The noodles were cooked to perfection with the correct degree of chewiness and flavor absorption. The poached egg lent well to the rest of the dish adding sheen and texture. The blistered shishitos were a good mix of subtle spiciness and acidity which made them very approachable. The duck pork buns had an elegant sweetness that made every bite worthwhile, they didn't last long. The daily dumpling was an excellent expression of a pork gyoza that also avoided the typical pitfalls of over saltiness or simplification. Sara the bartender was friendly and helpful with offering suggestions. The sake selection was appropriate and not overbearing. The whiskey selection was very extensive and tempting. Then, when we left, they suggested we go out their 'backdoor' to avoid the 18 inch curb. We saw further into their backrooms...which definitely gave us an even worse opinion of their restaurant. The quantity was too small for the hefty amount we pay. 5 bajji pieces for 6$ and 6-8 gobi for 8$. The gobi was made with tamarind sauce and the gobi was already fried and dried. The photos have been attached. The chain was not good as well. Inside the bajji and gobi was uncooked and unhealthy incase you eat. The onion inside the bajji was dry like rubber. You can’t even chew it rather take it out with your hands. Also the bajji not fried properly. The daal was watery and the made with multiple lentils. I had to throw all the food due to the quality.
