Military Museums
Nestled just south of Tucson in Sahuarita, the Titan Missile Museum stands as a remarkable testament to Cold War history. This unique site is the last remaining missile silo of its kind, offering visitors an immersive experience into a pivotal era. Guests can embark on guided tours that take them underground to explore the Titan II Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Site 571-7, where they can witness firsthand what life was like during those tense years.
Amazing! Went here on a Thursday in December 2024. Wow, just wow! Felt like a combo of Minuteman Missle NHS, Star Trek First Contact, and X-Files. Great tour. Great insight from the tour guide. Limitless access to pretty much everything in the complex. And the cherry on top was touring outside above ground. I would have paid triple and still thought it was a great value. Super easy to get to with plenty of parking, gift shop, and restrooms. You will not regret your visit.
Jimmer W — Google review
Very cool place to visit! At the Titan Missile Museum you go underground into a real Cold War missile silo and see the massive missile up close. The scale of everything is incredible and really makes you feel the history. The guides are excellent — they explain everything in a very interesting and easy-to-follow way. Definitely worth it if you’re in Tucson!
Daria K — Google review
This place is awesome!!!! My son and I really liked it and we BOTH want to recommend it. The tour was very informational and going down into the complex was very cool. The price was very reasonable, able to take pictures (obviously) and if you go......when asked for volunteers in the control room, do it.
Brian M — Google review
This museum is absolutely worth a visit! Our guide, Steve, brought the experience to life with a great mix of humor and deep knowledge. After the tour, I even had the chance to connect my ham radio to the original 80-foot-tall, 60-year-old Collins Discage antenna — and made contacts all the way to Hawaii and my uncle in Tennessee. A truly unforgettable experience!
Daniel G — Google review
I attended the guided tour, I recommend the tour over topside viewing. It’s a fun adventure into the military tech of the 1960s. Just thinking about being stationed here waiting for a fight that never happened in a secret location had me imagining the lives of these young men. What an interesting time the Cold War was. Having grownup in the 80/ and 90s we had more of a sense of purpose in those days. Great tour and guides.
Bryan H — Google review
Great experience. Definitely recommend stopping out. Learned a bit about our history I never knew. Love how they kept it original for every thing.
Donald W — Google review
Very interesting and informative tour. Celeste was great and very knowledgeable answering everyone's qusstions. Highly recommended if you are in the area.
Justin T — Google review
Very interesting history and exhibits in the lobby as well as a view through the fence of a disassembled missile. Big draw back of the guided "tour" for us was the 45 steps down and the 45 steps up.

Casino
Desert Diamond Casinos & Entertainment in Sahuarita is a popular destination offering a wide range of entertainment options. The casino features plenty of gaming choices, an on-site hotel, various dining outlets, and nightly entertainment. It's open 24/7 and boasts a 2,000-seat concert venue, sports bar, restaurant, and the well-loved Diamond Buffet. This location is part of the Tohono Oodham Gaming Enterprise with three sites in Southern Arizona.
The exterior of this place is beautiful. Inside is well maintained like their other properties. Staff is very friendly gives the small town feel. Dealers are energetic and root for you to win. I came in on a Sunday morning older folks enjoying their day. They have around a dozen tables and hundreds of slots. A couple of food spots to eat including a buffet. Didn’t chow down this visit but maybe I will on my return.
S J — Google review
Wow. While the atmosphere is lack, the Diamond Cafe had wonderful food. We had a cheeseburger and fries and a Club sandwich with fries. A free soda machine sat next to the Cafe and there was no sales tax! The condiment bar was well stocked. Both meals were large and delicious. We both left portions of the meal as we were chock full. For the money, this is a real go-to place.
Todd P — Google review
Excellent venue for concerts. Intimate, not too large, with easy and free parking. It would be a little easier if the box office for will call us at the venue, not the casino building, but oh well. Beer selection can be better. The sound quality and acoustics are great
Yaron Y — Google review
Caught the Tiffany Haddish comedy show here with some friends . It was a full house . Pretty well organized , ushers walked Me directly to my seat . The venue for comedy show isn’t huge but we had a good time & would go back . Getting out of the parking lot afterwards was also surprisingly quick thanks to traffic controllers
JP P — Google review
Wow, what a beautiful hotel and Casino. Can't say we did well in the Casino (slots, hehe) but everything about the hotel was top notch. We will visit again. Beautiful view from our balcony. (Free upgrade) 49th anniversary was perfect.
Tim R — Google review
Scotty McCreedy concert. Arena seating is not very steep, so visibility was a bit impairted. The sound was good. The parking lot was a bit challenging after the event, even after waiting 20 minutes before walking to our car.
John N — Google review
Went for the Donna Summer's tribute with friends. The venue is great there really isn't a bad seat in the place. The concert was fun. Everyone had a great time.
Douglas S — Google review
Attended the Marshal Tucker Band concert on Sept. 27, 2025. I don't gamble but the bar in the casino was reasonably priced and comfortable with many screens and a variety of seating and free bottled water was provided. The food was delicious and arrived quickly to my table and the soft drinks were free. The restrooms were sparkling. The concert venue was large, modern, clean and comfortable with a great sound system and ushers to guide one to their seats. The Native Americans have a well oiled machine going there and it was a positive experience in every aspect.

Mining company
The ASARCO Mineral Discovery Center & Mine Tours in Sahuarita offers an informative and entertaining experience for visitors of all ages. The working copper mine tour provides a firsthand look at the mining operations, with enormous trucks operating in a 1,300-foot-deep mine. The center features indoor exhibits explaining the refining processes and outdoor displays of actual equipment used in mining. Visitors can also enjoy a short presentation before boarding an air-conditioned coach to tour the mine.
We found this place by pure luck and happenstance. We were so excited we did. We got there right before a scheduled guided mine tour so we were able to participate. The sheer scale of the mine is amazing. Also noteworthy was the amount of automation that has been implemented into the operation. Very few employees noted while the mine was in full operation. The tour guide was pleasant and seemed to be learning the info and duties of his job. The quick reference docs he had was helpful to provide accurate information.
James C — Google review
Stumbled upon this gem by accident. We were welcomed by the lovely young lady in the gift shop. I believe her name was Amber? She was extremely helpful and kind. My husband is hard of hearing and needs things repeated often. She didn't blink an eye and smiled while doing so. She told us about the Discovery Center and all of the things to do there. From a guided tour to the mine, to a self guided tour with a video, museums ( indoor and outdoor) as well as a giftshop. She is a wonderful sales person as well. We spent a few hundred dollars on unique copper gifts. I truly hope that she sees this, so she knows how much she mattered to us. We highly recommend stopping here, it is a true gem. Next time we plan on doing the guided tour of the mine and definitely more shopping!
Claudia V — Google review
After living in AZ for over 40 years, I’d never been to an AZ copper mine. This is the only mine in southern AZ that even has a tour. We learned so much about one of Arizona’s biggest industries on our tour bus and at the stops.
Laura M — Google review
Outstanding and informative tour, hats off to ARARCO for sponsoring this and encouraging the public to visit and learn - most miners don't want to bother with the public. Very knowledgeable ex-teacher as docent. Scale of the mine (when you first get to the overlook, reminds you of the Grand Canyon) and equipment is incredible - and you get to see it in operation. If you have the least curiosity of what happens at a mine, put this on your list - you won't be disappointed.
Chad A — Google review
Staff very helpful and friendly. Unusual touristy trinkets available. Historic mining equipment on display. The guided tour requires a reservation and is quite worth it.
Chuck T — Google review
Hour long tour that seemed to go way too quick. Tour guide "Jim " was a wealth of information. I recommend getting there an hour before to watch the movie so you can understand and apply info from the movie to what you actually see on the tour. The equipment is massive,

Great tour. Take you on a bus. Go in Great detail about the history of Asarco. I recommend calling ahead to make reservations as the tour bus fills up quickly. Great place to take students for a field trip.

This place is awesome. Our tour guide was amazing, answered all our questions. If you love manufacturing, technology, etc you will love this tour. We brought our 2 year old and he had a blast looking at all the trucks, plus we got a free surprise at the end of the tour!

Farmers Markets
Heirloom Farmers Market in Green Valley is a year-round market located just off I-19, a few miles from Sahuarita. It's known as the largest and oldest market in southern Arizona, open every Wednesday. The market offers a wide variety of products including produce, food, arts and crafts. With over 100 vendors, visitors can find items like wild Arizona clover honey, original oil paintings, turquoise earrings and more.
Do it in the summer too! Get there early to enjoy amazing wares, artisans, food, and everything in between! In the coming weeks, I'll be posting more reviews on the vendors out here. So follow me for more. The summers are hot, but the people are super cool! I know, corney, right? But seriously, there's plenty of shade and super friendly, helpful people!
Jim — Google review
Have been attending this farmers market for over a decade and recently I can say its really impressed! Many stalls with loads of variety and delicious food. Kid friendly, dog friendly, and wheelchair accessible. Even despite the crowds my grandmother who uses a walker was able to maneuver with relative ease.
Katie A — Google review
My sister and I drove down from Tucson for this market. It was very nice. There were lots of art-type booths with a wide variety of hand made items. We will be returning! It is open every Wednesday from 9-1, I believe.
Sara C — Google review
this is a fairly large market, however it is all the same people, almost all commercial travelers to all the local markets, all hawking touristy purchases, jewelry, bad art, a ton of sweets and candy. Very little homegrown or fresh produce, or any real items, or truly original things, its not worth going more than once to get a breeze through and wish for a real farmers market.
Maggie E — Google review
I went to the "Things to Love" booth. She does amazing work and sells functional fabric items, such as microwave bowls, crossbody wallets, crossbody purses, baby and adult bibs, water bottle carriers, and shirt aprons.
Heather M — Google review
I am a vendor at this market (Mugwumpers Mugs) and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys browsing a large variety of artists and fares. Coffee, produce, food, are all there to enjoy. The market runs from 9:00 to 1:00 every Wednesday and offers over 100 vendors. The drive from Tucson is pleasant, too. Bring your friends, your dog, and yourselves and enjoy a fun morning at the Green Valley Farmers Market at the Green Valley Village at Esperanza and I-19.
Marla S — Google review
Very interesting place, you don't know what to expect. Spent a few hours, made a few purchases. I enjoyed my time there.

Fishing pond
Sahuarita Lake Park is a serene desert retreat offering various outdoor activities for both locals and visitors. The town-owned park features a man-made lake stocked with Rainbow Trout, making it a popular spot for fishing with the necessary license. Visitors can also enjoy kayaking and canoeing on the lake. The park boasts a paved pathway around the lake, providing picturesque views of the surrounding mountains and ample seating areas.
Wonderful place for a nice walk or just a lake side sit. Not too busy, but lots going on... wildlfishand people. There was a 5K going on and music could be heard all around the lake. We enjoyed that.
Vicki E — Google review
This is kind of a hidden gem in the middle of several subdivisions. You can walk with the family, run (exercise stations around the loop), fish, enjoy community activities, or relax in the grass. Everyone we encountered was cordial and respectful of each other's space. Check the community calendar, as planned events can alter the ambiance (not a negative).
Micah P — Google review
This is a great place for walking. People here are very friendly and polite
Sergio A — Google review
I love walking around the lake here and viewing the wildlife. Usually not very crowded and plenty of parking; people are friendly. Great place for photography too.
Diane M — Google review
A peaceful, lovely man-made lake in the middle of Sahuarita suburbia. A sidewalk winds around the entire lake with benches, picnic tables and chairs shades areas. The best part: the lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout, and other species! You need a fishing license to fish here, but the only lake to fish in for miles and miles. Kayak and canoes are allowed as well. Great area for a stroll with cool breeze in the midst of 110-degree summer!
Ryan B — Google review
Great place for rest and relaxation or a nice run, jogging, fishing, and they have a great swimming pool nearby.
Ernest J — Google review
This web page says there are public restrooms at the lake park. But, that's not true. You need a code to use them. Only the residents there have the code, and they will not share it.

Went here for the Sahuarita Festival, I couldn't tell what the park looks like without food trucks, tons of people and vendors, but I could tell the park is well maintained 🤷🏽‍♀️ lol

This is a great inexpensive room to rent for small gatherings. I have used it both for a baby shower and a birthday party. They have two different size rooms a small room and a larger room. Clean restrooms, staff very easy to work with. This room is right next to the new splash pad. The parking lot is a little small and it is used by the public since it is right next to the splash pad, so just be aware of that for your event. Would definitely use it again!

Fun to see the brass animal sculptures, but other than that, you would just come back for the typical playground, pavilion, b-ball courts and pool. Veterans memorial was added in about 2017, so I'm not sure if the park is technically open to the public or not, but the pool is access restricted to HOA residents.

Although swimming is not allowed, the scenic walking trail around the lake offers beautiful views. Additionally, the area features a waterpark overlooking the lake and attractive housing communities.
Sailed my radio-controlled sailboat here on a sunny windy day, and had a pleasant walk around the lovely lake with lots of trees. Sat at a bench to eat a sandwich and greet other friendly and diverse passers-by of all ages. Once my sailboat got caught on a fisherman's line, so after that I was extra careful!

Nestled in a shopping center, Pub 1922 is a charming vintage-inspired hangout that perfectly blends the casual vibe of a gastropub with an impressive selection of craft beers and cocktails. This inviting spot offers a delightful menu filled with hearty dishes that are sure to satisfy any palate.
I went to Pub 1922 to meet an Internet blind date. I didn't get to try their food, or drink anything but Diet Coke, but we both liked Pub 1922. It's an upscale place with great service. They were showing the baseball playoffs on TV, but at a reasonable volume so we could hear each other speak. The date went well, and we plan to go there again... next time, for dinner.
Otto — Google review
Popped in the other day on a whim. Happened to be happy hour so there was a nice $2 discount on drinks. Place was quite busy but the service didn’t suffer from the server. First beer selection was out of stock so I ended up getting a draft. Came out quick, cold and fresh. Wife got a mixed drink and loved it. Just got a couple apps on this visit, best as well, the prices seemed a bit high for them, but the portions were generous so after seeing the sizes, the prices seemed more validated. Food came out after a bit, and was great. We got an order of Carne Asada fries, and a half order of chicken Nachos. Only issue I had here was the men’s room was in need of a cleaning badly. I’m not typically one to comment on this area but it was needed.
Blaze R — Google review
Great fish and chips! Not busy when we were there, Sunday afternoon before Superbowl. Decent draft beers too, and an all-day happy hour.
Brian L — Google review
I ordered a Greek salad w/ chicken for pick up. Paid $24 and change and when I left and opened my salad it was upsetting. The big pieces of chicken a few crumbles of feta the dressing tasted more like Italian dressing than Greek. I’ve ordered that salad there many times and had never been disappointed like yesterday. Will never order it again.
Bella B — Google review
Let me first say that, the first time my wife and son went here for dine-in, it was an amazing experience. However, all it takes is one experience to ruin it all. This afternoon, my wife and 5-year-old entered and were sat super quick. The place didn’t look busy, especially with it being 1:30pm. When seated, the hostess just handed menus and walked off. No big deal. About 10 minutes go by, and nobody comes by to offer water or take that first drink or appetizer order. Looking towards the entrance, the hostess, some dude and another female, possibly the waitress, were all bs’n by the front door. 2 minutes later, a group of 6 comes in, is seated, and tended to immediately. We left, and let the young man at the door know that having us sit there and be ignored for over 15 minutes is a shitty experience. Being told, “oh that’s our bad” as a response made it that much worse. We will never return. Yeah their food was good the last time, and service was good, but again, I’m not gambling my time to see if my family will be served.
Justin ( — Google review
This is honestly hilarious. Was allegedly “carne asada fries”. Came out with cold, dry, overcooked, unseasoned ground beef over cold fries. And for $17 is a joke. Not only that but it too the entire time we were here for all the appetizers to come out. Not only that but we were charged $27 automatic tip since out party was over 6, but 2/8 didn’t even eat. This is why actual Sahuarita residents don’t come here🤣 The waitress was really sweet but definitely could have been more attentive.
Kaela H — Google review
I've never seen chicken sliced so thin. Bread and veg sandwich. Avocado was a bit too funky to eat.
Sherry M — Google review
I have always enjoyed this place. Until today. I had been craving the pulled pork sandwich with crispy onion straws. My Husband surprised me, & ordered it for my lunch today. It was a real let down. A pile of basically raw onions, not crispy at all. Plus. The pork was not very good..full of fat. He called, & had it replaced. They took my coleslaw. Did not replace it. We will not be getting food again. $20.00 for that mess ..no thanks.

The Green Valley Pecan Company Store is a delightful destination for pecan enthusiasts, offering an array of locally-made treats and fresh pecans straight from the farm. Visitors can indulge in delectable pecan pies or opt for variety packs featuring an assortment of pecan delights such as brittle, chocolate-covered, and honey-roasted options. Great Place! The staff is very helpful & kind and the fresh Pecans are delicious! Plus they have just about anything you can imagine creating or cooking using pecans, from snacks to pies to chocolates to roasted pecans in 20+ flavors. Everything I have tried from this store has been Great! You pay a little more, but Its definitely worth the money especially with the Nice old fashion customer service. If you live close by or just driving through I highly recommend stopping by & checking out this small but awesome local buisness.

Very sad to learn that this gem of a place will be closing its doors for good at the end of 2021. Always a pleasant drive from Tucson down Nogales Highway & the ideal destination for pecan products of all kinds, including the best pecan pies I & everyone I know have ever tasted. Those who love a bit of heat may also want to stock up on the never-to-be-repeated Pecan Hot Sauce. This place will be truly missed!

If you love pecans then there is no place better to get them than fresh from the farm. I am not in the area often enough let alone during their summer hours of 10-3 M-F. They also do ship most of their items so be sure to pick up a catalog. They will not the pre made pies but you can order the ingredients in a jar. While I usually get the Chocolate Pecan pie, I had to get the plain this time because they sell out fast. They are that good. I also pick up a few other pecan items as well. If you want help with portion control then get the mini pies. Because they are individually sealed they will last longer too.

Fresh organic pecans! 😊💕👍🏼 The dark chocolate and pecan “turtles” are really good too. There are picnic tables and a restroom.

Drove all the way down there only to discover that they were closed due to preparation for there annual festival not sure why they couldn't still make a sale oh well next time! It wasn't a complete waste of time I was able to enjoy a really good lunch at the food truck they have out front I suggest if you're in the neighborhood you try it go see Checho for a fabulous red chili tostada and very inexpensive as well as delicious couldn't believe red chili meet tostada for a dollar fifty

Got to go do and see place in area! Reasonable priced pecans of any imaginable variety, quality too. Best tasting pecans I ever had. Bought a bunch to bring home for presents and they were big hit. Everyone agrees, best pecans ever. Glad they ship, but every time when in town, I am stopping by.

3+1/2 stars. We went for a concert. They blocked off quite a few seats to maintain social distancing. Not sure why. We all have our vaccinations. The seating is kind of like bleachers but with individual seats. There is no concession, not even a vending machine. I would go again.

Despite being a food truck, El Checo manages to offer fast service and great food at affordable prices.

My first visit to Anamax Dog Park was a great experience. The facilities were top-notch, providing both humans and dogs with water and an ample supply of dog bowls. The park is divided into two areas, one for small dogs and another for larger, more active ones. Additionally, the park offers free Wi-Fi and shaded seating areas for visitors to enjoy. The well-maintained grassy area is surrounded by a rock perimeter, adding to the overall appeal of the park.
great park they have a children's play ground up to date they are currently remodeling butnj..sure it's going to be even better the base ball fields are awesome the snack bar is very good they have team specials ,the hot dogs don't even fit in the bun and they have kids going around asking if you would like anything from the snack bar the lights for the baseball field are bright just a good atmosphere all around.
Robert S — Google review
They just "Re-seeded" the large dog side of the park only. 6 inches deep!! Very unsafe for dogs and owners trying to play ball or any fetching. Plus, as you can see in photos, the dogs prefer the outer ring off the pee gravel. Then, loose gravel all over sidewalk, making it a unsaplace to walk. Terrible idea!!!!
John D — Google review
As many have noted, the small dog side of the dog park has grass while the bigger dogs only get pea gravel. Fortunately, there were people with larger dogs on the grassy side and they were very willing to leave if anybody came with smaller dogs and did not want the larger dogs there. While I was there the people and the dogs all got along great no matter what size! To get closest to the dog park, stay on the main road and drive past the main recreation building on your right (east) until you see a sign for the north entrance. The street you turn off on is Cartegena. You will then see a sign on your right for the dog park, baseball fields and splash pads.

My first time at a dog park. To me, the facilities were excellent. Water for both humans and dogs, plenty of dog bowls. There are two areas, one for small dogs and one for large active dogs. There is free Wi-Fi here and a place to sit in the shade. The grass is well kept and there's a rock perimeter around the main grassy area. There's a short hose by the drinking fountain, which was nice because I could spray my dog down to cool her off. I was able to spend a little time here by myself. I wasn't sure how my yellow lab would do with other dogs. Several other people showed up and she did great with them. Everyone was nice and I had a great conversations.

First time here and this is a beautiful dog park! Looking forward to visiting here with our new puppy. Sahuarita is such a beautiful community. We are your neighbors in Green Valley.
John M — Google review
I had heard good things and since the usual haunt was closed we took the pups there to play. Unfortunately, it seems that they just decided to switch to gravel on the large dog side and my dogs were not fans. They just walked around the edge on the concrete for the most part. Definitely a bummer. We won't be going back. Grass is nice but difficult to keep up here. My dogs are perfectly happy with dirt or sand, though obviously the pea gravel is uncomfortable for them 😔.

Yum! Was new to Green Valley and needed to eat out one evening, went to this restaurant after reading a review on Nextdoor. It was maybe 25% full during a week night. The people we met were very nice. The waitress was courteous. The place although old was in decent shape. One thing I didn’t like were coverings on the booth seats. In a day when people are careful with transmitting viruses this is not the cleanest thing to use as there is no way to wash the seat or even wipe off food and drink spills. That’s actually pretty disgusting. The food was lip smacking great! I had the noodles and beef. It reminded me of my mom’s cooking. It was hot, the noodles were perfectly cooked, the beef and gravy tasted homemade rather than from a can. Although I took issue with possibly the cleanliness due to the seats, I will go back and see if they have tables or booths without the cloth coverings.

For this type of establishment I always like to try the Classic turkey club. One of the best I’ve ever had and toasted lightly like I requested. A huge club, I couldn’t finish it all. The pot roast special was also a hit. Great food, great service.

The absolute best Italian food I've ever had from a restaurant!! Amazing customer service!!! 5 Stars!
Antonio M — Google review
Good – The food was very tasty. In fact, it was excellent. The wait staff was very nice, albeit slow. Not so Good – Prices are top of the range for comparative restaurants, but when the small portions are considered – it lacks value. Bad – I’m not going to belabor this, as we have no intention of ever going back to this restaurant – even though it’s local. We had reservations, but when we arrived we were immediately informed by the hostess that there was going to be a fifteen minute wait. When we queried why – there was an immediate attitude with no reasonable explanation. As it turned out, the hostess was able to seat us a bit sooner – but not without a snide remark about the “short wait”. Two in our party ordered lemon drop martinis. When the bar staff brought them to the table – the limited pour was striking. When asked about the scant fill, the server said that was the most they were allowed to serve by law. Having never heard that before, we looked it up. That was a lie. There is no such limitation in Arizona. The décor is dated and the establishment overall is begging for capital improvement. As I said at the onset – the meal was good, but dining is a social experience, and in this regard – the experience was unacceptable

We visited for the first time yesterday. Overall it was a great experience! A local hidden gem with a romantic atmosphere and pretty good food overall. A little pricey but understandably so for the service and food. The food was pretty good for the area- we were especially impressed with the bread, tomato basil soup, the dessert, and the cappuccinos. The Alfredo sauce was also quite good. We were not a huge fan of the shrimp, but I suppose I shouldn’t expect much better when we’re in landlocked AZ. Will visit again!

My husband and I absolutely enjoyed our date here. Couldn’t get enough of the small breads they brought out as an appetizer along with balsamic vinegar. We ordered the rosé penne pasta to share, and then dessert - chocolate cake and cheesecake! Afterwards the waiter obliged our request for a picture of us by one of their artwork pieces.

Had no idea it was gonna be so amazing. Food was amazing and so was the service. Came for some regular late night dinner and were met with greatness. Cost less than olive garden for 30x the quality??? We got 2 huge entrees and dessert: wasnt even 100 (like how it is at olive garden) so we gave a big tip cuz they deserve it! Didn't bring ID so I couldn't get the limoncello to have after my meal like I've always wanted to do but I will be doing that here soon. Forgot to mention their olive oil was high! quality!!! Bread was great too. The cheesecake was great, but don't be expecting new york style. But man it was a delicious and perfect end to the meal with a chilled plate and delicious blueberries on top. They can expect to see us as regulars (for the little we go out) Truly a gem.

Quail Creek-Veterans Municipal Park, located just south of Sahuarita city center, offers a variety of amenities for both locals and visitors. The park features three ramadas available for reservation, multi-purpose fields, pickleball courts, a dog park, and a playground. Additionally, it boasts beautiful walking trails and secluded picnic areas for those seeking some private time in nature.
This is a probably the best park in the Sajuarita area. There is a permanent corn whole setup with a synthetic grass playing area, a great climbing and sliding play ground with many cool obstacles. There is also an all sand beach style volley ball court, a basketball court, pickle ball and tennis courts and a dual sided dog park. The dog park is split into two sides for large and small dog separation. The park is always in pristine condition and the play area is covered for all day play temperatures.

Went to find a nice spot for our dog to run. The dog park was busy on the big dog side, which we noticed, all the grass had been removed. The 30lb or less side had patchy grass that apparently had not been seeded this spring. I was told the chairs were being removed slowly. Sadly, this park was very nice, I was told until last year. Now it's a sad place where socializing is good but not a true dog park unless your dog likes even more rocks and sand.

Note: park is small and cute. Check your map to get there.

Great park, but there is a huge grass section but it's brown most of the year. There is a bit of shade in the pavilions, but I don't like how there isn't access to the pavilion near the playground in a car. You have to carry your stuff 100ft if you want to eat near the playground.

Bark Park, located in Rancho Sahuarita, offers a pleasant and clean environment for both dogs and their owners. The park features well-kept green grass, doggy exercise equipment, and friendly people. However, some visitors have expressed concerns about the lack of close parking. Despite this issue, the park is beautifully landscaped and maintained compared to other parks in Tucson. With its amenities and serene atmosphere, Bark Park provides an enjoyable space for families to spend quality time with their furry companions.
Sweet & quiet (early in the morning) “clean” compared to some other dog parks, but it would be even nicer if some individuals had a little more love and care for the park and actually picked up their furry ones waste they chose to leave behind. The smell grows throughout the day as it gets hotter, and it makes it unbearable to even sit on the bench to watch your dog play.

Fantastic place to talk a walk. Handicap accessible and very family friendly. The walking loop is just under a mile, but it's still great. Flat, even and well maintained concrete walkway. Lots of birds. The lake is regularly stocked and lots of people fish here. No streetlights so only come during daylight, very very dark after sundown. Overall it's a wonderful place in town to stretch the family's legs.

Loved the play ground. It's the best place for kids with the enclosed play area and covered too. Great job looking out for toddlers and giving them independence too. Need more parks like this with a fence and shade.
Davina H — Google review
I personally enjoy coming to Anamax Park. There's a variety of things to do to include skate board ramps, basketball hoops, room to throw Frisbees, play equipment, gazebos to picnic, and soccer and ball fields. I like watching little league games. You can ride a bike around the sidewalks and parking lots. Just enjoy coming, especially at night.

Our town has wonderful parks. Just too bad that only Rancho Sahuarita residents have a place to swim in the summer. The rest of us are out of luck. We have been here for 20+ yrs and the rest of us residents dont have things for our kids and grandkids to do in the summer. It's really not fair. We use to have the school pool in the summer but we dont have that anymore either.
Jamie H — Google review
My grandchildren and I love going to this park. They have so much for them to do. They have added new tables. The park is beautiful.

Golf club
The Quail Creek Country Club Pro Shop is a popular choice, especially for golf enthusiasts. The lush greens and luxurious facilities make it a beloved spot among locals. Visitors have praised the excellent service, good food, and fantastic venue for events like Christmas celebrations. While some mention ongoing renovations limiting course availability, others appreciate the beautiful vistas and challenging golf experience. Overall, it's known for its upscale amenities and enjoyable atmosphere in Green Valley.
Wonderful Golf Course. Great Vistas all around. Family enjoyed playing there. Looking forward to another GREAT outing.
Ron M — Google review
Played Quail/Coyote courses. For the time of year, courses should have been in prime condition. Greens and fairways appeared dormant and painted. Very slick in areas. Bunkers are in great shape, water features nice, and cart paths are good. There is no beverage cart service, and The Grill restaurant, the only option for beverages and food, was closed when we played due to plumbing issues. Cart worked well, and the pro shop offered quality merchandise. Happy we played the courses.
Kelly L — Google review
Played Coycote & Roadrunner course. Tees look good but are painted! Fairways are the same but dont look as good. Bunkers are great! Nicely washed and raked! Great job on those! Only down point is for the two weeks I played... I saw the "same three workers" NOT DOING ANYTHING!! (On three different days) I hope someone looks into that!!
Dasura G — Google review
We went there to celebrate Christmas with our church family. The food was good, the service was very good, and the venue was excellent. We had a band and danced after dinner. All in all, it was a very good experience.
Patrick G — Google review
Awesome staff! Three 9-hole gof courses in great shape. Private course (must be a homeowner in Quail Creek or the guest of one). Very busy in season 10/1 through 4/30. Public restaurant (The Grill at Quail Creek).
Ken C — Google review
Nice course. It's in good shape, not great, but they have started a course renovation project so only 2 of the 9 hole courses were open. There's also rumors that a 4th 9 hole course is being planned.
John N — Google review
It's a beautiful community. However, if you want to bring your grandkids over it's another story. The pool is only open two times a day for them and if they seem to have any fun they are breaking some rule. They are treated like a pest. They close the pool the whole month of December for maintenance. Which if your paying the HOA of 190/month it would be nice during the winter breaks to have your kids enjoy the pool. The golf course is very beautiful, but if you pay annually they close the WHOLE golf course down for a month to six weeks. Instead of just reseeding one course at a time they just shut everything down. Side walks are scattered through out the housing so sometimes you can walk on one and other times your walking on the road. Again nice facility, but not friendly to bring your family to visit.
Sarah C — Google review
Club and course didn’t seem ready for play. Nobody working the bag drop, no water available bottles or otherwise. Pro shop not open. Had to go to the grill to stand in line for a soda and beer but still no water available on a 90 degree day. Course not in good shape with very slow greens and over priced.

great little spot, he will fix your tires instead of telling you to buy new ones!

No one answers the phone, no one to greet me, this is at a residential house. Work the hours that are posted or leave a note if you're not going to adhere to business hours.
Philis B — Google review
Don't waste your time going here. Like the other poster said it's a residential home it's not a tire shop in the traditional sense.
Wouter T — Google review
So happy with the service we received. We had a slow leak in 1 tire. No visible nail or cut. Carlos removed the tire, did the water check thing, still nothing. Finally decided to take the tire off the rim to check the inside of the tire. Nothing there either. Carlos couldn't find a reason for the air loss, but he checked thoroughly, reinstalled the tire, $10 charge...and no issues now! Magic! He mentioned he only does tire work in the mornings, at 73 years old, his knees and hands don't work as well as they once did. Honest, hard working, and no pressure to buy new tires when there's still plenty of life left in your old tires.

It is designed to connect with Bark Park and The Greens, providing a space for families and their pets to enjoy. It's a great place for visitors of all ages to have an enjoyable time with family and friends.
Easily the most underrated area of Sahuarita, this little walk can be finished in an easy five minutes and provides little bits of information about the local fauna. Surprisingly quiet as well even when cars are passing by. There's almost guaranteed to be some lizards or quail hanging out in the shade provided as well. Highly recommended for any time of the year.

Beautifully kept. Small children’s playground but soccer field was enormous. Unfortunately was looking for a doggy park and does not have one there. Other Sahuarita parks: Anamax was a place my golden enjoyed with some well behaved dogs and owners very pleasant and responsible about watching their dogs. But now they replaced the grass with about 4 layers of gravel. It’s hot for the dogs, it’s difficult for them to run in and let’s not mention the owners are at risk for falling or twisting their ankles. What a disgrace. It seems they just dumped tons of gravel and never spread it out to make it at least level. The smaller dog area has grass but unless you’re invited by whoever is already in there you’re not able to let them play. Despite my golden being the sweetest dog ever. Veterans park: BAD BAD BAD! Aggressive dogs which should not be allowed with owners not watching their dogs or just making excuses that their behavior is “how they play”. My golden was attacked and luckily I was just two feet away to rescue her. A Rottweiler attacked a sweet greyhound and did not survive!!! If I were any concerned owner about your dog playing safely DO NOT GO! They should be safe and having fun and not harassed by other dogs!
Deborah F — Google review
It's a great park to take the kids and have a great time, has parking, football and soccer fields with green grass, open to anyone, has benches and grill where you can cook what you want while taking a look to the kids playing in the playground right next to the grill and benches, without a doubt is a great place, it also has controlled restrooms and easy to find them

Super cute park! Has dozens of animal statues around the trail. Perfect for photo opps. The play ground it’s self is covered, and had Ramada’s near to watch over children. Nothing spectacular. Largest complaint is that the bathroom is at the top of the trail and is not one anywhere else. So once you start the walk and your kid has to pee, might as well go home. Parking is also by the bathrooms so to get back to the card is a 10 to 15 min walk. Park is clean and well kept.
Zabrielle S — Google review
My family had a baby shower here. The atmosphere was perfect and the large grass area fit two different parties of bounce houses. Strongly recommend this park for the kiddos. The playground and the basketball court are really well taken Care of.
Kris R — Google review
Looks like a great little spot. Playground for the kids and a walking trail.
Carolyn K — Google review
Beautiful parks, no place to park if you're hosting a birthday party for a child. It was a 23 minute walk from the club house to the area where party was being held. My husband is handicapped, so I had to drop him off on the street closest to the picnic area, leaving my car parked with hazard lights while I made sure he was able to navigate the thick grass and found the correct party. Someone called the cops on us just as I got him seated. I was barely had a chance to get a drink of water before they showed up. Took my car to the pool area (only parking) and made the long trek back. Ridiculous lack of planning. Beautiful, expensive homes. I would never buy there for this reason.

He wandered in the valleys for many a year, hoping to find his oasis, his salvation. How far did he go, getting closer to his fateful and inevitable end with paced and tiresome steps. The toll on his subconscious was prolific in evility and completely encumbered by the thoughts of an unenamored physcopath. This dastardly boy, in his brain of simple destitute, was able to find peace at Parque Del Sol.

Nice little park for kids of all ages and a nice big grassy area to play around in as well. My son is now 4 years old and we've been to this park many times since he was a baby. I used to live right around the corner so I know it's a great neighborhood with good people all around.
Jake M — Google review
It feels safe, and it's centrally located so the kids can't run to the streets as easy. No bathrooms and I live in GV so that's a big downside. The gazebo has spider webs and some smokers don't seem to find their way to the garbage. I'm constantly running to remove butts that are about to make their way into my toddler's mouth.
