Amazing distillery, super friendly, weve visited a few distilleries and this one is definitely up there. Super knowledgeable, had awesome serving suggestions. Thank you for the great conversation. xx
Great stop off to try some locally made liqueurs. Free small tastings of the four liqueurs they sell, which are all different flavours. Having the tastings equates to around 1.2 standard drinks so ok to drive afterwards. A very lovely lady served us and had a nice chat about the process and what goes into the liqueurs. Bought a bottle of Strawberry Splash and am currently drinking it mixed in a glass of prosecco. Was told it would also go well on ice cream, which I will most definitely have to try.
Wow! Such unique liquers! The lady (didn't get her name) was so lovely and friendly, she explained everything about the drinks really well... She is instantly likeable and is great at what she does. We loved the tastings and now differently the drinks tasted after adding mineral water, so fascinating! Buddy the dog came out for a pat too. We bought two bottles and will possibly buy more online again later. The flavour combinations of the drinks are genius and so unique. Definitely worth visiting.
Visited this lovely small boutique distillery yesterday. They specialise in liquers using local fresh fruits. Michelle was very friendly. Free tasting & yes we purchased two bottles. Support the local business's.
Really enjoyed visiting the distillery. Tiny place with a plant nursery attached. The guy who runs it is passionate about what he does. Explained each drink as we tasted them and was happy to chat with us about the process he goes through to make them. Lovely drinks. We bought a couple of bottles - wish we bought more as they are easy drinking with a mixer, already gone!
Friendly staff/owner and a nice place to try some of the distilled liquors for free! Purchased a few bottles as gifts, and a great place to drop in for 15-20 minutes!
Just stopped in and left with 3 of the four flavours. Hand made with love, passion and patience. Interesting story behind the flavours, and beautiful product. Thanks for a very educational lesson on mixing alcohol with fresh fruit. All natural. Thank you.
Our group of 10 dropped in at 2pm on a Saturday and had a lovely, informative and delicious tasting session. John’s liqueurs are so nice and his natural fruit approach to create flavours and colours is great. We bought a few bottles and will enjoy them by the pool or while watching a sunset, thinking of the nice time we had at 1770 Distillery 😊

Lovely board walk with stepping stone type feature. Picnic area at the start of the walk which the trail loops back too. The walk makes for lovely photos. Not a trail walk for wheelchair bound No toilet facilities available however the trail is not far from the town. Worth dropping in for a look. Please like the review if you've read it, it helps business's grow.
A great eco developed walk through this magnificent melaluca and palm forest. All up on boardwalk or stepping stones as to not disturb any further the fragile system which is wetland undisturbed dominated by 10 meters plus grand old paper barks. Thoroughly enjoyed this small 45 minute walk
400m of a flat walk along boardwalks, sandy trails, and fun round cement steps. The paperbark trees are mature and confident in their place. Lots of ferns cover the forest floor and hug the base of trees. The light shifts constantly here with the wind allowing rays of sun to cast through to the lower forest below, an ever changing natural lightshow. Highly enjoyable easy walk.
So enjoyed this little gem! Was a great little family experience. It has a variety of walking ground to not disturb natural growth. Like partial two slate wide board walks and stepping stones through at times water. So it would be wise to be with young ones that are confident walkers the same with elderly. My only negative is, I wish it was longer, I was enjoying it so much! The town itself has many things to offer like cafes and other many natural beauties. A must visit!
Absolutely wonderful place to visit! Grade 3 walking track. 10 minute loop including time to stop and soak up your surroundings while grabbing a few photos.
Wow, randomly stumbled across this little gem. Just a very short walk around the loup and track. My partner helped a lady across as she was a bit unstable on her feet. It's an incredible little hidden beauty. Highly recommend. Follow us @aus_roadtrippin for other reviews and places we've been
Good short little walk, very nice Paperbark and Maidenhair fern forest. The stepping stones and boardwalk are great to keep your feet dry and to lessen the impact to the delicate environment. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful walk, albeit very short. It took about 10 minutes. You can even do the loop twice. I loved the paperbark trees and the informative signs about the plants.

Kevin booked my Whitsunday’s tour with Ocean Rafting and he was fabulous! Super friendly and made time to explain the different tours and what they offer before recommending a one to fit my budget/plans. So knowledgeable about all of the different activities each tour can offer because he’d done most of the tours himself and so was based on his own experiences. Would 10/10 recommend booking any tours with Kevin, he‘ll give you honest advice and takes all the stress out of booking yourself!
What a beautiful store with amazing staff. I found lots of really well priced souvenirs and gifts while the hubby fueled up. It finished our time at Seventeen Seventy perfectly. Highly recommend a visit.
Booked a Whitsunday trip 🌞 at this Awesome TravelBugs and I have to say: What an AMAZING bunch of dedicated and passionate people are working over here at this lovely place at Agnes Water & the Town Of 1770! 😄🔥 From the moment I walked in, I didn't feel any pressure at all.(Which is normally the case at those travel companies, sell sell sell 🤨) Kevin (What a Legend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!) took his time for me and recommended so many cool trips. In the end his lovely colleague Mish shared her knowledge and experience aswell with me and they both figured out that the 'Summertime' boat would be the perfect fit for me and WOW what an EXPERIENCE it has been!! 🤙 (Even booked a skydive aswell lol, absolutely gold!⚡️ ) A big thanks to Kevin, Mish and the whole crew, would highly recommend people to walk in, have a lovely chat and get informed by the most honest people whom would like to share their knowledge and give you an amazing experience! Thanks guys, you are rocking!! 🔥🔥🔥
We are a little late (been there 6 month ago), but during our holiday trip in Australia we are still so unbelievable grateful for realizing our trip to the Great Barrier Reef. Our planned trip, run by a different company, was cancelled because of stormy weather. But the operator from Discover 1770 & Agnes Water saved our trip and did what seemed nearly impossible by finding an alternative organisation to make a dream come true. She made incredible effort by searching on the internet, making calls and checking the weather forecast. Thank you guys so much!
Nice little town on the coast, some great restaurants! And an excellent fish and chip place in town There are also some interesting little boutiques as well for souvenirs, clothing, crafts, and jewelry The catamaran trip to Lady Musgrave Island is worth it , and also the Lark excursion is a lot of fun. I highly recommend a visit!
My daughter & I had the best day! The weather was so perfect. I didn't know what to expect but the Larc was better than I imagined. I was quite nervous going up the pathway to the lighthouse, the Skipper was very competent in driving us up safely. The history of the Lighthouse was very informative I really liked the house and all the interesting information & how well it is maintained. Morning tea and lunch was very yummy the ANZAC biscuits & Billy tea were really great!. I was happy that I attemped sandboarding only did the small hill it was such fun. I would have really liked to have gone for a swim but the tide was out. The commentary of the birds, trees & creeks by the host was quite informative & somewhat humorous I will definitely recommend the Larc to my family & friends. Thank you for the memories I will share with my daughter
We had the best holiday in 1770 thanks to Lisa and her fantastic recommendations. She was honest and upfront and really easy to chat to. Lisa booked us on to the Lady Elliot Island day trip that included an unbelievable plane ride across to the island over Lady Musgrave and incredible snorkelling on the reef. Just amazing.
Hi rely on Kevin and Liza for my scooter hire business as well, very easy to deal with. Correct and straight. Highly recommend for all your info and booking of tours in Agnes Water.

Get up close and personal with kangaroos! We booked in at Horizon’s last minute and are so glad we did. We called the number on Google, and they said come by whenever and ring once at the gate. Garry greeted us and showed us a couple of options to park our car. The amenities were awesome: clean toilets and hot showers. We didn’t use the kitchen much, but it looked good. At a quarter past 7 in the morning Garry feeds the roos. For about an hour, he prepares food for the animals and shares stories and educates you about the local wildlife. The kangaroos are friendly and you can pet a few if you'd like. We even saw a couple peacocks and wallabies on the property. One of the better sites we’ve had on our road trip!
Outstanding!! The place is super lovely, clean bathrooms and nice hot showers. The kitchen is amazing and the outdoor area is really cozy, decorated with nice works of art and a hammock. Garry told us a lot about the history of Australia and the Kangaroos. He really loves the animals a lot and takes care of them. We were able to feed the kangaroos and even pet them. It was a great experience and I can only recommend it. :)
We didn‘t stay at the campground but came for the feeding. The owner is lovely and can tell you a lot about the kangaroos🦘 with 10$ pp you support him to keep the feeding going on. The kangaroos roam around completely free here and the campground also seemed very lovely with an amazing garden! We got to see the kangaroos in the garden before the feeding. Highly recommend coming here❤️
Outstanding!! Such a lovely and peaceful place. Super clean bathrooms and hot showers. The kitchen is well-equipped and the outdoor area is cozy, with beautiful art. Garry is amazing – so passionate about the kangaroos and full of knowledge about Australia’s history. We got to feed and pet the kangaroos, which was a truly special experience. Highly recommend this unique and heartwarming stay!
Amazing experience. Garry and his wife devote their lives to the care of orphaned and injured kangaroos which is incredibly inspiring. As they grow up/get better, the kangaroos come and go as they please knowing they always have a home at the sanctuary. Because of this interaction, they are not afraid of humans although of course they remain wild animals and are in no way trained for human entertainment, harmed or imprisoned for such purposes. All camp ground fees go to the care of the kangaroos and extra donations are very appreciated. Garry is very knowledgeable about kangaroos and although he has a harsh view on humanity, he's correct on many points. The facilities are excellent and all kitchenware is provided. It's also situated remotely so beautiful views onto both the mountains and the ocean + you can see the stars very well. We highly recommend paying them a visit, best to call before to book a spot!
What a lovely person and roos! I’m a backpacker who just started road trip from bundaberg to cairns. I found this place from campermate app and decided to sleep over here. I have never seen kangaroos this much close! They were so adorable and nice… Since I came to Australia I have been realizing that I was born on Earth and it’s blessing. Garry who is caring this wonderful place is so lovely person. Definitely he has the wisdom. I know someone can complain about his point but the pessimistic people always do great job for this planet. Don’t miss the opportunity to meet him and roos! Gardening is also awesome!! You can see wild peacocks in the morning 🤞
Such a lovely place, highly recommend for a visit Me and my mom found Garrys place asking on chat gpt where we could see some kangaroo in Agnes water and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience. The place is huge, full of kangaroos and peacocks and the sunset was so beautiful
The place looks great and you get really close to the kangaroos. However, the owner loves to spread his doomsday scenarios while feeding the kangaroos and some "facts" he's telling are straight up bs or misleading. He doesn't really answer questions about the topics but rather keeps ringing the same bells. I respect the work he puts in for the roos though. If you wanna spend $40 for a night and see some kangaroos, do it.

Great 4WD track out to Middle Creek campground. A bit of dirt, sand, water crossings, and rainforest with beautiful beachside at the end. Didn’t camp there but would like to one day!
Eurimbulah creek campground: 4 stars because…. If it’s been raining leading up to your stay the mozzies will eat you alive… be sure to take mosquito spray as well as coils and anything else you have to deter them and also the midgies. The track in isn’t difficult at all and my all wheel drive VW Tiguan makes it in with ease. Pro tip, on the run out tide dolphins feed in the outlet of the creek at late arvo early evening
Greetings Friends, Great location with adventures 4x4 tracks, not the easiest when the rain is on amazing wildlife and great beaches. We had a great one day adventure there Follow me on Instagram uwe_foto Thank you
Took a nice drive through the NP during our stay in the area, Very pretty bush lands and well maintained track.
Awesome views. Camping spots and beach was amazing. Loved playing and swimming with the grandchildren all day in a safe sheltered area. And, definitely going again.
4x4'ing's Great!! Especially around Middle Creek+Tanti rd areas. Good offroad adventure, could be Challenging, depending on weather, skill + 4b setup....Gates are closed when creeks, roads Impassable.
Great 4wd track which lead to beautiful beach and great camping grounds.

A nice clean surf beach ⛱️ I love the bench seat! Thank you, I can sit and watch for whales. It's well patrolled.
Beach is beautiful, but the area around Agnes has been built up with residential housing & so it's hard to access the beach unless you go to the caravan park where there is limited parking.
The last surf beach before the reef..and what a magnificent pristine stretch of coastline. Dazzling clear azure water. Walk for miles on the soft sand. Sections are dog friendly too (just pick up after both your dog and yourself).
Such a beautiful beach. Not too crowded in the winter. Just the way I like it.
This is definitely a beach for the longboards with a right hand point break that is great for beginners and intermediate surfers. The signs say that stingers may be around from Nov to April but the lifeguards and locals said not to worry about them. It would be a good idea to take some vinegar with you just in case. There are a few parks in the main Carpark but you may need to park a bit further away on a busy day. We visited on a day when the creek broke through one of the sand dunes and sent a wall of water gushing into the ocean. Quite a fascinating thing to see.
Beautiful! Great views, flagged area. If you're not staying right on the beach and need to drive there, you may need to get in early to park as the parking is not great
Great beach. National parks walks good food take away dine in great atmosphere at the pub and foog is excellent
It's a beautiful beach but disappointed to not be met with stunning blue-green waters. Don't expect what you see in pictures.

Ian the curator was so friendly and knowledgeable. He made our visit more than worthwhile!!! The local samosas he recommended were delicious!!!
This really has a small town museum feel about it highlighting the history of the town and surrounding areas especially the importance of Captain Cook to the area. It isn’t very large and the staff were very friendly and helpful with any questions you may have. There is even a quirky 100 year old orange in their collection. There isn’t a lot to see in Agnes Water so add this to your list if visiting.
What a great museum. $5 entry fee well worth it. Lots of history on Captain Cook & many artefacts to see & read. Wonderful tribute to the six young men who lost their lives in the sinking of the FV Dianne trawler off 1770 in 2017. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely experience, exploring the Agnes Water museum. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. Highly recommend checking it out.
Small but pleasant museum, which was free to enter and contained lots of information on the local history. Staff were very friendly, and it was a nice way to spend 30 minutes.
Interesting memorabilia and friendly staff. Great way to spend an hour or so.
Don’t miss this fabulous museum if your in town! There’s so much to see and read about the history and Capt Cooks landing here! There is a $5 entry fee for adults only and it’s a wonderful contribution to keep the history alive! Volunteer there today was full of info and lovely to chat too, Thankyou!!
Really good museum, definitely don't miss this cheap gem when in Agnes waters. Easily spent an hour here investigating the history and reading the historic books.

Chinamans beach is a great place to visit with plenty of parking although you cannot bring caravans or trailers to the beach as it’s a very steep entrance to drive into the car park and there are no long car parks here. Car parking is for about 10 cars only it’s only a short maybe 50 m walk From the car park to the beach. It does have lifeguards at certain times of the year but I wouldn’t advise swimming here on wild days definitely a great stop off for the day with family.
Beautiful beach, carpark nice and close. Well worth a look.
Quiet beach that's a short walk down the bitumen to the sand. No dogs allowed unfortunately due to conservation efforts in the area, but reasonable beach for a nice stroll. Toilet facilities located at the top near the car park.
Fantastic beach in a beautiful location, with walking trails and lookouts to enjoy. With dog friendly areas which is great too.
Wow what a location well worth the look and experience
There is plenty of parking, not crowded. Awesome spot
Watched some great full moon rises here
Beautiful wild beach. Perfect for watching the sun rise.
