You need to cross over some railroad tracks to access the bridge. May or may not be illegal but it's a great hike.
wonderful and easy walk, but only if you know the way. Signage was awful, it points you down a steep path that is not for beginners. Take the old road, cross the railroad tracks with caution and the views will delight! The bridge has a metal grate floor, so pets with small feet may need to be carried and large pets may be reluctant to cross.
Really happy my brother and his partner took us here. There is lots of parking and then carefully make your way along the path to the bridge. The views from the bridge are spectacular.
Alexander Bridge entrance is near the highway at mere 3 minutes trail walk. View is good, similar to hells gate (minus any active tourist establishment).
Don't think I saw all the park but stopped at the couple small parking lots with outhouses and walked the 10min to the old Alexandra Bridge. The walk from the outhouses to the main walkway is over forest floor, be careful. After that It's a wide road easy to walk but an incline one has to consider coming back up. Also, the train tracks have a gate that seems to close off the road but foot passengers can apparently just go around the gate. UNCONTROLLED train crossing! The old bridge is fun but the floor is steel grates only - not for dogs or ones afraid of heights!
Nice little walk. Enjoyable to walk across a piece of history. Nothing fancy here but I'm glad we stopped to have a look.
the place is a little hard to find i mean there are no signs u just have to go along the railway tracks its a great spot to click photos and videos i mean the lighting is amazing and its not crowded its a really quite place so u can enjoy sitting in silence here just enjoy the view and sound of water running and seeing i from the bridge makes it even more fun
What a wonderful old bridge. Everyone we ran into was struggling to find it. If we'd realized it was OK to squeeze around the huge "DO NOT go around this sign to cross the train tracks" at the end of the road, it would have been easy! But once we crossed the train track, it was very nearby and worth the search The old bridge itself and the river below are beautiful.
