommending.
Small little casino in Zell Am See. Part of beautiful Grand Hotel.
Most rigged casino ever. On black jack everytime a certain person is dealing the cards they manage to hit 6 times in a row 20s and 21s ontop of it. Also depending of the time u play on the table and depending how many people there are they will also bit 20s and 21s. If the casino is full they will give the wins more often to keep people in if the casino is empty they will just eat whatever they can. I know this because everytime there was a certain woman sitting on it I started avoiding her and started sitting when I saw a certain man there and surprise surprise me won everytime with the man but everytime I tried with the woman to give the benefit of the doubt boom loss. Avoid it
Very bad casino , they will charge you every time u come inside !!! And why they casino closed ??? Where in world casino closed ??? Also not worth to play there at all , you will never win something or anyone around
Need to buy 30euro in special chips to enter, which you can't change back into your own money. Have to lose them on the games. Expensive drinks. Dealers are friendly. Don't bother.
I won and got 30 free spins but still I don't know, Why the game should be "stop by attendant" while I was playing the slots? Not satisfied at all...

Super value, not too crowded, not that expensive and the pool is amazing. Grass is well kept and soft and lots of changing facilities, very clean and spacious. The pool bar/restaurant is self service, atmosphere is good but the food is very limited, which is a shame given the fantastic location. Highly recommend this place!!
Its a great outdoor pool by the lake. Clean and well organised. It can get busy in the peak period and the service from staff is abrupt and unfriendly. Not sure why you need to pay extra to get a sun umbrella after you already paid to get into the park area and there is no shaded area so you don't have any other option. There are no free changing rooms so need to use the public toilets which is uncomfortable. Not the best lakeside beach but it's ok if you are in the area and happy to pay extra for things that you will get for free on another beach.
Free large car park (gets full) Lovely grass areas Lovely pool Perfect lake access Watersports hire if you want it Hire of umbrella and beds if needed. Great views of Zell and Kitzsteinhorn 19 euro for 2 adults and 3 small children. Free compressor for inflation of water toys Gets busy - but access is a premium around the lake.
Amazing place with amazing view
Jugend is between 16 and 18 not like below 26 in Vienna 😁
Very nice! Changing rooms, toilets, options to rent a stand up paddle, pool next to the lake,... very good!
Such a beautiful lake - water, view, everything and there is a nice water sport company besides it. The receptionist was very kind and allowed us to go through and speak to the watersport company Sadly, when we arrived there was slight rain so didn’t even get a chance to spend time there. Instead, we ended up swimming for free in the lake at a spot one minute walk to the left (at Lindenallee road)
Clean bathrooms and lots of changing cubicles/showers. The outdoor pool is only 90cm deep which is great for kids. The sea itself gets deep rather quickly, but the water is clean and refreshing. Definitely worth the visit when it's 30 degrees!

Nice location. If largely occupied, the air tends to get stiff in certain rooms within a couple of hours.
Attended a work conference here, the centre is new and very well equipped. The large conference room has excellent sound and stage.
Well organized and efficient conference centre. I was there for the Ironman70.3 race and the structure served perfectly as race headquarters.
