Top-secret, Cold War-era missile silo that's now a museum offering guided tours & exhibits.

Amazing! Went here on a Thursday in December 2024. Wow, just wow! Felt like a combo of Minuteman Missle NHS, Star Trek First Contact, and X-Files. Great tour. Great insight from the tour guide. Limitless access to pretty much everything in the complex. And the cherry on top was touring outside above ground. I would have paid triple and still thought it was a great value. Super easy to get to with plenty of parking, gift shop, and restrooms. You will not regret your visit.
Very cool place to visit! At the Titan Missile Museum you go underground into a real Cold War missile silo and see the massive missile up close. The scale of everything is incredible and really makes you feel the history. The guides are excellent — they explain everything in a very interesting and easy-to-follow way. Definitely worth it if you’re in Tucson!
This place is awesome!!!! My son and I really liked it and we BOTH want to recommend it. The tour was very informational and going down into the complex was very cool. The price was very reasonable, able to take pictures (obviously) and if you go......when asked for volunteers in the control room, do it.
We took the guided tour, toured the grounds, and checked out the gift shop. The tour was excellent’, our guide Steve mixed facts with humor. It tells quite a story of the world during the Cold War and the USA missile program . You get to tour the missile facility, control room and missile silo. The gift shop has a great selection including NASA goods. Left us feeling amazed and a bit shook considering what this facility was capable of.
This museum is absolutely worth a visit! Our guide, Steve, brought the experience to life with a great mix of humor and deep knowledge. After the tour, I even had the chance to connect my ham radio to the original 80-foot-tall, 60-year-old Collins Discage antenna — and made contacts all the way to Hawaii and my uncle in Tennessee. A truly unforgettable experience!
I attended the guided tour, I recommend the tour over topside viewing. It’s a fun adventure into the military tech of the 1960s. Just thinking about being stationed here waiting for a fight that never happened in a secret location had me imagining the lives of these young men. What an interesting time the Cold War was. Having grownup in the 80/ and 90s we had more of a sense of purpose in those days. Great tour and guides.
This was a great tour. So informative and interesting to be up close to our nation’s defenses during the Cold War. There is an informative video to kick off the tour. They also have an interesting area showing uniforms and other items from the silo. Lots of stairs to get into the silo and out. The presenter was super friendly and informative. She did provided a thorough overview, explaining the order of operations within the silo while answering all of our questions. Unfortunately you do not get to see the living/sleeping quarters. They said insurance restricted those areas from the public. I was disappointed, wanting to see everything. Just so you know ahead of time. Be forewarned, quite a few things of interest are outside, above ground. If you are not from AZ, plan accordingly. Bring some sunscreen, wear a hat to provide some cover for your eyes and water, lots of water. With this being said, it is not a huge area so there is not a ton of walking. They also have really good paths around the vehicles and engines so even with mobility challenges, you can tour the outside. They have a great gift store section. Lots of aviation and NASA items. It makes sense since they are associated with the Pima Air Museum. (Which I would highly recommend as well!) HIGHLY recommend this tour. It is outstanding and worth the visit.
Very interesting history and exhibits in the lobby as well as a view through the fence of a disassembled missile. Big draw back of the guided "tour" for us was the 45 steps down and the 45 steps up.

We found this place by pure luck and happenstance. We were so excited we did. We got there right before a scheduled guided mine tour so we were able to participate. The sheer scale of the mine is amazing. Also noteworthy was the amount of automation that has been implemented into the operation. Very few employees noted while the mine was in full operation. The tour guide was pleasant and seemed to be learning the info and duties of his job. The quick reference docs he had was helpful to provide accurate information.
Stumbled upon this gem by accident. We were welcomed by the lovely young lady in the gift shop. I believe her name was Amber? She was extremely helpful and kind. My husband is hard of hearing and needs things repeated often. She didn't blink an eye and smiled while doing so. She told us about the Discovery Center and all of the things to do there. From a guided tour to the mine, to a self guided tour with a video, museums ( indoor and outdoor) as well as a giftshop. She is a wonderful sales person as well. We spent a few hundred dollars on unique copper gifts. I truly hope that she sees this, so she knows how much she mattered to us. We highly recommend stopping here, it is a true gem. Next time we plan on doing the guided tour of the mine and definitely more shopping!
After living in AZ for over 40 years, I’d never been to an AZ copper mine. This is the only mine in southern AZ that even has a tour. We learned so much about one of Arizona’s biggest industries on our tour bus and at the stops.
Outstanding and informative tour, hats off to ARARCO for sponsoring this and encouraging the public to visit and learn - most miners don't want to bother with the public. Very knowledgeable ex-teacher as docent. Scale of the mine (when you first get to the overlook, reminds you of the Grand Canyon) and equipment is incredible - and you get to see it in operation. If you have the least curiosity of what happens at a mine, put this on your list - you won't be disappointed.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Unusual touristy trinkets available. Historic mining equipment on display. The guided tour requires a reservation and is quite worth it.
Hour long tour that seemed to go way too quick. Tour guide "Jim " was a wealth of information. I recommend getting there an hour before to watch the movie so you can understand and apply info from the movie to what you actually see on the tour. The equipment is massive,
Great tour. Take you on a bus. Go in Great detail about the history of Asarco. I recommend calling ahead to make reservations as the tour bus fills up quickly. Great place to take students for a field trip.
This place is awesome. Our tour guide was amazing, answered all our questions. If you love manufacturing, technology, etc you will love this tour. We brought our 2 year old and he had a blast looking at all the trucks, plus we got a free surprise at the end of the tour!

Great Place! The staff is very helpful & kind and the fresh Pecans are delicious! Plus they have just about anything you can imagine creating or cooking using pecans, from snacks to pies to chocolates to roasted pecans in 20+ flavors. Everything I have tried from this store has been Great! You pay a little more, but Its definitely worth the money especially with the Nice old fashion customer service. If you live close by or just driving through I highly recommend stopping by & checking out this small but awesome local buisness.
Very sad to learn that this gem of a place will be closing its doors for good at the end of 2021. Always a pleasant drive from Tucson down Nogales Highway & the ideal destination for pecan products of all kinds, including the best pecan pies I & everyone I know have ever tasted. Those who love a bit of heat may also want to stock up on the never-to-be-repeated Pecan Hot Sauce. This place will be truly missed!
If you love pecans then there is no place better to get them than fresh from the farm. I am not in the area often enough let alone during their summer hours of 10-3 M-F. They also do ship most of their items so be sure to pick up a catalog. They will not the pre made pies but you can order the ingredients in a jar. While I usually get the Chocolate Pecan pie, I had to get the plain this time because they sell out fast. They are that good. I also pick up a few other pecan items as well. If you want help with portion control then get the mini pies. Because they are individually sealed they will last longer too.
Fresh organic pecans! 😊💕👍🏼 The dark chocolate and pecan “turtles” are really good too. There are picnic tables and a restroom.
Drove all the way down there only to discover that they were closed due to preparation for there annual festival not sure why they couldn't still make a sale oh well next time! It wasn't a complete waste of time I was able to enjoy a really good lunch at the food truck they have out front I suggest if you're in the neighborhood you try it go see Checho for a fabulous red chili tostada and very inexpensive as well as delicious couldn't believe red chili meet tostada for a dollar fifty
Pecan everything in a compact space! Fresh pecan halves, pecan meal for cooking, pecans flavored in every which way, and they also offer an organic pecan, which is nice
Got to go do and see place in area! Reasonable priced pecans of any imaginable variety, quality too. Best tasting pecans I ever had. Bought a bunch to bring home for presents and they were big hit. Everyone agrees, best pecans ever. Glad they ship, but every time when in town, I am stopping by.
Staff is awesome and friendly. All kinds different options of pecans.

great park they have a children's play ground up to date they are currently remodeling butnj..sure it's going to be even better the base ball fields are awesome the snack bar is very good they have team specials ,the hot dogs don't even fit in the bun and they have kids going around asking if you would like anything from the snack bar the lights for the baseball field are bright just a good atmosphere all around.
They just "Re-seeded" the large dog side of the park only. 6 inches deep!! Very unsafe for dogs and owners trying to play ball or any fetching. Plus, as you can see in photos, the dogs prefer the outer ring off the pee gravel. Then, loose gravel all over sidewalk, making it a unsaplace to walk. Terrible idea!!!!
As many have noted, the small dog side of the dog park has grass while the bigger dogs only get pea gravel. Fortunately, there were people with larger dogs on the grassy side and they were very willing to leave if anybody came with smaller dogs and did not want the larger dogs there. While I was there the people and the dogs all got along great no matter what size! To get closest to the dog park, stay on the main road and drive past the main recreation building on your right (east) until you see a sign for the north entrance. The street you turn off on is Cartegena. You will then see a sign on your right for the dog park, baseball fields and splash pads.
My first time at a dog park. To me, the facilities were excellent. Water for both humans and dogs, plenty of dog bowls. There are two areas, one for small dogs and one for large active dogs. There is free Wi-Fi here and a place to sit in the shade. The grass is well kept and there's a rock perimeter around the main grassy area. There's a short hose by the drinking fountain, which was nice because I could spray my dog down to cool her off. I was able to spend a little time here by myself. I wasn't sure how my yellow lab would do with other dogs. Several other people showed up and she did great with them. Everyone was nice and I had a great conversations.
First time here and this is a beautiful dog park! Looking forward to visiting here with our new puppy. Sahuarita is such a beautiful community. We are your neighbors in Green Valley.
I had heard good things and since the usual haunt was closed we took the pups there to play. Unfortunately, it seems that they just decided to switch to gravel on the large dog side and my dogs were not fans. They just walked around the edge on the concrete for the most part. Definitely a bummer. We won't be going back. Grass is nice but difficult to keep up here. My dogs are perfectly happy with dirt or sand, though obviously the pea gravel is uncomfortable for them 😔.
Great pkace to go see fireworks 🎆 big skies loved it
Had our 2nd Birthday party for granddaughter there. It's a great place.

I have had many sessions with Sabrina at Rubs in Sahuarita and each one was always five stars, but this time I was in pain when I came in. She always takes the time to listen and find out exactly what her clients needs are and this time was no exception. Sabrina made sure that her pressure was perfect, as I need extremely deep pressure to work through some awful muscle knots. She focused on my problem area with masterful hands which gave me some relief that I hadn’t had in months. Sabrina is also wonderful at offering tips, like stretching, creams, different shoes, and all types of things to help in self-care. If you have the need for a deep tissue massage, I urge you to go see Sabrina. She is wonderful.
Sabrina gave me the best massage I’ve ever had! Her technique was perfect and she even gave me helpful advice for my shoulder pain. I’ll definitely be booking with her again! Victoria at the front desk was also super friendly and made the whole experience seamless. Highly recommend Rubs and booking with Sabrina if she’s available! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Rubs Massage in Sahuarita is one of the best massage studios I have been to and it is all due to the wonderful and talented staff! Each therapist has their own special techniques; I have never received a less than exceptional service. This studio is the reason why my chronic pain is manageable.
I have been here three times and each visit has been great. A huge shoutout to Michael, who has given me my massages each time. He really knows how to work out the right spots on my body. Always feel great after each visit!
I have severe scoliosis which causes many ongoing issues. My neck and hips/low back are the most impacted areas, with the rest of the back acting up as it sees fit. Sabrina has helped tremendously the past few months with her work on my neck and hips especially. Headaches and sciatic nerve issues, which were 24/7, are now only occasional. I definitely have improved quality of life!! Highly recommend Sabrina
Great massage, fantastic staff, why go anywhere else? I've been going to the Sahuarita / Green Valley Rubs for almost 5 years. I have tried other places in I always come back to this Rubs. I have recently entrusted Sabrina with my massage therapy needs. She is amazing! She uses my input to continually update the techniques and pressure she uses to maximize my visits. Plus they offer a military discount. That speaks for itself!
I love going to rubs in Sahuarita/green valley. Sabrina is absolutely wonderful. She always listens to which areas I need extra time on and works those areas, instead of those who ask but still only do a standard massage that is generic. She's very welcoming and sweet. I always look forward to my massages with her!
I was at Rubs recently and had a wonderful massage by Michael. He helped with my neck and back. Great feeling when I left. A couple weeks later I had a facial by Mistie. I also thought she had done an amazing job. Both were very professional. I would highly recommend Rubs. I will be a repeat customer
