If you plan to go make sure to get online 25 days prior. Reservations are released daily. I didn’t realize it would be so booked and we almost missed out. Luckily, we were able to get on the waitlist and checked hourly for cancellations. Otherwise, we loved the experience. We plan on going back for our oldest’s 21st birthday ◡̈ I’ve always been a Coors drinker and it was cool having 3 tastings direct from the source.
We really enjoyed this tour! Very unique and interesting learning about the products we never knew Coors Brewery created! The tastings were enjoyed as well! We had a funny newly married tour guide named Mark, he really made our experience memorable!
The Coors Brewery tour in Colorado was amazing! The beer was unbelievably fresh and delicious—truly unlike anything you can get elsewhere. The staff made the experience even better; they were friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel welcome from start to finish. If you’re a beer lover (or just want a fun and unique experience), this is absolutely worth the trip!
Diane was a phenomenal tour guide! We enjoyed the experience while hearing some great history and learning some of the "how" Coors has grown over the 150 years. We recommend this your as it was informative, fun, and if you like Coors, we received 3 samples too! The gift shop has some unique Coors items as a bonus.
Had a great time at the Coors Brewery tour. The tour lasts about an hour and they give you three samplers along the way. They talk through the history of Coors, how they brew their beer, distribution and manufacturing. Our guide was great and he welcomed and answered any questions along the way. Only downside was some of the corporate "greenwashing" that felt a bit forced by our tour guide which could have been skipped. If you're stopping by golden you are already headed to the Coors tour so you don't need my opinion, but it's a fun tour and highly recommended.
As a beer lover, I've done a number of brewery tours over the years. But touring Coors in Golden, CO was like the holy grail. It's the largest single site brewery IN THE WORLD!! The tour was very informative, not just about the brewery and the brewing process, but also about Coors' history. AND there are beer samples throughout the tour. However, even if you don't like beer, I highly recommend it.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Coors Brewery – Golden, Colorado Even though we weren’t able to take the full tour (it was booked out two weeks), visiting the hospitality lounge and exhibits was more than worth it. What made it truly special wasn’t just the history of beer and the creative displays—it was the heart behind it all. Seeing the Semper Fidelis Award presented to Peter H. Coors for his dedication to community, family, and country spoke volumes. The fact that he’s not only the chairman, but also a man who served this nation, added a whole new layer of respect. On our way out, we even overheard employees sharing how Peter still stops by to greet the staff—that kind of humility and presence is rare in leadership today. Between the veteran memorials, folded flags, challenge coins, and that deep sense of loyalty and gratitude, Coors showed us it’s more than just a brewery. It’s a place where history, service, and community come together—and that’s why this visit will stay with us. From two veterans: we salute you. 🇺🇸
A good experience. Our tour guide Hines was pretty knowledgeable and was great. I wished the tour had views of the can or bottle making process. That would have made the trip worth it. The three beers included were nice.

Spent the day at the Buffalo Bill Museum + Grave, and it felt like stepping into the pages of all the Western stories I grew up loving. The sights, the stories, the spirit of the frontier—brought back so many memories of dusty trails, cowboy legends, and a time when the West was still wild. A truly unforgettable visit. Loved it! Wish the gift shop was open.
Great little museum that highlights Buffalo Bill, his shows and his positive impact on the people around him. Great displays of saddles, cloths, guns and guns from his colorful life. Cost is very reasonable and The Cody burial site (he and his wife) is just a short walk up the hill.
The museum was interesting and the tickets were extremely reasonable at $5/piece. Gives you access to real bathrooms as well, which was better than the porta potty options outside. The museum had a lot to see and read, along with the gravesite outside. Spent about 30-45 minutes here. The view was nice from up there as well.
I was driving along I-70 W from Denver when I spotted the sign for Buffalo Bill’s Grave and decided to take a spontaneous detour . One of the best road trip decisions I’ve made! The drive up Lookout Mountain took about 10 minutes and I even made a quick stop for amazing ground coffee at Et Voila French Bakery nearby. There’s no admission fee to visit the grave and the site has plenty of free parking. You can easily walk around or just stop at one of the scenic overlooks for a breathtaking 360 degree view of the mountains and Denver below. It’s immediately clear why Buffalo Bill himself wanted to be buried here the view alone is worth the trip. Unfortunately, I didn’t have time to visit the museum, but the historic grave, the peaceful setting and the panoramic views made it absolutely worthwhile. A real piece of American history, beautifully preserved and easy to access. Perfect quick stop for anyone traveling along I-70! Tip: Bring a camera — the views and the monument are incredibly photogenic.
Happened to see the sign for this when traveling to Idaho Springs so I went to take a look & was not disappointed! I had heard the name Buffalo Bill but certainly did not know what an impact he had on this area. it was a lot of fun to explore the museum and see the mountain towns from the overlook.
Very cool little museum. Tons of personal artifacts from the Cody family and lots of good Buffalo Bill history. Wish the gift shop and cafe were still open. Good little stop outside of Denver and you can explore the Denver Mountain parks.
Before visiting I had a good idea of who Buffalo Bill was but after visiting here. Wow, this guy was something truly amazing and lived quite the life. The museum had a ton of amazing artifacts, guns, Native American artifacts and even stuff to keep the tweens busy. I would visit again if I come back to Golden again. Highly suggest checking this out and the view is quite amazing up there! 😎
Our first trip to Denver, and this was a must see. The museum is quiet, clean, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable about the museum and the surrounding area. The view was breathtaking, literally. If you have ANY sort of fear of heights at all, I don't recommend the trip up, or the lookout area. For us though, it was great and I do think everyone that can handle the height should experience this.

Ended up being an easier hike than I expected. Even out of shape 54 year old me could do it. Glorious views!
Easy drive to the top of this mountain with phenomenal views of the greater Denver area! Also enjoyed our visit to Buffalo Bill's museum at the top.
The views here left us spellbound! I loved the sight of downtown Denver from such a height. We took loads of photos and saw Buffalo Bill's grave. Heard the sunset here rocks!
The view are magnificent. View city of Golden and the mountains are gorgeous. Has a Buffalo Bill museum there along with his supposedly grave.
You can see eastward towards Denver and beyond on a clear day (unfortunately, it rained as you can see in the photos). Great view of Downtown Golden, though.
Great view of the city, easy to access with drive to the top. Cool history with Buffalo Bill's grave nextdoor.
This is a VERY beautiful place. You can see Golden, Boulder, Denver, and probably more. We did this as part of the Lariat Loop (HIGHLY RECOMMEND). It was a great place to take in the scenery. The gift shop was closed when we were there, which was a bummer. We were looking forward to that, but can’t complain about the rest!
Sunsets are nice and I’m sundays not a huge crowd. You will see bikes and cars riding the winding road slot as well

Museums
Large indoor-outdoor history museum with 100-plus vintage trains, a miniature railroad & exhibits.
Slide 1 of 8
We had an amazing time at the Colorado Railroad Museum! It was our first time there, and we were blown away by the working trains. The museum was beautifully laid out, with lots of cars and engines to explore. Even if you’re a train enthusiast, there’s a library there too! The grounds were well-maintained and easy to navigate. The train ride, though not very long, was a lovely and relaxing experience in vintage cars. It was super interesting and relaxing. The turntable and repair shop were very informative and super cool. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were plenty of things for the kids to do, including a special car just for them. The model trains were also very entertaining and made for a great setting. If you’re in the Denver area, you absolutely must visit this museum!
Cool trains on the property and a fun stop overall. We were supposed to ride the steam engine, but due to a staff shortage they ran the Galloping Goose instead. It was still a neat experience, but I wish they had let us know ahead of time that the steam engine wasn’t operating. The ride itself loops around the property about three times—fun for kids, though a bit underwhelming for adults. The highlight for us was the downstairs train room—really impressive and definitely worth checking out. We also got to push the train wheel, which was surprisingly fun! Staff was friendly and helpful throughout our visit. We enjoyed it, but given the small size of the museum, it’s probably a one-time experience for us.
Highly recommend a visit here if you are in the area and have a few hours to spare. There are a lot of locomotives and rail cars on the property that you can explore, as well as a couple model train setups, and train rides. The model trains in the basement of the museum are very detailed, and the volunteers took time to explain everything about it. Bring quarters, because you can use them to activate some different features of the model train city. Outside, take some time to explore all of the various trains set up throughout the property. You can climb into and walk through many of them. For an extra fee, you can take a train ride around the perimeter of the property. It is well worth the fee, as someone explains the history of the museum and many of the trains you see throughout the property during the loops around the edge of the yard.
There’s a good variety of historic trains to see, and being able to walk through some of them makes it even more interesting. The volunteers are friendly and knowledgeable, and the exhibits do a nice job explaining Colorado’s railroad history. The small-gauge train ride is a fun extra. It’s an enjoyable stop in Golden and definitely worth visiting.
This was an amazing experience!! We made sure to go on the weekend, when the trains were running. There's so much history here. You will lose time in the museum, taking it all in. The location is breathtaking. The models are truly remarkable. The staff that work here, genuinely love their jobs, and are so kind. We packed a lunch and spent all day here. There's so much to take in if you pay attention to the details!!
So fun! They have a very wide selection of trains and train-related goodness. Everyone that works there is very nice, knowledgeable, and clearly enjoy what they do. You can explore the inside of several of the trains and while we were there they had train rides going, which was very fun. Lots of fun little activities and historical displays available. Highly recommend if you like trains (obviously), history, transportation, or just want spend your afternoon doing something fun. We went on a weekend and while it was fairly busy, we didn't have to wait to get in or feel crowded at any point.
Fun rail museum that we made sure to see on our visit to Colorado. A large collection of cars and engines to see. Unfortunately, because of vandalism not all of the cars were available to see and experience on a weekend which was a huge bummer. If you take the train ride definitely enjoy the restored car from the 1880s, it's beautiful. The model rail road downstairs is extraordinary and very detailed. Overall, the experience felt very very kid oriented and us adult kids that enjoy trains have to deal with screaming and general disregard from kids pushing past or through photos. We would have liked to also see the library and all of it's treasures in there but that was also closed. Tried buying a pin and a patch for my collection...only one was available to buy. The engines and collection are great, and if you're a rail fan there's definitely something here for you to enjoy, but overall the experience left us wanting.
Worthwhile spot to go to with kids! We went for the Harvest Haunt before Halloween and our little one loved it. It felt like a small space when I initially arrived but you can easily spend an entire day there with kids, between the special exhibits/activities, the kids caboose, the museum, the model train inside, etc. Highly recommend a visit, especially for the specials!

Walked the Raccoon Trail from Panorama Point and stopped in at the visitor center. Amazing views from the trailhead. The trail itself is very well maintained and relatively easy for us (fit 54-55 yr olds). This park looks to be very well maintained by the State. (Makes one wonder if CO should manage RMNP as well!). Exhibits at the visitor center are great for kids and the rangers are very friendly. Kids will love feeding the trout too.
I've visited this park several times for day use. I've never camped overnight here. The views from Panorama Point are incredible! From there you can see the spine of the Rocky Mountains that form the Continental Divide. I hiked the entire Mule Deer Trail, which I thoroughly enjoyed. There are many nice places for picnics. There are many aspen trees for fall color. It is well worth visiting.
Golden Gate Canyon State Park is my new favorite escape! This place is huge, and the moment you get there, you feel like you're deep in the mountains, even though it's a quick drive from the city. The hiking is incredible, with so many trails to choose from.We went to see the "natural gold," and the aspen groves were absolutely stunning—like something out of a fairytale. The views from trails like Raccoon Trail are breathtaking, with a mix of golden, red, and orange leaves everywhere. What I really appreciated was the ample parking; it was great to find a spot without any trouble. It's a beautiful, well-maintained park that I can't recommend enough for a perfect fall day hike.
This is one of the most beautifully maintained state parks that I've ever visited. The trails are clean and clear, the campgrounds are very tidy, there are multiple smooth paved roads (no potholes!), and the forests are well spaced and managed. There's a ton of wildlife and fauna to see too. On just one hike I saw a moose, deer, eagles and dozens of different flowers and mushrooms. Make sure to stop by the Visitors Center as well. The staff were very friendly and helped me (a first time visitor) review a map and gave me plenty of trail tips. There's also a cute trout pond.
We love this area and it's views. From camping to simply leaf peeping or a day drive... our trips are always a great experience. The wildlife variety makes for exciting viewing and we make it a game to see who can spot the most animals or the most variety of wildlife. A few from our past trip included yak, moose, deer, and chipmunk looking squirrels? We love nature and its beauty. ♡
My family and I had a picnic these inside the park today near Round The Bend rest stop area. It had 2 picnic tables and a grill. It was a little overgrown but my mom still managed it with her walker. It was besides a beautiful brook. Very peaceful, quiet & serene. It was a gorgeous Fall Colors trip! We will definitely be back to explore more!
Snow shoe hare trail was nice!! Got off track a couple times but mostly marked and found our way! Rocky with some good incline. Had to walk in a quarter of a mile because the campgrounds are closed for the season. Overall fun hike!
Not my bag in terms of hiking, but if that's your thing there are a ton of trails. Very beautiful place, good price, parking wasn't too bad. If you want to see aspens and such, you're in Denver and RMNP is too far, this is a very nice, peaceful, beautiful state park!!

Allot of cool exhibits to see, its two stories , allot of interesting information, they have a replica of a tunnel you can walk through with sensors that play sounds and turn on and off lights very cool and clever. Best park, ITS FREE
Very cool little museum! Free, minus $10 for all day parking. I would say good for kindergarten and up, our little guy got bored quickly. I liked how the displays were organized by region, we could really see similar minerals and colors. Kids loved the mine section and the florescent rocks.
It's the best free museum I've ever been to. I could have spent two more hours had I made it there earlier in the day. There are two levels, a fossil section, a mine shaft to walk through, and a section that explains the fracking process to a layman like me. Tons of interesting stuff.
1. I found a parking space with a meter and paid $2 per hour. There are only about 10 such spots, and otherwise you must park in the garage for $!0. 2. I didn't like the big murals showing enslaved workers in Egyptian and other times doing the hard mine work and getting beaten. It is ancient reality but is depressing. 3. I asked a young woman at the desk if she knew where a rock was that my friend donated, and she looked on a list on the computer, and said he wasn't on that list. A manager later told me they have no such lists, I have to talk to the curator, so the young woman had lied to me. The three young people working here looked compleletly uninterested in their jobs. 4. The bookstore displays book "All My Friends are Dead," which I paged through which was depressing. It is a Dark Comedy, but I never laughed or even smiled once; it was sick. It is poor that they stock and show a title like this to people. 5. The entire museum is very poorly organized, by country, and some special exhibits. The basement has meteorites, a moon rock, and dinosaur bones, which were the only memorable items. 6. I hoped to actually learn something, but instead just saw pretty colors. I was very disappointed with this museum.
This place was awesome. Free entry, clean, interesting gems and rocks from around the world and the moon. Very nice staff. Parking next door in the lot was $10+. Just a heads up.
A must see place when coming to Golden. Very close to downtown. An incredible assortment of Geology and fossils from around the world and even the moon. Two floors of exhibits. The students are very friendly. While free kindly donate.
I had to look at every single stone, display, wall thing, just all of it!! Such an amazing collection, with pieces I was so excited to see...like a huge herkier (go see it!) and so many meteorites. I will be bringing people there because this museum is a gem in itself!
Wonderful collection from all over the world and beyond. Admission is free as well as parking in designated visitor spots.

Wow, what a wonderful experience. And what a wonderful story you need to go very spiritual and uplifting. She was an amazing saint , and you need to go drink some of the water and go to the top beautiful. You can do stations in the cross all the way up.
It was absolutely beautiful. I wasn’t prepared for the number of people walking up the road. It seems to me that it would be safer to put a small pedestrian path along the road to keep both pedestrians and motorists safe.
Much more than I was expecting. Beautiful facility and grounds. Lots of meditation/prayer spaces and walking. I so thoroughly pray donations taken in continue to assist children.
I love this place! It is my go to when I need to feel peace. Beautiful views, peaceful environment!
Beautiful shrine with deep spiritual meaning. My experience here was wonderful with one exception. I'd like to suggest when people visit, reverence in the public areas should be remembered. After climbing the steps to the statue and shrine I was anxious to sit and take everything in along with saying prayers. Sadly my plan was spoiled by a very loud family who obviously felt this was a party atmosphere. Standing near the steps, laughing loudly, talking loudly and kids running all over. Frankly it took away from the tranquility that I had expected. I understand people wish to talk and maybe not be there for prayer but it can be done quietly as to not disturb those of us there spiritually. Other than this disappointing experience, the rest of my visit was wonderful. The chapel, well/spring and grotto were peaceful, tranquil and beautiful. The gift shop was well stocked and the clerk was helpful and friendly. This was a must stop for me during this Jubilee year and I hope to return.
Beautiful location with a lot of history and peaceful views. I didn’t know about Mother Cabrini until I visited Colorado recently and I was told that they have a state holiday in her honor. It was very interesting to read about her and her good deeds.
What a life changing experience…’a beautiful peaceful place to spend time at.. very quiet and relaxing.. must go to
Beautiful and quiet at the right times. Even when swarmed, it can be really special. Wheelchair accessible, but some walkways need improving. Love the gardens, the birds, the Aspen, and the sacred spaces.

Took four kids, ages 3 -6, and had a wonderful time. Rides were in very good condition, employees were very pleasant and accomodating, area was clean. Definitely worth a visit for those with kids under 10; rumors that we heard this place was closed, or closing, were extremely false. Couldn't have found a better place to entertain young ones on a Sunday afternoon.
We did not get the memo that Heritage Square was just a few rides for infants left. They were beaten out of their lease by a big corporation. In 2015 the big corporationstarted doing things to make them leave. It use to be a fun family environment. It is now totally closed.
Great actors, great fun and affordable. Love that they improv alot of the show. Hurt from laughing so much. Excellent service, drinks were strong, food is "okay", show was fantastic. Plan to go to their kids show and also to return for another date night ASAP. Discover this little gem before its gone!
Wish I had never gone. Called the owner to request a refund (after having walked in and out) and he called me a liar and was exceptionally rude. No wonder he's going out of business. Karma is not going to be good to you, Alan.
It would have been nice if most of the rides have been open and not shut down early. Been nice to go out in style. Ran out of food early. Had to wait an hour and a half before my order came
Sad to see this place go! Hay rides! Sweets! Alpine slide! And great location name too.... Magic Mountain...
Spent a lot of my childhood here, sad it's gone forever. If you have pics post them please.

Awesome service, great ambiance, and very good beer! What more could you ask for? How about an amazing outside seating area and live music? Loved this place and will definitely return the next time I am in Golden.
Being the second largest brewery in Golden - they are by far the best. Great off-the-main-street location, quaint little taphouse with lots of outdoor seating with heaters for cooler weather. Not a huge selection of beers, but the ones we had are excellent. Evolution IPA, Lookout Stout, Guava Bomber Sour and the Arrogant Brit ESB. If you’re in Golden, don’t go to Coors - visit Golden City Brewing!
I really enjoyed the selection of beers at GCB. I opted for the Kölsch and it was excellent — crisp, refreshing, and well-balanced. The brewery offers plenty of seating, both indoors and outdoors, with a spacious, dog-friendly patio that creates a very welcoming atmosphere. The service was prompt and friendly, which made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend stopping by if you're looking for a relaxed spot to enjoy good beer in Golden.
This is a very small brewery in Golden just outside the Colorado School of Mines campus. It’s a block off the walking trail along Clear Creek near the Golden History park. The inside of the taproom is pretty small, but the patio is decent sized and includes an enclosed area with heaters for when the weather is cold. They had a food truck outside that seemed pretty popular, but we didn’t try any food. They had over 10 of their own beers on tap and a handful of guest brewery beverages on taps when we visited. They had a few wines available as well. The Evolution IPA (West Coast style) was very tasty, and the Dortmunder was quite refreshing. It’s really nice that it’s walking distance from Mines campus and we will definitely be back next time we’re in town.
The atmosphere is casual, mostly outdoor tables..I like that I can plug in my laptop in covered outdoor seating and chill while drinking a refreshing Seltzer on tap! Good Phillys too.
Great beer. Golden City Bites food truck is amazing. Only issue for parents with littles is lack of changing rooms (unless there was something and we missed it). Potentially similar limitations for those with accessibility issues as well.
Favorite brewery of the ones we went to in Golden! I enjoyed the sours as well as "The Arrogant Brit" ESB. Will be back next time I'm in the area!
This was a cool little spot we had the pleasure of checking out. Staff was very friendly, drinks were delicious, and the food was good. They have a food truck on site for small bites.

Fall driving was extraordinary beautiful . Colorado scenic views are great wherever you go
I-25 is the worst road in the US. its bumpy, full of potholes, totally uneven, poorly kept/repaired despite always being under construction. And in Denver- Holy sh&t - just go around if you can.
Beautiful drive with awesome scenery
There are absolutely NO scenic views unless you're looking for city buildings & a small glimpse of distant mountains. Very disappointing and misleading!!
So amazing. There is a reason they call it God's country. I love it.
great views and lots of scenic pull offs for pictures
It was okay, I think google maps took me in the wrong area though!!

The nature center and forest loop trail was a great place to go with two little ones. The trail was a 0.5 mile loop that took us 20 mins and the nature center had lots of fun kid activities. A carpeted room with books and puppets. Plus an area with a tent and camping toys the kids could play with. Recommend for anyone looking to kill some time or take a break on a road trip. There were plenty of outdoor picnic tables and lots of parking.
Was not open when we visited. We drove to the "overlook" but there were not any views. Talked to a DNR person working and they said to go to the next exit to the parking area to see the mountains and mountain sheep grazing. We were able to do both from there
I have been too Colorado twice and have made sure to stop here both times. Breathe taking views
Great views across the street! Lovely sunset spot. Didn't get a chance to go into the center as we went too late, for the sunset.
Beautifully maintained buildings and easy hiking trails within a short drive from Denver.
Very well done for kids and adults. Rangers very helpful and nice easy walk around the grounds. Well worth the drive up the hill.
This is a great place to visit when you're up on Lookout Mountain. They have educational exhibits, clean bathrooms, and a water bottle refilling water fountain. Inside, you can pick up various trail maps, get info from a docent, or let the kids play in the kids area. Outside, they have a covered deck with rocking chairs

Golden City is an absolute treasure! From the moment you arrive, you’re greeted with warmth, charm, and a sense of timeless elegance. The atmosphere is vibrant yet peaceful, with stunning architecture, friendly locals, and a deep sense of culture that makes you feel instantly at home. Whether you’re exploring historic sites, enjoying local cuisine, or simply soaking in the golden sunsets, every moment here feels special. Truly a place that lives up to its name—shining bright in every way!
A perfect place to start a visit to Golden. There is free parking on the south side, for up to two hours - fantastic. Beautiful trail, well-maintained buildings. Bikers are asked to use the south-side trail and tubers the north side trail, but people can walk on either side, and we saw no bikes. We loved it.
Nice little park. A bit of history to go along with the beautiful scenery. Hiking/biking trails on both sides of the river. Close to Downtown Golden. Shops, restaurants also close. Parking is kinda hit and miss. Some free parking for a period of time. A free parking lot close, but is closed after October 1st for snow dumping.
Came here during December and we’re extremely impressed! The park and the downtown area of Golden is super clean with a peaceful country vibe. The river walk trail was a nice escape from the hustle and bustle of the Denver area. We definitely plan on visiting here again!
Cute little history park along the Clear Creek trail. Learn a little bit about Golden as you enjoy time outside!
Cute little park. Good walking. Free exhibits to check out. Gardens and historic things to see with good information. Dogs welcome but closed and locked bathrooms? No trashcan. Why? You invite people to come and capitalize off the tourism for your whole town. Give us trashcans and open your bathroom and porta potty. And stop making excuses. Take care of your tourists.
Very nice and easy trail, great for the whole family young and old. Well maintained, paved with lots of access points to the water (some of the access are graduate sloped for easier access for mobility!) Bike is encouraged to use south bank trail while leaving North bank trail for slower pace walking. This help keeping the trail more enjoyable to all and reduce the conflicts between faster traffic with enjoying viewer. A lot of tuber launch and exit pools along the trail for summer time fun. The fall colors are very good, specially like this fall. Free parking at 10th street if you want to enjoy more than 2 hours, near by parking is free for first two hours only, so utilize the parking lot a little bit to the east on 10th street (It's less than 0.5miles from the parks. less than a hundred yard from Clear creek Trail. ) and enjoy more relaxed pace is recommended.
Love this park, especially since they have added all the new beautiful routes down to the water. It is great to see kayakers, paragliders and walkers out and about in all weather. Also love the new history 'homes' that are decorated inside and the chicken coop. Lots of fun and beauty for the family. Good running and a playground too!

Love it! A must place to go to see stunning quilts.
The quilt museum is okay, a little small but you do get to look at some fascinating works of art. This isn’t a must do it’s more of if you’re in the area and you ran out of things to do kinda museum
Took my crafter 12 year old grandson to the Ricky Timms exhibit. Very informative! Also enjoyed the side gallery exhibit. I love penguins.
Such a great museum. Glad to see it's still going strong!
We went to see quilter Ricky Timms quilts that were on display. It is worth stooping by and checking out the exhibits. If you have not yet been to the Rocky Mountain Quilt Museum, you need to stop by and check it out.
We had a terrific docent! She pointed out details we would have missed. Bonnie Murphy's quilts were amazing!
I know nothing about quilting, I make clothes, and amount of work some people put in their work is insane! The quilts there don’t look like usual blankets, they are paintings that were made with fabrics. Incredible!!! Some people are really talented! They also have classes sometimes where they show how to do quilting. If you’re interested in making your own piece of art, come check this place. They also sell fabrics, books and quilting kits and ready to answer any questions. Very impressed with this place!
A wonderful museum located in Golden right off 6th. They change their collection about every quarter. Beautiful pieces with great descriptions of each artist. The gift shop is adorable with lots of quilting things you can buy and beautiful gifts/souvenirs. Such a cute little museum, I highly recommend a visit if you're in the area.

Very sweet ladies working the counter who were extremely friendly, helpful, and informative. They gave great advice and recommendations for places to go and sights to see in Golden. They'll also give you some golden tickets that are good for discounts at various retailers in the area. Besides their personal advice, there's many pamphlets and flyers advertising different tourist attractions in the area. I'd recommend stopping by here on your visit to Golden.
Unmatched kindness by the women who were working today ❤️ shout out to Kathy who helped us contact our family when we got separated in town today. They also were so kind helping my son choose a map to take with him this afternoon - which he is still playing with this evening. Eternally grateful for this very welcoming welcome center, thank you so much!
An Unexpected Star Performance at Golden CO Visitors & Information Center! We meant to post this sooner, but a couple of months ago we visited the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center and it was nothing short of a comedic spectacle, all thanks to the wonderful women working there! My brother Mitch, as part of a whimsical challenge, arrived adorned in what can only be described as a hysterically ridiculous Donald Duck costume. What could have been a mere awkward moment transformed into an epic, laughter-filled event. The fantastic ladies at the center, recognizing a golden opportunity for some lighthearted fun, coaxed Mitch into performing some classic acts. There he was, in full Donald Duck regalia, doing the chicken dance followed by the endearing "I'm a Little Teapot", much to the amusement of everyone present. The laughter was contagious, and the atmosphere electric! But they didn't stop there. To ensure the hilarity was immortalized, they took the party outdoors, making Mitch pose for some unforgettable pictures. The combination of the beautiful Golden backdrop and a grown man in a duck costume was comedy gold (and public embarrassment)! A massive shoutout to the amazing team at the Golden CO Visitors & Information Center. Not only do they provide top-notch service and information, but they truly understand the essence of community spirit, fun, and humor. We left with our bellies aching from laughter and memories that will last a lifetime. Mitch, despite his blushing cheeks, couldn't stop raving about how wonderfully playful and engaging the staff was. We can't wait for our next visit! We hope they will let him duck-waddle back very soon!!
Sun was out the water wasn't too cold definitely worth it if you're going out for a walk or wanting to jump in the water! Lots to do and see for all ages
Lots of information. A nice place to sit outside looking over the river. Parking is limited.
Super nice ladies, first two hours of parking are free. They are great to help you figure it out.
Very nice welcome center. We were taking a walking tour of the area and the ladies there could not have been more helpful or friendly.
No use of restrooms, directed you to park across the street. Public bathrooms had NO soap, what the heck? Homeless dude was sleeping on the wall by the restroom.

Had a great time with grandchildren to bad today was the last day. We sad to see it go

One of the best experiences with tubing. It has become a Saturday ritual for me and my husband to go tubing here every week of July and planning for August as well as long as the water level is good. There are many restrooms around the place and picnic area.
Made a day trip to lookout mountain and this water park in golden. Excellent for those hot summer days to go tubing or just to soak your feet in the fresh water.
Really nice and clean you can always find a private part next to the river also good for walking
Once u pay for parking there is a little kiddie pool area to the left of the park area. Next to the statue of the kayak guy. Then there is a playground and some picnic benches. If you want to tube u must walk about half a mile on the trail and then pick a spot to safely get in water. Watch for flags and that's it!
Seems quite fun while I didn't jump in the river just walking along the river is quite relaxing and many things going on from street musicians to simply relaxing with sound of water, breeze and nature besides all the laughter going on from adults to kids. It was a nice walk, I observed some murals, some park rangers patrolling, a library, some historical buildings, a musician and many practicing or perfecting their paddle boarding skills. It was an enjoyable walk along both sides, there's slides for kids to get down instead of using the stairs. I spoke to someone and they said would definitely make sense to simply buy your tube if possible as the prices would be comparable.just FYI.
Had a great time tubing with my teenagers. Great atmosphere and fun rapids.
Close to Denver and really beautiful pathway along the nice looking trees. Rocks all around. Very beautiful walk. Highly recommend it
The perfect way to spend a day on a Colorado river! There are many entry points, so you can choose the length of your trip. People from the ages of 8 on up were tubing and paddle boarding while we were there. The walking path along the river is new and very well maintained. There are also well placed rocks, benches, and an amphitheater for you to sit while you watch others tube. There is a sign stating that there is a strictly enforced no alcohol policy and we only saw one group with beers towards sunset. This would be a great activity for any group from college friends to a family. Everyone was being safe and respectful of the space.
