We visited Canada for the first time yesterday and stopped at the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre. Very nice and informative museum. Alot of Canadian aviation history in one hanger. Many planes to look at from small float planes to larger fire bombing aircraft. Everyone was very friendly. The facility was nice and clean and as a bonus, it had an entomology lab inside that had an array of of insects from small to large, along with several small reptiles. The lady that showed us some of the critters(I'm sorry I forgot her name) was extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. If you make it to Sault Ste Marie, Ontario Canada. I would highly recommend checking it out👍👍😊
Great collection of aircraft! I loved that you can actually board most of them and take a look inside. It makes for an immersive experience to be able to wander around the inside of the hull and take a stroll through history. I do recommend that the employees are coached a little better as there was 0 enthusiasm from the employees. We wandered into the insect exhibit and the young women inside wouldn't even make eye contact with us. I tried to smile at them but they looked away. A warmer reception from the employees would have made the experience truly memorable.
Came here to show my partner around the sault and its offerings. It wasn’t overly busy, it was us and a bunch of kids having a birthday party (with their parents socializing). It was nice to have the place (mostly) to ourselves but the kids were loud and running around mostly unsupervised (not the bush planes fault). There are some great interactive displays that you could scan with your phone and sift through hard board book like information. There’s quite a few planes to look at and even some that will let you get inside and take a closer look! We enjoyed the water bomber video experience personally. They have a little gift shop at the end with a few nicknacks. We also enjoyed the Entomica exhibit with the cool insects and bug displays, which can be found inside the museum. Overall a decent experience. I’d been once before. A cool place to check out if you’re into museums and haven’t ever been!
Great museum! We enjoyed our experience here. My husband was my tour guide, but there is a tour guide that you can download that is filled with info also. The store was great, too. Highly recommend when visiting Sault Ste Marie.
A lively museum. The insectarium is cool, and the museum itself is jam packed with aircraft you can touch. They’re all super clean and just beautiful to look at. Definitely recommended.
I attended a wedding here a couple of weeks ago, and the venue was amazing. 10/10 would recommend. The planes were so cool and I really enjoyed the insectarium. P.s: thank you to the childcare staff for watching over the kids so the parents could relax a bit. You guys were awesome.
We got the tour and it was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. There are also very interesting movies. And there are so many engines to look at!
Museum itself is fine, plenty of information and such to be had next to all the exhibits. My one gripe is the political "elbows up" and "canada not for sale" merchandise available in the gift shop. A Museum is a place of learning, not a place of opinion politics. Do better. Whoever made this decision should be ashamed.

Beautiful boardwalk trail by the Sault Ste Marie waterfront. Interesting statues and art installations with nice parks to stroll through, great place to walk the dog. Don't wear your good shoes, there are lots of geese on the trail, they had goslings with them and were very territorial.
Not from the area but met some lovely locals during our stroll. Appreciated the bikes having their separate space so not constantly looking over my shoulder. Lovely little gardens, nice views, some big chairs to relax on and dog friendly. Lots of geese so kept the dogs on alert. Easy to find parking.
Because I lived just down the road from the boardwalk it was almost a daily visit during the summer months. the smell of the fresh air flowing off over the water in between two countries, doesn't get much better than this. Even just the sight seeing, from the old ship's tied to the decks to the older buildings across the river, it is such a beautiful area and I miss being so near yet my homestead now is most uplifting and beautiful in one of the newest suburb additions here in Sault Ste Marie.
This is a lovely stroll in the heart of the Sault. Located next to the Delta hotel where I was staying, this path is a perfect place to go for a walk if you want to stretch your legs.
A nice place to go for a short stroll along the river. Lots of greenery and flowers, and nice views of the Michigan side of the river.
On our way to Lake superior stopped for a quick break. View overlooking the bridge is amazing. Nice walk. Few places you can buy your coffee or food. Wish we had adequate time to see the sunset.
Nice boardwalk but a walk to nowhere. Unfortunately there is only the blank back side of a a dying mall and with giant parking lot facing the boardwalk. The city needs to redevelop the mall to pedestrian friendly shops and restaurants facing the waterfront, and this will become a lively and fun destination. Mall parking says that parking is for mall patrons only but ironically the lot was almost empty and there was little access to the mall from that side.
Just went for a bike ride today and it's absolutely beautiful. Lots of good places for photos as I have included some of mine. Will be heading back once my devices are charged.

**Shoutout to Wendy at Guest Services** Traveling with my wife, we decided to check out the casino. Being from out of town, it was so nice that Wendy at the front desk greeted us with a huge smile, and offered help, even some jokes and small talk. She was able to set us up with some membership(points) cards, and gave us all the info we'd need to enjoy our visit. Did some gaming - Plenty of machines to choose from. We grabbed a menu from the bar, as we had missed the restaurant timing. The food was soo good and very fairly priced. Service and Smiles in this Casino are bountiful! If we're ever passing through again, we'll be sure to stop in!
Enjoyed our visit. We actually stopped in as a last minute activity for Memorial Weekend and had fun. Easy access from the bridge. Free parking. Friendly staff. Bar and seating area with TVs. Beverages - fountain drinks as well as bar. Clean restrooms.
No jackpots spent $1109 highest payout was $135. Hardly any bonuses on all games, this casino is on its way out. You never hear excited cheers, laughter like other casinos, the atmosphere is boring. Nothing to bring you in. Across the boarder is better. Even with the exchange rate you still have a better chance of winning then at Gateway Casino. Stay away.
Interesting casino, believe it's main structure is a Coverall structure. It seems to work for them and maybe cost cutting measure. They have a good selection of slot machines and some table games, as such limited game selection but they have blackjack. Staff were friendly and the casino offers self serve pop and coffee. If going there I suggest bringing cash with you as ATM fees are pricey.
Selection of slot machines was meh. But still had a great time! Bartender was really friendly!
Me and my mom had dinner there the other night. It was so delicious. The steak was so nice and tender and the potatoes and gravey were good as well. I didnt care for the choice of vegetable, which was mixed. but everything was hot. The soup was awesome as well. It had lots of vegetables in it and very tasty. Th cherry pie wasn't that great and I love cherry pie usually. I have posted pics. Overall the meal was really good and a very reasonable price of 24.99 each I think.
Great place lots of machines to play and l won a few dollars while I was the there.l will definitely go back it's only a 10 minute walk for me.
This cacino will not ask if you have a players card ,which ENTITLES you to a discount on food at bar/restaurant! When asked , the manager defended their policy and refused to correct the oversite!!

Totally enjoyable afternoon- with such a beautiful park that brings so much history. There is a grassy area to relax and it offers picnic tables. We walked over the bridge and enjoyed the trails. Then went to the end of the road to see the emergency swing bridge. So glad we stopped in for a quick afternoon walk. Definitely planning more time next time.
We took the Famous boat tours boat 🚢 with the adventure pass. It was a beautiful day with friendly staff. Super informative. What a beautiful lady she is. You could tell she loves her job and she was funny. Nice fresh breath of air. They offered snacks and drinks. Got to learn about the locks, the soo, and the Canadian side of the locks. On our way back there was a boat bobbing in the water. They have a no one gets left behind code and without hesitation went to see if they were in need of help. Everything was okay but turns out the boat was not starting. They immediately dispatched help. Wonderful group of people ❤️
Visiting this historic canal was an unforgettable experience. The combination of natural beauty and rich history makes it a true Canadian treasure. Walking along the canal, you really get a sense of its importance in shaping the country’s past, while also enjoying stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The pathways are well maintained, perfect for walking or biking, and there are plenty of spots to stop, take in the scenery, and learn about its heritage. It’s both relaxing and educational—a must-visit for anyone who loves history, culture, and the outdoors.
A beautiful blend of history, nature, and engineering! The Sault Ste. Marie Canal National Historic Site is a wonderful place to explore and learn. The walking trails are peaceful, the views of the water are stunning, and the locks themselves are fascinating to watch in action. The visitor center has plenty of interesting exhibits that explain the rich history of the canal, making the experience both educational and enjoyable. It’s a perfect spot to spend a relaxing afternoon — whether you’re interested in ships, history, or just looking for scenic views. A must-visit if you’re in the area!
Great to see a lock.. unfortunately a boat didn't pass by while I was present. The pathway lead to Whitefish Island.. nice nature hike where people feed birds and chipmunks.. suggest to stick around the perimeter to avoid getting lost 😆
Nice little hike to see the locks and rapids. The visitor centre was super helpful and friendly. Thank you!
Nice walking paths. But if water level is high, some are not fully accessible. They are narrow and rocky. Not for bikes or strollers.
I Love ❤️❤️❤️ going for walks, it's so Beautiful The Chickadees are very friendly and it's amazing to see my Daughters eyes when a bird lands in mommy and Daddies hand . Then there's a certain place we call chipmunk 🐿️🐿️ land There also very friendly and have a sense of awareness that they're safe. People that always always make sure they go and feed. I know. I believe there's a rule but it's helped. So many people get through a hard day at the end of the day. It's a great place just to go and have a great walk. If you are someone who likes fishing, there's some really good spots, I am hoping to find more pictures to post of the chickadees and Chipmunks eating or get out of hand. They're little feet touching. Your hand is very unique. 😍😍😍

I recently had the pleasure of riding the Agawa train, and it was an unforgettable experience! Sitting in the Stone Gardener car added a unique charm to the journey. The views of the breathtaking landscapes were nothing short of spectacular, with vibrant forests and stunning lakes that seemed to stretch endlessly. The large windows in the Stone Gardener provided an excellent vantage point to soak in the natural beauty, and the comfortable seating made the ride incredibly relaxing. The informative commentary enriched the experience, offering insights into the history and ecology of the area. Drinks, breakfast, lunch, and snacks all included in price. The 90-minute stop at the canyon during the Agawa train ride was a highlight of the trip! The breathtaking views of the deep ravines and rushing waterfalls were simply mesmerizing. It offered the perfect opportunity to stretch my legs and take in the stunning natural beauty up close. Walking along the trails, I was captivated by the vibrant green colors and the sound of the water cascading over the rocks. There were plenty of spots to take photos, and I loved the chance to explore the area at my own pace. The time allowed me to truly appreciate the serene atmosphere and connect with nature. Whether you’re an avid photographer or just looking to relax, this stop is a must. It added an unforgettable dimension to the overall experience of the Agawa train ride! Overall, the Agawa train ride was a perfect blend of adventure and tranquility, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the stunning outdoors in a unique way!
It’s a long day but worth it for the views. We went mid September and the trees were changing and the views were incredible. It might be a bit boring at other times of the year. There are lots of times all you see are rock walls or trees. But when you come upon the lakes and rivers the views are spectacular. Food on the train was good and not overly expensive but a bit high. Some people did bring their own food but we followed their rules and purchased lunch on the train. We had breakfast before we left. The hikes at the midway point are good and relatively easy. We didn’t do the 300 steps to the lookout, but another retired couple we met did and said it wasn’t that bad The commentary on the train ride up was good but lacking on the way back. We would probably do the ride again if we are ever back in the area.
Great day to relax and focus on slowing down and enjoying the scenery. Staff are very helpful and provide great information along the way. They were able to accommodate our accessibility needs with a lift and seating in Car 9 closest to the lift. We did a family trip with a group of 8. Seats were padded and comfortable. Snacks and drinks on board. Even with a late season ride and rainy stsrt to the day, the colours were beautiful. Note for preparation, especially if you are in a group to arrive early, seats are not assigned. Staff are very helpful to accommodate seating requests after boarding.
Must try for all nature lovers. Fall (mid Sep to mid Oct) is the season. The tickets go fast. Also, it's best to time it based on when fall isbat peak. It's a 9.5 to 10 hour investment. 4 hours to go. 1.5 hours at the park for the trails and lookout. And 4 hours back. It's best to reach 30 minutes before, by 7:30 am as the train boards and leaves at 8 am The view is stunning. Pro tip: Team up with your copassenger to switch between the right and left side of the view. When you reach the park, walk along the train tracks for the falls, rather than the trails, it's much easier that way. The lookout has 330 steps. Overall a MUST attend.
Highly recommend, very organized boarding train. Views from both sides of train great scenery. Fall colors were great!!! On one of the web sites it says no food or drinks allowed!!! Wrong. Bring a nice picnic lunch and something to drink. You will be on train for 8 hours. Once you get to the canyon there are pucnic ti eat at. No concessions.
Embark on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train and discover a transformative experience that harnesses the raw beauty of Northern Ontario, inspiring a sense of wonder in those who travel through Sault Ste. Marie's breathtaking landscapes. Be prepared for a scenic journey, with a round-trip duration of 8 hours, divided equally between traveling to Agawa Canyon and returning to the depot. We arrived at the depot by 7:30 am, ready to embark on our journey by 8 am. Despite the crowd, the staff facilitated a remarkably smooth boarding process. We made our way to the lookout, where we were treated to breathtaking vistas that left us in awe. Although the fall colors weren't as vibrant as anticipated, they still displayed a orange-yellow hue with hints of red, serving as a poignant reminder of nature's ability to surprise and inspire us. 🍁 After taking in the breathtaking views at the top, we made our way down with a sense of urgency, driven by the ticking clock. We seized the opportunity to stroll along the train tracks and paused briefly to capture some photos at the river bank. The train's loud whistles signaled our cue, and we had a thrilling 10 minutes to snap a few final shots with the train front. Although we didn't have time to explore the waterfall, we left feeling invigorated by the experience. The train's food and beverage options were reasonably priced. Although the seats had limited legroom, we were considerate of our fellow travelers, sitting across from us. For future trips, I'd consider upgrading to the Stone Gardner coach, which offers a unique experience with its expansive rear window, complimentary meals, and comfortable seating. It is well worth the premium price of $500. Here are my thoughts on the train experience, highlighting areas for growth and opportunities for enhancement. One potential improvement for this train tour is allocating more time to explore the park, as the current 1.5 hours can feel a bit rushed. With so many attractions to see – including the 300-step lookout, two waterfalls, trails, riverbank, it can be challenging to fit everything in. The upgrading the train's seating, could significantly enhance passenger comfort. The train ride features insightful commentary that enhances the experience, offering a deeper understanding of the area's history and ecology. The train thoughtfully slows down at popular spots, allowing passengers to capture memorable photos. The staff, both on the train and at the station, exemplify exceptional service, showcasing genuine warmth, helpful expertise, and unwavering professionalism. Every query receives prompt, clear, and empowering responses. Their diligence in maintaining immaculate washrooms is truly commendable. Without the distraction of Wi-Fi, passengers can fully engage with the breathtaking scenery, fostering a deeper connection with nature. A remarkable display of integrity was demonstrated when the staff made a concerted effort to reunite a lost pair of sunglasses with their rightful owner. The breathtaking double rainbow that appeared in the sky was the perfect finale to our trip, leaving us with an unforgettable sense of wonder.
Really enjoyed the fall colors and the train ride. Would highly recommend. Next time I would pay the extra money to upgrade our ride. The upgrade means food and drinks are included along with servers. That way to don’t need to try to walk through the train cars to try and get to the dining car for coffee etc. while the train is moving. If you order a meal two weeks before that is delivered to your seat.
Breathtaking views, uncomfortable long ride. Overall, I really enjoyed this trip. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking - without a doubt, it’s worth experiencing at least once. When I stepped off the train and looked around, I was amazed. Honestly, if I had only seen photos of the canyon, I would have thought they were photoshopped. Seeing it in person was unforgettable. But there are things that clearly need improvement. The seats in our coach were obviously taken from an old airplane and simply fixed into the train, with foldable trays like on planes. For a long journey - four hours each way (eight hours total on board) - the seats were uncomfortable, and they were placed too close together, leaving very little room for knees. And because we had already spent more than 10 hours on the road before boarding, sitting that long in those seats felt even tougher. I can only imagine how difficult it must be for older passengers as well. Another issue is the short time at the canyon. We only had about 1.5 hours there, which wasn’t enough to fully enjoy the place. The highlight is the waterfalls and the climb to the local lookout point - but with such limited time, you’re either rushing or missing out. Extending the stop would make the tour far more rewarding. One thing I really liked was the monitors in the coach showing a live feed from a camera mounted on the locomotive. It felt like standing right at the front of the train, like on the bow of a ship. The idea is fantastic, but the execution needs work: the video wasn’t smooth (more like a slow slideshow), and the screens were small. Larger, better-quality screens with smoother video would make this feature truly amazing. PS: I also want to mention the staff, both on the train and around it - zero complaints. They are super friendly, helpful, and professional. Whenever I had a question, I got clear answers right away, just a great team. And another positive detail: there is no cell service along the way, and the organizers did not provide Wi-Fi. That meant no clowns shouting on FaceTime or WhatsApp and waving phones around. Everyone simply enjoyed the trip and the views.

One of the better Urban parks I've ever visited 👍 It is large & quite clean. (Except for bird poop) 😅 The park is well maintained. There is parking there is washrooms. Tons of space to move around. Great view of the bridge to the US. Tons of birds to watch.🪿🦆 Lots of places to sit and enjoy the waterfront.
This beautiful park is located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario approximately 1 mile East of the International Bridge. There are playgrounds, picnic tables, benches and walking trails throughout the park and out around Topsail Island on the St. Mary's River.
What a wonderful park that's centrally located near downtown. There are several different parking lots, a splash pad, several kid playgrounds including toddler section, bathrooms, lots of benches, and picnic tables. Several small accessible trails that go down by the water, through the gardens and playgrounds. Great place to bring your dog for a walk and to let your kids run around.
Nice area, plenty of different equipment different ages can play. I There's a beach there as well with benches.
Enjoyed a peaceful walki through Bellevue Park in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The gardens were in full bloom. Loved the vibrant colours resulting from a mixture perennials and annuals planted. The admired the beautiful St. Mary’s River shoreline where the blooming naturalized gardens were humming with bumble bees and butterflies.
Had a great afternoon today at the park. I made a wrong turn, and am I ever glad I did. What a beautiful park to stop at, visit with friends and family, take some pictures, play at one of the many playgrounds, bird watch, or just enjoy the beautiful natural scenery.
Splash pad and good playground equipment for kids. Clean maintained washrooms. Lots and lots of picnic tables and benches all over the park. Beautiful greenhouse on site you can visit. Lots of staff maintain the park wonderfully, grass is well trimmed and not a lot of garbage all over the place. The sailing club and Topsail island are accessible from the same parking lot. Topsail island is a great place for a walk to view the water. Bellevue also connect to the Pine St Marina by a really nice walking trail.
So much fun! Kids loved the zip line. Nice walk along the lake while the freight liners came in. Splash pad looked amazing (it was raining so need to cool off). 10/10!!! And great spot for a picnic too

Very informative and great little museum! The combination of the history, the gardens, and the buildings was fun to walk through and investigate.
Rich in history and fun. The museum guide/curator is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Must see place when In the Soo. The movie was entertaining and very educational.
Exciting experience. First time out of America. Was very cool that my elderly mother could experience going inside as well, as she uses a wheelchair for longer distances, and she didn't just have to look at pictures.
The stone houses are very cool and the museum has some really informative exhibits and artifacts. There are things for all ages and learning levels.
Video helps tie the buildings together and explains a lot of the history.
Very informative about the building of this area and the important people that were part of Sault Ste Marie
Loved seeing the inside of the house. The story of the house was interesting as well. There was a bridal party there taking pictures so that was a bit awkward.
My visit to the Ermatinger Clergue National Historic Site left me with conflicting emotions. On one hand, the staff at the museum were incredibly welcoming and kind-hearted, making our experience enjoyable in that aspect. However, as a young adult university student, I found that the museum's content didn't quite resonate with our age group. It became evident that the site's primary focus was geared towards children, leaving us feeling somewhat disconnected from the exhibits and narratives presented. While this may be suitable for families with young children, it didn't quite align with the expectations of our group. Furthermore, I couldn't shake the feeling that the site portrayed a somewhat colonialist perspective. There seemed to be a lack of acknowledgment regarding the colonialistic impact of Ermatinger on the indigenous community. Terms such as "trading with indigenous people" were used, which, in my opinion, glossed over the harsh realities of colonization and exploitation. I believe there's room for improvement in providing a more balanced and inclusive portrayal of history, one that doesn't shy away from acknowledging the darker aspects of colonialism and its impact on indigenous communities. While the site has its merits, it falls short in addressing these important issues adequately.

Great variety of handcrafted soaps, jellies, fresh produce, honey, fish and more! Great little bug encounter which the young people were so happy and gracious to educate you on, as well as let you handle the critters. Everyone was pleasant and happy to see you there. Inside and enclosed so made for a very relaxing morning and browsing experience.
Came empty handed left full! Great market lots of cool and unique vendors. We ended up with hot sauce, pickles, gluten free baking and beef jerky. Had we know how robust the market was we would have allowed more time for a longer visit. Make sure you head out back when you are there. It’s an amazing space with great vendors as well!
I'm from London,On and I couldn't believe how fresh the fruits and veggies are. A lot of great food vendors. A bit smaller than I thought but it was good.
This is an awesome market area. There is a lot of variety, the vendors often change on different days offering even more variety. Prices are fair, food is good and they people are friendly! It's indoors which can give a nice break from the weather and offers a year round market.
This small market in Sault Ste Marie is great!! They had multiple booths with local fresh fair; fish from Lake Superior, veggies, baked goods, crafts, home made sauerkraut and more. They even have a bug zoo for the kids!
Such a beautiful summer market. Love the vibes and all the stalls! It’s a little cramped but great overall. I got these beautiful flowers!
I love it for local goods ranging from dog treats (homemade) and fresh veggies, spice, every thing nice :)
Great market. Lots of wonderful produce. Beautiful alpaca socks. Fresh baking.

Must see spot in the fall. Plenty of parking around the park. Bathrooms are rustic, good for emergency. No stores around, no water source. Trails are marked well.
We decided to add Crystal Falls as one of the stops on our way back to Toronto from Agawa. Crystal Falls is within Kinsmen Park. We were there before the opening hour which was 9 am but we were still able to access the falls. There is parking area. The falls is just 2 munutes walk from there. We appreciated the steel bridge instead of walking directly on soil & tree roots. The falls had akple water which cascaded down to make a stream unlike the Bridal Veil Falls & Beaver Falls at Agawa Canyon which were almost in drought. We had decent pictures taken without being breathless.
The waterfall is very cool and has a steel walkway to view it from 2 different platforms. The park and small lake are quiet with a few picnic tables and a small playground. The entrance road was awful with large deep potholes.
Great little spot. No entrace fee. We went on the weekend and it seemed pretty busy. I'd go earlier in the day if possible. Everyone was friendly and gave right away to the many bike riders on the trails that day. Swings and a teeter-tottering were available not far from the parking lot. Washrooms and garbage facilities were available. Also connects to the Hiawatha Highland trails up the road. Beautiful spot for photos.
The falls are beautiful. There is a boardwalk for easy access to 3 different viewing platforms. You also have the option to climb further up to a bridge connecting to the voyager trail. There is a large assortment of hiking and cycling trails as well as nordic ski trails and snowshoeing trails in the winter months with occasional signage to help you chart your course and not get lost. There is a nice assortment of flora in the area making for picturesque walking. There is a pond held up by a damage with another smaller beaver pond separated by a walking trail There are several playgrounds for the kids including swings, slides and teeter-totters.
Beautiful place with lots of trails to choose. A small kid playground by the lake too. A short walk to Crystal Fall which is very pleasant. Looks like a popular place for locals. We didn't take the longer trail, only took a short walk up the fall and that section was well marked. Driveway to the parking has some big holes and signage wasn't clear that there is a parking lot further down. Reason for 1 star reduction.
Awesome fall to visit but need to care in while driving down as it's too slippery for cars and too steep plus road is way to narrow. Do visit this place in fall nature at its best plus the way to reach this waterfall is magnificent and feels like paradise if you get chance do visit it
Great hiking/mountain biking destination. The trails are basic to intermediate. The scenery is impressive but even better during the autumn season with the colour change.

This time of year, when they have Bon Soo, that's when they have their members exhibition showing. It's the best one all year round. With so many great artists in the city, it makes it so well-rounded of an art show. Worth seeing hands down. Beginning of February to the end of March.
The lovely ladies working here let me in even though it was closed! They were working on a new display but I got to see some really nice pieces.
Nice small gallery and gift store. Fine displays of a mix of painting and sculpture styles including native Canadian art. Vibrant colors. Gift store full of cool jewelry, textiles, books, souvenirs, and paintings. Students and Seniors get admission for$5. General admission $7.
Small collection but a very good one in a beautiful gallery on the water.. The First Nation artists' works were so alive and very moving, outstanding.
What a great show hung in the gallery this time around!! Always love visiting this place if not for the public showings then just to browse the gift shop. Always worth a visit.
Pretty small gallery, 7$ entry seemed pretty steep compared to other galleries I've been to. Not mad, just surprised for what you get. Gift shop is really good considering location and size. Very well priced and extensive options for gifts. People were nice, and they even have a small place to get coffee, etc.
Phenomenal selection of artwork! Great abstract pieces. Very friendly staff and very affordable admission. 10/10.
Always enjoy a visit here every month or two. Calm space and friendly staff.

Such a great museum with very informative and creative displays! They also have a very cute gift shop for local souvenirs. Both Hannah and Ric were awesome.
Attended the museum for a special music night, it had a lot of interesting exhibits and lovely performers. My favourite part was the gift shop, it had free art kits and neat vintage buttons. I wish there was more signage to help direct the flow of people. Overall I enjoyed my visit at the museum!
Well preserved local museum with large historic displays. Excellent informative collection on first nation people and history Very friendly staff.
It was a bit off putting trying to buy tickets with two employees laughing and cackling so loud in another office that we could not hear a word the person taking our money was saying. No idea what they were watching that was making them laugh so loudly. Too bad they weren't spending their time correcting all the spelling errors throughout the museum. Shocked to find errors in critical dates. The museum has a large amount of interesting items and photos. Too bad the management does not proof read before displaying. Still, it is worth a visit. Hopefully this review will help improve details.
Nice place to visit to learn about this area lots of information, very clean, lots of restrooms and they have an elevator, people were nice there too
I'm taking a class at the museum. Handwoven tapestry. The teacher is amazing. The classroom is inspiring.
The Sault Ste. Marie Museum offers a charming glimpse into the city's history with engaging exhibits and informative displays. It's a great place to explore the local heritage and learn something new about the area. All the staff are nice and friendly.

Very nice and clean mall with a whole lot of stores to get great stuffs ranging from clothing to arts, to cosmetics, books and even jewelleries. There are also stores that sell phone accessories. I love the mall, it’s a great place to just window shop. There’s a cinema there as well as Sephora beauty store. Great place to visit or just to hang around and take a look at nice stuffs.
It's a memorable shadow of its former self. I used to go here as a child and it really was magical every visit. Even more if it was a holiday. Now it's....almost perpendicularly grey in presentation and atmosphere. What's there reminds you of what was, but that's it. It's good to see patrons gathering for their coffee and musings, we got a security complement protecting whatever remains, but as far as any prosperous or grand experience, that's been long lost. You can tell.
Very lovely mall. All they need is more food options at the food court. ie A Greek food option or something like a Thai Express
When we enter the mall it felt a bit like an exploring abandoned places video till we moved past the beetle car location to the food court. There is a robust hub of action around the food court with the highlight definitely being the Bootlegger store. Also there is a large security presence on hand by the food court in case someone runs off with a big slice! Started as a 1 review ended up being a 3. If you need jeans head to the Bootlegger!
The mall is very quiet. Many of the good stores are closed, leaving a mall full of cell phone stores and a dollar store with a security guard that follows you so close he might as well carry your bags. Maybe one day a few good stores will return to the mall and maybe some good food.
This mall is great I am only giving it three stars mainly because of showcase and how uncomfortable they made people feel. I was in showcase today and they had three security guards down at the end of the mall and it made the shopping experience very uncomfortable for a lot of customers I heard a lot of customers complaining that they were uncomfortable and they left right after they entered the store they went to the store and they would leave right away because they felt uncomfortable. The staff were extremely inconsiderate and did nothing about it they let their customers be uncomfortable and they allowed security guards to breed down their neck. What made it most uncomfortable for me is the fact that staff members were following the customers around like we were dogs and so with security guards. I don't know the lady's name but she definitely did not help. I immediately left right after entering the store because I felt very uncomfortable and I won't be going back for a while
Don't let the outside fool you. Although it's not a very big mall compared to what I'm used to it was very nice and clean. Our only purpose for going was to order poutine at New York Fries. We did walk the entire mall and went outside to walk across the street to the riverwalk.
I wish there were more food options and a better arcade for children. Its nice if you want to grab a quick coffee with a friend or pick up a last minute gift.

This tourist information office has a lot of maps and brochures for different cities on Ontario and the adjacent areas as well. There are lots of fun merchandise in the office. The tourist information office offers free WiFi. There are restrooms inside the building. The restrooms are divided by plastic panels and are well stocked and clean.
It was a pleasant experience. The staff was very well informed. We received very helpful info to assist with our itinerary including a list of restaurants, info on a tour bus, maps of the area and province, and even a recommendation for a good grocery store. They were friendly, engaging, and took time to hook us up with the information we needed.
We stopped by to ask how to get to the beach nearby. The staffs were very informative and helpful. It is also a place to get souvneirs, tee shirt and hoodies. We also visited the public washroom there. The outside has some bike repair tools.
A lot of useful information. Great service.
great place to get info on Sault Ste Marie and the surrounding areas.
Stop in for great information if you're traveling anywhere in Ontario
Excellent customer service. Goes above and beyond helping
Went by here today to get a couple guides and Janice helped me out. She is AMAZING! Not only did she give me some great information on travel in the area, but she supplied me with Sault Ste. Marie specific information as a new resident since I just moved to the area. Sights, restaurants, trails, the works! Even went over a local map of the area too. Just such a pleasant experience and nice welcome to the area. I'll definitely be back for additional information for future trips.

I always love coming here, it’s a great place to have different kinds of activities. It is surrounded by a beautiful view and great places to take memorable photos. I recommend visiting this place. You could just take a walk around to enjoy the superb views.
Cool little park we went on a Saturday and it was a ghost town. We only found like 4 shops open. I don't recommend touristing on the weekend to Canada.
This is a public market/arena and there is plenty of parking. Excellent for watching the St.Mary River and the US border. There is restroom here which is very clean. We went on a Saturday and there were a few farmers selling their produce. Very nice quite place to walk around and enjoy the scenic views.
I love all the activities they have here. It is accessible as well, which is a nice bonus. They have two bathrooms, one at the front one at the back. They serve food when an event is going on. The clean-up is quick and efficient after an event. I love the stage and live music the most. It is a hub of activity and a staple in our community. It even had its own facebook page with upcoming events. It has screens they can pull down to keep the sun out, and it is accessed by many different openings. The parking can be a bit hectic as there is not much of it but the station mall is right next to it and you can park there and walk over. Overall a very fun palce to be.
The Roberta Bondar Park and Tent Pavilion in Sault Ste. Marie is a great waterfront gathering spot with a mix of open green space and event activity. It’s right by the St. Marys River, offering beautiful views and easy access to the boardwalk. The pavilion hosts concerts, markets, and festivals during the summer, giving it a fun community vibe. When there’s no event, it’s still a nice place for a walk or a quiet break near the water. Parking is nearby, and the area feels clean and well-kept.
this park is a lively waterfront spot that often hosts community events, concerts, and festivals in Sault Ste. Marie. When it’s quiet, it’s still a nice place for a walk or to sit by the river and watch boats pass through. There’s good parking nearby, clean public washrooms, and easy access to the Hub Trail. The pavilion area is spacious and well-kept, making it great for gatherings.
We didn't actually seek out this park but it was along the boardwalk in Sault Saint Marie, Ontario. The whole walk along the rivers/locks/lakes was very pleasant. We were in our 26' motor home and found plenty of easy parking on the back side of the mall, right next to the scenic boardwalk. After a long stroll, we drove across the international bridge into Michigan where we took a boat cruise through the SSM locks. Very interesting!
This park has a nice big tent type.Canopy over an entertainment area, was very clean and well maintained no garbage , no graffiti. The boardwalk nearby is a wonderful pleasant walk.

Stunning view of the Lake Superior. Hiking here is enjoyable and easy.
Roads closed towards end but if you park there (where the signs say no trespassing) and follow the yellow then blue markers- it ends up only being .5km there and back. Super little effort for a beautiful view. FYI, road is rough but my little car made it so just take your time!
Must be awesome - if reached. I got lost in the woods after a long dirt road. As many others have said, it's an unmanaged road full of holes, and private property, too. I tried the other way from ON 550 but the trials were absolutely the same and I couldn't risk to get lost. So either you go with a local, or get a good map of the area.
Nice short trail, good view of weather coming over Lake Superior
Love the trails here at Gros cap. Can be difficult to find at first, but with persistence, you will see a trail that leads to other trails. One of the trails takes you to a secluded beach area. It is very rocky, but still worth the hike to get there. Beautiful, pristine water, quite cool, but very refreshing on a hot day. Can get very windy here, but on a hot day it's great to hit the trails along the beach line.
Serene experience. Peaceful area with natural beauty and calm water body
This is a great trail, but an important access to the south has been disconnected by a land owner ... who has chosen not to allow access. The property is currently for sale, so maybe the new owners will be more open to their community of trail folk. I haven't hiked or ran the north segment yet.
Must visit..no words to describe
