Sigmund Thun Gorge is a seasonal attraction known for its iconic waterfall, which can be observed from wooden steps. Families can embark on an unforgettable adventure through the 320-meter deep gorge, where the Kaprun Flood has left its mark on the rocky river banks. The rushing waters create a rainforest-like atmosphere, offering a refreshing experience.
Really enjoyed our trip here. Very well done, recently built and good facilities. Wasn’t busy when we went so ample opportunity for photos. Can even pop into the power station to see what goes on in there. Not too expensive either considering how much work has been put into it.
Bunch690 — Google review
Depending on the time of day you can book tickets so you enter faster, it's usually more crowded in the morning. Plenty of parking spots available (4 parking areas). Be sure not to miss the panorama after visiting the gorge. When you exit, go left, follow the green trail and after a couple of meters follow the sign to Burgkogel on the left - 5 min hike and then you reach a great observation point above the lake. If you follow the trail further you get to the parking areas.
Bogdan Z — Google review
The trip through the gorge is quite short, so I recommend taking your time to explore it, stopping along the way to take photos and admire the view. Bring a rainjacket with you because it’s going to be pretty wet. It’s definitely worth visiting
Silvia — Google review
What we did accidentally: Drove by all the parking spaces got to the top of the gorge, found enough parking space there, hiked 20 minutes down to the entrance of the gorge, admired what nature provides. Then I recommend to take a bath in the ice cold Ache river at the end, head back to your car, be mentaly enriched and soulfully refreshed! What a wonderful time we had!
Patrick B — Google review
Visiting Sigmund Thun Klamm was one of the highlights of our trip to Kaprun. The gorge is absolutely stunning, with crystal-clear turquoise water rushing through dramatic rock formations and wooden walkways that let you experience the power of nature up close. The paths are well maintained and safe, making it enjoyable for families, couples, or solo travelers. The walk isn’t too long, but every step offers something new—towering cliffs, refreshing waterfalls, and peaceful forest surroundings at the top. It’s the perfect mix of adventure and relaxation. I especially loved the sound of the water echoing through the gorge—it felt both powerful and calming at the same time. It’s an easy activity to fit into your day in Kaprun, and the scenery makes it unforgettable. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area—it’s a natural wonder you shouldn’t miss!
Said A — Google review
Nice, well maintained gorge and walking path. Yes there are stairs but they are spread out so it’s a pretty easy walk. The gorge itself is beautiful and at the top is a lake. FYI, the driving directions didn’t take us to the parking area- so just keep driving up the road and you will see signs for the lots.
Sara S — Google review
Very accessible and relativly short circular trail around the Klamm waterfalls. We took around one hour to complete the entire 6km route while enjoying the scenery. The first part is made of wooden platforms and stairs, and then the trail becomes as flat as it gets. It's perfect for a quick visit or a relaxing day trip. There are many benches and places to rest along the trail, as well as photo corners.
Marta S — Google review
We went here with our Sommerkarte for free and what surprised us, that there was no queue at all. It was windy and all the water from the small and big waterfalls felt like a breeze in the sea 😅 To be honest it felt good. You need to be careful to not slip on the pathways because there is a lot of water here. But it was a great experience and we loved it a lot. I think that’s the second best thing in the town of Kaprun , the first is Kitzsteinhorn ))

Alpine Coaster Kaprun is a family-friendly mountain resort offering year-round entertainment, including the Maisiflitzer Alpine Coaster. This thrilling 1.3 km track allows riders to reach speeds of up to 40 km/h as they race down towards the valley, encountering bridges, waves, jumps, and banked loops along the way. The coaster provides an adrenaline rush for both kids and adults.
Our experience at Maisi Flitzer in Kaprun was unforgettable! We visited on a cloudy day with light drizzle that quickly turned into a heavy thunderstorm. Despite the weather, it was an absolute blast! Racing down the track with raindrops falling added a thrilling twist to the adventure. The unpredictable weather made the ride even more memorable, creating unique memories that we will cherish. Highly recommend it for a fun and exhilarating experience, no matter the weather!
Salama D — Google review
It is very nice. I recommend on doing part of the trip by foot and go back with the carts. The self drive carts are short but nice experience for the kids!
Adi D — Google review
The track feels very repetitive, with the same style and a series of similar turns. I find it extremely overpriced, and I don’t think it’s fair that the fee is charged per person rather than per sled
Péter S — Google review
Its an amazing experience i highly recommend if you have summer card its not included you have to pay 15 euros for adults
Najiba A — Google review
The waiting line for the slides is quite long - we waited about 45 mins. But sliding was really fun - longer than the common. If you are more than one person, I recommand starting to wait in line and that one of you will go buying the tickets (didn't see a waiting line there) while the waiting time.

Maisi Flitzer is an exciting alpine coaster in Kaprun that’s fun for both kids and adults. The ride takes you down the mountain on a twisting track with beautiful views all around. You can control your own speed, so it’s as thrilling or relaxing as you want it to be. It’s safe, well-organized, and a fantastic activity to add some adrenaline to your trip. Great for families or groups of friends.

Nestled in the picturesque region, Tauern Spa Therme offers a glimpse into the area's rich history through visits to museums like Kaprun Museum and National Park Gallery. The resort provides top-notch service with friendly staff and breathtaking views of snow-covered mountains.
This must be my favourite hotel of all time. The staff was very welcoming, even though we arrived very late. Well, after check-in, we were warmly welcomed. Rooms were spotless, made with attention, and we had a couple of little gifts on our bed waiting for us, everything to make us feel like our stay was important, and attention to detail was very well considered. The next morning, we were welcomed to a delicious breakfast with a variety. I have never seen such a large selection of local products before. Again, attention to detail was thought after here as well. The infinity pool and spa area provided an even more relaxing experience. If we had more time, we would’ve loved to stay longer; however, we will be doing a detour to return to enjoy this beautiful place again. And finally at checkout, the staff was very warm and welcoming, providing us with a comfortable feeling.
Driving R — Google review
Cool therme, quite big in size, 3 outdoor pools. I liked the clearness of the water, but thar was missing in the changing room. Maybe more signs and explanations of the areas would help. The restaurant was nice with decent prices. Maybe some more fun needs to be added, the place is soulless. Overall a nice experience, I would go there again, and I am also recommending it.
Vlsn S — Google review
We visited the spa as day guests, not as hotel residents. Overall we were satisfied with the facilities. Everything was spotlessly clean, the equipment was modern, and the whole place had an elegant feel. The reason for my 4-star rating is that only after entering did we learn that the Gletscherblick pool, the beautiful glass-walled panoramic pool at the very top of the spa, is reserved exclusively for hotel guests. That entire floor was off limits to us, which was disappointing. As day visitors, we had access to only three indoor and three outdoor pools for 33 euros per person, and this ticket was valid for only three hours without sauna access. The two restaurants on site did not appeal to our taste. They seemed more on the luxury side, which might be perfect for some visitors but was not what we were looking for. The indoor pools were fairly standard, with water temperatures around 30°C, one lazy river, and several massage jets. There is also a separate children's area, which we did not visit. The outdoor pools offer a nice mountain view even from the lower level, with two regular pools and one lap pool. The changing rooms, showers, and restrooms were exceptionally clean and clearly well maintained, which was a big plus.
Aszi Á — Google review
Great place to spend around 2-3 hours as a Tourist. It takes around 1 1/2 hours to get here from Salzburg. Pools were well heated. But not everything is as advertised in the website or in GetYourGuide/Klook, some parts of it are exclusively reserved for the Hotel Guests, if you’re staying here it would definitely be worth it. Bring your own towels to save money. But definitely worth it to spend around half a day leisurely. Try to be here around 4 and leave around 8’ish, that way you experience the Pools both in light and in the night. Wonderful Mountain views before it gets dark.
Chandramouli P — Google review
Nice and well kept. Good place but value for money is not so good. Gastein Therme is much cheaper and the solarium is included. At Tauern Spa the cost is 20% higher and solarium is not included.
Dave R — Google review
We had an amazing day at the SPA with our family (3 kids: 14yrs, 13yrs and 10yrs). We booked tickets in advance and when we arrived there was a sign that they are full and no additional people (who have not booked tickets in advance) were allowed. That was really good as therefore the place was not too packed. We had some tasty dinner and enjoyed the saunas and pools. The place has a nice size, not too big but big enough to spend a few hours.
Benjamin R — Google review
Excellent location for a relaxing evening after ski. Prices are more than affordable regarding to offer. 26€ adult and 13€ kids for 3h or after 18:00 🕕. 3 adults indoor pools, one kids indoor pool and 2 outdoor warm pools.
Cata — Google review
Very very good resort. The top first resort I've ever been to. All the employees were very kind. Always smile and serve well in the restaurant. This resort provides electric bikes, and it was powerfully enjoyed. The scenery was breathtaking. I can see the mountain covered with ice. Also, the private spa for the residents was an infinity view. Public spas are also extensive and beautiful. This resort also has saunas. Well, Am See was very close. All the Kaprun places were close too. During the summer season, Tauern Spa provides transport tickets. If you want to go from Zell Am See station, you need to take a bus. Overall, I will visit here again, and I wish to have a good memory.

Adeg Supermarkt, located at the bottom of the Maiskogel, is a convenient stop for those looking to save money on mountain lunches or stock up on groceries. The store offers a great range of products including hot and cold sandwiches at affordable prices. It also provides underwear for men and women, making it a one-stop shop for essentials. Visitors appreciate its reasonable prices compared to typical tourist spots and note that it opens in the morning despite online information suggesting otherwise.

Great store, sells a great range of groceries. Also some underware for men and women. Got me out of trouble on a Sunday. Although Google says it opens at 14.00 hrs on Sunday it actually opens in the morning which after arriving late on Saturday with no food enable us to stock up on the required groceries. Actually unlike the previous review I think the prices are reasonable. Not like the rip off prices usually seen for tourists. Like the post above, the clever brand is great value and price.

Amazing, tasty food, (beautiful presentation of the food as well), very friendly and quick service. I tried the local Weißbier, it was very tasty, try it if you get the chance. It's a bit pricier but it's still in line with the value that you get for your money. Highly recommend.

One of the finest culinary experiences not only from Kaprun but from entire Salzburg area! We are experienced food travellers/tourists and this restaurant completely fulfills our requirements: local (reinterpreted) food, international ones and the deserts are quite something. We tried rib eye for two, mushroom soup, surf and turf, veal and salad, trout and a terrific tafelspitz. All the waiters were kind and attentive. 5 full stars even it’s not cheap. Well worth a visit or two or three when you want to eat good!

Amaizing place, very friendly staff, and super tasty food. Enyoyed my schnitzel very much. They also have very big selection of cakes and icecreams.

Overrated. Beef goulash is very good but we ordered bratwurst which has a good taste but it was like a cremwurst(like a paste inside, didn’t see the schreded meat). The worst was the beef entrecote, the most expensive and it came cold. I gave it back and they warmed it (it’s a steak, yes?!) in the oven probably which made the meat hard to cut and tasteless. Not coming back

Good food, big portions and nice people. We ate one goulash soup, one snitzel and one special ribs (2 pers) and it was a lot more than we could handle. So order accordingly. Everything was delicious

0! 0! Sensitivity or awareness to people with allergies. They don't have a menu with allergens or have any idea what's in their own dishes. Our waitress Eva was completely rude and told me that whatever vegan dish was also gluten-free, she also told me I should be the one to know what I could eat and what not. Then, I ordered a meat tartar WITHOUT bread, and I did not only get a bread basket, but a piece of bread sticked in my tartar. Restaurant owners: YOU CAN SEND SOMEONE TO THE HOSPITAL when you dont train your staff or have an allergen menu!!!!

Fantastic experience! The atmosphere was light and different in each area. The bar had a nice feel to it and the dining room was classy. We enjoyed the outdoor seating with it's very summery and fun feel to it. The staff was so friendly and our server was very helpful. She made sure I could enjoy my meal free of any gluten and all her recommendations for my husband and I were superb. My husband had the truffle pasta and pizza bread, which were both very delicious. I had the superfood bowl, which was extremely tasty and refreshing with fresh fruit, nuts, seeds, and a lot of lush greens. It was missing the quinoa but was still very satisfying. For dessert, we had the best frozen yogurt we have ever had--which they make in-house. Highly recommend this delicious restaurant, we will most likely visit again during our visit to the Alps!

We came to this place after trying several restaurants in the area for reservation, but with no avail. This restaurant excepted our reservation and we came in. We are glad we did. The staff, especially the receptionist was so nice and very friendly. That means fear is cozy and feels warm and very nice wooden decoration, it feels like you are in the Alps. We had spicy burger and tie Carey. The burger was good but not great. However the Thai curry was very good. We have enjoyed the dinner and I do recommend it.

The National Park Gallery provides insights into the Hohe Tauern National Park through a 360-meter tunnel.
U can visit this wonderful place from two lines of cable car, one is included fully in zell am see and kaprun card, the other is partially included (u have to pay for the interim 3K line) the place is wonderfull, the cable car is pretty fast, about 25-30 minutes to elrwach the place, when u reach the intermediate station it is recommended to step and take photos of the wonderful scenery out there, when u each the last station u will step into an elevator to reach the 3029 peak and the nice restaurent there.

An unforgettable experience. It's quite a process to get to the top but so worth it. Even on a day with bad weather and hardly any view we still enjoyed it. Thank you to the staff that work there every day. I can see they must have quite an adventure just getting to work every day.

Its a wonderful mountain where u can enjoy skiing ⛷️ and also u can feel the beauty of snow ❄️ into this time meet different cultures of People..also u can enjoy having a warm cappuccino at the top 3000 meters above the sea level .during weekends it's really crowded but u can see people scattered all over the mountain..I love really the place and how it was organised well

For me, the most beautiful areas and activities are in Zee lam see . The view of the snow is amazing, and going up to the top requires riding four cable cars. It is a wonderful adventure. You can also play in the snow at the top.
Anas H — Google review
Amazing views well worth the time and effort. If you are in the area for a while DO NOT pay the day rate for the cable car it is much better to get a summerland card as the cable car is included in that ticket along with loads of other stuff. So if you are in the area for a a couple of days do the sums! Take free the tour at 1PM as well the guide was great. If you are English and using translate be sure to download the languages as you will lose signal on the tour. Oh and don't be so lazy WALK up from 4 to to the top don't take the funicular to lazy get!

Exceptional sights, the way up with the cable cars is amazing, but the view from the top is even better

It takes 4 lifts to get to the top of the mountain (3000m) we didn't come in winter but there was still heaps of snow and it was amazing.

Beautifully clean with toilets and changing rooms. The cafe was also good. Amazing location for a beautiful swim on a hot June day - the lake was surprisingly warm. A bucket list activity! Receptionist said the pool was closed yet there were lots of people in it?!

Although the town can be crowded, and in some parts you'll feel like you're in the middle of a large city, there are still pockets of peace and beauty where the true atmosphere of good old Austria is still noticeable. Of course, the lake and surrounding mountains create a beautiful setting for a town with an Alpine atmosphere.

We went up the cable cars and did a hike for 1.5 hours. We first went to the Visitor's Center in Zell am See who provided great and useful information on which hikes were available. The view on the top of the mountains is amazing and totally worth the 30 euros per person ticket for the cable car

Schmittenhöhebahn is a popular resort area offering varied hiking and ski trails with stunning mountain and lake views. The legendary Schmittenhohebahn can be reached from the lakeside in just a few minutes, taking visitors uphill to Zell's local mountain, the Schmittenhöhe, in modern Porsche Design gondolas. Visitors have praised the organized process and friendly staff of the cable car experience despite challenging weather conditions.
I visited this in winter and the view from the cable car was jaw dropping and also you can rent a ski board and once you reach the top there is a restaurant and a panoramic platform. Also there is a muesem at the top where they still have the pen which the maker of the cable car signed the contract with. The also have a 3d model of the whole mountain. Also there are telescopes on the top which even tell the height and the name of the mountain you are looking at and there is also a buffet at the top which is very cheap. Also at the top you can take astonishing picture of The ALPS mountains. Also you have to buy a ticket and also there was no waiting time.Overall it is probably the best thing to in Zell Am See

Stunning scenery. I'd recommend the left cable car as the big one was crammed. A few walking routes at the top, but the views are amazing.
John L — Google review
There'r a lot of trail along this area the one at peak is the easiest, anyway you can choose anywhere to start. I took cable car to reach peak n walk along panorama trail. It took 30min from schmitenhöhebahn to reach sonnkogelbah
Ida Z — Google review
The views are incredible. That’s about where my liking for the Schmittenhohebahn ends. We hiked to the top, and once we arrived, the service at the restaurant was SO slow. They seemed severely understaffed, and clueless about how to accommodate for lots of tables. The cable car itself is expensive, especially for those who hiked all the way up the mountain. At other places, the one-way ride down is usually quite cheap, but unfortunately that was not our experience.
Dana H — Google review
3 lifts(seilbahn/felvonó, talstationen/völgyállomás). There are more sections for parking with car, and the public transport stop is right before the entrance of the station. I added a picture about that one lift that has been missed here. The silver/black gondola takes you up to the Schmittenhöhe (2000m). Good luck on your next adventure!

Love skiing here. One of my fave' spots in Austria outside of Solden. We were here 7 years ago and the same feelings rushed back and the same thrill💓 St. Anton was ok but again...for me it all comes down to the off grid treeline skiing, off piste experience, the kind of people who are attracted to go there (will I mesh with them or watch....from an amused safe distance.) (Kitzbuhel reminded me too much of St. Moritz in a way that if you don't have a matching hot pink standard toy poodle to go along with your hot pink fur coat and matching hot pink fur "Bogner" moon boots....there's clearly something wrong with YOU.) Zell am See is just this magical little forest of fairyland dust and rippin' amazing new lines down the backside to only stumble into old favored homes of long ago that serve delicious tasty Weiss Beir and wurst with amazing dijon and krauts...nummmmmm... 💓🥳

Liked it. But why the gondola has only 4 seats per cabin. It needs to be bigger and a bit more longer as it does not reach the top of the ski area.

Restaurant Aydin is an Italian eatery situated close to the Zeller See lake in Zell am See. It offers a diverse menu featuring a wide array of Turkish and global cuisines, including numerous options for vegetarians and health-conscious individuals. The establishment is highly regarded for its delectable food and exceptional service. The biryani, whether prepared with chicken or lamb, comes highly recommended, as does the Margarita pizza.

Zainab — Google review
Aladdin Restaurant in Zell am See is a good choice for those who enjoy Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine. The atmosphere inside is cozy, with friendly staff who provide quick and attentive service, making it a pleasant experience for families and travelers alike. The décor is simple yet tasteful, with touches that reflect a Mediterranean vibe. The menu is diverse, offering both Middle Eastern and Mediterranean dishes, giving guests a wide variety of options to suit different tastes. The food is generally delicious, filling, and well-presented. Prices are moderate to slightly high, but still reasonable considering the touristy location and the popularity of the restaurant. Overall, this restaurant is a solid option for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Middle Eastern flavors in the heart of Austria, with good service and a welcoming atmosphere. While it may not be the most luxurious dining spot, it provides a genuine and satisfying experience.

Delicious food, welcoming staff. I tried Chicken with Kari and rice and was fantastic. However the portion of the salad somewhat small.
Dr. K — Google review
I expect more from a kebab plate in Austria. It was minimalistic, simple rice and some cheapo chicken meat. At other places you get fresh corns, carrots, onion, pickled cabbage, hummus for this price. Either lower the price under 10 euros, or give some value to it.

Bar
Kraftwerk Restaurant & Winebar is a top culinary destination in Zell am See, Austria. Housed in a historic 1974 power plant, the restaurant offers contemporary and inventive Austrian and European dishes. Many of the ingredients such as bacon, bread, and brandy are sourced from their own organic farm while the wild game comes from the surrounding area. The restaurant boasts impeccable service, a friendly and knowledgeable staff, and an impressive wine list.
Wonderful culinary experience paired with a great wine selection. Non-trivial interpretations of Austrian cuisine. Lots of techniques, but a great balance among them. Fresh local ingredients. Real gem. The only warning is that the service is slow.

This was a highlight of our road trip. This family owned farm to table restaurant was excellent. They were so nice and welcoming and the food was amazing! We were able to talk with the waitress/owner/ Somalia and she even brought her little boy out to say hi as the husband was in the kitchen making our delicious food. We truly had a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anybody in Zell looking for a great meal and supporting a great establishment.
Chris B — Google review
Exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to cater for dietary needs (vegan) and even got ice cubes for our daughter who was teething. Lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Plus 2 very big (100+ pages) wine lists for those interested.
Philipa — Google review
This restaurant provides a great atmosphere with amazing food and drinks. They offer other than the course that you order, 2 appetizers which are good. We drank, water, apperatif wine, and ordered 2 weiner schnitzel. Total was 109 euros. So its on the expensive side considering there are so many other cheaper options. But its worth a try.
Elias M — Google review
We were a family of 4 visiting with our two kids. We adults had the menu and the wine pairing and the kids found things ala carte. The service was kind, but seemed a little busy compared to the size of the place. The wine pairing was the highlight and quite good. I wanted to like the food more than I did. I applaud the experimental approach, but the platter with goat cheese, berry sorbet, curry flavored sauce on top of a tiny blanched carrot was quite weird and not really enjoyable. The beef dish my kid ordered was very cheesy and again not very impressive at that price point.
Thomas J — Google review
It might be an unpopular opinion but somehow the whole place - including atmosphere, staff, food - was just not for me. I felt that the staff - while very friendly - was hyping up everything a bit too much and it sounded like a script. Talking for 2 minutes about the sparkling water we got … too much for me. And that was only the beginning. All meals were presented in a way that I felt it’s not for us, it’s just a must that must be said. Some of the food was amazing (best Wienerschnitzel I’ve ever had) but some was not that good in my opinion. But I’m just a random guy on the internet…
Balázs G — Google review
Lovely dinner experience while visiting Zell Am See. The food was magnificent with a nice blend of new and traditional. The service was excellent and the server was knowledgeable and helpful recommending a lovely bottle at our price point. Overall a 5 out of 5!

It’s a family restaurant, an absolute gem in Zell am See. The staff are very thoughtful and attentive, making us feel looked after. We had a 4 course surprise menu full of locally grown ingredients and excellent wine pairing. Highly recommended for a warm evening delight. Also, when we asked for pescatarian menu, they easily made it for us. Considering the quality & quantity of food (we had a few great surprises off the menu), the value for money is superb as well.

Restaurant
Berghotel Jaga Alm is a relaxed hotel that offers stunning views of Lake Zell and features a swimming pond and a rustic restaurant with a bar. The spa area includes 2 saunas, a steam bath, tropical shower, and a relaxation room with panoramic views of Zell am See. Guests praise the traditional Austrian cuisine served at the restaurant, made with products from the hotel's own farm.
We spent wonderful days at the Berghotel Jaga-Alm Hotel. The quiet and magnificent panoramic location of the family hotel at 1200m is a miracle in itself. It is very beautiful inside and out, and its staff is very kind, attentive and helpful, so that the guest can feel the best during his rest. The accommodation is especially pet-friendly, so we were very happy to be able to take our cat with us, most people of course come with dogs. 😊 Our room was spacious and clean, with an excellent panoramic view of the Zell am See lake and the surrounding mountains and lifts. (perhaps what is missing is the minibar/small fridge in the room) The restaurant and its terrace are equipped with very cozy wooden/log furniture and accessories, which provide a pleasant environment for meals or a good beer. We can enjoy our orders on the terrace with an excellent panoramic view. The breakfast buffet has everything you need to stimulate your eyes and mouth, to have a good meal and fill yourself up for the programs until the afternoon. On the table, there was always the daily report, what kind of weather to expect and what programs are recommended. Returning for dinner, it was always a good feeling to end the day with a delicious selection and a couple of good beers while enjoying the scenery. Thank you to the Jaga Alm team for the great days, we will definitely be back! 😊 😊 The "Zell am See Kaprun-Summer Card" card was included in the price of the accommodation, which we could use unlimitedly for the lifts and gorges in the region, but also provided us with a lot of discounts in many other places. That was a huge advantage!

Oh where can I start! This hotel is a hidden gem, and I’m really glad we found it. It’s very near to the city by driving, just a 9 minutes drive by car, parking is free and there are plenty of parkings. The location is great, it’s on the mountain, with SPECTACULAR VIEWS. We didn’t have problems finding the hotel at all, please follow the signs, I read some followed the gps alone and they got a bit lost, for us it was very easy. The drive might look a bit scary and you might think, is this the right way? are we lost? Yes it is the right way, don’t worry, relax and enjoy the views while you drive to the hotel. We were welcomed by the hotel owner, very sweet lady, very welcoming. Check-in was very quick and easy, summer card is provided. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and it was gorgeous! It was big and had 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms with queen beds in them, a small kitchen with a dishwasher, a stove, a fridge a microwave and a small coffee maker with coffee. There is a safe inside the closet of the bedroom. The apartment was clean and organized, There is no A/C ( we came in July ), but we opened the windows and the weather was beautiful, we didn’t feel hot at all, the cold breeze was beautiful. ( the windows need a mosquito window net, please add them) The hotel has a number of animals that kids can pet and my son was so happy about it, they have a kids play room and outdoor games as well, my son enjoyed the trampoline, there is also a natural pond ( non heated ) that you can swim in. Breakfast was simple but yummy, I LOVED that there was a station that you could mix your own omelette then fry it or fry you sunny side eggs or your meat ( please keep in mind Muslim guests, if the meat is pork it’ll make it difficult for us to use the frying stove ) I must say I was super happy with my stay and I strongly recommend it, I will definitely come back ❤️ P.S. the night before I had a book at a hotel that’s near the lake because I was looking for A/C, the hotel wasn’t as half as good as this one, don’t make it a must that you take it in the city, if I go back in time I’ll definitely book this hotel and not in the city again, don’t make our mistake.
Iman — Google review
Amazing place for relaxing and good views. Excellent for family. The room was very clean and new and the staff were very friendly and helpful. No halal food. It’s a bit nerve racking when you first get there but maybe because we arrived at night and lost our way due to google maps but still the slop is steep and the rails looks very very weak pretty sure it would not hold the car in case you veer off the course. Just be careful and arrive early. Don’t rely on google maps for this cause it will take you on different path just follow the signs, this is HIGHLY IMPORTANT to keep in mind. Example of the sign is shown in the photos. Forget about going back and forth to the Zell Am See by walking and no bus around the hotel so you will need a car. Parking is free. Highly recommended.
Mohammed A — Google review
Very friendly staff; clean, modern rooms. Food is good though not very special. The included "Sommerkarte" gives free access to ski lifts, busses and even the boat trip on the lake. There are some hiking options straight from the hotel, or by first taking the ski lift in Schmittten, a 15-20 minute walk (downhill, so on your way back up it will take somewhat longer). The ski lifts in Kaprun are about 25 minutes by car, giving access to many more hiking options. Staff are also very helpful in this respect.

.Very unique amazing place. Great view Pleasant and efficient staff, lovely atmosphere. Quiet place in the mountains close to the lake.

One of, if not the the best, hotel I’ve stayed at. Why? We got upgraded to a large 3 room apartment with an absolute stunning view. Everything is clean and tidy and in perfect condition. Our kids loved the spring water pool. And the cows, donkey, sheep, hen, goats and guinea pigs living on first floor! The location high up (3,5 km and 350 m in altitude) gives a magnificent view overlooking the lake, but comes at the price: walking down and up to town will exhaust you. Do not try if not in descent shape! We opted for an all inclusive stay, where you make your own lunch pack and bring with you on whatever adventure lays ahead on that day. Clever! And activities there are lots and lots within half an hour drive or so. Lastly the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive to our needs (had two gluten allergies in our family). To notch in every way!
