Always an enjoyable and relaxing spot. Nestled in the middle of a forest next to the creek for a nice soak in one of two natural hotsprings pools. In the summer the hot pool is cooled down to a nice 85° instead of 104 in the cooler seasons. Very scenic in all seasons. There are nice hiking trails to a remote lake or to the old hot springs, the source of the hot water in the thermal pools. A rough trail exists on the other side of the creek for hiking back to town. I used to hike that trail as a teen. There is a bit of camping and a few chalet cabins available. Though I have never stayed over. And there is even decent cell phone reception. Snacks and local goods are also available. The caribou nursery is right next to it as well. Always friendly and helpful staff too!
Dear Nakusp Hot Springs Team, ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ As proud locals and owners of Bear Ridge Cabins just down the road, we can’t sing the praises of Nakusp Hot Springs enough! This place is an absolute gem, and after 18 years in Nakusp, it still feels as magical as the first day we visited. The staff is always incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming, creating such a warm atmosphere. The change rooms are spotlessly clean, and everyone we encounter is so pleasant, making every visit a joy. We love sharing this tranquil, beautiful spot with our family and friends—it’s the perfect place to unwind and soak in the serenity. The scenic drive to get here is a treat in itself, and that stunning walking trail just steps from the hot springs is the cherry on top. We’re so grateful to call Nakusp home and to have the village run such an exceptional facility. We feel so lucky to have this slice of paradise right in our backyard. Thank you for keeping it so wonderful—we’ll be back again and again! With heartfelt thanks, The Bear Ridge Cabins Team
My original plan was to do the hike to the lake and take a dip and hit the road again but honestly fell in love with everything about this hidden gem. Friendly staff, clean and well managed amenities so I decided to come back the next day hiking from town (didn’t stay at their resort due to relatively higher fees for the tent sites lol). This trail was longer than the lake hike but absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended for people who are into hiking and want to relax after. Not recommended on weekend though as Sunday was really busy.
Lovely hot springs in the mountains, great views all around when you are in the hot springs. I did find myself wishing there was a cold pool to cool off between dips in the springs, especially as the day was warming up. Loved the walk to the historic source, which has recently been board-walked in several spots. Stunning mossy forest!
We have been going to nakusp for many years. Always in September to avoid the summer business. We had the best 5 nights, beautiful weather, awesome hikes and many May soaks. The staff is great. They try hard to make everyone happy. A shout out to Michelle, John , Lizabeth and any one else whose path I may have crossed. 🩷 We always leave well rested and planning our next trip there. ❤️ Highly recommend the farmers market and the Mediterranean restaurant down town. The local winery is also 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Spent a couple nights in the RV camp area...I was in site 21 which worked really well for me as it's located away from most of the other sites and my 16' Airstream Bambi tucked into the spot quite nicely. Arrived on Day 1 about 2pm, dropped off my trailer and headed to Halfway Hot Springs which was an awesome adventure to a public remote riverside hot spring. Came back to Nakusp Hot Springs in time for dinner and then got the evening pass which was also good for all day soaking the next day. Everything was fantastic...the icing on the cake was the hiking trail adjacent to the parking lot. The trail has recently been improved with some fantastic wooden walkways. I made it to the old hot springs area...just a beautiful hike.
Beautiful spot deep in the mountains ⛰️ 😍 Quiet peaceful tranquil!!!!! We had the smaller room in the back of the cabins was well stocked for what it is. I would suggest a shower hose type so one could rinse off after the day. The tube was well let's say tiny. The price was far far better than any of the local ( BC ) hot springs and was sufficient for us We enjoyed our stay very much.
My husband and I spent an amazing two days at the resort. We stayed in one of the small chalets it was clean and well maintained. Staff were wonderful taking as much time as we needed to ask question about the resort. A lovely piece of Kootenay history.

We had an amazing stay at Halcyon Hot Springs Resort! The views overlooking the lake and mountains are absolutely stunning, and the hot springs themselves were clean, well-maintained, and so relaxing, exactly what we needed for a peaceful getaway. The staff were welcoming and friendly throughout our visit, and the whole resort had a calm, laid-back vibe. We also really appreciated that they let us charge our EV during our stay, such a thoughtful touch that made things even more convenient. Whether you’re looking to unwind in the pools, take in the beautiful scenery, or just enjoy some quiet time, Halcyon is a perfect spot. Highly recommend and would definitely come back!
We visited here a few years ago everything was near perfect! Now it’s lost its way, no breakfast, exactly one knife and one fork each, no spoons, no dishes, the web site does not mention you need to bring your own supplies. No information in the rooms and staff are no longer friendly just doing the minimum possible and not happy. The location is wonderful, the pools are wonderful, but who ever is reasonable for customer service needs attention to details for a tourist resort.
Overall, our water experience was quite amazing. It was so nice to be in not chlorinated water. We only stayed for 2 hours on an impulsive hot spring adventure. Lower pool must be salt water. Very relaxing. No noisy kids No staff interactions Change rooms very clean today Also, there was a place to fill water bottles, much appreciated Nice
Cabin #1 is a nice little cabin. Very close to the lodge. It was very clean and well maintained. Had some issues with the heat in the bathroom. It would have been nice to have a microwave in the room. Other than that it was great.
My girlfriend and I recently stayed 2 nights in one of the Queen Cabins. The cabin was cozy and clean. The hot spring pools were relaxing and a nice way to end each night. The staff were friendly and it appears as though they take great care of the property! I would recommend staying here!
We did a lovely day trip to the Halcyon Hot Springs Resort from Kelowna. It was my first time at any sort of hot spring and it definitely met my expectations. The entrance fee was fair at $18 and I don’t believe there was any sort of time limit. We were there for around 3 hours which felt like plenty of time to enjoy both of the spring fed hot pools and the cold plunge pool. There are lots of loungers to lay on as another option for cooling down or basking in the sun (on warmer days). The facility looked well maintained and also included a gift shop where you can purchase general supplies or even a towel/bathing suit if it’s been forgotten. Keep in mind that there a pay lockers on site for $1. However, we found that the lockers were unnecessary because we could easily place our belongings in sight while outside at the hot spring pools. Overall a great experience and I plan to come back again.
Just went to the springs. Restaurant was closed, no rooms available, restaurant was closed. Good gift shop. Had all the travel sized bits you might have forgotten including swimsuits. Great pools, wonderful view, easy to get to. Shortly after getting off the Nakusp ferry, long drive from Halcyon to Nakusp.
I drove 5 hours to celebrate my boyfriends birthday here, we had an issue with my credit card which would be sorted after the long weekend. The staff made it incredible difficult to try to work around booking without the credit card, we tried paying cash and debit and changed our minds. The customer service was TERRIBLE. I was told my money would be refunded to my card, and it never was. I have tried contacting Halcyon several times about it and each time the girls at reception have been dissmisive arguementive and refuse to give my money back or to have someone else contact me regarding the refund. DO NOT STAY HERE. 0/10 for customer service.

Excellent walk, paved trail, lit at night. Perfect place to walk a dog or take a stroll. Excellent views of the lake and mountains. Very casual smooth walk that avoids hills and has steps up along the way to easily get into town or down to the water. Plenty of benches to rest on.
What a great surprise to find this beautiful promenade. The landscaping and flower gardens are jaw dropping. This community is so lucky to have this.
Amazing walk on the water front. the view of the lake and mountains is incredible. Green and coloured trees and plants around are beautiful. So calm and relaxing for a quick walk during my lunch break while working in Nakusp. A must visit spot in the little town.
We love this walk I takes you along the waterfront in Nakusp. It starts near the beach and ends at the dock. Along the way you will find several gardens with fantastic views. The selection of flowers is amazing and well kept. There are several benches and chairs to enjoy the view of the lake and mountains.
Possibly the most beautiful waterfront walk ever. Every season holds it's own specials, bright blooms in summer, autumn tones in the fall. Can't be beat!
Amazing how beautiful it looks. It could be a special wedding altar. Love this place. ✨
Even in the winter this place have some breathless views!, so quiet, great wether, people walking by with their dogs, this place is so beautiful and so easy to walk it!, if you are in this area you have to visit and is just a 10-15 min walk
Very nice walking trail along the waterfront. Recommend taking the stroll.

Staying at plenty of campground across Canada this one was the most memorable, and beautiful for me. Surrounded by mountains. And on clear lake. Everything was reasonable. The staff were so welcoming and informative. The pit-toilet actually had deodorizer or a smelly thing in there, I never knew out houses could smell good! You could leave stuff at the beach without any worries!
Magical! Felt almost tropical...Well maintained, very conscientious fellow campers lots of families with kids (& kids making new best friends), amazing views of the lake (try to reserve the lakeside spots you get to wake up to green and blue bands of lake color and light sand!) We were in a double spot with friends, which was perfect for us. Nice and clean, renovated (with nice-smelling cedar!) front campground reception office, clean and new outhouses, drinking water and dishwater dump stations conveniently located near most campsites, paved paths excellent for kids on bikes and rollerblades. The beach is huge!!! very soft sand beach that takes your breath away. It's almost a tropical feel. Silty, squishy sand getting in and out of the ly a soul on it and views to take yourlake. Top inch or 2 is warm water but the rest is quite cool; still, it's refreshing! See you there next time!!!! Edit: forgot to add one small negative. You do hear the occasional car passing by on hwy6 (which wasn't busy when we were there mid-August), as the campground is not far from the road. (So aim for booking a spot far from the road). If you don't like hearing cars when camping, Blanket Creek Prov campground farther north nearer to Revelstoke is far from the road and also truly amazing (although aim for a May visit there, when the river is beautiful and wide (& before the mosquitos are too bad. )
Had a great time here amidst sunshine and rain. Campsite was flat. Picnic table looked new. Hot showers, but beware of sensor light turning off every 4 minutes. Located close to Nakusp where grocery store is open 8am to 8pm.
A very nice campground! Right on the edge of the lake, lots of area to go for little hikes. The sites are kind of close to each other, so if you're looking for a lot of privacy you may not find what you're looking for. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they understand what people need when they're camping. Firewood ($10 per bundle) Pick a site that's not reserved and set up, they will come around and you can pay then. $30/ night + $12/ night for extra vehicle. The lake water was very low at the beginning of September, so if you're planning on bringing paddleboards etc be prepared for a bit of a walk down to the water.
Just beautiful, views are breathtaking, quiet and peaceful place, lots of available RV spots and services. clean facilities. easy access and exits. fire pits are clean and well taken care of. only 10 minutes drive from downtown.
What a great place. Very quiet. Powered sites are a bit small and tight together. We got site 18 which is powered off by itself very close to the water and beach. Beach is nice and sandy. Water is awesome clear and cool. Free showers and $5 sani dump. I highly recommend
Well kept and maintained provincial park. Well shaded camping spots (without power), spots with power don't have as much shade. Hot showers, upgraded pit toilets, long sandy beach with lots of spots to access, recommend bringing a beach umbrella. You can paddle across the lake to another beach too. The playground is new. If you have bikes bring them as spots can be far from showers, also handy to get to playground. Well situated for trips to the hot springs and Nakusp. Volunteer host Wayne was super friendly and helpful as were the park staff. Firewood and ice available to purchase.
A beautiful gem! Campsites are all well kept. Thete are free showers by the entrance with a dishwashing station, too. Its Pit toilets, but the staff clean on a regular basis. The beach is fabulous, you can walk forever. It's great for paddle boarding, fishing, or just sitting on the beach. Campsites are medium sized, good space between your neighbours. Portable drinking water, and a sani station. Generators are allowed 9-11am & 6-8pm. There is firewood and ice available from the park operators, who are friendly and helpful. Nakusp is only a 10 miniute drive to town where there is a beautiful little town with a fantastic waterfront walk and park. Lots of restaurants, pubs, coffee shops, liquor stores, and a save on-foods. Highly recommend this beautiful Zen campsite. It will be a regular visit for us. We went in September, the best time to go...quiet and relaxing 😌

Randomly walked into Jennifer chocolates while passing through Nakusp, I bought a few different chocolates and I was super happy I found this place! If you're in Nakusp, I definitely recommend! Love the salted caramels, I'll be back!
The best chocolates I've ever had. That's it. There's no competition. I'd pay Anything she asked to have her chocolates. You just can't beat a handmade chocolate like hers.
Finally made it back here while in town for work. Happy to see they’re still here and still cranking out the Delicious, Yummy treats. They create a Wonderful selection of delectable goodies including lots of dairy free options. Tried the peanut butter cups this time and they were amazing!! See you next time (hopefully sooner rather than later).
Cute little shop, friendly girl working there. Not a huge selection but had alot of good ones! I loved the milk chocolate caramels and the caramel itself. Little pricey but as are most chocolate shops I guess...
A must go to in Nakusp! Amazing chocolate treats and they also have a great hot coco mix. Will be stopping by every time we are through Nakusp.
Absolutely delicious chocolate!! Enjoyed a selection of their pralines, toffees and a chocolate covered oreo cookie. Everything was so good! I highly recommend you stop by of you love chocolate too.
What a treat! The chocolates were some of the best we’ve ever had. I personally loved the lemon one. Try their ice cream! So good! Ladies behind the counter were wonderful and know their chocolate. Grandma loved the fireball chocolate😉
An adorable little shop run by very welcoming friendly ladies full of TO DIE FOR chocolates and caramels, etc! A must stop for all going through Nakusp. We thoroughly enjoyed our treats today, and I cant wait to taste the other things we purchased and to give some as a gift to our cat sitter! You guys are doing it right….amazing job ladies!!!

We had great four days here! First we’ve visited the tourist information and Tracy gave us a good clue what to do and where to go. Directly after our visit we had a break down of our spark distributor so we ended up spending new year and three more days on their parking lot with our RV, waiting for new parts to arrive. We didn’t had any issues at all and were very welcome by all of the staff in the visitor center and the library. Glad to meet that friendly people around here! Thanks again for everything!
Review is about local residents not chamber. Multiple interactions with off leash dogs aggressively approaching our leashed dog. Owners didn't care and did nothing every time. One even said "why don't you go back to where you came from". Tourists should definitely drive on through without stopping to spend their money if that's how locals feel!
Tracy has been wonderful! Full of local knowledge, has all of the hikes she recommended and so very friendly
Great location, easily marked, helpful staff, clean facility. Lots of information.
We arrived in Nakusp with a booking at a campsite that was after all closed. We go to the Information centre and we get the perfect assistance. Arranged for us a new campground, give some information about local things (traffic and ferry's). Many thanks for the perfect Assistance!
Tracy was awesome! Super helpful
Thank you Tracey! I left with so many great things to see and do in the area, glad I dropped in!

Bathrooms closed in Nov. Water was really low. Felt like 1km to reach the water. Was hoping for more snow coming through this time of the year.
Nice beach. Great sand and not very busy which is great because there are many great spots to choose from
Beautiful Nakusp. Good, clean and very large beach. Nice lakefront walk with gorgeous gardens, picnic site and playground across from beach. Amazing!
The beach itself is beautiful, lands done nicely. The water is dropping so fast the dock and booms are basically out of the water. Something needs to be done to fix the Columbia Basin Treaty to allow water to help locals and non locals to fully enjoy all the Arrow Lakes has to offer.
Lovely, well maintained park with gravely beach and clean toilet. Train display has better maintenance than Revelstoke's museum. A good place for a stop.
Breathtaking views for this time of year (October) and so quite and peaceful commpared to what it must be in the warmer season. Such a clean beach as well.
Stunning small town nestled in the Kootenay area of B.C. lots of really cool locally owned shops/restaurants, walking path on the public beach, and surrounded by beautiful mountains.
A beautiful little beach with stunning views of the surrounding mountains! Get there early enough on a not-too-hot day, and you can have the whole beach to yourself!

A great resort camping experience. Campground feels open, yet has trees throughout. I stayed in the overflow camping area with a few friends. We had the whole area to ourselves. No one else was close by! No hookups in the overflow, but we got free range of the large grassy field. Firepits and picnic tables were provided in the overflow. Even though we were the furthest away from the bathroom, we were allowed by the park owners to ride our ATVs through the campground to get to the washrooms! There is ATV access to the trails across the highway from the back corner of the overflow campsites as well which was convenient for us riders. The campground features a small sandy beach area, great for swimming. There's a boat launch, just watch out for the tadpoles, toadlets and toads! Washrooms were clean, with paid showers: $1 loonie for 6 mins. Hand sanitizer was provided. I've provided some photos with more information on site pricing etc! Overall would recommend for someone looking for great access to ATV trails, and a resort experience.
We have been coming for roughly the past 12 years. It is a fantastic family oriented camp ground Irene is a true gem. She is wonderful and always remembers us and my family loo
I stayed at one of their four unserviced (no water/power) tent sites right on the lake shore. Many other full serviced sites for r.v's or tenters who need hookups. Payment is cash only. Resort is clean with flush toilets and heated pay showers. Firewood for $10 a load and ice for sale at park entrance. Seemed to be lots of fish in the lake. Partially treed sites allow for lots of light and heat when the skies are clear. Camp hosts were friendly. Trail around the lake was partly flooded with river at the time of my stay.
It was enjoyable. Went for a weekend with family. PRO:was that we could set up a tent on a very large space with the motor home we were with. CON: It cost $25 extra on top of the $35 for motor home. PRO: we had a beautiful spot by the water and access to the wonderful lake. CON: not well planned we were beside multiple families with kids and dogs so there was no rest. This should be a consideration when booking Also paid $10 for a bundle of fire wood that ended up being cotton/poplar wood It did not even burn. We left for next camper but watched the attendant toss it back in the sale pile.double dipping shame. Not overly impressed
Beautiful setting. Clean bathrooms. Bring cash. Recommended.
The worse camping had ever in my life. Weed wacking early in the morning, cutting the lawn around you on Father's Day with children around. No safety concerns what so ever. The maintenance guy drove 2 feet from us with the lawn mower. Do not recommend it all. Unfortunately was our only option.
Very nice place. The lake is just beautiful and there are canoes available for rent. Everything is cash only. The bathrooms are clean and have pay showers. The RV sites are pretty small with almost no privacy, though.
Our camp host, Irene, was very accommodating. Fishing is good. Nice clean campground, reasonably priced. Our fourth season staying here. Top notch!

We love this cute little store. We go to it every year we’re in Nakusp. Beautiful art work. Lovely jewelry. Reasonable prices. Adorable little shop.
The Artist is extremely talented and has a wide range of gift ideas. Many mediums such as abstract and realist works, as well as sculptures.
Wow the store owner (the husband not the wife) here was so rude...and didnt even say hi when we walked in or ask if we need help. When I asked if he had a box for the artisan coffee mug he said no and when I asked he if had tissue then to wrap it so I dont break it while traveling he was so annoyed and rolled his eyes and threw me tissue paper to wrap it. Then at the end of the transaction God forbid I asked for a bag too. I said can I please get a bag and he stared at me for like 2mins and said rudely what? I said can I get a bag and he actually laughed in my face and said oh BAG? You said beg....like he couldnt understand what I was asking, then said where are you from, what kind of accent is that??? and was making fun of me. You're in a tiny town basically in the middle of nowhere, so be happy you even have customers keeping your business alive and learn some customer service skills and manners.
Stay away from this place. The owner is a jerk. I am a shopper. I would have purchased something, likely some things! I had about 5 items to try and when I asked about the fitting room he basically said only try on if you intend to buy. As if he thought I wouldn't, that I was somehow wasting his time. I have no idea why an owner would actively discourage a potential sale. He was rude and I left feeling insulted. Worst shopping experience I've had. I would never go into this shop again.
I thought the exact opposite of the owner. He seemed very friendly and personable. Items are a little pricy in my opinion but for the quality and uniqueness of them I'm probably wrong. Also I love that the store offers art from local artists. I purchased a sticker as a souvenir created by Autumn Skye. There is also work by Debra Rushfeldt and one other person I believe. Wish I could remember their name.
Great selection of 3rd works gifts. I saw Guatemala, Mexico and maybe India.
Lots of great products but owner is not hospitable and doesn’t want to answer the simplest questions. Very rude, needs new ownership.
Cool store but owner seemed quite prickly and offsetting. Needs new management/ownership.

Lovely owners 🤍✨you get the good vibe as soon as you step in. Ask if you have any questions and enjoy getting the information from the professional friendly owner. Such a magical place!
This shop is simply the best I've ever went to for crystals, and the prices are very good! If you are looking for quality sterling rings for affordable prices, she's got so many gorgeous options, it's very difficult to choose. There are so many other goodies besides stones, crystals, rings, pendants, candles, and greeting cards. I spend at least an hour each time I visit, the owners are very helpful and wonderful to talk to.
Beautiful store with some of the most gorgeous journals I’ve ever seen. Perfect place to shop for gifts.
Spiritwood gift shop is an amazing place! I can’t even describe how many different and wonderfully unique gifts ranging in all different prices there are. So many local artisans represented within the store as well as other artisans from throughout BC and beyond. Lots of handmade treasures to be found . My friend and I spent over an hour and a half in the store with Courtney who is incredibly helpful. Thanks so much Courtney! We bought gifts for Christmas, birthday’s and baptisms. They have wonderful cards that are absolutely hilarious that I haven’t seen anywhere else. If I lived closer I would go shopping for all my cards at Spiritwood. I bought a hand carved box that I really liked and then I decided that I want another one so I phoned them. They were able to get me another box and they mailed it to my home and I got it within two days. It was spectacular! Now both of my grandsons will have the same handmaid wooden treasure box with an amazing engraved tree on the top. The store is located one block off the main street in a lovely heritage house. The owners- Lynda and Glenn are incredibly personable, professional and eager to do whatever they can to get you what you want. Check out Spiritwood - You will be glad you did.
Beautiful store. Owner had a wonderful energy and was super patient with clients! Prices were great!
Great little shop tucked away off the Main St in Nakusp. Owners are very friendly, informative and willing to offer assistance with questions. The shop has a large collection of crystals (including earrings, pendants and bracelets), local artist music CDs, Books, Tarot Cards, Incense, Greeting Cards and Decor items. This was my first visit and I easily spent an hour just looking at everything! I purchased a lovely pair of Silver Garnet earrings and a music CD from a Nakusp Artist. I also used a Demo deck of Tarot and perused their book collection. I was very tempted to add another volume to my personal collection of Crystal books! Highly recommended for anyone interested in their products. They also have a children's book section for Families. I can hardly wait to go back. ☺️
Best place in the world to go i spend every summer in nakusp. I specifically wait for this store such friendly owners!!! Overall you'll always find something beautiful to go home with and for a great price!
Great little store off the main drag-funky joint, with staff who clearly like what they do and the area they live in!
