The place is a must visit, the collection itself is extensive yet curated very meticulously. There are three museum in total at this place which house artifacts collected overtime by the curator Mr. Victor Hugo gomes( just google him) himself . The guided tour is priced around 300 per person and the tour guides are well informed and courteous. The time and effort that has been put into the museum is evident. There is ample parking at the place drinking water and washrooms are also available.The museum has a canteen also but timings you have to check.

Ticket counter lady is very joyful, and the guidance didi is very kind, gives me a lot of new knowledges! The museum is full of important object for the student like me, and the architecture was designed in Goan colonial heritage. I really appreciate this place so much! I am a fan of old vessels, furniture, implements and so visiting this was a natural choice. My son & I spent more than an hour and it was well worth the INR 300 ticket.
Our guide Muskaan, a history graduate was articulate and did a very good job taking us through all the three sections of the museum. The curators love and effort shows in the many many items in the collection that would have taken a significant effort to collect and display

There are three museums forming the Goa Chitra Museum.
The best part is every visit is accompanied by a guide who provides an informed commentary on the exhibits and is able to answer questions. In our case, Hazel was an excellent guide and greatly helped our appreciation of all three museums.
The collections in all three museums are extremely well presented and documented. Taking the best part of 35 years for the owner to bring together they tell a fascinating story of Goa and India. The focus on the wheel in one of the museums brings together the world’s largest collection wheeled carts and palanquins, all of which are beautiful, but some exquisitely so with detailed carvings and inlays.
The agricultural museum has a fine collection of agricultural implements and provides an insight into the lives, culinary and agricultural practices of Goa.
Finally, the colonial Goa section houses artefacts from the Portuguese era showing the introduction of modern technology and the lives and lifestyles of the Indo-Portuguese.
Absolutely no hesitation in recommending the Goa Chitra Museum as a great way to spend an hour or two learning more about Goa and India.

Had a one on one tour with the lovely Hazel. Took about an hour to go round the three parts of the museum. Lots of interesting exhibits to see. Well worth the INR300 admission. I walked there and back from Benaulim beach - took 90 mins in the hot sun.

We were extremely happy with the guided tour. The curator himself was guiding groups and was happy to talk about his journey as an artist and restorer. Highly recommended if you visit South Goa.

Today I visited the temple with my sister for an Abhishek ritual. The priests there seemed to be Marathi. My sister was not wearing jeans or a top—she was properly dressed in a saree, and not even a fashionable or flashy one, just a simple plain saree appropriate for religious rituals.

It's always crowded and big so you might get often lost especially when trying to find the exit, but once you get the hang of it, it's much easier. Great place to buy goan food products and house hold items.

Shall find what you need as the place has all sorts of repair options, shopping and retail needs. However beware of pickpockets and street hawkers. Car parking is a big no. Place can only be roamed on foot. Try and get a parking on the other side of the municipal garden. The marketplace is quite big so do ask around if you need something specific as the locals would have some better knowledge about it.

From the Madgoan market board the bus to the Madgaon bus stand and say the conductor you want to go to the holy spirit church. From the bus stop( sessions court ) this church is less than 5 minutes walk. Evening is the best time to visit this church as it may be open and we can enter inside the church.

Being located near Highway , a crowded place the temple becomes one of the location of identity of place. Although temple area is very cool and calm.
A lovely place to worship lord , very spacious, clean and strong.
Idol is charming and dynamic .looking at the idol one will definately start chanting 'ॐ श्री राम जय राम जय जय राम' for sure. smile of satisfaction blushes on face, thoughts of Hanuman Chalisa appears in mind and a kind of vibration takes place during which positive energy generates in the body.
Interior is spacious, very clean and well lit. Nicely painted and arranged. Bhatji/Pandit is very kind and nice. Puja is performed on regular basis.
Infront of the temple A huge Ashwat tree (just inside at the main entrance gate ) makes the place Auspicious. An idol of 'Naga' is placed under the tree for worship. Tulsi vrindavan is also placed near the temple.
Temple area is small but temple looks huge due to its creative design and painting.
A must visit place for a devotee to offering prayers or to seek blessings and powers from the Lord.
Do visit with a clean mind , spend some time with Lord and achieve success in life.

Steeped in about 400 years of history and still standing proud and all. We did a walking tour of the seminary with Goan shutterbugs and everything was explained to us so thoroughly.
The Church itself is so well maintained and immaculately kept. There’s even a working pipe organ and century old paintings are restored to their former glory. Some earlier paintings were done directly onto the wall and not on a canvas. The Seminary’s grounds are really well maintained too. If you’re a butterfly lover you’ll be sure to spot a lot of species in the front garden.
The best time to visit Rachol is just after the monsoons. Everything is so beautifully green and the rivers and creeks are full. You can even take a 10 minute walk down to the ferry point and take a ride across the river free of charge. (Only cars are charged)

Went there on an evening. It's very relaxing beach. But the thing is if u want to go to the beach you have a cross a very minute stream of water. The sand is usually soft. Since it was monsoon it was okay-ish. The water is clear. Dosen't have the fishy odour. The fun fact is there are people who braid your hair on a charge of 100₹ it's quite expensive. First they say it's 150₹ but I would suggest to bargain a bit.

Totally, totally worth visiting Betalbatim Beach! I was staying near Benaulim, and it was hardly 2 km away. This place is absolutely beautiful — calm, clean, and not at all crowded. It’s a perfect spot if you want to swim or just relax peacefully.
One thing to note: avoid going at night, as the way is quite dark and the area isn’t very crowded, so it’s better to visit during the day. For girls, it’s a very comfortable and safe beach — you can wear whatever you like and just enjoy freely. I stayed for 3 days nearby and had an amazing time. You’ll also find many friendly foreigners around.
Definitely a must-visit beach in South Goa — peaceful, free, and totally worth it! 🌊✨

This has to be one of the cleanest beaches I have visited. The sand is clean and water is even clearer. There are just a few shacks and not too much crowd. The biggest attraction is the very clear water which is close to the sandy shore making it ideal for sitting and relaxing family as well as playing in shallow waters.

Such an horrible place.. I had the worst experience over here.. First of all the pools are very dirty. The tiles in the pool are broken too. You would easily get hurt. In fact one my friend did get hurt and he had to get 4 stitches. And the staff us not good, especially the wife. They all are very rude and they actually don't care.. After my friend got injured we asked for first aid box. On checking the first aid box, the medicines were expired.
