First hike of the year finished! Amazing! Beautiful! Great hike! Equestrian, bikes and regular hikes are all present, but you will have to share the trails. The Wilderness Loop Overlook Trail is very challenging, be careful of the steep inclines. The Merrick trail was easy to moderate. This state park lives up to it. Remember: the TX State park pass gets you into all the state parks for free!
Beautiful scenery. I did the one mile hike since I was passing through on my way to another park. The staff was very friendly and recommended the hike. The trails are great for mountain biking.
Nice scenery and moderate challenging hike. We went on 2-3 different trails and did get lost at a point. Lots of horse poop, so be careful. There needs to be more signs as you hike so you know which trail you’re on, at least those “0.15 miles” etc. No signs on the road either. Wear sunscreen, even though it was cloudy. Overall, decent place but needs more attention to details and upkeep.
A must visit if you want some beautiful views. Plenty of trails with different levels of climbing. Being plenty of water and sunscreen.
Tucked away but very friendly TPWD staff. Horses available by reservation to discover the trails easier. After heavy rains most trails are closed until the slippery mud dries up. Beautiful area.
I cam here on a weekend. The woman at the reception was very nice and welcoming, great staff. Unfortunately they closed the trails because it rained the day before, So before coming here, I would strongly recommend calling to make sure the trails are still opened. Nevertheless, I walked along the main road and the views were great. It was about 4 miles round trip. It would obviously have been a better experience to use the trails, but I was still very happy with the visit.
During the off-season you don't have to make a reservation in advance but during the cooler months I do recommend because they're limited on parking. Wonderful hiking areas and that's the main feature of this state park
The camping spot was nicely shaded and we had ample room for our tent and tables. We were able to book a guided sunset horseback ride which was the highlight for me! The company we used meets right at the park entrance and takes you through the hiking trail. The local town Bandera is cute as well. Will need to visit again!

This place is a gem! The owners are excellent and the place is a country oasis (even during a drought). We felt the most safe here for the 100+ days we stayed. You can’t beat the rates and the amenities (laundry included for long term stays, WI-FI //strong connection: I worked remotely here everyday// S P A C I O U S lots w/picnic table and fire ring, private restroom and hot shower, kid and pet friendly) Every single person we met here was so down to earth, fun and just good people. Forever grateful that we found this campground and were able to stay awhile. *Best Christmas decorations*
This place is the awesome, quite and beautiful! We went on the Labor Day weekend, and we have the whole place ourselves on Friday night! The water is clear and beautiful, we had such a great time there floating, finding rocks and discovered secret part of the river. Restroom and bath are very clean at the RV parking area, remember to bring some water with you if you camp in the tent area, but there is always water to wash dishes and WiFi at the RV camping area. We discovered some great wild animals there too. We saw deers at night right across our tent! And some turkey crew in the early morning. Some bat and a lot fish in the river which not scared of people at all, they will swim with you! My boyfriend even saw a small bobcat the other morning, but it run away so fast once it hear the noise lol. The owners are super nice and friendly, it is a family business. We arrived after sunset but the father and son Eric greeting us, show us around, help us setup and bring some firewood with their truck. This place seems pretty new, they said they will expand more. I suggest a small gift shop will be even better with some essentials like ice, sunblocks, small gifts, etc. So you don’t have to go the the little shop in town, but it’s only a five minuets drive from the campsite. We will definitely visit there regularly, and bring our friends and family as well!
Stayed a couple nights w my family at the tent campground & loved it! Serene environment w lots of turkey, ducks, deer, & birds. Relaxed, fished, & went swimming. Big thanks to Mr. Derek & family for their hospitality. If your looking for a peaceful get away, here's the spot. A little piece of primitive Texas heaven. Thanks, can't wait to go again!
A wonderful no-frills campground. We like to camp to feel like we are "getting away from it all." Large sites, walking distance to access the river. The site we stayed at had full hookups. Numerous deer in the area. If you want the standard amenities and to be shoe-horned next to your neighbor, this isn't the place for you.
Very accommodating and beautiful little spot near the Medina. Even had firewood on-site for your camp. The drive from SA alone was worth it. Lots of winding roads throughout the hills, and plenty of natural beauty.
Some of the nicest folks manage this place. We got there after hours and they helped us into our spot. The spot was very nice and very big. It had a fire ring and a picnic table as well. He brought us some fire wood as well. We went to San antonio for a quick trip at bass pro shops and when we came out my truck had been stolen with my rv keys in it. The local locksmith was busy so the manager graciously helped me with drilling out my keyhole so that we could get into the trailer. Anyway..... if we ever come back to this area we will definitely stay just because of how nice and helpful they were. The water tasted good and had excellent pressure. Everything was very clean as well. Great place overall.
We arrived last minute and glad we gave it a chance. The owners (father and son duo) greeted us as we entered and were more than helpful throughout our stay. Even helped fix an issue I was having with my AC. We were able to drive a short distance down, to get access to the river and go on a hunt for arrowheads. You can grocery shop 20 mins away at the local Lowe’s. Spaces were more than enough to accommodate my family. It even came with a picnic table and burn pit for the firewood. I would recommend and enjoy coming back again!
This place is basically someone's yard set up as a campsite. It was very clean. Had a private bathroom w/ hot shower which was stocked and awesome. The river is not near the place but there's really not a river left. Be ready to drive on very loose rocky roads. Rocks, not gravel. 3 night minimum makes for a pricey 1 night tent camping trip but my husband and I enjoyed ourselves.

This is a very unique museum. There is a lot to see here. There were a few items I've never seen it in person before and they were is emaculate condition. Make sure to check out the two headed goat display. Very low paced and very chill museum. Take your time.
I was in the hill country for 3 days of training and i am glad i stopped in here. If you love history and antiques this is the place for you. I have to brag on the 2 lovely ladies working behind the counter, they were so nice and welcoming.
Wonderful museum, absolutely packed with so many interesting and unexpected pieces. A must see when in Bandera and we loved the wagon ride that was included in the admission fee. Discovering the bizarre items were similar to an Easter egg hunt 😅
The reception/ticket lady was warm, friendly and kind. We spent about an hour looking closely at the interesting collection they have. Worth the visit if you're in town!
There is a lot to learn from this quirky museum! Our 6 year old loved the scavenger hunt and the docents were incredibly kind and informative. Definitely worth a visit!
This is a really interesting little museum. There are so many cool objects, artifacts from around the world and different time periods. They have weird oddities, intricate pieces, historical pieces, archeological pieces, you will definitely find something that intrigues you here. Also, shout out to the lady who works there she was super sweet and informative!
This is a nice little museum with lots of historic artifacts. I didn't realize that it has been around since 1933! Definitely worth a visit if you're in Bandera. It's $8 admission, but free if you have a reciprocal level membership at another museum (NARM/ROAM).
Worth a visit. Better than the museums in Fredericksburg and 1/3 the price. Amazing collection of 19th century artifacts. We spent 2 hours looking around in there.

Dixie Dude Ranch was fabulous from the first welcoming ‘howdy’ to last ‘ya’ll come back’. Every detail is thought of and I can say you will not go home hungry! There are animals to pet, trail rides, hikes, fishing, swimming, hay rides, exploring, and so much to do. We hiked up to the buzzard cave and saw baby buzzards! Everyone is so kind! The accommodations are great and we enjoyed family style dining so we could get to know other folks on the ranch! We look forward to coming again!
If we could give it more than five stars we would! The owner, staff, Wranglers, and fellow Ranch guests made this birthday celebration for our daughter one to remember for sure! This place is heaven on Earth for horse and animal lovers. Wish we were closer because we would come back again in for longer next time!
We just had the best experience at Dixie Dude Ranch. The highlight- other than the great time my friends and I had together- were the staff of this ranch. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Specifically, Kathryn went above and beyond helping us with a wedding ceremony on site. She made the bouquet for the bride! She made sure there was something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue! So awesome! Rick was also awesome, there to help us set everything up and tear down. Loved the weekend! Thank you!
Where do I even start? This place is absolutely amazing! My husband was a little worried because I’m not exactly a country girl — we’re more the Caribbean resort type — but y’all, this experience was nothing short of magical. The staff were so kind and welcoming. The horses rode beautifully (Wink stole my heart — she’s such a sweetheart). The wranglers were knowledgeable, patient, and handled even the rowdier guests with grace and humor. Jacob was one of the first wranglers we met, and he’s just an all-around great guy. Ray, Zack, and John were all wonderful too. The rooms were spotless with plenty of hot water, the pool and hot tub were perfect, and the food… oh, the food! Three delicious home-cooked meals every single day. I can’t say a single bad thing about this place. If you’re looking for a genuine, unforgettable, authentic experience — this is it. You can thank me later 😉 Sincerely, A not-so-country girl
For anyone looking for a truly magical experience, this is the place. I came here for a girls trip with 7 friends and we had the best time! The entire staff is incredibly kind and accommodating and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. They even called us to let us know they’d save us dinners as we were arriving late the first day. As a mixed group of people who had some to zero horseback riding experience we all felt safe and truly enjoyed the riding experience. I can’t say enough good things about it!
The experience was overall a 7 out of 10. My 2 night stay was very comfortable . The cabin was clean and AC was on point . The food was excellent… The horse ride was exciting I felt safe and comfortable with the helpful cowboy staff. The discomfort was the entertainment which included a man popping a whip while giving false history of the whip. This caused me to leave his show… the surprising looks from most of the guests when I walked in to dinner . Also, a staff member advising me not to go to town because, “I came on vacation and could go back on probation “. Bye-the-Way, I’m Black. #Texascountrygirl
What a fantastic experience at the Dixie Dude Ranch. The food, service and rooms were great but it really is the people that make this place special. From Alec, Rick and Kathlyn at reception to Jacob, John and Zack in the corral — everyone goes out of their way to deliver a friendly, authentic experience. Highly recommended for anyone who wants a true cowboy adventure.
While the majority of our visit was good, there were problems that visitors should be aware of. The rooms were extremely rustic, a little t ty oo rustic with few plugs for modern items. But I think they are forcing you to go without them. However, when the equipment involves my health then it’s a problem. Second, the wranglers for the most part are excellent. The lead one is rude and does not care about visitors. I was put on a horse with serious safety issues so bad I did not ride. Finally, don’t trust your quoted prices. I received a bill more than twice what I expected. And they quilted me into paying their amount by threatening to fire the friendly very nice lady who sent me the amount. If you go, watch yourself carefully!

Silver Spur Ranch is a wonderful family getaway! The owners and employees are very hospitable and have provided a fantastic experience that is not too commercial or too kitschy. The views on the trail rides were breathtaking and the kids loved being up close with the goats, horses, Longhorns and the donkeys. The food was great as well as the evening campfires. Papa J was very entertaining and knowledgeable. We would highly recommend visiting this place.
We had such a fun time and can absolutely recommend this ranch. We had as much time as we wanted to relax and at the same time were as busy as we wanted to be. There was a great range of activities from horse riding to hayrides to searching for fossils. The evenings by the fire pit were entertaining and a great touch giving us the opportunity to have some fun chats with people from all over the world. For anyone who loves animals, there were so many different animals to interact with including donkeys that just roam about! All the crew were incredibly friendly, welcoming and accommodating and some of the nicest people you will meet. From your Australian guests, thank you Silver Spur. Hope to see y’all again soon!
Our ministry staff team recently stayed at the Silver Spur Guest Ranch for our annual retreat. We were blown away by the hospitality from each employee; sleeping accomodations were great (A/C in the cabins - great for the summer!); common areas were spacious with couches, many tables/chairs, pool table, and a huge assortment of games. We enjoyed spending time outside petting the property's 2 free range donkeys (so cute!) and swimming in the 12 foot deep pool. Great spot for big retreats, family vacations, or weekend getaways!
I was so impressed with our stay at Silver Spur Guest Ranch! We were hosting an event with 100+ international students and the feedback from everyone was overwhelmingly positive. The ranch staff were all so accommodating and really tried to make the stay as amazing as possible, such as Papa J sharing live piano music during dinner. We had line dancing lessons, sunrise trail rides, and campfire stories with s'mores. We loved meeting the animals, and the real winner was Duke, the three-week-old baby goat. The food was incredible, too! I'm looking forward to my next visit!
We had a fantastic stay for Labor Day weekend. The owner Patrick was very involved with all guests and present for many of the activities and trail rides. Cowboy Rusty is an all around excellent wrangler and made all of us all feel special. His love for people and God is very evident in his work and how he made time for everyone to make sure they had a great time. He took the time to set my 2 year old up for a pony ride and she loved it. Minnie and the other chef provided great meals and took the time to make sure my gluten free diet was accommodated. All meals were excellent. Intentional is the word. They were very intentional in all things to provide a great atmosphere for their guests. We will be back in a few years for another visit. ❤❤❤
Great family getaway! The staff are welcoming and accommodating. The ranch house has great amenities. The room was clean (not easy to do on a muddy ranch). The horses were awesome and the ranch hands were happy to show us around and talk with us. They treat you like family.
One of the best family experiences ever! Our family of 4 stayed for two nights over Easter weekend and we couldn't have asked for a better way to get away. Spring-time in Texas is beautiful and even in the rain we had an amazing time riding horses and taking advantage of the activities. All of the family that owns and runs the ranch and their staff is friendly and willing to stop and talk. We felt like family and we can't wait to go back!
It was an incredible experience. Everything was well organized, they have a schedule going, Papa J was hilarious and excellent. The room we stayed in was very clean- got towels, sheets, soap, etc. Remember to bring your own shampoo! The main lodge has lots of games that you can play in your own time. Hot, full meals. A lot to do at the ranch, and even if you do something twice for a longer stay, it's different the second time. I would definitely go back for another stay.

My best friend and I were going to visit the river in Bandera city, when it began to rain. We had passed the sign for Bandera Natural History Museum, and decided to check it out instead. It's decorated with a bunch of cute dinosaurs outside, but we didn't get to mosey around the outdoor trails due to the weather. When we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff. We were given a curator guided tour of the Spanish American art, and then explored the taxidermy dioramas. There are so many wonderful finds here. The staff was so kinda, and in fact offered my to use their wheelchair; everything was accessible... Thank you for the wonderful conversations, and for sharing your knowledge, Lisa.
Great value. Admission wasn’t bad, and Groupon made it better. Staff is extremely friendly. Both museums are very elaborate for their size. The outside displays were so fun. Kids loved it.
We took our kids here thinking it would be a cute place to go for the morning to see some fun dinosaur stuff. It ended up being way more than that! We loved seeing the dinosaurs outside and digging for the fossils in the sand. Inside, they boys spent time cooling off watching the dinosaur battles and playing with some dinosaur toys. We were so surprised by the dioramas as well and my boys loved seeing all the animals and searching for the hidden Dino eggs! The fine art exhibit with beautiful paintings and treasures from Spain was unexpected and beautiful to meander through. What we expected to be a short visit ended up being almost 2 hours and we loved every minute!
It's a fun place for kids. The assortment of stuffed animals in side were fun. And our little guy loved the huge metal dinosaurs outside. The reception folks were very nice. I enjoyed the beautiful Christian art. We enjoyed the digging for bones in the sand display and the orange cat 🐈.
Took my daughter's, we had such a great time! They loved it!
I had no idea that in this little town of less than 1000 people there would be such a fantastic and rich collection of natural wonders! People of all ages will benefit from the experience of visiting this museum Be sure to ask for Jessica the assistant director to take you on a historical tour of the Spanish colonial collection
Whilst on our vacation from Wales, UK to San Antonio we visited Bandera. We noticed this museum had dinosaurs on display. Our nearly 3 years old son loves dinosaurs and really enjoyed his visit to the museum. All of the family enjoyed seeing the taxidermy displays and the staff at the museum were very welcoming and super friendly. It was well worth the visit
Great museum, lots of animals on display, with large dinosaur statues outside, along with a fun 'fossil' digging area. The New Spain art exhibit is very interesting, with some unique pieces.

Pavilions and playgrounds are found along the river. Picnic tables and plenty of parking everywhere. We parked near the skatepark and got lots of exercise.
A nice walk beside the river, very relaxing surrounds a good place to unwind. The most surprising feature is the Cypress that lines the banks of the river. Who knew Cypress would exist this far north!
Water was great! Cold and warm pockets of water. Very clean and well kept park.
A very simple park with 3 or 4 playground area's for the kids with benches to sit and watch them in the beautiful outdoors. Always clean and never crowded and easy access too launch your canoe or swim in the river. Also a nice fishing spot. Open to the public,no fee except when there is a scheduled function. Besides the fish, there are ducks, geese, squirrels and lots of deer. Enjoy
Took tons of pictures at the Western festival ( not sure what they called it). Lots of fun.
Beautiful park, well maintained, and clean. There is a river with a small dam waterfall. There are plenty of picnic areas with grills & trash cans that are not full. There are several small playgrounds for kids and ducks to feed. There is plenty of parking. I came here to relax for a while & I made the right choice. It is dog friendly with bag stations posted throughout. If I could change anything it would be for them to have a full bathroom with hand washing stations. However, they do have clean porta-potties scattered throughout the park.
Beautiful park! Play ground, picnic tables, charcoal grills, outlets around, & the bathroom was super clean. Lots of ducks and geese around, kind of seems like they were dropped off at some point but fun to watch. Horses are allowed as well.
This is such a beautiful park! They’ve got bags to to pick up after your dogs and almost all the picnic tables are nestled in between huge trees providing lots of shade. We fed the ducks and enjoyed the view. I highly recommend taking a visit. It was very clean and looked after.

Our first visit to Bandera, TX was very exciting. Loved the gunfight and show. Hope we can someday return to this great town.
They are the first to greet the visitors to Bandera County, and they are proud of it. The welcome you get is so family oriented you feel welcome from the start. No.1 in my book, and is perhaps why folks keep coming back.
Loved visiting Bandera! Didn’t realize it was dubbed as the “Cowboy Capital”. Great to walk around, get some good food, and to go shopping.
Excellent service.. The Lady that came out to greet me was a ray of sunshine and made me want to move there... We had a great time... Well until next time signing off Two Peas
This is an important stop for anyone wanting to learn more about the Bandana area.
Our first experience in Bandera was at this visitor center. It was a great first impression. Carita took her time explaining all there is to know about Bandera, pointed out some locations worth visiting and even took photos of us with some sets in the back of the visitor center. This little town is a hidden gem and we're so happy we've found it! We recommend visiting on a Saturday to get the most out of it.
This was a great visit! So glad we brought our son to see the gunfight and the history in this town. We also took the Wagon Ride with Ron. At 14, our son really appreciated and enjoyed the history of cowboys. Please keep these events going here. It is such a neat experience for everyone!!
It did not meet my expectations. I was so excited to go and see the Cowboy Capital, and it was very disappointing. The cowboy show was nice. The river festival was ok.. it was super hot and soooooo expensive. They should not charge to get in...

They have added an awesome book store inside the mall. I love it!
Amazing stuff in this place. So much stuff and things to look at and buy. If your in this area you need to stop here. Very friendly people that work there. Is there a spirit walking around there?!?! We didn't see it but you might.
You can spend several hours in this store. I believe she told me it was 25,000 sq ft, and each vendor has its own little cubicle. Each cubicle is filled to the brim with great finds. I found mine and now you can stop and find yours. Very clean. Free coffee. 2 stories. I only took a couple pictures there would just be too many to take . Parking is alongside the building, but you can pretty much walk to it from anywhere you've parked.
This was a pretty amazing antique store and they had a freaking canon!!! Like a real freaking canon!!! For Sale! If I didn't have to fly home I would have owned that canon! I'm more of the blacksmith type so I got some good pictures of some very nice anvils they had for sale. If you're not into blacksmith stuff though there's still a huge variety of other things to look at and buy. I probably found a hundred different things I was interested in. It's absolutely worth stopping in!
Just a fun and interesting store. Lots of vintage things that bring back nostalgic memories.
Love the place. When you thought you finishing looking there's also one more level to look at! There I found lots of things i'ved seen as a little girl. That I had to explain to my daughter in how it function. It was a neat place to see.
This is a worlds gem of a store as you will not leave without buying something. It has many many quirky items I’m from the UK and loved it. Staff are so helpful
What a nice place to shop for antiques. You must have time to view everything. It is very big, and has 2 floors. There is no way to not leave with something if you are into antiques

100+ year old Polish church. Highly recommended when visiting Bandera.
Whether you want to attend mass or take a look at this beautiful church I highly recommend. I got married here a few weeks ago. The local priest delivered a great sermon and the church was stunning.
The Sunday noon mass was delivered in Spanish but the homily was in English. The choir sings beautifully and the priest was warm, welcoming and friendly to the parishioners.
Beautiful church with lots of wonderful parishioners. Father Frank is one of the kindest people I have ever talked to. He is kind and loving, and he is your friend! I love my church!
Priests are friendly however very hard to hear what is being said as microphone is not close enough to priest’s mouth to pick up all that is being said. When the other priest speaks he whispers and microphone cannot pick up what is being said. Rosary cannot be heard because the person is not in front of church with microphone so very hard to tell where we are in saying rosary. Parishioners are very friendly.
It's a beautiful church
I went to this church as a child. Many sweet memories arose during my visit. It's more beautiful than I expected.

Small town library, with lots of help if you need something special. Exciting things for children too check out and large areas to try them out. My grandchildren love this library, and feel very comfortable when we visit. Also, there are usually unoccupied computer's for use. Lots of parking on Main Street, tons more in back. Enjoy!
My favorite library here in Bandera, or anywhere else for that matter. All the resources of a big city library with small-town charm and friendliness.
I had need of several different services today and the library provided all of them at reasonable rates. Fax, Notary, Copies, Printing etc. The Librarian was very attentive and she multitasked and helped other customers in between. Overall they deserve the highest possible rating for top notch service. I will be returning in the near future.
Pretty small selection of reading material, but it is a small town. I was incredibly disappointed when I noticed they had TONS of Christian books, and didn't have 1 single book on the history of paganism or Viking history. When I asked about books of paganism the gal at the front desk seemed taken back, thank heavens there was another gal working in the back that heard me and offered me a note with some other stores that could be helpful. We were able to find a book of poems for the little one, which was nice!
This library used to be a bustling center of the community. Now it's a ghost town. The staff was once very friendly and helpful. Now, on the rare occasions that I ask a question, employees are dismissive or downright rude. Mind you, not everyone acts this way, only a couple. But the dismissive attitude is uncalled for. All across the country, small town libraries are being defunded and closed due to county budget issues. Sadly, I'm starting to question whether we need libraries in Bandera county today.
Small library, friendly staff awesome place. We love it Update : Plus if you can't come to return the books on time, just call them let they know your name with your ID library numbers and they will extension for you.
Friendly staff and good material available... But possibly the noisiest library you’ll ever step foot in. Between screaming children, cackling teens, and adults who carry on loud conversations as if they’re at a networking event, this is not a place to go if you need to focus or study without distractions. It’s amazing how there is no respect for others in the library from the adults or teenagers who seem to be there just to socialize. Why not take your conversations across the street to the Chicken Coop!!! The staff really needs to address this problem.
Bandara Library offers many services in addition to getting books to read. The staff is always willing to help and will even select books for you based on your interests. Computers are available as well as free Wifi even when the library is closed. Comfotable seating is available and there are charging stations for your electronics. A very community friendly library!

We did the shuttle service to get to experience most of the down hill trails. Every trail had its own thing I loved. Great trails and something for everyone.
absolute texas hill country gem. 300' foot hills, cedar trees are cleared and nice oaks trees everywhere, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets on the horizons from the top Ridgeline every day, and a big and growing variety of excellent trails that will give challenges and excitement for any level of rider from beginner to pro.
First time at the Park, had a Blast. Special Thanks to Steve for showing me around for a few minutes. Helped me not waste time trying to figure the set up out. Can't wait to go back.
My wife and I came here on Sept 29 after 3 weeks of brutal rain so a few of the lines were closed for maintenance. The parts that were open were awesome! The builders have implemented really good drainage and it shows. We can't wait to go back and camp in a few weeks and get a whole weekend of riding. They have picnic tables and bbq pits up front and had a bunch of covered benches throughout the park for shelter from the sun. There is nothing like this in the area, if you're thinking of driving out I'd highly recommend it. There is a line called "double up" that was super fast and smooth with really tall berms that is a must ride! We can't wait to make it back!
The owner and staff were very friendly however this is a review of the experience and trails themselves which is what we journeyed for. There are no trail maps, only a very general verbal description of the area by the host. We were lost most of the time because the trails are not well marked and split into many different directions. We even came across an instance of two directional arrows pointing at each other. It was difficult to tell if you were on a goat trail, shuttle road, hunting trail, downhill trail, XC trail or the intended actual bike path itself. We stopped several of the nice employees working or performing shuttle duty and no one knew the trails. Even when we were trying to leave they didn't know the way out. Didn't you have to know in order to come out here to work? Perplexing. Downhill trails do not follow the contours of the topography very well. There is a lot of erosion, especially on berms, that swallow bike tires and make it difficult to hold a decent line. Trails are very poorly maintained. By the statements of other reviews, it appears they expect you to pay and maintain? Majority of the trails appear unridden with no flow. They consist of clumps of loose earth, not nice dirt/dust. Ridden in Colorado, South, Southwest and the Midwest on both well used trails and less maintained for the past 25 years and this was by far the worst. Don't know how you can add enough signs to provide direction for this messy web of 'trails'.
This place deserves to get more traffic. Direct competition to Spider Mountain in Burnet, but provides a different experience with a wider variety of trails. Seth and Joey have created some fantastic trails.
Only 1 hour from San Antonio. Super gnarly powder up top Hills to surf and packed flowy towards the bottom lines. A bunch of cool riders building and shuttles to the top.
Great park. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Nothing like this in the area. They let my son test the park before opening day. Highly recommend to bikers of all ages. Worth the drive to Bandera, TX.
