I was in the hill country for 3 days of training and i am glad i stopped in here. If you love history and antiques this is the place for you. I have to brag on the 2 lovely ladies working behind the counter, they were so nice and welcoming.

Wonderful museum, absolutely packed with so many interesting and unexpected pieces. A must see when in Bandera and we loved the wagon ride that was included in the admission fee. Discovering the bizarre items were similar to an Easter egg hunt 😅

The reception/ticket lady was warm, friendly and kind. We spent about an hour looking closely at the interesting collection they have. Worth the visit if you're in town!

There is a lot to learn from this quirky museum! Our 6 year old loved the scavenger hunt and the docents were incredibly kind and informative. Definitely worth a visit!

This is a really interesting little museum. There are so many cool objects, artifacts from around the world and different time periods. They have weird oddities, intricate pieces, historical pieces, archeological pieces, you will definitely find something that intrigues you here. Also, shout out to the lady who works there she was super sweet and informative!

This is a nice little museum with lots of historic artifacts. I didn't realize that it has been around since 1933! Definitely worth a visit if you're in Bandera. It's $8 admission, but free if you have a reciprocal level membership at another museum (NARM/ROAM).

Worth a visit. Better than the museums in Fredericksburg and 1/3 the price. Amazing collection of 19th century artifacts. We spent 2 hours looking around in there.

Great value. Admission wasn’t bad, and Groupon made it better. Staff is extremely friendly. Both museums are very elaborate for their size. The outside displays were so fun. Kids loved it.

We took our kids here thinking it would be a cute place to go for the morning to see some fun dinosaur stuff. It ended up being way more than that! We loved seeing the dinosaurs outside and digging for the fossils in the sand. Inside, they boys spent time cooling off watching the dinosaur battles and playing with some dinosaur toys. We were so surprised by the dioramas as well and my boys loved seeing all the animals and searching for the hidden Dino eggs! The fine art exhibit with beautiful paintings and treasures from Spain was unexpected and beautiful to meander through. What we expected to be a short visit ended up being almost 2 hours and we loved every minute!

It's a fun place for kids. The assortment of stuffed animals in side were fun. And our little guy loved the huge metal dinosaurs outside. The reception folks were very nice. I enjoyed the beautiful Christian art. We enjoyed the digging for bones in the sand display and the orange cat 🐈.

I had no idea that in this little town of less than 1000 people there would be such a fantastic and rich collection of natural wonders! Whilst on our vacation from Wales, UK to San Antonio we visited Bandera. We noticed this museum had dinosaurs on display. Our nearly 3 years old son loves dinosaurs and really enjoyed his visit to the museum. All of the family enjoyed seeing the taxidermy displays and the staff at the museum were very welcoming and super friendly. It was well worth the visit

Great museum, lots of animals on display, with large dinosaur statues outside, along with a fun 'fossil' digging area. The New Spain art exhibit is very interesting, with some unique pieces.

A nice walk beside the river, very relaxing surrounds a good place to unwind. The most surprising feature is the Cypress that lines the banks of the river. Who knew Cypress would exist this far north!

Water was great! Cold and warm pockets of water. Very clean and well kept park.

A very simple park with 3 or 4 playground area's for the kids with benches to sit and watch them in the beautiful outdoors. Always clean and never crowded and easy access too launch your canoe or swim in the river. Also a nice fishing spot. Open to the public,no fee except when there is a scheduled function. Besides the fish, there are ducks, geese, squirrels and lots of deer. Enjoy

Took tons of pictures at the Western festival ( not sure what they called it). Lots of fun.

Beautiful park, well maintained, and clean. There is a river with a small dam waterfall. There are plenty of picnic areas with grills & trash cans that are not full. There are several small playgrounds for kids and ducks to feed. There is plenty of parking. I came here to relax for a while & I made the right choice. It is dog friendly with bag stations posted throughout. If I could change anything it would be for them to have a full bathroom with hand washing stations. However, they do have clean porta-potties scattered throughout the park.

Beautiful park! Play ground, picnic tables, charcoal grills, outlets around, & the bathroom was super clean. Lots of ducks and geese around, kind of seems like they were dropped off at some point but fun to watch. Horses are allowed as well.

This is such a beautiful park! They’ve got bags to to pick up after your dogs and almost all the picnic tables are nestled in between huge trees providing lots of shade. We fed the ducks and enjoyed the view. I highly recommend taking a visit. It was very clean and looked after.

It brings back memories, the candy you use to eat as a child or maybe that special toy . So much in this store. How about a scoop of ice cream and sit on the old stools from way back. The old floors that creek when you walk on them .

A wonderful experience today at Bandera General Store during cowboy gun fight show and a perfect time to shop for souvenirs all with photo opportunities to capture Kodak moments.

Our Family Day mid day finding this place is a throw back from 60s forsure all they need is a jukebox them old 45s...ice cream candy snacks chips salsa treasures and more staff is friendly telling us Ghost stories about the store I believe in ghost

Besides ice cream and cowboy boots, this is a fun store to visit if you can handle tongue-in-cheek, not politically correct, patriotic & proud to be Texan stuff (signs, magnets, etc). There's a sit-down area inside and friendly staff who welcome you when you walk inside.

THEY HAVE THE BEST SUPERMAN ICE CREAM HERE!!! (but they call it "Krazy Colors"). Also they have a bunch of other flavors and shakes, candy, gifts, and clothes. Cute old fashioned store. And Marsha, the owner, is a real sweetheart! Fun place to stop.

Nice little store with all sorts of things from boots to malted milkshakes. The people working were very helpful and polite. The milkshake was very good and my daughter got some boots she loves.

The greatest honky tonkin' saloon in the universe! Only place even close is The Buckhorn in Laramie WY. First time I walked through the door and out of the sunlight into a dark and dreamy land where time stands still, I was 21 years old. Now, I'm 50...I mean, a little older...and it still gives me the same magical feeling.

Really cool place! Loved the live music and inexpensive drinks. However, I couldn't stay longer than one drink because of the cigarette smoke. It's sad that they're forced to allow smoking. The character of this place is remarkable, and I would go back often but for the smoke. Bandera, you're hurting tourism!

Dropped in unexpectedly and had the best honky tonk traditional American bar experience. Lovely friendly people and great value beers

Arkeys is a must-see! Over 100 years old, this underground hideaway is so unique that you feel like you stepped back in time. From the bar top to the Dolly pinball machine. Pinball for a quarter and $7.00 for 2 drinks. We had a blast looking at all the memorabilia, which I'm sure we missed half of! Locals enjoying a game of dominos, and we played pinball! 3 hours of feeling 13 years old all over again. IMPORTANT NOTE : they only take cash payment, no plastic! So make sure you bring cash and quarters! 😆 Gotta play Dolly Pinball!

The bartender Peggy was wonderful. The bar is everything you could want in a 100 year old honky tonk.

Men, if you want a joint to do all your first-date heavy lifting for you and end up looking cool in her eyes. Then take her to Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar in Bandera, Texas. True story.I recently attended a packed Justin Trevino matinee dance on a Saturday at Arkey Blue's. The occasion also marked the first date for me and a woman who drove from Houston to accompany me to the dance. She showed up on time, and was way out of my league. It was her first time in a honky-tonk. She smiled as she took in the friendly, rowdy atmosphere. Then the band started to play and she was hooked. After a song she said, "What a cool place." Men, note how this jumping place made her not regret her decision to join me and was in no hurry to leave. Thank you, Arkey. I had an open bottle in a paper bag at our booth. You see, men. Arkey is BYOB and I brought smooth sipping mezcal to our first date. She asked what was in the bottle, and we started to drink fast and hard. A lady won't usually drink as freely as she would at an establishment when you are buying her drinks by the glass, and she won't feel as warm as my date felt as I refilled our cups right at the table. Thank you, Arkey. The tight acoustics and high volume are so loud, but in a good way, because it forced us to sit close to each other while screaming our conversation in each other’s ear. Thank you, Arkey. The combination of a first date who danced drunk in my arms most of our time there. Thank you, Arkey. Though, mind you, in her coquettish, sophisticated and charm-drunk sort of way, at a friendly venue with a band playing the best music, while we enjoyed our own libations, it easily made Arkey Blue's Silver Dollar in Bandera, Texas, a must destination for a man who wants his surroundings to make hlim appear like the first date she was hoping would be waiting for her after a long drive just to meet him. Thank you, Arkey. But what I will remember the most about our first date at Arkey Blue's was after the dance, kissing her passionately on a quiet, empty street in Bandera. I think there is a song somewhere there. And men, remember to bring the liquor.

4,7 stars - for authenticity! This place has a lot of character. Loved the elderly, no- fuss bartender. Made me feel at home. Loved the ambience where everyone seemed to be having a good time. Simple, relaxed, unpretentious, real. There was live music (cowboy music) and I loved how people got up and danced to it. Beers were $3 each. Had to walk up and down the street quite a bit before I figured out the place is just a door that takes you to the basement! 🤣 Hard to find, but a gem. September 5, 2021

Ordered at the restaurant, and they deluded next door to the Ice Hause. E ordered the fish combo and tornado fries. Neither were remarkable. The fish was slightly undercooked. Seasoning was too soft for my palette. The service and friendliness of the staff was a step in the right direction. I will say the restaurant was full of patrons, so at least the locals find the meals to their liking. The iceHause next door was intimate. Great setting for a date. We watched Mister Bob Stewart perform live and enjoyed every minute.

We stopped in here and thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. The food tasted amazing, the service was incredible and the atmosphere that small town feeling which is getting harder to find these days. Sadly we didn’t make it back in time for some pie on this trip.

This place was AMAZING! I had the chicken fried steak, beef veggie soup, baked potato, and a biscuit. My mother had the patties melt with onion rings, and I finished it off my meal with blueberry buttermilk pie. CFS was a 10/10! Best I've ever had! Super crunchy crust and even though I order a small i have half of everything to take home for lunch tomorrow. Pattie melt was fabulous with just thr perfect amount of grilled onions on a toasted Rye bread! Onion rings were to die for! Crunchy and flavorful! Not over cooked and not burnt. They were perfect. I'd definitely recommend this place. Soup was not salty as I expected it to be. You can tell it was homemade and the pie is downright mouthwatering. Ive never had blueberry buttermilk pie but I love blueberries and I love buttermilk. So, this pie is a perfect combo for me. Excellent job OST!

Starting off OTS is in the cute sweet town of Bandera, TX right off of main street. Where there was all kinds of shopping to be had. The staff was kind, attentive and very respectful. You know that you hit a gold mine when even on a Sunday morning the place is hopping. Now the food. Oh the food! The menu options seem endless. So it was very hard for me to choose. In the end I ordered the Ranch house hamburger steak with grilled veggies, mashed potatoes, and texas toast. My mouth is watering as I am typing this out. I had a bite of my husband's chicken fried steak and wow 👌 I had to ask for another. Let's just say that I chose right. I have nothing bad at all to say about O.T.S. It's a must try in my book.

This place is great! Its an old western type place and it is awesome! I usually get the bunkhouse breakfast which I would highly recommend and it was great! You get eggs, ham, and a pancake, and hashbrowns and is super good! The service is great and if your traveling for sure stop by and try it! Really good and service is great! They also have pretty good hot chocolate if I'm not mistaken! 5 stars.

My wife and I stopped for a bite. We shared a burger. Great tasting burger. Very friendly servers and food was brought out quickly. Nice atmosphere. We will stopped here again.

A++++++ As The Muslim Cowboy, I love the south and horses and ranches and BBQ ETC The service and the events and activities were spectacular. The rustic lodges were very clean and serviced daily. They took incredible care of the horses and we all felt safe riding them EVEN MY 1 yr old!!! Ryan is gosh darn the best ranch hand I’ve ever met and truly is an amazing person who made friends with my whole group right off the bat and has such a gift with people and horses Since I don’t drink, I didn’t take part in any of those activities but they had a world record roper and bull whip expert, they had hay rides and super cool outdoor activities I don’t want to spoil for your next trip. The hospitality and personality of the family who runs it was so warm and welcoming that I cannot thank them enough. Highly highly recommend.

This was such an exceptional mini vacation for me and only 3 hrs from home! The staff were friendly and welcoming. I love horseback riding and hiking and there was plenty of that among other things to do. The food was amazing and homemade and they really put heart and soul into their cooking. I will definitely be back, God willing! Thank you!

We enjoyed a Memorial Day Week getaway to the Mayan, a family operated, legendary dude ranch. Very clean rooms and pool as well as dining areas. The staff was very friendly and there was a daily schedule to guide your activity choices, or you could do things like tennis or horseshoes/pingpong. The food was good. We will be back.

We arrived in a super hot Sunday afternoon, without any reservation and really thirsty. The ranch owner was extremely hospitable, we had access to the ranch, they offer us a good coffee and some sodas. What a shame we could spend a couple of night there… If you are in the Bandera surrounding, consider to book a stay there.

Omg! This is a hidden jewel in the SATX area. I did not know about it until we had some friends from New Hampshire coming into town saying "they wanted to do Texas stuff." (Hmmmm what is that?) Ok. Cowboy stuff. Search and viola = Mayan Ranch. Beautiful place. Beautiful people Excellent food & fun all bundled together. You will NOT be disappointed about the decision to spend time here. I promise. Extra bonus: there were families with kids here from England and France. In this crazy world, it's nice to see people from all over mixing and talking and getting along. Kids playing and laughing and everyone enjoying this experience together. Come join the family.

Had a wonderful time recently, will definitely be returning in the future. The only drawback was when I was taking a much needed nap when housekeeping let themselves in through the adjoining room then opened the door to my room(the latch would not work otherwise it would have been locked) scaring me half the death. She asked me if I needed service, I obviously did not. Please provide Do Not Disturb signs for your doors.

Loved it!! Just left and had an amazing time. The food is really good and everyone was so much fun to talk to. The location of it was so pretty and definitely wanna go again!

We went to the small bar during the day connected to this venue. We did not have food. It was a quaint little place! The bartender was excellent and friendly! It is a great day drinking bar!

This is an amazing place, bring your own steak, there’s a market at the end of Main Street. Bring a knife to cut into your steak as you’re grilling to check doneness. You pay for sides as you enter… salad baked potato with trimmings and a roll. I would recommend learning the two step an easy dance to go out on the dance floor with confidence and talk with the people around you, make some friends, it will definitely make for an awesome night!

Really fun place to go. I don't know how to rate a bar I just went there drank drinks with friends and I had a great time. I would go there again and again it was really fun.

Quint honky tonk, good service, very reasonable prices eg $4 beer bottle. Live music. Lounge but not too loud.

A very fun spot for country music lovers! They bring in great bands, have a great stage and dance floor, an outdoor environment that’s very comfortable (especially after the sun sets) and attracts a fun mature crowd of cowboys and cowgirls. We walked from the hotel, or you could ride your horse in. We were there on a Wednesday night when you can bring your own steaks (or whatever) and cook them up over a hardwood fire. For a small cover charge you’ll get a perfectly baked potato and a simple salad on a paper plate and plastic utensils (a pocket or buck knife comes in handy) and you can cook and eat whenever you like. Folks brought coolers of their favorite foods and picnicked with big smiles. Most crowded around the fire when it was very hot for a nice char, or wait until the fire settles and cook yours more slowly. Drinks are reasonably priced and quick at the bar - no table service. I don’t know about other nights of the week, can’t imagine it’s much more than country simple, but Wednesday is BYO food - this place isn’t about the food. There was scant staff and they worked hard, the band was GREAT and the guests very happy. I’d do it again in a heartbeat!

All our dishes are delicious. Especially the fried chicken, not just best in town, could be best in Texas. Yep, I am not joking and if you are in the area, this is a must have.

Hidden gem. We stood in front of the entrance (behind the hotel) and weren’t sure it was a restaurant. You have to look for it, but well worth it. Beyond the small entrance it spreads out to many tables with a view of the river valley. Service was great and food was amazing.

First off the service was awesome. The waiter was very friendly and well mannered. The food was great and the thing that stood out to me was that they knew their regulars and what they wanted as soon as they walked In and now a days its hard to find that. I hope to return soon.

(This is an updated version of my review) We went a little after 12 and it was not busy at all. We ordered the potato skins ( photo below) and it was delicious there was 6 of them but I forgot to take a photo of that and only have the one. I got the pulled pork sandwich and it was the the best pulled pork I have ever had ( as long as I remember). I got shoestring fries and mac and cheese with the pulled pork, there were really tasty. Three members of my party got the buffet (does not happen all the time and photo below) and they said it was really good. The second time they went back some of the chicken was a little undercooked but we hold them and they quickly fixed it. The buffet consisted of chicken, corn, mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. My sister got the cheeseburger (kids cheeseburger)she said it was really good but was smaller than she would have liked. She got ice cream after it was vanilla and it was really good. I got pictures of the menu and the sweet tea was tasty not crazy sweet. The waiter was mostly on top of the drinks and he was nice. The bathrooms are a little small but they are clean. It can get a little busy here but it is worth it, I recommend coming here.

Not the best we’ve tasted, but definitely still unique and has wonderful food! Overlooking Medina River, the restaurant is decorated nicely and with a nice view. The wait staff is quick, kind, and reads minds. The food portions were large and prepared well, and the gravy was the prime topping to the entrees. It’s hidden behind a motel and is a fantastic place to stop on by when passing through Bandera.

Our visit is a tale of 2 experiences. Our first 20 minutes was a definite 0 star. Beautiful afternoon to sit out the deck overlooking the ravine and river. We were on the deck with 3 other tables being serviced, however, TWO waiters completely ignored my family and I as we patiently waited to be acknowledged and waited on. Never happened. Even when the patrons at the three tables left, we sat out on the deck alone and nobody ever came back out. I say it was 20 minutes, my spouse says 30, that we patiently waited. I walked inside and talked to Daniel, the first waiter I saw, to order some drinks. Daniel was awesome and saved the day for us. Turned an awful experience into a satisfactory one. He took care of us from then on and gave us the attention and courtesy anyone would expect at a restaurant. The food was delicious and also a savior which was the reason we went to Brick's in the first place. Home cooked fried chicken and chicken fried steak were moist and flavorful. Smashed potatoes are a must try! Fried pickles and their jalapeño ranch are a great appetizer. Kids had grilled cheese and chicken tenders which they devoured. In Brick's defense, they are short on wait staff and are overwhelmed. However, a simple acknowledgment from the wait staff would've sufficed. Completely ignoring a patiently waiting family of 4 is never acceptable. The manager spoke with us and apologized for the lapse in service which we appreciated. I would return because Daniel was awesome and the food was delicious.

Amazing stuff in this place. So much stuff and things to look at and buy. If your in this area you need to stop here. Very friendly people that work there. Is there a spirit walking around there?!?! We didn't see it but you might.

You can spend several hours in this store. I believe she told me it was 25,000 sq ft, and each vendor has its own little cubicle. Each cubicle is filled to the brim with great finds. I found mine and now you can stop and find yours. Very clean. Free coffee. 2 stories. I only took a couple pictures there would just be too many to take . Parking is alongside the building, but you can pretty much walk to it from anywhere you've parked.

This was a pretty amazing antique store and they had a freaking canon!!! Like a real freaking canon!!! For Sale! If I didn't have to fly home I would have owned that canon! I'm more of the blacksmith type so I got some good pictures of some very nice anvils they had for sale. If you're not into blacksmith stuff though there's still a huge variety of other things to look at and buy. I probably found a hundred different things I was interested in. It's absolutely worth stopping in!

Just a fun and interesting store. Lots of vintage things that bring back nostalgic memories.

Love the place. When you thought you finishing looking there's also one more level to look at! There I found lots of things i'ved seen as a little girl. That I had to explain to my daughter in how it function. It was a neat place to see.

This is a worlds gem of a store as you will not leave without buying something. It has many many quirky items I’m from the UK and loved it. Staff are so helpful

What a nice place to shop for antiques. You must have time to view everything. It is very big, and has 2 floors. There is no way to not leave with something if you are into antiques

Whether you want to attend mass or take a look at this beautiful church I highly recommend. I got married here a few weeks ago. The local priest delivered a great sermon and the church was stunning.

The Sunday noon mass was delivered in Spanish but the homily was in English. The choir sings beautifully and the priest was warm, welcoming and friendly to the parishioners.

Beautiful church with lots of wonderful parishioners. Father Frank is one of the kindest people I have ever talked to. He is kind and loving, and he is your friend! I love my church!

Priests are friendly however very hard to hear what is being said as microphone is not close enough to priest’s mouth to pick up all that is being said. When the other priest speaks he whispers and microphone cannot pick up what is being said. Rosary cannot be heard because the person is not in front of church with microphone so very hard to tell where we are in saying rosary. Parishioners are very friendly.

It's a beautiful church

I went to this church as a child. Many sweet memories arose during my visit. It's more beautiful than I expected.

My hubby had such a great time on our visit to “Spirits of Texas” last week. Crazy that after 23 years we just happened to go inside. Dave schooled us on lots of drinks and it was really fun. He was super friendly and very passionate about his job.

Wonderful store!! Did a tasting of Painted Donkey Pineapple, Watermelon, and Grapefruit Tequila. This store has all kinds of things besides a fantastic selection of spirits!! Including live music!!

The Best store to get a Texas made gift you can’t find anywhere else. They have everything from jelly to local liquor 🥃 and clothes. The old school drinks are a must to grab as you walk around the town. The owner is amazing and full of pride and energy. A must when visiting the Bandera.

When you’re in Bandera you have to stop here for your libations! David is one of the friendliest folks you’ll ever meet and he has an incredible selection. Do a tasting of your favorite Texas liquors, wines and pick up a cool Texas T-shirt to show you’ve been to God’s country!

Absolutely loved our experience at Old Forge Restaurant in Bandera! The service was outstanding—our waiter was incredibly attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and checking in at just the right moments. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the food was just as impressive. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great service and a memorable dining experience!

I have got to say. This place was wonderful for myself and my family! Stephanie our server was very attentive and made sure we had everything we need. As for the food greatly portioned. My son got the chicken strips and there was plenty left over. The chicken fried chicken was so tender and juicy, and the breading wasn’t thick and hard it was light and crunchy. It really hit the spot! My boys were happy! To the cooks keep doing what your doing! Servers keep up the beautiful smiles and service. The owners great job we will definitely be back. Thanks also for having the Cowboys game on!! Quick note the alcohol beverages were good and greatly priced. Blueberry pina colada’s yummy and a first for me.

Exceptional is how I would describe this establishment. The service kind and friendly and on point. The food is absolutely delicious and if Texas is what you’re looking for in a location tj’s did it !

Came here on a whim for our 10 yr anniversary after a sunset horse backing riding event. Taylor, Jamie and staff made the night special and the food was delicious

It had been a couple of years since our last visit, and with a local volleyball game nearby, we decided to stop back in, and we’re so glad we did! The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was exactly as we remembered: warm, comfortable, and inviting. Our server, Jackson, truly stood out. He was patient, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without ever being overbearing. His timing was perfect, his demeanor welcoming, and the small touch of calling out a “thank you and goodnight” as we left made the experience feel extra personal. Highly recommend this restaurant.. it continues to be one of our favorites!

We were at a job site and this was the closest place we could find to eat. We stopped for lunch. The food and service was great. We debated on going back for dinner and even lunch the following day.

I had the chicken cordon bleu and its was some of the best I have had. My sister got fish nuggets and she said they were pretty tasty. My brother said the fish was good. The crazy mac and cheese was said to be delicious. Our waiter was nice and was on top of our drinks. The bathrooms are big and clean. On days with live music it can get pretty loud in there but otherwise its not too loud.

They are the first to greet the visitors to Bandera County, and they are proud of it. The welcome you get is so family oriented you feel welcome from the start. No.1 in my book, and is perhaps why folks keep coming back.

This is an important stop for anyone wanting to learn more about the Bandana area.

Our first experience in Bandera was at this visitor center. It was a great first impression. Carita took her time explaining all there is to know about Bandera, pointed out some locations worth visiting and even took photos of us with some sets in the back of the visitor center. This little town is a hidden gem and we're so happy we've found it! We recommend visiting on a Saturday to get the most out of it.

This was a great visit! So glad we brought our son to see the gunfight and the history in this town. We also took the Wagon Ride with Ron. At 14, our son really appreciated and enjoyed the history of cowboys. Please keep these events going here. It is such a neat experience for everyone!!

It did not meet my expectations. I was so excited to go and see the Cowboy Capital, and it was very disappointing. The cowboy show was nice. The river festival was ok.. it was super hot and soooooo expensive. They should not charge to get in...

Country style deco and most items are fresh ingredients. Service is friendly and everything is very basic. Yellow sticky pad to take orders and payment thru the gift shop next door. Food came out like homemade and duck egg is an option for eggs.

Such a quirky place with amazing 🐔 decor. Yummy food at great prices. We were able to enjoy live music during breakfast. Definitely recommended.

Stopped in on a motorcycle ride through Bandera. Very kind and courteous wait staff and the food was amazing. We had biscuits and gravy and the veggie scramble with biscuits. All was delicious. Will definitely be stopping again.

Hands down best breakfast spot in town. Fresh, homemade from scratch and local farm ingredients is impossible to beat when you have a creative top notch cook, knowledgeable wait staff, and down to earth prices. David took care of us along with a new kid whose name I neglected to get but he is a quick study and provided a good helping hand. I tried the creole cheese grits, fully loaded and it was amazing! Also had to try a waffle which was homemade buttermilk old school style made me think I was back at my mommas. This place is the real deal, only shortcoming is they aren't open but a few days weekly. Don't miss them if they're open, they make Bandera a worthwhile stop or side trip traveling in this area.

We love this place. It is a wonderful place to get breakfast with the family on the weekend. We like to show it off and take our visitors there! Friendly small-town vibe, and tasty breakfast food made with local eggs. And the homemade fudge included with each order is delicious!

Great place with excellent service. Wife got a cowboy hat and band. They were great altering the band and securing it. I bought a very reasonably priced sheath knife. Excellent quality and very sharp.

I came in here to get the brim of my hat adjusted. They took their time and did a great job. I asked them how much I owed them but they wouldn't accept any money, even when I insisted. True Texan courtesy, service and quality!

Strange behavior from the staff. It felt like Iwe weren't allowed to touch anything and got Strange looks from the redhead. Unfortunately, because of how we were treated we left and went to the next store spending over $800. We love Bandera, TX but we'll make sure to skip this store in the future.

Very nice store. They sell cowboys and cowgirls hats. All types of clothes and boots. The "cowboy " salesman was so helpful. Helped us with our purchase but helped us with the town. Telling us what was going on where to see horses. Definitely recommend a visit

While the prices are fare, the female staff are overwhelming and will constantly stalk you through the whole store like you’re going to Rob them! Don't ask for them to shape a hat you just purchased, the way you'd like or they will call you picky. This store seemed very racist to my Hispanic girlfriend on many occasions , giving us side eyes the whole time you're in the store! If you're not a local beware, they will stalk you all over there tiny store! The Cowboy Capital is mostly white and come off as racist to any other culture! Visited on 5/11/2024 in the afternoon and many times before!

I was going to give them a two because my first experience with the ladies who worked there when I bought the boots was great. They were very helpful the first time. However, after wearing my boots on three occasions (a house party, church, and Wurstfest), I noticed the stitching was starting to come undone. Because I'd paid almost three hundred dollars for them, I decided to see if I could exchange the boot for the same style and size because perhaps the pair I had gotten had a defect of some kind. I called ahead and a man answered. I told him that I'd bought the boots last week and "the stitching was falling apart". He asked me what the style was on the box and the size. I read off the information and asked if they had the right boot in the store and if it was possible to come and exchange them. He said yes and I replied saying, "Thank you, I'm on my way." Two hours later I got there and brought them in. I said I'd called and showed him the box and Dustin (the man working there) said that they didn't have that size and he remembered speaking with me on the phone but I never asked for the correct size and I was lying. My mom had also come with me and she was very annoyed with his attitude. She told him so and he proceeded to insult her. I pointed out that he was being awfully rude and we'd driven a distance to simply make an exchange. He then proceeds to tell me that I'd lied to him about the state of the boots and he was going to lie to the owners to help me because the boots "weren't falling apart" and I didn't need an exchange. I tried to explain why his understanding and comprehension of the situation was very incorrect and he accused me of screaming at him and pointing (I talk with my hands). He tried to mock both my mother and I when we said things were getting out of hand and asked if everyone could just start over. Dustin was incredibly rude and has some serious anger management issues. I will not be shopping at the Cowboy Store ever again because of his attitude problems. I really hope the owners don't keep him on the staff, he does not do their store's reputation any credit.

I was beyond excited to finally find children’s boots in my daughters size! Plus a new pair of Circle G boots for myself was exactly what I needed! The ordering process and pick up process during these inconvenient times was so simple! Definitely going to be doing more of my shopping here!

We've been good customers, i've brought my entire family in here to buy. Them not refilling on the weekends is something I just learned. Which is understandable, they're busier and don't have time to cater to both kinds of patrons with usually just one person working there. My issue was with the woman working today. I opened the door to step inside and she immediately shut me down saying, "we don't do refills on the weekends".Keep in mind this was in front of a customer she was working with. I said "oh okay". Taken aback because one I obviously didn't know, and 2 she was so obrupt about it, it threw me off guard. I felt like she didn't want my business She then asked, "can you come during the week?" I said, "idk maybe". I'm like the rest of us working during the week. It's one thing not to refill on weekends, however, had she been a little more welcoming I probably wouldn't be bothered by that and bought something anyways. Please consider this for next time. We're still paying customers.

Bought the scorpion smoked salt and it’s the best salt ever. I put it on almost everything I eat: clam chowder, tomato soup, all meat dishes, even green bean casserole. I will be back at some point to buy more and some other types as well.

This is a super cute shop it has all kinds of smoked salts, that are very tasty. It also has a super cute boutique as well.

I shop here a lot but I will never shop in this place ever again my two year old was looking at a toy and was not going to open it and if he did I would have bought the toy. The sales associate with curly hair came up and was very very ugly and loud and said “ CAN YOU NOT LET HIM OPEN THAT TOY “ it was the way she said it. I had an arm full of stuff and was planning on buying a lot …sad because I really love the kids clothes they have and buy the boys stuff all the time but I will not be talked to like that.

Wife requires that we stop by here on a regular basis. She pretty much always finds something she likes, and I was even able to find a proper Stetson hat rack here, and they pulled it off the wall and sold it to me! Really friendly gracious staff that are just as helpful as you want them to be... if you just want to be left alone and browse, they don't bug you, but if you have questions, they'll help you out as much as you need. Great place!

This place was a must to stop at. I seen all the cute stuff outside. The lady that helped me pick out my stuff was SUPER helpful and very welcoming. I gave it 3 stars cause the clothes were very pricey. I bought 3 items 2 shirts and a Kimono and the total was $124. Hopefully They can bring the prices down.

We are customers of this little shop. After coming by on a quieter Bandera day the experience was not just horrible, but saddening. When my family from Chicago comes to visit its always a request to stop by this shop. (To spend money with no limit) excitedly walking in hoping to find more treasures as usual, immediately the lady at the front register loudly hollors at a young employee, "you need to come to the front now" . She had the young girls follow us and monitor each move we made. While keeping an eye on us we were ALL being given disgusting looks. This made me regret every purchase I had made in the past. This made my family feel awful and saddened as they witnessed pregudism from a small town. They're only nice when there is an event in town and many people are coming in to spend money. Other than that they are very stereotyping. Stop by the shops across the street or near by. We purchased many things as we were greeted and assisted with kindness. As other reviews have mentioned, this place is over priced. I apologize to the owner for my skin color and we will never return and spend any more money here. I hope this behavior doesn't speak for the town Bandera as a whole .

Placed an order (W5316902) 8/10/21 waited 8 working days. Called spoke with supervisor Michell 8/18/21; to correct the billing address & shipping address. Michell told me she would ship the item & I would receive it within 7 working days. Haven't received the item yet. Spoke today (8/28/21) spoke with Normie; was informed it wasn't ever shipped. As I shared with both person I'm performing & I need THAT skirt. But I couldn't get anyone to expedite my order. Hurt & upset!

We love Bandera texas shopping, but this store has it all! Its a block off the main street meaning its not "as crowded" but they have everything from amazing Metal work, to Western wear, to kids toys, to this great BBQ sauce from Star AF Ranch that is amazing! I love the addition of home made treats I grabbed some of the best jam I've ever had. The lady selling it was very sweet and knowledgeable. I was happy to purchase from her. I even found a cute pair of Dear John shorts from thrift section! I love this store.

This place just buys merchandise from Chinese companies like Shein and Temu and then gouges the price. You're better off just ordering it online and not overpaying for cheap goods. Another example of the American dream gone to the dogs. Someone with money opens up another store supporting themselves and the Chinese economy. All sales are final, so she gets your money and laughs all the way to the bank. True Texans seem like they'll walk all over anyone for a dollar.

Very friendly staff! I bought several large metal art pieces for my yard. The store is very cute and have a lot of nice merchandise. It's a must stop shop when you're in Bandera.

Quality knives and jewelry. Have bought a few knives from here and a beautiful hand made silver necklace. Shayne is a true craftsman in silver jewelry making and can make custom pieces. I need to buy more! His wife Cindy is very knowledgeable in their products and has great recommendations. Check out their arrowheads on display. A great little store. Store does have limited hours of operation, only open on weekends at this times.

My Godson and I had a wonderful experience with Shayne and Cindy at SB Western Silver and Knives a week ago that exemplified everything I miss about a small town - courtesy, enthusiasm and service. Shayne not only went out of his way to help us with my Godson's previous purchase, he patiently explained some of the distinguishing features between several of the other Artists' knives in his collection. Go-to place in town for breakfast tacos!Whether we’re grabbing them to go or eating there, Mi Pueblo has never failed us. The food is always delicious and the service is great. My husband also loves their beef fajita tacos and pancakes! I will say — if you’re ordering to go, it’s usually faster to park and run inside to grab your food. The line at the window can get long since people are often ordering and waiting there.

They serve breakfast even later than most, we really wanted breakfast tacos and stopped in at 11 am. The jueves rancheros were perfect, I don't think anyone can mess up this plate. We also tried the pancake plate and s couple of tacos. Thank you for serving us chips and salsa to start. It was nice and quiet and the servers were great. No issues on waiting, just good fresh food.

Been a long time customer to Mi Pueblo so I understand that the service and food’s quality can vary but recently I’ve felt that Mi Pueblo’s quality in a hehe menu items have changed and began to deteriorate in quality, with numerous errors made in preparing the food (i.e. missing food, ingredients once present, etc…) that it’s made the food unappetizing and has made me rethink eating here.

Dont sweep and I mean long dusting sweeping!! and pine sol mop when customers are still eating lunch! AND your still seating customers to the mopping and strong pine sol smell! Choking from all! Got up and left! Really? I brought it to the attention of staff and they just looked at each other like du h? Close duties are just that, at closing!!!!

I'm a chef and I will never sugar coat... The food over all was pretty good... Charro beans kinda let me down tasted like ranch style beans that someone tried to change... couple things need a little work... menus and high chairs where really dirty... and that's your first impression... Newly renovated, looks great. Dame great food. We had a plate, can't remember the name, but basically fajitas with ALL the meats. Absolutely delicious! A definite must if you're in Bandera.

My favorite library here in Bandera, or anywhere else for that matter. All the resources of a big city library with small-town charm and friendliness.

I had need of several different services today and the library provided all of them at reasonable rates. Fax, Notary, Copies, Printing etc. The Librarian was very attentive and she multitasked and helped other customers in between. Overall they deserve the highest possible rating for top notch service. I will be returning in the near future.

Pretty small selection of reading material, but it is a small town. I was incredibly disappointed when I noticed they had TONS of Christian books, and didn't have 1 single book on the history of paganism or Viking history. When I asked about books of paganism the gal at the front desk seemed taken back, thank heavens there was another gal working in the back that heard me and offered me a note with some other stores that could be helpful. We were able to find a book of poems for the little one, which was nice!

This library used to be a bustling center of the community. Now it's a ghost town. The staff was once very friendly and helpful. Now, on the rare occasions that I ask a question, employees are dismissive or downright rude. Mind you, not everyone acts this way, only a couple. But the dismissive attitude is uncalled for. All across the country, small town libraries are being defunded and closed due to county budget issues. Sadly, I'm starting to question whether we need libraries in Bandera county today.

Small library, friendly staff awesome place. We love it Update : Plus if you can't come to return the books on time, just call them let they know your name with your ID library numbers and they will extension for you.

Friendly staff and good material available... But possibly the noisiest library you’ll ever step foot in. Between screaming children, cackling teens, and adults who carry on loud conversations as if they’re at a networking event, this is not a place to go if you need to focus or study without distractions. It’s amazing how there is no respect for others in the library from the adults or teenagers who seem to be there just to socialize. Why not take your conversations across the street to the Chicken Coop!!! The staff really needs to address this problem.

Bandara Library offers many services in addition to getting books to read. The staff is always willing to help and will even select books for you based on your interests. Computers are available as well as free Wifi even when the library is closed. Comfotable seating is available and there are charging stations for your electronics. A very community friendly library!

02/2022 Sat out front of The Courthouse to watch The Cowboy Mardi Gras Parade. Thank You Bandera for allowing the parade to happen in your town, my only issue was way to commercialized, it was like watching a parade of billboards of go by, of nothing but advertisement. Someone from the City of Bandera needs to travel to other locations to view other Mardi Gras celebrations and get some ideas on what to do next year to make this I better parade that what you currently have in place. There was a farmers market and a ole fashioned shoot out scene done by locals which was cool complete with blanks. Really cool place to hang out with family and enjoy the scenic drive out to bandera

I purchased the Feather pendant with a Figaro chain. These were my first purchases from Hyo Silver and quality exceeded my expectations. Customer service was excellent to deal with. I received my items in the mail and everything was packaged very nicely and came with a beautiful polishing cloth with the Hyo Silver logo. I will certainly be ordering more items in the near future.

I reached out to a few different places about having a custom belt buckle designed and made and they by far produce the best product from the design process to the quality of the buckle. 100% recommend to anyone looking for custom buckles . The ladies attending the store today were absolutely amazing! They went above and beyond to help my husband and myself in purchasing my new wedding ring as an anniversary present. The craftsmanship is outstanding and I couldn’t be happier with my new purchase.

Thank you for such quality rings. My husband had a chest toolbox lid fall on his hand the ring took the hit. Saved his fingers from being chopped off. Then a month later he got it caught on an engine hoist. This time we had to order a new ring but 5 years of pure abuse. And it took it all. Thank you for quality!! Original and how it ended.

I ordered this custom buckle 8 weeks prior to Xmas as a present for myself, and a retirement memory for the final years of my Fire Department Career. Worked for over a month with the designers to get it all right, and perfect. Paid extra for the custom design. Was happy with what they designed, until it came in. Shield was crooked and detail to shield was poorly done. Sent it back right after Xmas with promises from company it would be fixed. 8 weeks later; I got the exact same buckle back. They didn’t even have it redone. Just sent it back. Same swirls, same mistakes. I took before and after pics. They are the same! Basically took my money and didn’t deliver. I was really hoping for positive results today, and HyoSilver basically told me to eat ****, without saying it. Only reason I’m leaving this review here, is because I was lied to and cheated and had my money taken from me and product delivered was not product promised. Sad because it’s custom, you have no recourse. I do however have every email, text, photo, to publish so others don’t make the same mistake I did and trust HyoSilver with my money to do the right thing. Before and after pics posted below. About 8 years ago I lost the stone in my ring. They replaced for free (warranty) and shipped it at no charge to a different address and I got it just in time for my wedding. Now, 8 years later, I wore a prong off, sent in to fix, they did a phenomenal job and charged me VERY LITTLE to fix. I'm just so happy with the customer service of this business. My ring looks absolutely amazing. Get so many compliments on it.

PLEASE VIEW THE PHOTOS. I ordered this ring for Christmas for my boyfriend, and while it came in time it was not wrapped as I had paid for it to be, and the ring was inexcusably messy and very poorly crafted. Paint was all over the silver from where the black band had been clumsily painted on and the barbed wire resembled crooked knotted rope. I am so upset, and customer service wouldn’t let me speak to more than two people. The best they could do was offer a return shipment label, which I asked to be sent to me in case all else fails. The website says no refunds, however I wasn’t expecting the awful quality that I received; the other pictures from reviews look beautiful. I was also informed that the below “deviations” were due to the fact that they’re hand made. I just want a refund at this point, as I will have to go and buy another ring to have in time for Christmas, and I will no longer need this one. I’m also doubtful of the quality that I would receive if I go down the route of replacement .Absolutely do not buy online, or buy anything that you can’t hold in your hand before you pay for it.

Beautiful scenery. I did the one mile hike since I was passing through on my way to another park. The staff was very friendly and recommended the hike. The trails are great for mountain biking.

Nice scenery and moderate challenging hike. We went on 2-3 different trails and did get lost at a point. Lots of horse poop, so be careful. There needs to be more signs as you hike so you know which trail you’re on, at least those “0.15 miles” etc. No signs on the road either. Wear sunscreen, even though it was cloudy. Overall, decent place but needs more attention to details and upkeep.

A must visit if you want some beautiful views. Plenty of trails with different levels of climbing. Being plenty of water and sunscreen.

Tucked away but very friendly TPWD staff. Horses available by reservation to discover the trails easier. After heavy rains most trails are closed until the slippery mud dries up. Beautiful area.

I cam here on a weekend. The woman at the reception was very nice and welcoming, great staff. Unfortunately they closed the trails because it rained the day before, So before coming here, I would strongly recommend calling to make sure the trails are still opened. Nevertheless, I walked along the main road and the views were great. It was about 4 miles round trip. It would obviously have been a better experience to use the trails, but I was still very happy with the visit.

During the off-season you don't have to make a reservation in advance but during the cooler months I do recommend because they're limited on parking. Wonderful hiking areas and that's the main feature of this state park

The camping spot was nicely shaded and we had ample room for our tent and tables. We were able to book a guided sunset horseback ride which was the highlight for me! The company we used meets right at the park entrance and takes you through the hiking trail. The local town Bandera is cute as well. Will need to visit again!

We absolutely love this place! Such a great community-minded, fun and relaxing place. They always have fun things going on and if there is a need in the community they are one of the first to raise their hand to help. Highly recommend! Even if you don’t have a taste for beer they always have fun and interesting ciders, tasty sangrias, and good wine-based margaritas (even if Jared doesn’t think so, but what does he know?!). Go check them out!!!

Really great place thats really well kept (pretty flowers scattered about). My husband said their beer was great, my drink was fabulous. Staff was friendly, attentive and seemed happy to be there! The layout of the place is well thought out and is fun and upbeat! Stop by and I bet you'll be back- I know I will! Great job Liz and John!!!

Bandera Brewery had plenty of parking for our 46’ rig. However, ensure you go into the lot at an angle as there is a slight slope at the entrance. The drinks were very good! A definite must-visit if you are traveling through this area. The atmosphere was very nice. You do need to go to the restaurant next door for food but that was not issue as you can bring the food into their establishment.

We stopped in to Bandera brewery tonight as our HH. We love brewery and this one isn’t any different. It has great beer and a beautiful out door space. That every one should check out. They have a game room and a ton of things to do besides just sit and drink beer. Not that there’s anything wrong with just sitting and drinking beer but sometimes some of us enjoy activities. This is a super cool brewery. If you’re in the area make sure you check it out. We really enjoyed our time there.

Yes, there is a brewery in Bandera. AND it is well worth the stop, a detour or a trip just to go there! Great brewing philosophy and it comes through in the beers. Well thought out, but not over done. No off flavors and just delicious! In addition to around 10 or 12 beers on tap, they have mead and cider too. There are games for the little one or just the young at heart. Outdoor seating in addition to indoor. Have a good truck (be sure to check the hours) and live music in the evenings. An overall relaxed modern and chill vibe. Loved it! We will certainly be back!!

Just found this little jewel!! They have several beers that are brewed on sight. They are also dog friendly, kid friendly and the bartenders are off the hook!! Their beer is like no other I have ever tried. Do yourself a favor and go by and give them a try!!

Awesome little startup... fun naming scheme for the beers, and they're pretty good too. Worth the stop to try them out to see what ya like. The palette isn't always what you'd expect... not bad, but not your usual. Look forward to seeing how they grow with experience.

$5 self pay dump station with rinse water. Easy in and out. Although the metal framing around it makes access clumsy.

I've been coming here for over 5 years, so the grounds are good. Rv hookups are 120volts instead of amps. Bathrooms look exactly the same...if they are making money from events they are certainly not investing it back in the park.

Great place to have a gathering. We were invited to a graduation party. They have a stage and an area to serve food. Tables and chairs for seating and meals. Occupancy permit is for almost 200 people. Parking at the building.
