Even though we didn’t got to see the pink dolphins, we still had an amazing day visiting the local sights. Our guide Nong was amazing! We went on the boat tour firs, afterwards delicious seafood lunch at a local restaurant, then off to the fish spa and lastly the cave.
Great trip! We saw many dolphins, two kinds. Our guide, Nong, was very knowledgeable. Thank you!!
Highly recommend this tour. The information behind all these things we got to see are amazing. Saw dolphins too just from far but highly recommend... it's a nice tour to go.
We had a fantastic all day tour with Deang, who was our guide. He is a very knowledgeable and caring person having been a guide with Khanom Tour for 18 years. First we went out by longboat to find and watch the pink dolphins for as long as we wanted then visited the Rock Fish Museum which we found amazing, had a delicious Thai Lunch in a nice Restaurant next to the sea. We visited the big monk and temples, a fish spa and the view point lookout high up on a hill. Normally we would have visited the cave but as we were two older couples Deang advised us not to do the caves as that might be too stressful. We can highly recommend KHANOM TOUR THAILAND, you get very good value for money and the best care.
we've just came back from trip with Khanom Tour from Ayutthaya. it was amazing! our guide Suwat was great ❤️ the best of the best! we had so much fun, saw beautiful places and most of all our kids weren't bored. thank you!
We had a great experience with this tour agency! Doy, our tour guide picked us up by car from the ferry port, he was very friendly and supportive especially with our two kids. We booked the tour pink Dolphin watching - Khao Wang Thong cave - natural fish spa in the Khanom river, a meal in a local restaurant directly on the beach with great food was included. We were lucky and could find a pink mother dolphin with baby right away! The experienced longboat captain brought us savely to the tiny island of Nui Nok with a unique freshwater hole an a wonderful tempel on top. On the way back we could see impressive „pancake“ rock formations on one of the several several small islands. Our guide Doy told us very interesting storys about the local heritage and customs. In sum we really enjoyed this tour - we highly recommend this agency!
Really fun experience. Tour guide was amazing. Entertained the kids, made sure we were all good and told stories about the place
I live in Brazil and planned to go to the south of Thailand, and they helped me a lot to decide where to stay, how to get there, and what to do. Even though it’s on the other side of the world, they treated me so well, and thanks to their help I made it to the island today! I highly recommend them and I’m so grateful for all the help! Super friendly from the very beginning! Thank you!

An absolute must to visit. This cave was a highlight for us. It was absolutely awe inspiring. Don’t underestimate the 147 stairs up and 147 stairs down. They are not even and definitely geared towards someone who is tall but get past those stairs and the rest is spectacular. Take some water, a torch and towel as it is hot and humid. Wear sneakers as it is slippery and wet. But so worth it. Oh and did I mention the cave dwelling bats and spider?
This is a huge and impressive cave! We were a group on 12 people, including kids ages 4-12 and everyone enjoyed. Tour in the cave requires a guide, which shows you around and provides flash lights.. Once you get there and buy tickets, there’s a 10 minute walk up the mountain with pretty well maintained stairs. After this short but stiff climb, you get to the cave entrance. The walk in the cave is around 40 minutes
Not too difficult to explore. Took around 3 mins by stairs to the cave, then about 30-45 mins inside. Many new growing stalagmites. Need well presevation here. Local guide will provide you the head torch, but it would help a lot if you bring your own in additional. Inside is totally dark.
An amazing cave experience, beautiful stalagmites and stalagtites, the tour guide was very nice and showed us throughout the cave and even the huge amounts of bats residing in there too. Worth the visit! No issue with headlights, was plenty of light comingn from the ones we were given. 400 THB for 3 people is a steal! 👍👍
Not big cave with a lot of small cute bets. The whole journey is around 30 mins
This cave is well worth a visit. The white color represents stalagmites and stalactites that are still growing. The guide was really helpful and informative. A word of warning: don't wear flip flops as the floor is quite slippery. Also, take it easy when climbing the stairs at the beginning, I found it more tiring than it looked.
So beautiful, we were completely amazed! Lots of exotic rock formations, we filmed some bat's "hanging" out in the cave, the cave system is huge! Bring some water as the humidity is quite high, but worth every bit effort. Even the walk up to the cave entrance was amazing! We will go back again for sure!
Cave is quite large, much deeper than expected. It’s a has a staircase to reach it and inside the cave there are some steps and places. It’s not easily accessible for people with issues walking, but most people in good shape can manage ok. There are ‘guides’ there who provide lights in case you don’t have on. They’ll bring you around the cave. Note: you are expected to make a donation to the cave before. But then, the guide tells you after the tour that you are supposed to tip him. We donated like 20-30 baht per person to the donation box. After the tour, We offered our guide about 60baht additional. Then he refused. He said, 100 baht per person. I regretted not getting the price established before the tour. My only recommendation for you… small donation at the box then negotiate price of tour before starting up the stairs.

Was here in 2023. Here you can hire a local boat for 1200 THB to take you out to the bay to spot the pink dolphins. The best time go is in the morning, I came at 9am from Donsak. There were 3 of them swimming in tandem. น่ารักนา! Even if you do not spot any dolphins the ride out to the bay of Khanom is beautiful. The view is raw and untouched by tourism.
Quiet and Serene Beach. Soft sand. Entrance is narrow fit for one car one way. Concrete path with overgrown bushes. There is no sign that lead to the beach. Just follow Google Map after reaching end of village turn left. Good spot for fishing 🎣 at the end of the beach. Difficult trail lead to beautiful view.
The idea was to see the dolphins, we were totally to be there for 7-8 in the morning but got there for 9:30 waited a bit an a fishing boat came, it was 1000Bhat and they gave us life vest for the journey, it was a bit of a bumpie ride and we did get a little bit splashed but the views were AMAZING! It was a windy day so no surprise there we didn't see many dolphins however it was such a beautiful boat ride and the fisherman also took us to see the Pancake rocks ( only other place in the world to see it is New Zealand) it was worth it, BTW we went to the German restaurant straight after that was lovely as well, well worth it in total it took nearly 2 hours
Very good German kitchen. Restaurant zum grünen Baum. Homemade bread. No rooms. But "Feel good place". Normally open kitchen just at lunchtime. Closed after 3pm.
it was stormy when i was there but there was a lot of plastic
Beautiful empty beach, loved it!!

A stunning beach that could use a little cleanup.

Ao Tong Yee is one of the hidden bays along the Khanom coastline in Nakhon Si Thammarat province, southern Thailand. Tucked away between forested hills and rocky headlands, this bay feels secluded and natural, making it perfect for travelers who want to escape the busier parts of Khanom and enjoy peace and simplicity. The bay itself is shaped in a gentle curve, with soft golden sand and calm, shallow water that is excellent for swimming or just cooling off on a hot day. Casuarina and coconut trees fringe the shoreline, offering natural shade and a classic tropical atmosphere. Because Ao Tong Yee is not widely known, it is rarely crowded—visitors can often walk the length of the beach in near solitude, with only the sound of the waves and the sea breeze for company. Fishing boats are sometimes anchored along the shore, reflecting the traditional lifestyle of the local community. There are no big resorts or nightlife spots here, only a few small homestays and local restaurants that serve freshly caught seafood at affordable prices. This keeps the atmosphere relaxed and authentic, far from the commercialization of Thailand’s major tourist beaches. Sunrise and sunset are especially beautiful at Ao Tong Yee, with the sky glowing in warm colors and reflecting across the calm bay. For those who like to explore, the surrounding coastline offers jungle paths, hidden coves, and small villages that showcase the charm of Khanom. Overall, Ao Tong Yee is a serene, off-the-beaten-path destination—ideal for travelers who want to enjoy Thailand’s natural coastal beauty in its most unspoiled form.
Looks great from afar but unfortunately, it's a garbage dump. There is trash everywhere and no one cares, not even the people in the little Cafe at the beach. It would be a perfect, lovely beach if not for the trash..
If you climb above the rocks on the left side of the main beach you will find a little bay that offers a more private atmosphere. Approximately 5 Minutes by foot and not too hard to find.
Very nice quiet beach
Nice and quiet beach White and super fine sand If you’re here during Summer and low season. This is super private And….. it not that expensive for the beach shop
Lovely place at the end of the road with turtle sanctuary. Always the only ones there when we go, nice and quiet with a clean beach
beautiful spot, clean sand, looks good for swimming. Restaurant but closed due to covid.
Good food and a very chill place for spending a nice evening on the beach.. Not crowded
