Visit if in Toraja. There is a lady getting an entrance fee (20k pp) and some shops on the entrance. Note that there are 2 stairs going to different tumbs, the second is easy to overlook.
Lemo, a breathtaking tourist destination located in Tana Toraja, is famously known as the home of spirits. Here, you can witness funeral chambers carved directly into the steep cliff walls. You'll also encounter wooden statues, known as Tao-Tao, intricately sculpted to resemble the departed. These statues represent those who have passed away. If you look closely, you'll notice the unique hand posture of each statue—one hand facing upwards, and the other downwards. This gesture holds a special meaning: it's a request and a blessing. According to the tour guide, the departed is asking their family to perform traditional rituals, ensuring that the family left behind is blessed. Quite fascinating, isn't it?
Compared to Londa, this place was lacking, in terms of the number of graves and size. It is, however, beautiful. The rock cliff - filled with neat rows of grave holes - faced rice paddy fields. It was very peaceful.
Absolutely amazing! This is an unforgettable experience that you simply cannot afford to miss! To truly grasp its magic, you'll want to dive into the what and the why behind it!
Nice cementery with beautiful landscape around. Easy to explore, there is two main to visit. Entry ticket was 20k but I bargained for 10k so do the same...
What an amazing, spiritual and gorgeous place. There's nothing like this in the world and visiting Torajan graves has always been on my bucket list. What a privilege to be here.
One of the many grave sites scattered throughout the southern part of Toraja. Lemo is a cliff containing grave sites. The entrance fee is 20k. There is toilet and warung nearby. You follow the trail to the left hand side. There are stairs that take you to the other side of the grave site. At the time, they were making a new hole. Lots of colourful dolls but looks new.
Absolutely worth the 8 hours trip from Makassar. What a spiritual, historical, beautiful and unique place.

We can see the iconic monument of Jesus blessing with a height of more than 100 meters. Often the fog covers the valley around the location, and creates a view like a "sea of clouds. It was beautiful and peaceful.
(05/2025) Great viewpoint with stunning landscape views. Entrance to the area is 50K for tourists (of course, three times more than locals). The tower with the Jesus statue costs extra (another 20K), even though it’s clearly in poor condition — exposed wires, broken lights, etc. Parking (2K for motorbikes, 5K for cars) and toilets (2–3K) are also charged separately. It’s unclear why all these fees aren’t just combined into one ticket. There’s a great asphalt/concrete road leading all the way to the top.
It's not free, like shown in the description. You pay 50.000 Rupiah for entrance as a foreigner. And additionally you pay 2.000 for parking a motorbike or 5.000 for a car. Apart from that, the view is amazing and if you go in the morning around 9h you'll be the only one there.
Entry ticket 15k, great mountain views, very recommended place to go. A loy of souvenir store, must bargain before buy, friendly people
Amazing views if you pay the extra 20k to climb to the top. Well worth the trip. If you want it to be quite go on a weekday.
We couldn't access the 2nd floor, the door was locked. The view was breathtaking. Worth a stop
It's on the high place. Good place to take picture. Hopefully they can add more Christians spiritual things besides Jesus statue
The location and idea are great, and possibly when it was new it was better to visit. Now, it is run-down and the whole area looks like a historic ruin. The statue itself looks like it has had lots of quick repairs, and almost shabby up close. The glass walkway is closed, but is very pathetic looking. There is no entry to the two story base, and the interior looks in bad condition through the door. The statue so looks impressive from far away, but don't waste your time with a visit.

Went with Toraja_Local_guide (instagram) very interering culture..you need to go to Toraja with Miss Natalia. This young lady really know a lot..just be sure you ask questions to get full story about the cultute and have her take you to a wedding and Funeral.. it will blow your mind. You will never forget it..
This place have a lot of potential being one of the unique grave (stone grave) the Bodies are stored inside the stone mountain, and are brought vertically then inserted inside through the cube-shaped hole. The only downside is that the place isn't maintaned, the place are full with wild grasses, dust sticking everywhere, some antique missing, the toilet doesn't have water, etc. And this has been like this for years....
(06/25) Rip-off - don't go there. A guard asked for a 50k IDR per person and showed us a ticket stating this price. The price point by itself is ridiculous as even the most touristic places like Londa were only 35k. When we turned around to go, the price was only 25k p.p. We paid but did not receive a ticket, so someone is making some "private money". We did not get any explanation, there are no signs. The entire place is overgrown. We left after a few minutes. For which service is admission charged?
We came here without a guide, had to pay 50K / person and just found a wall with wooden figures - no information in english. Maybe it is ok to come with a guided tour, but if not, this place is not recommendable for this price. We left after a couple of minutes.
Toraja is a beautiful place with a unique culture and the burial caves. One of them is Suaya. You can see the caves. The tips: If you want go here, better you rent private car and use the local guide to take you there.
Very interesting gravesite

Very fascinating place! Awesome to see! But: Unfortunately literally zero tourist facilities, except of the ticket booth, not any information and even the toilets are out of order. The place is not maintained and feels decaying, I'm wondering what's happening with the money from the (relatively expensive) entrance tickets.
